At the large commercial facilities, people try to grasp a customer's needs as the marketing strategies for effective management and maximization of profits as well as the primary purpose for functional and effective spatial plan. In planning the interior of each department, they try to provide the image of the interior environment corresponding to customer's emotional needs. And this kind of efforts also have been improved as visual merchandising strategies based on the transmission of visual information. This study is to examine the correlation among customer's behavior, circulation and VMD by gasping their shopping patterns at the department stores based on the spatial and emotional approach to form an environmental image of each department. The researcher focused on time, speed and rate of shopping that show customer's behavioristic characteristics and examine the factors to have an influence on decision making. With the result, this study proposes the primary data and evidence for MD planning, circulation planning and VMD planning of each department.

The purpose of this study is to provide a basic study for a desirable bathroom planning of the 30s pyung apartments. This study explores the change of the bathroom planning and analyzes the bathroom plans of the existing apartments. The data are 927 case of the bathroom plans of the 30s pyung apartments constructed in Seoul and the new town between 1971-2003. Where 145,807 households live. In this study, a trend of the bathroom form, numble in the 30s pyung apartments are examined. For the better planning of the bathroom. factors like family size. life cycle, and manner of bathroom use should be analyzed in the future studies. The analysis of the dweller's consciousness, satisfaction, and the demands on the bathroom in 30s pyung apartments, and to give useful information on bathroom planning of 30s pyung apartments.

Recently, spatial information technologies using remotely sensed imagery and functionality of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) have been widely utilized to various types of transportation-related applications. In this study, extraction programs of some practical indices, to be effectively used in transportation reference planning problem, were designed and implemented as prototyped extensions in GIS development environment: traffic flow estimation (TFL/TFB), urban rural index (URI), and accessibility index (AI). In TFL/TFB, user can obtain quantitative results on traffic flow estimation at link/block using high-resolution satellite imagery. Whereas, URI extension provides urban-rural characteristics related to road system, being considered one of important factors in transportation planning. Lastly, AI extension helps to obtain accessibility index between nodes of road segments and surrounding district areas touched or intersected with the road network system, and it also provides useful information for transportation planning problems. This approach is regarded as one of RS-T (Remote Sensing in Transportation), and it is expected to expand as new application of remotely sensed imagery.

Wards are the biggest part in hospital buildings and the flow of medical personnels and materials is an important factor in the ward design. The evaluation method of the wards and is esscential for the optimum design considering function, environment, patient psychology, etc. To achieve this goal, factors for evaluation of wards were introduced and then each factor was systematically analyzed. A evaluation method are developed from studied factors and are applied to existing wards to check the reliability. The selected evaluation factors are limited to the privacy of patient, the functional efficiency of operation, and the economy of wards.

Since most of companies these days are utilizing the Information system actively, Information System is the most important factor which should be recovered in terms of Business Continuity. However, a lot of enterprises have been outsourcing their Disaster Recovery Center. Therefore, it is highly possible that the information system can not work well and result in the discontinuity of business when any trouble arises because of seperated plan of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. The study draws critical success factors for successful disaster recovery through researches of 42 documents. Then, factors are reviewed through interviews with consultants, experts of Business Continuity Plan and the information system officers of domestic banks. Domestic companies can make use of the study when they develop or renew Disaster Recovery Plan or Information System in terms of Business continuity.

This study examines the influence of functional interior factors on the variation of indoor environment to propose proper elements for planning studyrooms. Several factors that should be included in planning stages of the rooms are discussed to apply appropriate conditions for a pilot study. Field measurements and survey were performed in actual apartment buildings. The influence of lighting, thermal and acoustical conditions on comfort levels were examined.

Recently, IT outsouricng has been one of the major concerns of many companies. This paper explores the relationship between information technology outsourcing risk factors and outsourcing performance. It is based upon a three-phase process utilizing IPO (Input-Process-Output) system. The first phase means the outsourcing planning risks t~at arise from overall environment of outsourcing, organizational refuse, and wrong contracts. The second phase implies outsourcing operational risks, which are occurred while out-sourcing perform and consist of organizational acceptances of outsourcing, partnership and hidden costs. The last phase is outsourcing performance based on four perspective of BSC(Blanced Scored Card). The survey was performed on the IT/IS firms, and the data was collected from 53 service receivers. The result of the analysis are as follows. First, Outsourcing planning risks positively affects the operational risks. Second, Outsourcing operational risks negatively affects the Outsourcing Performance.

In Nigeria, Igbemo-Ekiti is synonymous with a popular local rice which, nevertheless, is characterized with contaminations. Efforts of Government through the Agricultural Development Project (ADP) to improve rice quality in the state, have failed to yield the desired results. This study, therefore, reports the peculiar factors influencing the processing of rice in Igbemo-a major local producing town in Ekiti State, Nigeria. 72 respondents were interviewed, which was a census of the rice processors in 21 residential quarters of the town. Using the multiple linear regression models for analysis, the study discovered that; (i) status of the processors, (ii) expenditure on processing (iii) training acquired before commencing work, and (iv) storage facilities are crucial factors impacting rice processing activities in the town. The paper canvasses for policy measures based on research findings.

This research suggest a causal model to investigate factors and variables which significant effects on user satisfaction with city park recreational facilities in Duryu city park in Taegu, and thereby identifying implications for planning and development of urban parks and open space. For this study the data were gathered by self-adminstered questionnares from 993 households selected by the multi-stage probability sampling method. The analysis of the data consists of two phases. The first involves exploratory factor analysis to draw meaningful factors from the data. Three factors were indentified. The second phase test the causal model of this research employing LISREL methodology. On the base of the analysis results, important implications for planning of city park and open space are recommended.
