컴퓨터 비젼 방법을 이용한 3차원 물체 위치 결정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Determination of 3-D Object's Position Based on Computer Vision Method)

  • This study shows an alternative method for the determination of object's position, based on a computer vision method. This approach develops the vision system model to define the reciprocal relationship between the 3-D real space and 2-D image plane. The developed model involves the bilinear six-view parameters, which is estimated using the relationship between the camera space location and real coordinates of known position. Based on estimated parameters in independent cameras, the position of unknown object is accomplished using a sequential estimation scheme that permits data of unknown points in each of the 2-D image plane of cameras. This vision control methods the robust and reliable, which overcomes the difficulties of the conventional research such as precise calibration of the vision sensor, exact kinematic modeling of the robot, and correct knowledge of the relative positions and orientation of the robot and CCD camera. Finally, the developed vision control method is tested experimentally by performing determination of object position in the space using computer vision system. These results show the presented method is precise and compatible.

적은 STAP 데이터의 공간주파수-도플러 평면 변환을 이용한 공분산행렬 추정 (Covariance Matrix Estimation with Small STAP Data through Conversion into Spatial Frequency-Doppler Plane)

  • STAP(space-time adaptive processing) 알고리즘의 성능은 CUT(cell under test) 내의 간섭에 대한 공분산 행렬 추정의 정확도가 결정적 역할을 한다. STAP 데이터는 일반적으로 많은 배열 소자 및 사용된 다수의 송신 펄스에 의해 결정되는 2차원 데이터 구조를 가지고 있다. 그러므로 공분산 행렬 추정의 정확도를 높이기 위해서는 매우 많은 트레이닝 데이터가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 수신된 적은 개수의 데이터를 공간주파수-도플러 평면으로 변환한 후 가상의 트레이닝 데이터를 생성하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 클러터 점유 위치를 이론적으로 유도하며 이에 근거해서 가상 트레이닝 데이터 생성 절차를 제시하고 STAP 시뮬레이션을 통해서 제시된 알고리즘이 STAP 성능을 개선할 수 있음을 보인다.

Defects Length Measurement using an Estimation Algorithm of the Camera Orientation and an Inclination Angle of a Laser Slit Beam

  • In this paper, a method of measuring the length of defects on the wall and restructuring the defect image is proposed based on the estimation algorithm of a camera orientation which uses the declination angle of a laser slit beam. The estimation algorithm of the horizontally inclined angle of CCD camera adopts a 3-dimensional coordinate transformation of the image plane where both the laser beam and the original image of the defects exist. The estimation equation is obtained by using the information of the beam projected on the wall and the parameters of this equation are experimentally obtained. With this algorithm, the original image of the defect can be reconstructed to an image normal to the wall. From the result of a series of experiments, the measuring accuracy of the defect is measured within 0.5% error bound of real defect size under 30 degree of the horizontally inclined angle. The proposed algorithm provides the method of reconstructing the image taken at any arbitrary horizontally inclined angle to the image normal to the wall and thus, it enables the accurate measurement of the defect lengths only by using a single camera and a laser slit beam.

  • The out-of-squareness is one of the error sources that affect the positioning accuracy of machine tools and coordinate measuring machines. Laser interferometer is widely used to measure the position and angular errors, and can measure the squareness using an optical square. However, the squareness measurement using the laser interferometer is difficult, as compared to other errors due to complicated optics setup and Abbe's error occurrence. The effect of out-of-squareness mainly appears at the face-diagonal of the movable plane. The diagonal displacements are also affected by the position dependent geometric errors. In this study, the squareness estimation techniques via diagonal displacement measurement using the laser interferometer without an optical square were proposed. For accurate estimation and measurement time reduction, the errors selected from proposed discriminant were measured. Discrepancy between the proposed technique with the laser interferometer (with an optical square) result was $0.6{\mu}rad$.

  • The painting process of large ships is an intense manual operation that typically comprises 9-12% of the total shipbuilding cost. Accordingly, shipbuilders need to estimate the required amount of anti-corrosive coatings and painting resources for inventory and cost control. This study aims to develop a software system which enables the shipbuilders to estimate paint area using existing 3D CAD ship structural models. The geometric information of the ships structure are extracted from the existing shipbuilding CAD/CAM system and used to create painting zones. After specifying the painting zones, users can generate the paint faces by clipping structural parts inside each zone. Finally, the paint resources may be obtained from the product of the paint areas and required paint thickness. Implementing the developed software system to real shipbuilders' operations has contributed to improved productivity, faster resource estimation, better accuracy, and fewer coating defects over their conventional manual calculation methods for painting resource estimation.

