초등학생의 안전의식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Consciousness of Elementary Students)

  • This study selected the fifth and sixth graders of elementary school in Jeollanamdo who can express their opinions of safety consciousness and understand the items of questionnaire as the population. It selected 10 elementary schools under the supervision of Jeonnam Board of Education and sampled 700 students randomly from 2-3 classes in the 5th and the 6th grade. One preliminary survey was conducted to revise and complement the contents and forms of questionnaire with 70 students of a school from Apr. 1 to 6, 2004 and this study was conducted from Apr. 10 to 30, 2004. Data of this study were collected by explaining the purport of study to subjects after obtaining approval of principal and teacher of the school and distributing questionnaires. Total 700 questionnaires were distributed and 681 were collected (97%) and 602 were used for final analysis except 79 lacking responses. The results of this study are as follows. According to demographical characteristics of subjects, 'male' students were 302(50.%) and 'female' students were 300(49.8%) by sex and 'the 5th graders' were 285(47.3%) and 'the 6th graders' were 317(52.7%) in grade distribution. Residents at 'apartment house' were 406(67.4%) in residence type, 'going to school by foot' was 477 students(79.2%), 'high school graduates' were 297(49.3%) in fathers' education, 'high school graduates' were 366 (60.8%) in mothers' education, 'professional and office workers' were 231(38.4%) in fathers' job, 'full-time workers' were 283(47.0%) in mothers' job, and the number of siblings was one except myself in 343 students(57.0%). Respondents on the level of class showing 'good' were 340(56.5%) and those on the degree of adaptation to school life showing 'active' were 349(58.0%). On the characteristics related to safety education, 360(59.8%) responded it was 'very necessary', on the frequency of safety education at school for last one year, 339(56.3%) responded they had 'once or twice', on the frequency of safety education by parents, 279(46.3%) responded they 'often' had it, on the level of safety practice by parents, 347(57.6%) responded they practiced it 'frequently', on the source of knowledge of safety, 223(37.0%) responded they got it from 'parents, siblings and relatives', on the degree of recognizing the need of safety education textbooks, 295(38.5%) responded 'it was needed', on the recognition of necessity of teacher for safety education, 271(45.0%) answered it was very necessary', and on the recognition of qualification of teacher for safety education, 370(61.5%) answered it was 'paramedic'. The mean score of safety consciousness of subjects was 2.72 (SD. 21) of full score 3, having high score over mean score. According to each area, the area showing the highest safety consciousness was safety of fire(2.83), followed by home safety(2.76) and first-aid treatment(2.76), traffic safety(2.71), play and leisure safety(2.66) and school safety(2.56). Items showing statistical differences in the degree of safety consciousness according to demographical characteristics were sex(t=-3.11, p=.002), education(t=2.33, p=.021) and number of siblings(F=3.729, p=.011). In the difference of safety consciousness between both sexes, 'female' students(2.75) showed higher safety consciousness than 'male' students (2.69), and the former also showed higher safety consciousness than the latter in all six areas of school safety, play and leisure safety, traffic safety, fire safety, home safety and first-aid treatment, and there were statistical differences in the areas of play and leisure safety, traffic safety, fire safety and first-aid treatment. According to the differences of safety consciousness by grade, 'the fifth graders'(2.74) showed higher safety consciousness than 'the sixth graders'(2.70) and the former also showed higher safety consciousness than the latter in all six areas of school safety, play and leisure safety, traffic safety, fire safety, home safety and first-aid treatment, and there were statistical differences in the areas of fire safety and home safety. In the safety consciousness by the number of siblings, 'single son or daughter' (2.78) was highest and their safety consciousness was also highest in all six areas of school safety, play and leisure safety, traffic safety, fire safety, home safety and first-aid treatment, and there were statistical differences in the areas of school safety, fire safety and home safety, There were statistically remarkable differences in degree of adaptation to school life (F=15.349, p=.000) and perceived schooling level(F=9.552, p=.000). According to the degree of safety consciousness related to characteristics of safety education, there were statistical differences at the degree of recognizing the need of safety education(F=9.797, p=.000), degree of safety education at school(F=2.595, p=.006), degree of safety education by parents(F=12.709, p=.000), degree of practicing safety by parents(F=17.579, p=.000), source of knowledge of safety education (F=2,715, p=.044), necessity of safety education textbooks(F=3.972, p=.008), need of safety teacher(F=4.137, p=.006) and qualification standard of safety teacher(F=3.016, p=.029).

