Single phase heat transfer coefficients were measured for turbulent water flow in a plate & shell heat exchangers by using Wilson plot method. An experiment for counterflow heat exchange between the plate and shell was performed. The shell side heat transfer resistance was varied and the overall heat transfer coefficients were measured. The single-phase heat transfer coefficients in a plate side were obtained by Wilson plot method. Single-phase heat transfer correlations based on projected heat transfer area have been proposed for a plate & shell heat exchanger.

Andrews (1972) proposed to combine trigonometric functions to represent n observations of p variates, where the coefficients in linear sums are taken from the values of corresponding observation's respective variates. By viewing Andrews' plot as a collection of n trajectories of p-dimensional objects (observations) as a weighting point loaded with dimensional weights moves along a certain path on the hyper-dimensional sphere, we develop graphical techniques for further uses in data visualization. Specifically, we show that the parallel coordinate plot is a special case of Andrews' plot and we demonstrate the versatility of Andrews' plot with a projection pursuit engine.

일반화선형모형 에서 추가되는 설명 변수의 비선형성의 존재와 형태를 파악하는데 사용되는 3차원 CBRBS그림의 구조와 유용성에 대해 알아본다. CBRBS그림은 설명변수들 사이에 비선형의 관계가 존재하는 경우 편잔차그림으로는 알아낼 수 없는 비선형성에 대한 탐지가 가능하다. 이를 생성된 자료를 이용하여 확인해 본다.

Testing normality is very important because the most common assumption is normality in statistical analysis. We propose a new plot and test statistic to goodness-of-fit test for normality based on the generalized Lorenz curve. We compare the new plot with the Q-Q plot. We also compare the new test statistic with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS), Cramer-von Mises (CVM), Anderson-Darling (AD), Shapiro-Francia (SF), and Shapiro-Wilks (W) test statistic in terms of the power of the test through by Monte Carlo method. As a result, new plot is clearly classified normality and non-normality than Q-Q plot; in addition, the new test statistic is more powerful than the other test statistics for asymmetrical distribution. We check the proposed test statistic and plot using Hodgkin's disease data.

Runoff, sediments and nutrient losses were studied under different patterns of paddy field management: (1) fall and spring plowing (PL); (2) fall plowing for half of plot and spring plowing (SPL); (3) no-till for fall and spring plowing (NPL) during the non-cropping period in the southern Korea. Sediment losses from PL plot were 25% more than those from NPL plot. There was significant difference in nutrient losses via runoff water and sediment according to plowing practice (P < 0.01). Losses of total-N, ammonia-N, nitrate-N, total-P from NPL plot were larger than PL and SPL plots during study period. Sediment and total-P losses from SPL plot were close to those of PL plot.

개연규칙은 문장 구성성분들의 문장간 개연적 연결상황을 나타내고, 글의 인과성향이나 담화작용을 반영한다. Plot Units는 이야기를 형성하는 줄거리 또는 줄거리에 나오는 여러 사건을 하나로 구성하여 표현한다. 글을 읽고 Plot Units를 파악한다는 것은 그 글의 내용을 이해하고 있다는 것이다 본 논문에서는 이러한 Plot Units를 찾는 한 방법으로 개연규칙을 생각하였다. 개연규칙들을 Plot Units와 대응시켜 봄으로써. 개연규칙을 활용하여 글의 Piot Units를 발견할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

This experiment was carried out in order to study effect of organic fertilizer on the growth of Korean lawngrass(Zoysia matrella L. Merr.) and the change of soil chemical characteristics. Results obtained are summarized as follows: l. Organic fertilizer was appropriate for base-dressing in the establishment of turfgrass by means of sod. 2. Chlorophyll contents in mixed application plot of complex organic fertilizer were more abundant than that in single application plot of organic fertilizer. 3. The yield of dry weight in single application plot of organic fertilizer was greater about 40% than that in control plot. 4. As a whole, the growth of Korean lawngrass in mixed application plot of complex and organic fertilizer was more greater than that in single application plot of complex fertilizer. 5. Application of organic fertilizer promote effectiveness of available phosphorous in soil.

