전주시 덕진공원의 장소성 (The Placeness of Deokjin Park in Jeonju City)

  • Deokjin Park in Jeonju City was the site of a pond during the Koryo Period. Although Jeonju City has developed rapidly in modem times, Deokjin Pond was preserved and was developed into a park It can be theorized that Deokjin Pond's latent character has made it possible for it to adapt to the changes it has undergone throgh the years. In this study, the placeness of Deokjin Park is determined by examining its role in the adaptation process. Placeness can be determined by examining the objective character of a certain environment and the subjective experience related to it. For this paper, documents about the history of Deokjin Park were examined so that the facts related to it could be established. In addition, a number of Jeonju citizens were asked about their memories of Deokjin Park since memories reveal people's subjective experiences. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Deokjin Pond is an ideal space for Feng Shui. It is a holy place because the tomb of the founder of the Chosun Dynasty is close to it. In addition, it has scenic value as it is part of the Jeonju Palkyoung (eight sceneries). To this day, we can see people washing their hair in the pond, proof that Deokjin Pond is still the subject of folk beliefs. When Korea was under Japanese rule, Deokjin Pond became Deokjin Park because of its ideal location, scenic value, and grand possibilities as an amusement center. Over the years, though its scenic value decreased after the death of its pine trees. Jeonju City, however, was able to revive the park's charm though a series of renovation projects and through the addition of several facilities. Deokjin Park is now surrounded by many cultural buildings. The significance of Deokjin Park can be expected to evolve with these changes. This study helps to predict the future of Deokjin Park and to elucidate the importance of landscape architecture from the point of view of an "evolving place."

1910년대 전후 전남 영광지역의 종교지형과 민족사회·경제운동 (Topography of Religion and National, Social & Economic Movements in Chonnam Yeonggwang before and after the 1910's)

  • This paper is to take note of national, social and economic movement, social & economic publicness of religion surrounding Yeonggwang, Joennam around 1910s. At first I would like to look at this period because regional society was in the middle of change of large transition before and after Japan's forced occupation of Korea in 1910s and March 1st Independence Movement in 1919. In particular we focus on spatially Yeonggwang in Joennam because this area is not only called as advent area of Buddhism earlier but also is unique regional culture and ideological topology where Donghak, Protestantism, Catholic, Institute of Won Buddhism and etc. Through casting light upon the above, it is expected to offer one clue for the question of internalizing value to be sought for in the national and social and economic movement by Korean religion around 1910 and public goods in the strategy and tactics to be selected and further publicness and practice lying in their awareness and behavior. In particular it is thought to have advanced the accumulation of case study of Yeonggwang in Joennam with representative 'place-ness' related to this. Along with this it is considered that our challenge is to restore and casting light again on common foundation of existence shape and publicness of various religions in the middle of national and social movement and economic movement in Yeonggwang of Joennam area. In other words, we expect that religions will continue individual efforts and common practices to urge social justice for historic and public value based on common good encompassing historic value, in other words, individual responsibility and social justice among social and economic conditions originated from Japanese colonial era.

경복궁 후원 수림의 변화과정 및 주요 노거수군의 역사적 가치규명 (A Study on the Historical Values of the Changes of Forest and the Major Old Big Trees in Gyeongbokgung Palace's Back Garden)