팔당호 플랑크톤 군집의 탄소생물량 동태 (Carbon Dynamics of Plankton Communities in Paldang Reservoir)

  • 본 연구는 팔당호의 효과적인 호소관리를 위하여 미세 먹이망의 구조와 기능을 이해하고자 경안천(정점 K), 팔당댐 (정점 P)그리고 남 북한강 합류부(정점 M)에서 2005년 3월부터 12월까지 매월 1회씩 환경 요인과 미소 생물요인의 생물량을 조사하였다. 조사기간 동안 DOC는 $3{\sim}5$월 그리고 11월에 높은 값을 보였다. 영양염류는 다른 2개 정점보다 상대적으로 정점 K에서 높은 수치를 보였다. 인산염과 규산염은 여름철 집중강우기 이후에 3개 정점에서 점진적으로 증가하였으나, 9월 이후에는 감소하는 양상을 나타내었다. Chl-$\alpha$의 변화는 3개 정점에서 4월과 11월에 매우 높은 값을 보였다. 박테리아와 HNF의 탄소량은 3월, 5월 그리고 8월에 높은 값을 보였으나, 섬모충플랑크톤의 월별탄소량의 변화는 큰 변화를 보이지 않았다. 그럼에도 불구하고 섬모충플랑크톤(P<0.001)과 HNF(P<0.05)의 탄소량 변화는 박테리아 탄소량의 변화와 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 이 시기에는 Tintinnopsis cratera, Didinium sp., Vorticella sp., Paramecium sp. 그리고 Strombidium sp.가 우점종으로 밝혀졌다. 식물플랑크톤 우점종은 봄철, 여름철 그리고 가을철에 Stephanodiscus hantzschii와 Cyclotella meneghiniana가 3개 정점에서 모두 우점하였다. 그러나 가을철에는 정점 P와 정점 M에서 Aulacoseira granulata가 95%이상으로 극히 높게 우점하였다. 동물플랑크톤의 탄소량은 6월에 정점 P와 정점 M에서 가장 높은 생물량을 기록하였으며, 8월, 10월 그리고 11월에도 3개 정점에서 상대적으로 높은 생물량이 관찰되었다. 동물플랑크톤은 6월에 정점 P와 정점 M에서 Diaphanosoma brachyurum이 제1우점종으로 밝혀졌으며, 가을철인 10월과 11월에는 3개 정점에서 Bosmina longirostris가 우점하였다. Bosmina longirostris는 Aulacoseira granulata와 Stephanodiscus hantzschii를 먹이로 공급하였을 때 높은 성장률(A. granulata: $0.17\;d^{-1}$, S. hantzschii: $0.14^{-1}\;d^{-1}$)과 섭식률 (A. granulata: 1.93 preys $d^{-1}$, S. hantzschii: 1.63 preys $d^{-1}$)을 보였다. 이상의 결과로, 박테리아와 식물플랑크톤은 주요 먹이원으로서, 봄철과 여름철은 bacteria를 먹이로 하는 microbial food chain이 주요기능으로, 가을철에는 식물플랑크톤을 먹이로 하는 grazing food chain이 중요한 기능을 갖는 것으로 시사한다.

북극 스발바드섬 Kongsfjorden의 해양 환경 및 식물플랑크톤 모니터링 연구 (Monitoring on the Marine Environment and Phytoplankton of Kongsfjorden, Svalbard, Arctic)

  • Kongsfjorden near Korean Arctic Station, Dasan, is a glacial fjord in the Svalbard archipelago, Arctic that is influenced by both Atlantic and Arctic water masses. During the Arctic field season August 2002, surface temperature, salinity, density, and phytoplankton biomass (chi a) was measured in Kongsfjorden. A total of 15 surface samples were collected for the phytoplankton related measurements. Chl a values ranged from 0.08 to 1.4mg chi a $m^{-3}$ (mean of 0.53mg chl a $m^{-3}$) in the overall surface stations. The highest values of the chi a concentrations (> 1.0mg chi a $m^{-3}$) were found near glacier in the northeastern part of Kongsfjorden. Nanoplanktonic (< $20{\mu}m$) phytoflagellates were important contributors for the increase of the chi a. The nano-sized phytoflagellates accounted for more than 90% of the total chi a biomass in the study area. Surface temperatures and salinities ranged from 2.5 to $7.18^{\circ}C$ (mean of $4.65^{\circ}C$) and from 22.55 to 32.97 psu (mean of 30.16 psu), respectively. The physical factors were not highly correlated with phytoplankton distribution. The character of surface water due to down-fjord wind was highly similar to phytoplankton distribution. Drifting ice, freshwater, and semdiment inputs from large tidal glaciers located in the inner part of Konsfjorden create steep physico- and biogeochemical environmental gradients along the length of this ford. The glacial inputs cause reduced biodiversity biomass and productivity in the pelagic community in the inner fjord. Primary production of benthic and pelagic microalgae is reduced due to the limited light levels in the turbid and mixed inner waters. The magnitude of glacial effects diminishes towards the outer fjord. Kongsfjorden is an important feeding ground fer marine mammals and seabirds. Especially, seabirds play the largest energy intake and also export nutrients for primary production of the marine microalgae. Kongsfjorden has received a lot of research attention as a site for exploring the impacts of climate changes. Dasan Station in Kongsfjorden will be an important Arctic site for monitoring and detecting future environmental changes.

