GMAW에서 와이어 송급속도의 변동이 아크안정성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effects of Wire speed Fluctuation on Arc Stability in GMA Welding)

  • Weld quality of GMA welding processes is closely related to arc stability. Although many researches on arc stability have been performed, real-time estimation of arc stability has not been attempted. For instance, Mita proposed a off-line statistical method in which short circuiting and arcing time, and voltage and current wave forms were sampled to assess arc stability. But this method is not suitable to assess arc stability for GMA welder which employ inverter power source due to its controlled current and voltage wave forms. In this paper, the relationship between are stability and wire feed rate fluctuation is analyzed to propose new criterion for inverter power source. When arc voltage and arc current and arcing time are analyzed, we can assess arc stability only for short circuit transfer mode. When wire feed rate is analyzed, we can estimate arc stability udner the condition of spray transfer mode as well. Hence, the wire feed rate is chosen for monitoring process variable to cover possible metal transfer modes in GMAW. Through this research, it has been identified that arc stability in GMA welding processes is closely related to wire fed rate. When inverter power source is used, conventional statistical method of estimating arc stability, such as Mita index, is no longer valid due to its controlled voltage and current wave forms. Arc stability has been also examined in phase plane diagram.

로켓엔진용 연료펌프 전산유동해석

  • 액체로켓용 연료펌프의 설계를 검증하기 위해 상용 3차원 유동해석 소프트웨어를 이용하여 설계점 성능을 예측하였다. 연료펌프의 성능과 축추력에 영향을 미치는 누설유량에 대한 예측의 정확도를 높이기 위해 인듀서, 임펠러, 볼류트 및 2차 유로를 계산영역으로 설정하였으며 인듀서/임펠러/누설유로/볼류트 사이의 경계면에 혼합면 기법을 적용하여 계산에 소요되는 시간을 줄이고자 하였다. 유동해석을 통해 예측된 수력성능은 설계요구조건을 만족시키는 것으로 나타났으나 축추력이 허용치에 비해 크게 예측되어 이를 감소시키기 위한 설계변경이 이루어졌다. 변경된 설계안에 대한 유동해석을 수행한 결과 연료펌프의 수력성능은 유지되면서 축추력은 처음의 설계안에 비해 30% 수준으로 크게 감소하였음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The electronic speckle pattern interferometer (ESPI) has been applied to many technical problems such as deformation and displacement measurement, strain visualization and surface roughness monitoring. In this study, we used an ESPI system based on the dual beam speckle interferometer method in order to measure in-plane displacement and vibration mode using the ESIP technique. This research was carried out for the purpose of applying the vibration analysis method employing Electro-Optic holographic interference technique to the vibration analysis of uniform rectangular cantilevers plate(SS400,STS304) with cantilevers span to breadth ratio of 150 by 75. And thickness of 1mm and 0.8mm respectively. We improved the ESPI technique in order to obtain the distribution of displacement component resolved in one direction through a CCD camera combined with an image processing system. To certify and to assess the accuracy in measuring by this ESPI, the results obtained with the speckle method and vibration mode analysis are to be compared with those results by Warbuton's Theoretical expression and vibration made in FEM analysis.

  • Micromachines are extremely novel artifacts with a variety of special characteristics. Utilizing their tiny dimensions ranging roughly from 10 to $1O^3$ micro-meters, the micromachines can perform tasks in a revolutionary manner that would be impossible for conventional artifacts. Micromachines are in general related to various coupled physical phenomena. They are required to be evaluated and designed considering the coupled phenomena. This paper describes finite element analysis (FEA) simulation of practical behaviors for the micro actuator. Especially, electric field modeling in micro actuators has been generally restricted to in-plane two-dimensional finite element analysis because of the complexity of the micro actuator geometry. However, in this thesis, the actual three-dimensional geometry of the micro actuator is considered. The starting torque obtained from the in-plane two-dimensional analytical solutions were compared with that of the actual three-dimensional FE analysis results. The starting torque is proportional to $V^2$, and that the two-dimensional analytical solutions are larger than the three-dimensional FE ones. It is found that the evaluation of micro actuator has to be considered electrical leakage phenomenon.

  • 래버린스 위어는 마루부의 형상이 직선이 아닌 위어로 월류 폭을 증가시켜 월류량을 증대시키는 수공구조물이다. 최근 강우량 증가에 의한 댐 여수로의 개선 및 관개시설 및 운하관련 수공구조물 등 래버린스 위어의 활용범위는 다양하고 이에 관한 연구가 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 수리모형실험을 통해 삼각형 래버린스 위어 형상에 따른 수리특성 및 유량특성을 분석하여, 삼각형 래버린스 위어의 유량계수식을 제시하는데 있다. 본 연구에서 제시된 유량계수식은 상관계수, 잔차의 합, 평균절대오차율을 분석한 결과 적용성이 있는 것으로 나타나 댐의 여수로 및 관개시설 등 수공구조물 설계에 적용이 가능할 것이다.