적응적 탐색영역을 이용한 다중해상도 움직임 추정 방법 (Multi-resolution Motion Estimation Algorithm Using Adaptive Search Region)

  • 본 논문에서는 적응적 탐색영역을 이용한 다중해상도 움직임 추정 방법을 제안하였다. 연속 프레임간의 시간적 중복성을 이용하여 잠재적 움직임 영역을 나타내는 이진 평균을 구성하고, 이를 기반으로 움직임을 추정하였다. 대역들간의 에너지 분포와 계산량을 고려하여, 계층이 높아질수록 잠재적 움직임 영역을 작게 하였다. 모의 실험 결과 EMRME 방법[7]과 비교했을 때, 움직임이 큰 영상에 대해서는 비슷한 화질에서 계산량이 약 33∼46%, 비트수는 약 10∼18% 감소하였으며, 움직임이 작은 영상에 대해서도 비슷한 화질과 비트수에서 계산량이 약 37∼65% 감소하였다.

Measurement of the Modulation Transfer Function of Infrared Imaging System by Modified Slant Edge Method

  • The performance of a staring infrared imaging system can be characterized based on estimating the modulation transfer function (MTF). The slant edge method is a widely used MTF estimation method, which can effectively solve the aliasing problem caused by the discrete undersampling of the infrared focal plane array. However, the traditional slant edge method has some limitations such as the low precision of the edge angle extraction and using the approximate function to fit the edge spread function (ESF), which affects the accuracy of the MTF estimation. In this paper, we propose a modified slant edge method, including an edge angle extraction method that can improve the precision of the edge angle extraction and an ESF fitting algorithm which is based on the transfer function model of the imaging system, to enhance the accuracy of the MTF estimation. This modified slant edge method presents higher estimation accuracy and better immunity to noise and edge angle than other traditional methods, which is demonstrated by the simulation and application experiments operated in our study.

Lade의 3차원 파괴규준을 이용한 현무암의 전단강도 산정 (Estimation to Shear Strength of Basalt using Lade's Three-dimensional Failure Criterion)

  • 본 연구에서는 제주도 현무암에 대한 삼축압축시험을 실시하고 Lade(1977)의 3차원 파괴규준을 적용하여 강도정수를 산정하였다. 그리고 3차원 파괴규준에 의해 산정된 강도정수와 파괴면의 특성을 살펴보고, Mohr-Coulomb의 파괴규준으로 산정한 전단강도정수와 비교검토하였다. 삼축압축시험결과를 토대로 Lade(1977)의 3차원 파괴규준을 이용하여 파괴시의 ($I_1^3/I_3-27$)과 ($P_a/I_1$) 관계로부터 매개변수인 ${\eta}_1$ 및 m을 구하였다. 3차원 파괴면을 나타내는 정팔면체 평면에서 조면암질 현무암의 파괴면이 가장 크고 스코리아가 가장 작으며, 단면형상은 조면암질 현무암이 가장 삼각형에 가깝고 스코리아가 가장 원형에 가까운 것으로 나타났다. 정팔면체 평면에서 삼축실험결과와 Lade의 파괴포락선 및 Mohr-Coulomb의 파괴포락선을 비교한 결과 높은 응력하에서는 Lade의 파괴규준이 실험치와 일치하며, 낮은 응력하에서는 Mohr-Coulomb의 파괴규준이 실험치와 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 Lade의 3차원 파괴면은 Mohr-Coulomb의 3차원 파괴면보다 크며, 이는 Lade의 파괴규준으로 산정된 전단강도정수가 Mohr-Coulomb의 파괴규준으로 구한 것 보다 더 크게 산정됨을 의미한다.

  • In this paper, PSD(Position Sensitive Detector) sensor system that estimates position for moving objects in 2D plane is developed. PSD sensor is used to measure the position of an incidence light in real-time. To get the position of light source of moving target, a new parameter calibration algorithm and neural network technique are proposed and applied. Real-time position measurements of the mobile robot with light source is examined to validate the proposed method. It is shown that the proposed technique provides accurate position estimation of the moving object.