마산만에서 관찰된 불연속층과 플랑크톤 군집구조와의 관계 (Influence of Discontinuous Layer on Plankton Community Structure and Distribution in Masan Bay, Korea)

  • 1989년 10월, 진해만에서 수괴의 물리화학적 요인과 관련된 플랑크톤의 미세분포와 군집구조를 micro-scale 관측을 통하여 분석하였다. 부도수도 내측에는 비교적 온난, 저염의 성층화된 수괴(stratified waters)가 존재하였으며, 풍부한 클로로필양과 영양염류가 관찰되었다. 식물플랑크톤의 생물량과 영양염류는 부도수도의 내측과 외측에서 현저한 변화를 보였다 외만성 혹은 해양성의 식물플랑크톤(Chaetoceros decipiens, Rhizosolenia stolterforthii, Rhizosolenia styliformis, and Ceratium trichoceros)과 동물플랑크톤(Sagitta enflata, Oncaea venusta and Oikopluera longicaudata)은 부도수도 외측의 혼합된 수괴(mixed water)에서만 관찰되었다. 이는 부도수도해역의 정점 3과 4사이에서 염분과 영양염류의 구배에 따른 불연속층(discontinuous layer)이 존재하고 있음을 암시하며, 이 불연속층이 플랑크톤 군집분포에 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 생각된다. 부도수도 내측에서는 클로로필양이 $80{\mu}g/l$ 이상인 식물플랑크톤 Patchs가 관찰되었다. 이와 같은 식물플랑크톤 bloom시, 높은 동화율에 의한 silicate 고갈은 이 지역에서의 식물플랑크톤 bloom 소멸의 원인으로 추정된다.

도시철도 철도안전사상사고 대응체계현황 분석을 통한 개선방향 도출 (Improvement Directions through the Analysis of the Current States of Response Systems against Railway Casualties and Accidents of Urban Railways)

  • 본 논문에서는 철도안전과 관련된 규정들을 검토하고 역 근무자 인터뷰, 8개의 도시철도 운영기관(서울도시시철도공사, 서울메트로, 인천교통고사 등)의 현재 실시하고 있는 예방대책 현황조사를 통하여 사고감소를 위한 적극적인 예방대책 수행에 어려움을 미치는 근본원인을 관련 규정의 미흡, 조직문화와 근무환경, 소극적인 운영기관의 예방대책으로 도출하고 이를 통하여 3가지 개선방향을 도출하였다. 우선 도시철도 철도안전사상사고 행동 규정 제작을 제안하였으며, 대학생 안전도우미 활용 및 운영기관 고위 관리자의 안전 교육 등 조직문화와 근무환경 개선을 위한 방향을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 적극적인 사고예방캠페인, 이용객의 교육 참여를 높일 수 있는 방향을 제시하였다. 이러한 사고감소를 위한 개선방향은 향후 운영기관의 예방대책 수립시 가이드라인의 역할을 담당할 것이라 사료된다.

Proteomic Analysis of Differentially Expressed Proteins in Bovine Endometrium with Endometritis

  • Endometritis is one of the primary reasons for reproductive failure. In order to investigate endometritis-associated marker proteins, proteomic analysis was performed on bovine endometrium with endometritis. In bovine endometritis, desmin, $\alpha$-actin-2, heat-shock protein (HSP) 27, peroxiredoxin-6, luteinizing hormone receptor isoform 1, collectin-43 precursor, deoxyribonuclease-I (DNase-I), and MHC class I heavy chain (MHC-Ih) were up-regulated. In contrast, transferrin, interleukin-2 precursor, hemoglobin $\beta$ subunit, and potassium channel tetramerisation domaincontaining 11 (KCTD11) were down-regulated in comparison to normal endometrium. The proteomic results were validated by semiquantitative-PCR and immunoblot analysis. The mRNA levels of desmin, transferrin, $\alpha$-actin-2, HSP27, KCTD11, and MHC-Ih were up-regulated by over 1.5-fold, and showed a pattern similar to their proteomic profiles. Desmin and $\alpha$-actin-2 protein showed positive correlations between proteomic analysis and immunoblot analysis. These results suggest that desmin and $\alpha$-actin-2 may play important roles in endometritis-related function, and could be useful markers for the diagnosis of bovine endometritis.