Compressibility of Changi sand in K0 consolidation

  • The one-dimensional compressibility of sand is an important property for the estimation of settlement or deformation of sand deposits. The $K_0$ value of sand is also an important design parameter. Experimental results are presented in this paper to study the compressibility of sand in $K_0$ consolidation tests. The $K_0$ consolidation tests were carried out using a triaxial cell and a plane-strain apparatus. Specimens prepared using both the moist tamping and the water sedimentation methods were tested. The testing data demonstrate that the type of testing apparatus does not affect the $K_0$ measurement if proper boundary conditions are imposed in the tests. The data also show that the compressibility and the $K_0$ value of loose sand specimens prepared using the moist tamping method are very sensitive to the variation of void ratio. The $K_0$ values measured from these tests do not agree with the $K_0$ values calculated from Jaky's equation. The compressibility and $K_0$ values of sand obtained from tests on specimens prepared using different preparation methods are different which may reflect the influence of soil fabrics or structures on the one dimensional compression behavior of sand.

전(全)방향 충돌 회피를 위한 액츄에이터 최적 분배 알고리즘 (Unified Control of Independent Braking and Steering Using Optimal Control Allocation Methods for Collision Avoidance)

  • This paper presents a unified control algorithm of independent braking and steering for collision avoidance. The desired motion of the vehicle in the yaw plane is determined using the probabilistic risk assessment method based on target state estimation. For the purpose of coordinating the independent braking and steering, a non-linear vehicle model has been developed, which describes the vehicle dynamics in the yaw plane in both linear and extended non-linear ranges of handling. A control allocation algorithm determines the control inputs that minimize the difference between the desired and actual vehicle motions, while satisfying all actuator constraints. The performance of the proposed control algorithm has been investigated via computer simulations conducted using the vehicle dynamics software CARSIM and Matlab/Simulink.

신뢰성 해석에 의한 평면응력요소의 설계변수 분석 (A Design Variable Study of Plane Stress Element by Reliability Analysis)

  • In order to take account of the statistical properties of probability variables used in the structural analysis, the conventional approach using the safety factor based on past experience usually estimated the safety of a structure. The real structures could only be analyzed with the error in estimation of loads, material characters and the dimensions of the members. But the errors should be considered systematically in the structural analysis. Structural safety could not precisely be appraised by the traditional structural design concept. Recently, new approach based on the probability concept has been applied to the assessment of structural safety using the reliability concept. Thus, the computer program by the Probabilistic FEM is developed by incorporating the probabilistic concept into the conventional FEM method. This paper estimated for the reliability of a plane stress structure by Advanced First-Order Second Moment method using von Mises, Tresca and Mohr-Coulomb failure criterions. The reliability index and failure probability of attained by the Monte Carlo Simulation method with the von Mises criterion were same as PFEM, but the Monte Carlo Simulation were very time-consuming. The variance of member thickness and load could influence the reliability and failure probability most sensitively among the design variables from the results of the parameter analysis. And proper failure criterion must be used to design safely.

패브리 초킹을 이용한 환형분사 초음속 이젝터의 부유동 압력 예측 (Estimation of Secondary Flow Pressure of an Annular-Injection-Type Supersonic Ejector Using Fabri Choking)

  • 혼합챔버 내에서 패브리 초킹(Fabri choking)이 발생한다는 가정을 이용하여 이차목을 갖는 환형분사 초음속 이젝터의 이론 해석을 수행하였다. 부유동 압력을 예측하기 위해 혼합챔버 입구에서 패브리 초킹면 사이를 비혼합 이론(non mixing theory)을 이용하여 계산하였다. 혼합챔버의 수축각에 의해 발생하는 깔때기 모양의 경사충격파를 이차원 경사충격파로 모사하였고, 패브리 초킹면의 주유동에만 영향을 미친다고 가정하였다. 또한 패브리 초킹면의 주유동 압력과 부유동 압력이 같다는 물리적인 제한조건을 사용하였다. 그 결과 혼합챔버의 수축각이 4도보다 작은 조건에서 실험값을 잘 예측하는 것을 확인하였다.

인체 하지부 근골격계 모델 및 의자에서 일어서는 동작 시 근력 예측 (A Musculoskeletal Model of a Human Lower Extremity and Estimation of Muscle Forces while Rising from a Seated Position)

  • An analytical model for a human body is important to predict muscle and joint forces. Because it is difficult to estimate muscle or joint forces from a human body, the objective of this study is the development of a reliable analytical model for a human body to evaluate the lower extremity muscle and joint forces. The musculoskeletal system of the human lower extremity is modeled as a multibody system employing the Hill-type muscle model. Muscle forces are determined to minimize energy consumption, and we assume that motion is constrained in the sagittal plane. Muscle forces are calculated through an equilibrium analysis while rising from a seated position. The musculoskeletal model consists of four segments. Each segment is a rigid body and connected by frictionless revolute joints. Muscles of the lower extremity are simplified to seven muscles with those that are not related to the sagittal plane motion are ignored. Muscles that play a similar role are combined together. The results of the present study are compared with experimental results to validate the lower extremity model and the assumptions of the present study.