  • 본고는 최근 74년만의 개방으로 수많은 관람객이 방문하고 있는 청와대 경복궁 후원 공간의 변화과정을 통하여 후원 경관의 역사적 가치를 규명하고자 조선일기와 조선왕조실록, 도성대지도, 북궐도형, 경복궁 복원기본계획 등의 사료와 도면 등을 근거로 경복궁 후원의 시원과 발달과정을 고찰하였고 이를 통하여 다음의 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 조선시대 경복궁 후원은 고려시대부터 명당으로 이름난 지역이었고 당시 남경으로 명명되며 신궁이 조성된 지역이었고 고려시대 이미 풍수도참사상과 주국의 고공기의 영향을 받아 궁성과 궁궐이 조영되었음을 확인하였다. 조선시대 전기 경복궁 후원은 궁궐의 후원으로 각광받지 못하였으나 고종 시기부터 현재까지 국가 통치권자의 생활공간으로서의 장소적 가치를 지니고 있다. 둘째, 후원의 경계는 도성지도, La Coree, 경무대일원, 일본지리풍속대계, 한국사진첩, 조선건축도집, 경성부 도시계획 조사서 등의 문헌을 통해 신무문 밖 현재의 청와대 권역이 경복궁의 경외에 조성된 후원임을 규명하였다. 임진왜란을 겪으면서 황폐화된 지역을 고종시기 중건과정을 거쳐 공사(公私)가 결합된 공간으로 사용되기도 하였다. 일제강점기에는 후원의 전각들이 이건되거나 훼철되며 법궁의 후원으로서의 장소성이 훼손되었으나 광복 후 대통령 관저로 사용되며 다시금 통치자의 장소라는 가치를 회복하게 되었다. 셋째, 경복궁 후원은 왜란과 일제강점기를 통해 공간의 변화가 크게 일어났다. 지형적 변화가 가장 큰 곳은 조선총독부관저가 건립되었던 경농재 일원으로 토지의 용도변화가 빈번하였다. 반면 현 경무대지역과 소정원 옆 수림과 백악의 수림은 전통적 수림의 형태를 계승하며 보존되었다. 이를 명확하게 규명하기 위하여 1:1200의 경무대관저경내부지배치도와 위성사진을 신무문 기준으로 중첩하였고 그 결과 백악에서 발원한 물길이 현재에도 여전히 유존하고 있음을 확인하였고 물길을 따라 오늘날까지도 수림지역이 변화하지 않고 존재하였음을 확인할 수 있었다. 넷째, 전통적 수림경관이 계승된 지역들은 지형의 기능적 변화가 미비하였고 더불어 주요 노거수군이 존치되고 있다. 이 지역에서 확인되는 노거수는 역사적 가치를 가지는 지표수종들이었다. 대표적으로 녹지원에 자리한 반송은 융문당 옆 식재된 반송 중 일부가 보존되어 온 것으로 추정되며 국가원수와 중요 귀빈들의 만찬 시 포토존으로 활용되어온 역사성을 지니고 있다. 마지막으로 청와대 내 경복궁 후원의 가치를 지속적으로 보존관리하기 위해서는 일제강점기 사료들에 대한 발굴을 통해 공간의 가치를 명확히 규명하고 시대별 정원고고학적 층위의 위계를 설정하는 것이 급선무이다. 또한 경복궁으로부터 청와대로 이어지는 조선시대부터 근현대에 이르는 역사경관을 보존하기 위한 근거는 과거부터 영속되어온 청와대 경복군 후원 노거수군의 영역대를 훼손하지 않아야하며 청와대 내 수림을 전수 조사하는 후속연구가 필요하다.

노마드적 관점에서 본 전통 정자의 평면구성에 관한 연구 - 안동하회마을 내의 정자를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Potential for Korean Traditional Pavilion from the Perspective of Nomad - Focused on Korean Traditional Pavilion in Andong Hahoe Folk Village -)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how the perception of lives and studies in the Joseon Dynasty period, and the concept of its sculptures can be reflected in Korean traditional pavilion place, from the perspective of Nomadism as a western philosophy of this era. Nomadism literally refers to way of life of peoples who do not live continually in the same place but move cyclically searching for temporary centres whose stability depends on the availability of food and water supply or pastures for their livestock. In recent years, the term encompasses three general types: job nomads, digital nomads and ubi-nomads, which represent distinct features of modern society. Its concept implies looking for the new creative possibility through the liberation of desire and the breakaway to another thinking through continuous formation and transformation. Likewise, Korean traditional pavilion is the architecture to take a quick rest while walking in the mountains. This open place thus connects surroundings with people who are allowed to assimilate with nature as well as train their mind by following the law of nature, in order to finally reach the celestial state of mind. Knowing how to see, enjoy and appreciate the arts very close to nature, our ancestors were able to learn aesthetic activities. After recognizing Korean traditional pavilion as the potential place of unification of heaven and men which is Korean scholor's lifestyle and outlook on the world, this study accordingly will identify the value and meaning of Korean traditional architecture according to Nomadism in the occidental point of view.

광주폴리의 입지 및 공간적 특성에 관한 조사 연구 (A Study on the Location and Spatial Characteristics of Gwangju Folly)

  • Gwangju Metropolitan City has implemented a creative regeneration project of Gwangju Folly in the site of Gwangju-eup Fortress as part of the Gwangju Design Biennale by inviting well-known international architects. This study examined and analyzed the characteristics of location, place, and space through actual survey. The results were as follows. Gwangju Folly were mainly located at the four gates and corners of Gwangju-eup Fortress, main entrances of Asia Culture Complex, and historical places where the May 18 Democratization Movement occurred. The common place of Gwangju Folly was a footpath and common location types were the full location of footpath width and the partial location of footpath width. For the spatial types of Gwangju Folly, the practical type which people can stay was the most common(2/3). In the partial location of footpath width, the type which people take a rest and look out over the surroundings accounted for a half. In the full location of footpath width, the gate type which people pass accounted for 2/5. However, as footpath width was minimum for walking, both partial and full occupation types were narrow in place. It influenced the image of Gwangju Folly. Gwangju Folly did not play as a figure and show architects' intentions clearly because of their narrow locations. Therefore, it is very necessary to make a plan to maintain places so that Gwangju Folly do not have a cramped image and architects' intentions become clear with citizens' cultural competence. Also, urban property which creates the identity and attraction of Gwangju continuously should be settled down through helping citizens recognize the intention and value of artistic works.

