환경설계교육에 있어 조형예술 프로그램의 필요성에 관한 연구 - 한국과 프랑스의 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Necessity of the Implementation of "Plastic Arts" in Environmental Design Studio Programs -Focused on the cases of France and Korea-)

  • Creative spatial production in Environmental design relies, in large part, on the artistic talent of the designer(s) that is applied to the design solutions or schematic plans. This study proposes the importance and necessity of the use of 'Plastic Arts" or the technique of artistic manipulation and definition of space in Environmental Design studio programs. This fundamental design approach is currently lacking in Korean design studio programs. Moreover, the current trend of interdisciplinary design (that is, between landscape architecture, architecture, urban and environmental planning) emphasizes the importance of such techniques. "plastic Arts" techniques can serve as a basic code of communication between design disciplines and can in itself be a common approach. The method of this study is based on the empirical datas, that is, the educational performances which are executed in Landscape studio programs of some Korean Universities. The results are summarized as follows; 1. The program, "Plastic Arts" Should be included in the basic organization of Landscape design studio programs. 2. Unlike France where "Plastic Arts" program is implemented through out Landscape Architecture programs in Korea, "Plastic Arts" should be intensified and continued for longer period of time for students in the initial years. 3. In creation of "Plastic Arts" programs for Korean Landscape Design studios, the traditional and contemporary values of aesthetic of the Nature should be taken in consideration. 4. In order to confirm the necessity of "Plastic arts" program in the organization of landscape curriculum, more studies should be done, with empirical datas.pe curriculum, more studies should be done, with empirical datas.

  • The change of society causes the change of art necessarily. The experiments of plastic art which as been done by avant-garde movements at early 20th century have pursued ″Object drama″ consistently as trials of more or less abstract drama. As these plastic arts have used genre or media like circuses, sports, variate, films, screen play, newspapers and a quick method which had not been considered suitable for conventional aesthetic plastic arts, these arts looked provocative and, these provocative plastic arts have ignored universality shown in conventional arts and have caused extreme ″sensation″ accordingly. As a result, abstract art based on style which is against aestheticism and naturalism has been generalized. This style does not deny customary laws of art wholly but it requires new concept. Having ignored traditional styles, a new compositive and responsive way of composition which does not deviate from tradition has been pursued. A new and general understanding of arts which do not deny all conventionally-effective standards extremely has been developed. In this regard, this study analyzes characteristics of Bauhaus Theater which has tried to apply new technology engineering to plastic art as an integrated concept of art and technology amongst the directions of development of provocation, innovation and revolution in case of the plastic art of stage painting, and analyzes how this influences on modern painting in terms of avant-garde arts reviewing the meaning of this theory.

  • The plastic arts, which has substantially been regarded as a part of aesthetic activities originated in the artistic forms reflects interrelated aspects of the times. With this viewpoint, this article will attempt to trace the historical background and characteristics of the plastic arts in the 17th of Europe, and will observe its artis artistic qualities and aesthetic appearances shown in the Baroque architecture, industrial arts and costumes. 꽃의 형태미를 응용한 의상디자인 연구 - 난(Orchid) 모티프를 중심으로 - (The Study of Costume Design Applying the Shape Beauty of Flower - Concentrating on the Orchid Motif -)

  • The purpose of this study lies in pursuing the unique plastic arts with the orchid motif which has the graceful colors and a variety of shapes beauty. Another aspect of this study intends to crease the modern costume design with the high added value by expressing the texture according to the material and tissue development for the continual improvement and promotion of the modern costume design in the handicraft art area. The results through the theoretical survey and the work production are as follows : First, the orchid which has the various shapes and colors provides the designers with the unique plastic arts and the possibilities for the unlimited expressions as the design motives. Second, we can see the creation of cubic plastic beauty in the moving line, as the material which has the flexible and brilliant shape fixation, used for expressing the shape beauty of the orchid. Third, this study reveals the extension of expression areas as a characteristic of the plastic arcs by applying handicraft techniques such as dyeing, corded tuck, flounce, crochet, weaving, beads embroidery, and art flower to the costumes for developing the unique material and texture. Finally, the possibility is suggested that the desires of the moderns searching for their own individualities can be met by creating the costumes with the added vague as the exposure of esthetic consciousness through the handicraft expression techniques.

유가증권 인쇄용 감광성 수지 볼록판의 내마모성 및 화선 재현에 관한 연구 (The Study of Resistant Abrasion and Image Reproduction of the Photosensitive Plastic Convex Printing Plate for Securities Printing)

  • The convex printing plate in particular securities is classified three physical properties. The main ingredient(component)of photosensitive plastic is composed of thermosetting polyamide. After being hardened specimen at $80^{\circ}C$ is shown to resist highly, the Glass Transition Temperatures of photosensitive plastic are $85^{\circ}C$. When hardened plate has reached at $80^{\circ}C$, abrasion loss is minimized. the cause is considered it is more effective in hardening when the temperature of photosensitive plastic is $80^{\circ}C$-the vitrification temperature of those. The hardness and the durability of the convex printing plate in particular securities are affected to the hardening treatment temperature. And the resolution of original drawing has being better when the durability is superior.

