석탄 바닥재의 물리적 성질에 따른 유황 고형화 성형물의 특성 (Characteristics of Sulfur-Solidified Materials by the Physical Properties of Coal Bottom Ash)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 4개 화력발전소에서 발생되는 석탄 바닥재를 이용하여 유황 고형화 성형물을 제작하였으며, 이를 이용하여 산업용 건자재 제조를 위한 실용적 데이터에 대하여 고찰하였다. 이러한 유황 고형화 성형물 제조를 위하여, 일축 스크류 형태의 연속식 혼합기를 사용하였다. 또한, 혼합기의 운전 특성으로 인하여, 1.2 mm 이하의 잔골재로서 석탄 바닥재가 사용되었다. 15, 20, 25, 30 wt%의 다양한 유황 농도의 성형물을 제조되었을 때, 압축강도 특성이 분석 되었다. 그리고 높은 생석회 함량의 석탄 바닥재가 사용되었을 때, 시제품에서 균열이 발생하였고 침투액의 pH가 12 이상을 나타내었다. 이러한 실험 결과들은 석탄 바닥재의 재활용 기술에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

동(銅) 광독지토양(鑛毒地土壤) 개량(改良)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Study on the improvement of Copper polluted soil)

  • 동(銅) 광독지(鑛毒地) 토양(土壤)을 개량(改良)하기 위(爲)하여 석회(石灰) 및 규산물질(珪酸物質)을 처리(處理)하여 pot 시험(試驗)한 결과(結果) 1. 석회물질(石灰物質)의 처리(處理)는 오히려 수량(收量)이 감소(減少)하였으나 규산물질(珪酸物質)은 1~14.2%의 증수효과(增收效果)를 보였다. 2. 석회물질(石灰物質)의 처리(處理)는 수도체내(水稻體內) 동함량(銅含量) 및 토양중가용성(土壤中可溶性) 동함량(銅含量)이 증가(增加)하였으나 규산물질(珪酸物質)의 처리(處理)는 감소(減少)하였다. 3. 석회물질(石灰物質)의 처리(處理)에 따른 토양(土壤) pH의 변화(變化)는 1.3~1.65 증가(增加)하였으나 규산물질(珪酸物質)의 처리(處理)에 따라서는 다소(多少) 증가(增加)하는 경향(傾向)은 있었으나 별차(別差)없었다. 4. 토양(土壤) pH에 따른 정조수량(精租收量) 및 토양중(土壤中) 가용성동함량(可溶性銅含量) pH 5.4에서 최고(最高)의 수량(收量)을 보였으며 가용성(可溶性) 동(銅) 함량(含量)은 pH 5.4에서 제일(第一) 낮었으며 그 이상(以上)에서는 점차(漸次) 증가(增加)하였다.

영광 원자력 발전소 주변 환경 방사능 측정에 관한 연구 (The study on Measuring of Environmental Radioactivity in the Vicinity of Yonggwang Nuclear Power Plant)

  • In order to protect inhabitans' health and to collect data for prediction of the effcts from accidental emission of rasioactive materials from nuclear power plant, exposed dose rate be monitored within the limit dose rate. This research was carried out to investigate the accumulation of environmental radioactivity around Younggwang Nuclear Power Plant, and to infer and in infer and assay the additional exposed dose rate of inhabitants in Younggwang site from the operation of nuclear plant operation. External radiation dose rate, radiation environmental samples, and exposed dose rate of inhabitants in Younggwang site were investigated for estimaing environment activity in the vicinity of the nuclear power plant area. For the external radiation dose rate, the result showed that range of normal variation was found and any artificial radioisotope was not deteted in the analysis of environmental samples. Exposed dose rate of inhabitants was lower than 0.4% of the limit value of ICRP and it may be concluded that there was no effect on inhabitants and environment from the operation of nuclear power plant.

보령화력발전소 홍보관 계획 (Boryeong Fire Plant Museum Project)

  • This project has been designed for people to experience and understand the process, importance and benefit of coal fire plants. As the biggest and first typical Korean fire plant using coal, Boryeong fire plant has had important roll for the Korean industries. Even so, people has had wrong prejudice for the fire plant in terms of environmental protection. To do these kind of rolls, this museum has been designed with theme, "Boryeong fire plant mating symbiotic relationship between nature, human and technologies." The space was zoned with five major themes: i. circulation of energy in nature, ii. electric power and eco-fire plant, iii. future energy, iv roll for future of environment, v. Korea as the leading energy industry. The design has been developed focused on spatial experiences to make 'Design Sequence' with linear circulations haying several important destinations. The interior has been finished with minimal color and materials projected by big sized movie and various LED movie system. Concept of appordance has been used to make interactive experiences between exhibits and visitors.

Bowlesia incana Ruiz & Pav. (Apiaceae), a New Invasive Alien Plant in Korea

  • Bowlesia incana Ruiz & Pav., a new invasive alien plant in Korea, was found in Ulju-gun, Ulsan Metropolitan City. This species is characterized as being similar to the genera Hydrocotyle Tourn. ex L. and Centella L. However, it differs morphologically from these two genera in leaves, flowers, and fruits, as well as stellate pubescence growing on the whole plant. In Korea, Bowlesia incana Ruiz & Pav. is recorded for the first time in this study. A morphological description, distribution map, and illustrations based on the Korean materials collected are presented.

  • In this paper, environmental noise analysis was performed for large power plant and desalination plant. Ray tracing method was used to predict inside noise of turbine building. It is important to design the plant with the allowable noise level. To improve the accuracy, main noise sources were estimated based on the field data. As the results of analysis, it was concluded that noise levels slightly exceed the specified noise limit in turbine building inside. In order to reduce the noise level, adding sound-absorbing materials to inside wall of turbine building was suggested and verified with the confirmed analysis model.

유기질계 토양개량재를 이용한 절토비탈면 녹화공법 적용시험 연구 (A Study on Application Test of Cut-slope Revegetation Measures with Organic Soil Amendment Materials)

  • This study was conducted to suggest the ecological restoration methods of the decomposed granite cut-slope by organic soil amendment materials. Field test carried out for the cut-slope with organic soil amendment materials method and other three revegetation methods in Cheongwon. Test revegetation plants were Festuca arundinacea, Lolium perenne, Dactylis glomerata, Lespedeza cyrtobotrya, and Arundinella hirta. The result of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. The soil hardness, the soil acidity, and the soil humidity of organic soil amendment materials method were at a suitable value for plants growth. And it was better as compared with other three revegetation methods of cutting-rock slopes. 2. The result of toxic substance investigation, all items were at a suitable for standard law. 3. During one year after seeding, most plants germinated and especially Festuca arundinacea and Dactylis glomerata grows well. Seedling numbers were 336.7 per $m^2$(after 6 months), 183.3 per $m^2$(after 10 months), and 353.3 per $m^2$(after 6 months). Ten months later after seeding, plants showed 80% ground coverage. Visual rate, plant height, and growth rate were excellence, Also, high plant growth in spring better than autumn.