최근 만화시장에서 출판만화의 영향력이 줄어들면서 웹툰이 그 자리를 대체해가고 있다. 웹툰은 인터넷을 통해 빠르고 쉽게 서비스되면서 대중의 관심과 인기를 얻고 있다. 신선한 소재와 공감되는 주제를 통해 드라마와 영화로 제작되면서 문화콘텐츠 산업의 원작산업으로도 영향력이 증가하고 있다. 이처럼 웹툰에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 학술적인 연구 또한 시도되고 있다. 웹툰에 대한 다방면의 연구가 필요하지만, 현재 가장 중요시되는 연구는 독자들이 웹툰을 선택하는 기준인 '스토리'와 '작품성'이다. 작품성과 스토리가 뛰어난 웹툰을 창작하기 위해서는 논리적 인과관계를 통해 사건을 유기적으로 재구성하는 플롯에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 작품성과 스토리가 뛰어나다고 평가받는 강풀의 '미스터리 심리 썰렁물 시즌' 웹툰에서 나타난 2가지 메인 플롯인 수수께끼 플롯 <조명가게>와 구출 플롯 <이웃사람>을 통해 웹툰의 플롯에 대해 분석하였다. 이를 위해 '플롯의 특징'과 8가지의 '좋은 플롯' 원칙을 제시하고 있는 토비아스의 이론을 토대로 하였다. 먼저 토비아스의 이론을 바탕으로 '플롯의 특징'과 8가지 '좋은 플롯'의 원칙을 수정한 6가지 '좋은 플롯'의 원칙을 통해 강풀 웹툰을 분석하였다. 이 과정에서 웹툰에서 나타난 장면과 내용을 활용하여 토비아스의 이론이 강풀의 웹툰에 적용 가능한지를 확인했다. (1) 수수께끼 플롯 <조명가게>와 구출 플롯 <이웃사람>에서 토비아스의 '플롯의 특징'이 적용 가능했다. (2) 6가지 '좋은 플롯' 원칙 중 조명가게에서는 5가지 원칙이 나타났고 이웃사람은 6가지 원칙이 모두 나타났다. 이처럼 토비아스의 이론을 바탕으로 하는 플롯 분석이 웹툰의 플롯에도 적용 가능하다는 결론을 도출할 수 있었다. 또한 강풀 웹툰의 수수께끼 플롯 <조명가게>와 구출 플롯 <이웃사람>에서 나타난 '플롯의 특징'과 6가지 '좋은 플롯' 원칙의 내용을 통해 강풀의 웹툰 플롯이 정형화된 형태로 되어 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The study is aimed to investigate the features and socio-economic background of farmland consolidation project with medium-sized paddy plot at irrigation associations during the Japanese colonial period in Korea. Most of farmland consolidation works in the 1940s was composed of independent irrigation and drainage ditches along the short side of field plot. However, the number of farm roads at farmland consolidation zone was much smaller than number of irrigation ditches to decrease reduction in farmland area. The standard field plot was medium-sized (about 20-40 ares) in Korea but small-sized (about 10 ares) in Japan in this period. As the result of farmland consolidation works, the unit water requirement was increased to 0.0035 m³/s/ha, and the unit area drainage discharge was over 2.0 m³/s/km² in many cases. The farmland consolidation with medium-sized plot have been spread under the colonial landlord system, where major landlords occupied a large share of farmland and managed corporate farming to gain more benefit. The reasons for spread of farmland consolidation with medium-sized plot may be as follows: high net profit ratio, an increase in land price, and labor savings in rice farming. The farmland consolidation with medium-sized plot in the colonial period showed intermediate features between the farm consolidation with small-sized plot for an increase in land productivity in Japan and the farm consolidation with medium-sized plot for an increase in labor productivity after the 1960s.

대부분의 통계분석방법은 요약통계량에 의존하지만 그래픽적 방법을 이용하면 자료의 특성을 파악하기 쉽고 통계량만으로는 알아낼 수 없는 부분까지도 접근이 가능하다. 그래프를 통한 로지스틱회귀모형의 평가 방법으로 로그-밀도비를 통한 검토, 차원 검토, 주변모형산점도, 카이잔차산점도, CERES 그림을 알아보고 모의자료들을 통해 다양한 상황에서 그래픽적 방법들 어떠한 결과를 나타내지를 비교 검토한다.
