실동하중에 의한 강판형철도교의 응력빈도해석 (Stress Histogram Analysis of Steel Plate Girder Railway Bridge due to Service Load Histories)

  • Despite the number of steel bridges being under in service more than 50 years reaches about 50$\%$ in present, the quantitative estimation in maintenance on steel railway bridges is not possible because a ton of the field data in the bridges have not been plentifully accumulated. Therefore, a series of field tests on the steel plate girder bridge, the typical types of steel railway bridges, are executed, and the stress characteristics of main members in steel plate girder railway bridges are quantitatively estimated in this study.

변단면 하로판형교의 계획 및 설계 (The Plan & Design for Through Plate Girder Bridge of Variable Section)

  • Recently, the railroad route plan is trying to minimize the damage of the local resident which is caused by railroad construction. For this reason, reducing the banking height of soil roadbed, lowering the bridge girder height of a solid intersection and a part of cross river, the through bridge type which can achieve a required span length must apply. The representative through bridges of railroad are arch bridges, truss bridges and plate girder bridges, the through plate girder bridge of variable section can apply that the span length of these bridges is about $30{\sim}50m$, namely, middle span length bridge types, and that can satisfy structural capacity and beauty of railroad at the same time. This paper introduces plan and design process of the Su-eo cheon bridge applied by a through plate girder bridge type of the Jinju-Gwangyang double track 6th construction ordered at Korea Rail network Authority in 2005.

이동하중을 받는 판형교의 동적 거동에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Dynamic Responses of Plate-Girder Bridges under Moving Loads)

  • 본 연구는 실험적인 방법으로 이동하중을 받는 판형교의 동적 응답을 연구하였다. 판형교의 상부 슬래브는 판요소로, 거더는 보요소로 이상화였다. 이동하중과 판형교는 각각 소규모 차량모델과 교량모델로 제작하였다. 이동 하중을 받는 판형교의 동적 응답은 변형계, 변위계, 가속도계 및 변형도 측정기를 이용하여 측정하였고 측정한 자료로부터 얻은 최대동적응답을 유한요소법의 결과와 비교하였다. 실험적인 모형실험으로 판형교의 동적응답을 얻을 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

  • KTX is going to directly operate on the existing plate girder bridges before the complete construction of new high-speed line. Also the speed and traffic volume is increased after electrification of conventional line. Then, it is necessary to check the dynamic behaviors of these bridges. Therefore, this paper reviews the dynamic behaviors of welded plate girder bridges designed by L-22, a standard load type of KNR. The span lengths of plate girder analyzed here are 6.6m, 9.7m, 12.9m, 16.0m, 19.2m, 22.3m, 25.4m and 31.1m. Using 2-D dynamic analysis, vertical deflection ratios of plate girder and maximum accelerations of car body are calculated. And the analytical results are compared with those of design criteria.

  • After the development of practical technology for tilting system, tilting trains are operated on conventional lines of KORAIL. As the running speed of trains is increased, it is very important to investigate the dynamic characteristics of plate girder bridges with direct track fixation. Therefore, this paper reviews the dynamic interactions between tilting train and welded plate girder bridges designed by L-22, a standard load type of KORAIL. The span lengths of plate girder analyzed here are 6.6m, 9.7m, 12.9m, 16.0m, 19.2m, 22.3m, 25.4m and 31.1m. Using 2-D dynamic analysis, the critical velocity of tilting train, vertical deflection ratios of plate girder and maximum accelerations of car body are calculated. And the analytical results are compared with those of design criteria.

  • From the using CWR (Continuously Welded Rail) on steel plate girder bridges without ballast, axial forces are occurred from a temperature on CWR and girders. Because of the additional axial forces, studies in order to CWR and developments of devices are proceeding. The track system of steel plate girder bridges is poor. When CWR is used for the system, the resistance on sleepers is increased from a temperature. So it is increasing an effect on CWR and, for solving the effect, longitudinal forces for buckle are being decreased. It is possible that opposite cases can be happened and it is also compared and studied. Therefore, we present a reasonable model for analyzing CWR within the property of steel plate girder railway bridges in Korea. Furthermore, the results analyzed for stability is compared and evaluated with tests. Finally, a reasonable method for the installation of CWR on bridges without ballast is suggested.

