영상기반 편대비행을 위한 선도기 자세예측 알고리즘 (Pose Estimation of Leader Aircraft for Vision-based Formation Flight)

  • 본 논문은 편대비헹에서 영상만을 이용하여 선도기의 자세를 예측 하는 알고리즘 개발에 대해 논하고 있다. X-PLANE 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 획득한 영상에 SURF(Speed Up Robust Features)알고리즘을 이용하여 특징점을 추출 하였다. 그리고 자세예측 방법은 POSIT(Pose from Orthography and Scaling with Iteration) 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 결론적으로 우리는 영상만을 이용한 자세추정법이 $1.1{\sim}1.76^{\circ}$의 작은 추정오차 결과를 나타냄을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • This paper proposes a positional estimation method for extracted line features by stereo vision. Based on given reference plane, planar surfaces corresponding the given plane are first extracted. Then, features in the planar surfaces are selected. Using the Extended Kalman Filter the feature positions are estimated by combining area- and feature-based stereo matching results. Experimental results show the proposed method is feasible.

  • Among the compression methods of moving picture information, a motion estimation method is used to remove time-repeating. The Block Matching Algorithm in motion estimation methods is the commonest one. In recent days, it is required the more advanced high quality in many image processing fields, for example HDTV, etc. Therefore, we have to accomplish not by means of Partial Search Algorithm, but by means of Full Search Algorithm in Block Matching Algorithm. In this paper, it is suggested a structure that reduce total calculation quantity and size, because the structure using Bit Plane select and use only 3bit of 8bit luminance signal.

Comparison of error estimation methods and adaptivity for plane stress/strain problems

  • This paper deals with adaptive finite element analysis of linearly elastic structures using different error estimators based on flux projection (or best guess stress values) and residual methods. Presentations are given on a typical h-type adaptive analysis, a mesh refinement scheme and the coupling of adaptive finite element analysis with automatic mesh generation. Details about different error estimators are provided and their performance, reliability and convergence are studied using six node quadratic triangular elements. Several examples are presented to demonstrate the reliability of different error estimators.

비트 플레인 정합에 의한 디지털 영상 안정화 (Digital image stabilization based on bit-plane matching)

  • 본 논문에서는 비트 플레인 영생(bit-plane image)에서의 정합을 이용하여 디지털 영상 안정화를 수행하는 새로운 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법에서는 기존의 전역 탐색 알고리즘을 하나의 비트 플레인으로부터 추출한 이진 영상에 적용함으로써 움직임 추정에 소요되는 계산량을 줄이면서도 기존 방식들보다 우수한 웅직임 추정 성능을 갖도록 하였다. 더욱이 제안된 기법은 조도 변화를 고려하여 비트 플레인을 선정하는데 있어서 적응 기법을 적용함으로써 견고한 성능을 갖도록 하였다. Brute-force 방식을 기준으로 RMSE(root mean square error)를 이용하여 제안하는 방식과 기존의 방식들을 비교하였고, 실험 결과에서 제안하는 방식이 카메라의 움직임 벡터를 기존 방식들보다 정확하게 검출하고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 제안하는 방식은 기존 방식들에 비해서 연산량이 작고, 보다 간단한 방식으로 디지털 영상 안정화를 수행하고 있다.

  • 본 논문은 3차원 공간상에 존재하는 타원형 물체의 위치 및 자세 추정 기법을 다룬다. 영상에 투영된 타원특징을 해석하여 원래의 타원에 대한 3차원 자세정보를 구하는 것은 어려운 문제이다. 본 논문은 타원특징의 3차원 정보를 추출하기 위하여, 두개의 공면점을 도입한 위치 및 자세 추정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 모델과 영상좌표계에서 각각 정의되는 타원-공면점에 대한 대응쌍이 주어질 때 두 좌표계에 대한 동차변환행렬의 유일해를 결정한다. 타원-공면점은 폴라리티를 기반으로 원근변환에 불변하는 한 쌍의 삼각특징으로 변환되며, 삼각특징들로부터 평면 호모그래피가 추정된다. 카메라 좌표계에 대한 물체 좌표계의 3차원 위치 및 자세 파라미터들은 호모그래피 분해를 통해 계산된다. 제안된 방법은 3차원 자세 및 위치 추정 오차의 분석과 공면점의 위치에 따른 민감도의 분석을 통해 평가된다.

Natural frequency error estimation for 3D brick elements

  • In computing eigenvalues for a large finite element system it has been observed that the eigenvalue extractors produce eigenvectors that are in some sense more accurate than their corresponding eigenvalues. From this observation the paper uses a patch type technique based on the eigenvector for one mesh quality to provide an eigenvalue error indicator. Tests show this indicator to be both accurate and reliable. This technique was first observed by Stephen and Steven for an error estimation for buckling and natural frequency of beams and two dimensional in-plane and out-of-plane structures. This paper produces and error indicator for the more difficult problem of three dimensional brick elements.

Terrain Slope Estimation Methods Using the Least Squares Approach for Terrain Referenced Navigation

  • This paper presents a study on terrain referenced navigation (TRN). The extended Kalman filter (EKF) is adopted as a filter method. A Jacobian matrix of measurement equations in the EKF consists of terrain slope terms, and accurate slope estimation is essential to keep filter stability. Two slope estimation methods are proposed in this study. Both methods are based on the least-squares approach. One is planar regression searching the best plane, in the least-squares sense, representing the terrain map over the region, determined by position error covariance. It is shown that the method could provide a more accurate solution than the previously developed linear regression approach, which uses lines rather than a plane in the least-squares measure. The other proposed method is weighted planar regression. Additional weights formed by Gaussian pdf are multiplied in the planar regression, to reflect the actual pdf of the position estimate of EKF. Monte Carlo simulations are conducted, to compare the performance between the previous and two proposed methods, by analyzing the filter properties of divergence probability and convergence speed. It is expected that one of the slope estimation methods could be implemented, after determining which of the filter properties is more significant at each mission.

시편두께 및 균열깊이 영향을 고려한 비표준시편의 J 시험법 및 구속효과의 정량화 (Specimen Thickness and Crack Depth Effects on J Testing and Crack Tip Constraint for Non-standard Specimen)

  • This paper compiles solutions of plastic $\eta$ factors and crack tip stress triaxialites for standard and nonstandard fracture toughness testing specimens, via detailed three-dimensional (3-D) finite element (FE) analyses. Fracture toughness testing specimens include a middle cracked tension (M(T)) specimen, SE(B), single-edge cracked bar in tension (SE(T)) and C(T) specimen. The ligament-to-thickness ratio of the specimen is systematically varied. It is found that the use of the CMOD overall provides more robust experimental J estimation than that of the LLD, for all cases considered in the present work. Moreover, the J estimation based on the load-CMOD record is shown to be insensitive to the specimen thickness, and thus can be used for testing specimen with any thickness. The effects of in-plane and out-of-plane constraint on the crack tip stress triaxiality are also quantified, so that when experimental J value is estimated according to the procedure recommended in this paper, the corresponding crack tip stress triaxiality can be estimated. Moreover, it is found that the out-of-plane constraint effect is related to the in-plane constraint effect.