  • 본 연구는 현재 초기 단계에 있는 디자인계열의 비실기 전형 학생들의 작업과 교육과정, 학생들의 작업추이들을 구체적으로 연구ㆍ분석함으로써 실기 능력 유무에 따른 입학 전형에서 나타나는 다양한 사례들을 살펴보고 새로운 조형교육의 방향성 및 제언을 제시하고자 한다. 실기 및 비실기 전형의 학생들을 동시에 하나의 교육과정에서 운영하는 과정에서 디자인계열 대학의 입시전형에서 각 대학, 학과마다 길기 및 비실기 전형을 보다 탄력적으로 운영할 수 있는 입시제도를 마련하여야 한다. 거의 모든 대학이 같은 비율로 입시전형 하는 획일화된 실기 및 비실기 전형의 문제를 개선하여 대학 자체의 특수성을 고려한 다양한 선발기준에 의한 대학교육 적격자를 선발하는 방안이 절실히 요구된다. 본 연구는 학생들의 실기 능력 유무에 따른 학습의 효율성을 위한 것으로 일선에서 교육을 담당하는 교수들의 새로운 교육지표 및 디자인 교육기반을 형성하는데 많은 도움이 되리라 예상된다. 연구 조사 결과를 토대로 효과적인 기초 조형교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 예술교육에 적절한 적용과 연구의 가능성을 발견함과 동시에 대학의 디자인 실기교육에 적용시킬 교육과정 및 방법을 모색하여 제시하는 데 연구의 목적을 두고 있다.

Frank Stella 작품 영역의 발전과정 - 회화에서 부조, 환경조형물 표현에 이르기까지 - (The Impact of Frank Stella's Work on Landscape Architecture)

  • The research purpose of this study, together with the study of Frank Stella's work and his expansion of the formative arts field, is to rediscover "Amabel" and to present a fresh perspective in evaluating and assessing environmental art objects. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. The study investigated the effect how Frank Stella's work affected American modem art trends. 2. The study helped to re-evaluate Stella's work by examining its expansion into the plastic arts. 3. The study analysed the plastic works of Prank Stella and his effect on plastic arts within the modem art trend of America. In conclusion, Frank Stella played a leading role in today's American art style and had a potent influence on the trends of America's modem U. In recent years, his work has had an impacted on the design of parks and art galleries. America's industrial society is led by the growth of economic power and the development of science and technology. In America's architecture and landscape architecture, such new forms as minimalism functionalism, cubism and abstract expressionism, which have been influenced by art movements, emerged in California and the east coast. Influences of Stella such as these are the remedy for a vested stubborn concept of architecture and landscape architecture by introducing a sense of pictorial space in these fields. In landscape architecture, the introduction of art trends appears in several ways. Mainly the trend of Minimalist Art, influenced by Modernism, can be seen in much Landscape Architecture. Frank Stella contributed to the development of such minimalist art.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out organizing strategy of de-composition works in modern plastic arts. Through investigating the development process of De Stijl painters and Rietveld's early works and analyzing the composition and disposition type of elements such as point, line, plane, color in the selected works, we can draw some conclusions. First, Rietveld pursues the dissolution of traditional volume and the de-composition of elements as Mondrian does through crossing-connection of three listels with quadrangular section. Second, Rietveld reorganized de-composition elements with detached lines and color planes. Third, Rietveld experimented possibility of new plastic space through displacing elements, opening space, making anti-gravity space.

  • 동양전래의 음양사상(陰陽思想)은 예술의 모든 장르에서 발견할 수 있다. 그 가운데 디자인과 조형예술의 영역에서 본 음양사상(陰陽思想)은 우리의 관심을 크게 끌고 있으며 이의 발전적 연구와 응용은 디자인과 조형예술활동의 내용과 질을 더욱 풍부하게 해줄 것이다. 세계는 자기만의 독특한 사상이나 철학, 혹은 남과 차별화 된 내용으로 새로운 관심을 끌지 못하면 지금 너무 일반화되어있고 상식화되어있는 문화의 카테고리에서 벗어날 수가 없다. 또 문화의 중심에 서지 못하고 그 변두리에 서서 선진국 문화를 흉내내거나 그것을 추종만 하는 모습으로 전락할 수밖에 없다. 독자적, 창조적 문화인자(文化因子)를 찾아내어 이것을 더욱 높은 차원으로 개발할 때 우리의 문화적 자존심은 살아난다. 이런 의미에서 동양적 사고에 의존한 조형의 음양사상(陰陽思想)에 대한 연구는 아무리 강조하여도 지나치지 않을 것이다. 특히 조형예술분야에서의 음양사상의 연구는 단순한 조형예술분야의 영역을 넘어 인간의 삶에 필요한 모든 생활과 철학에 활기를 줄 것으로 기대된다.