판형교의 고유진동수 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Natural Frequencies of Railway Plate Girder Bridges)

  • Natural frequencies are studied for dynamic analysis of plate girder bridges which are made up about 34% in the existing railway bridges in Korea. In this study, standard plate girder bridges designed by L-22, a standard load type of the railway specification in Korea, are modeled for finite element method analysis. SAP2000n, a commercial finite element method analysis tool, is used for structural analyses and evaluations. Span lengths of Plate girders have 7 types : 6m, 9m, 12m, 15m, 22m, 24m, and 30m. Natural frequencies are considered in mass rations and span lengths and they are compared with a recommendation of UIC 776-1R for alterations, from now on, in train conditions of operation. For changes of natural frequencies in plate girders by damages of structures, Parameter studies are accomplished.

  • Steel -Concrete Composite two girder railway bridges applying high performance steel with extra thick plate have economic and aesthetic advantages due to the simplification of manufacturing and construction process. However, steel bridges are seldom adopted in domestic railway bridge, since steel bridges are not efficient as R.C bridges considering dynamic characteristics and noise, etc. While highway bridges do not have lower horizontal bracing and larger interval of diaphragm cross beam, railway bridges install lower horizontal bracings to control the torsion due to heavy eccentrical line load. Accurate finite element analysis were performed with the parameters of existence of bracing and bracing shape, with the cross beam interval and stiffness, etc. To find out the effects of secondary members such as horizontal bracings and diaphragms, static md dynamic analysis have been performed by using finite element method. In this study, few member plate-girder bridges are analyzed with variable span lengths to examine the dynamic behavior and limits of damping. And though lateral bracings are members against torsion, but lateral bracing's absence is no big problem. Time history analysis using mode superposition method makes proof of this result.

비합성형 판형사교의 모형화 (Modeling of Noncomposite Skew Plate Girder Bridges)

  • The design of noncomposite construction for skew bridges with large skew angels has been often checked because composite construction may cause large stresses in the bridge deck. In this study, the analytical model considered dynamic behaviors for noncomposite skew bridges was proposed. Using the proposed analytical model, the effects of interactions between the concrete deck and steel girders such as composite construction, and noncomposite construction on the dynamic characteristics of simply supported skew bridges were investigated. A series of parametric studies for the total 27 skew bridges was conducted with respect to parameters such as girder spacing, skew angle, and deck aspect ratio. The slip at the interfaces between the concrete deck and steel girders may bring about longer vibration periods that result in the reduced total seismic base shear.

  • 본 연구에서는 교량의 노면조도 및 교량과 차량 사이의 상호작용을 고려한 수치해석방법을 사용하여 도로교설계기준에 규정된 표준트럭 하중인 KL-510에 의한 강판형교의 동적응답을 연구하였다. 대상교량은 건설부에서 제정한 "도로교 상부구조 표준도"에 수록되어 있는 지간이 20m, 30m와 40m인 단순 강판형교를 사용하고. "보통의 도로"에 대하여 생성시킨 10개의 노면조도를 사용하였다. 차량은 5축 트랙터-트레일러인 표준트럭하중 KL-510을 3차원 차량으로 모델링하고, 교량은 주형을 보요소로, 콘크리트 바닥판은 쉘요소로, 주형과 콘크리트 바닥판 사이는 Rigid Link를 사용하여 3차원으로 모델링하였다. 이와 같은 노면조도 및 차량을 사용하여 강판형교의 충격계수와 DLA를 구하고 각국의 설계기준과 비교 검토하였다.