Development of Ground-Based Search-Coil Magnetometer for Near-Earth Space Research

  • We report on development of a ground-based bi-axial Search-Coil Magnetometer (SCM) designed to measure time-varying magnetic fields associated with magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling processes. The instrument provides two-axis magnetic field wave vector data in the Ultra Low Frequency or ULF (1 mHz to 5 Hz) range. ULF waves are well known to play an important role in energy transport and loss in geospace. The SCM will primarily be used to observe generation and propagation of the subclass of ULF waves. The analog signals produced by the search-coil magnetic sensors are amplified and filtered over a specified frequency range via electronics. Data acquisition system digitizes data at 10 samples/s rate with 16-bit resolution. Test results show that the resolution of the magnetometer reaches $0.1pT/{\sqrt{Hz}}$ at 1 Hz, and demonstrate its satisfactory performance, detecting geomagnetic pulsations. This instrument is scheduled to be installed at the Korean Antarctic station, Jang Bogo, in the austral summer 2016-2017.

임대주택 거주 남성 독거노인의 홀로 사는 삶의 의미와 본질에 관한 현상학적 연구 (A Phenomenological Study on the Meaning and Essence of the Experience of Elderly Men Living Alone in Public Rental Housing)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 임대주택에 거주하는 남성 독거노인의 홀로 살아가는 삶의 의미와 본질을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구방법은 현상학적 연구 방법 중 Giorgi(2009)가 제안한 분석방법을 활용하였다. 연구 참여자는 임대주택에 거주하고 있는 남성 독거노인 10명을 네크워크표집방법을 활용해 선정하였다. 연구자료는 1인 당 2회씩의 심층면담을 통해 수집하였다. 연구결과, 남성 독거노인으로 살아가는 것은 세상이라는 광야에 홀로 서서 찬바람을 맞는 것과 같았으며, 외롭고 적적한 생을 살아가는 과정은 삶과 죽음 사이의 끊임없는 힘겨루기와 같았다. 그들에게 있어 임대주택은 세상과 단절시켜 자신을 가두어 놓는 철책이자 떠돌이 생활의 종착지였다. 임대주택은 세인들에게는 안정적 울타리지만 참여자들에게는 광야에 홀로 선 심정으로 생존에 의한 본능과 죽음의 본능이 줄다리기하는 양면적 삶을 살아내는 곳이었다. 연구자는 연구결과에 근거하여 심리적 주거안정, 대중 매체 속 노인폄하, 심리적 고립 해소방안에 관한 논의와 그에 따른 제언을 했다.

시장수요예측 모델을 활용한 서울시 수소차 충전시설의 입지선정 우선순위에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Priority of Site Selection for Hydrogen Vehicle Charging Facilities in Seoul Using a Market Demand Prediction Model)

  • Hydrogen is expected to be widely applied in most sectors within the current energy system, such as transportation and logistics, and is expected to be economically and technologically utilized as a power source to achieve vehiclebon emission reduction. In particular, the construction of hydrogen charging station infrastructure will not only support the distribution of hydrogen electric vehicles, but also play an important role in building a hydrogen logistics system. Therefore, This paper suggest additional charging infrastructure areas in Seoul with a focus on supply according to the annual average growth rate (CAGR), centering on Seoul, where hydrogen vehicles are most widely distributed. As of February 2022, hydrogen charging infrastructures were installed in Gangseo-gu, Gangdong-gu, Mapo-gu, Jung-gu, and Seocho-gu in downtown Seoul. Next, looking at the number of hydrogen vehicles by administrative dong in Seoul from 2018 to 2022, Seocho-gu has the most with 246 as of 2022, and Dongjak-gu has the highest average growth rate of 215.4% with a CAGR of 215.4%. Therefore, as a result of CAGR analysis, Dongjak-gu is expected to supply the most hydrogen vehicles in the future, and Seocho-gu currently has the most hydrogen vehicles, so it is likely that additional hydrogen charging infrastructure will be needed between Dongjak-gu and Seocho-gu.

수소충전소 내 연료전지용 수소연료 품질 관리 및 표준화 동향 (Current Status of Standardization for Quality Control of Hydrogen Fuel in Hydrogen Refueling Stations for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles)

  • Hydrogen is promising a candidate for energy supporting the carbon neutrality policy for greenhouse gas reduction, which is being promoted in several countries, including Korea. Although challenging efforts-such as lowering the costs of green hydrogen production and fuel cells-remain, hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) are expected to play a significant role in the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. In line with this objective, the hydrogen FCEV working group in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compiled and revised international standards related to hydrogen refueling stations as of 2019. A well-established hydrogen quality management system based on the standard documents will increase the reliability of hydrogen charging stations and accelerate the use of FCEVs. In this study, among the published ISO standards and other references, the main requirements for managing charging stations and developing related techniques were summarized and explained. To respond preemptively to the growing FCEV market, a continuous hydrogen quality monitoring method suitable for use at hydrogen charging stations was proposed.