캠핑장소에 따른 자연방사선량 관한 측정 평가 (The Evaluation of Measuring about Natural Background Radiation according with Camping Place)

  • 주5일 근무제와 여가 생활의 증가로 인하여 캠핑을 하는 사람들이 지속적으로 증가 하고 있다. 따라서 다양한 캠핑장시설이 증가하고 있다. 사설 캠핑장의 경우 파쇄석이라 불리는 자갈 사이트와 일반 흙으로 된 사이트 등 다양한 사이트가 존재한다. 캠핑장은 야외 활동이 많은 곳이기 때문에 캠핑장내에서 측정되는 방사선량을 각각 다른 싸이트 별로 자연방사선량을 측정한 후에 분석하였다. 파쇄석으로 만들어진 장소보다는 흙으로 만들어진 싸이트에서 자연방사선량이 적게 측정되었으며, 인위적으로 만든 타프 그늘보다는 자연적으로 형성된 나무그늘이 자연 방사선량이 적게 측정되었다. 결론적으로 캠핑장소 선택시에서 자연방사선량을 피하려면 인위적으로 만든 캠핑장 보다는 나무가 많은 자연휴양림 장소가 캠핑하기 좋은 곳 이라고 알리고 싶다.

Places of Memory in the Collective Memory of Locals in Janghang, Korea

  • Place memory is a new way of seeing as a new concept of cultural landscape research. Various research works and discussions have recently spread in landscape studies. In particular, the, which is visible and material, is a medium in which collective memory is embedded in place memory. The purpose of this study is to extract places of memory from the collective memory of residents of Janghang, Korea, and to visualize it through semantic relations. For this purpose, semi-standardized interviews (34 persons) were conducted with residents, and frequency analysis and semantic network analysis were used. As a result, the interviewees recalled only 127 places in Janghang that existed between 1920 and 2010. Locals remember the city based on places of memory. This means that the city could be illustrated according to specific places that are frequently mentioned. For instance, the top 25 places (top 20%) explain 65.6% of all the places in the city, and the top 39 places (top 30.8%) could describe 78.7% of the places. Some places are referred to more frequently when they are in the city's symbolic landscape, and the city's identity is projected on them. Some places were mentioned only infrequently but were nevertheless very important places by which to understand Janghang. These places of memory have not appeared in the documentary records before, which shows the value of the collective memory of the locals and the effectiveness of the interviewing method. In the clustering of the semantic network, six groups of places appeared. The local residents remembered the modern industrial city and recalled it in connection with the sites of daily life. This shows the possibility of looking not only at public memory and famous heritage as a macro history but also at daily life and meaningful places as a micro history about locals. This study has significance as an initial research that identified and visualized places of memory from the perspective of local residents. Such an approach could be useful in the study of everyday life and the conservation of modern heritage.

공공도서관 경제적 가치 측정에 관한 연구 - 대출 서비스를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Measuring of the Economic Value of a Public Library)

  • 최근 다양한 방법들이 공공도서관 가치 측정에 적용되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 공공도서관 가치 측정 방법을 소비자 잉여와 조건부 가치측정법을 중심으로 분석하였다. 또한 이를 이용해 공공도서관이 개인에게 미치는 직접적인 경제적 가치를 측정하였다. 84%의 이용자들은 공공도서관이 개인의 생활에 영향을 미치고 있다고 하였으며 한 사람이 도서관 이용을 위해 월 8,270원의 금액을 지불할 의향을 보였다. 도서 대출을 위해서는 1권에 1,470원의 금액을 지불할 의사를 나타냈다. 이를 토대로 추정된 전체 도서관에 대한 경제적 가치는 1/3배, 도서 대출에 대한 개별 서비스의 경제적 가치는 3배로 분석되어 측정 대상에 따라 큰 차이를 나타냈다.

대학생의 생활예절에 대한 가치의식과 수행 (The Consciousness of Values and Enactments toward the Etiquette among University Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the general trends, to determine the factors of influencing the consciousness of values and enactments in the etiquette among university students, and eventually to provide the useful information for etiquette education of university students. Four-hundred and forty university students from four different universities in Cheongju city were selected, and questionnaire survey method was utilized. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, stepwise regression analysis, and Pearson's correlation analysis using SAS program. The results and the conclusions of this study were as follows; 1) The level of value consciousness and enactments in the etiquette were found to be 3.92 and 3.42 respectively(mean 3.00). 2) There were significant differences in the value consciousness according to major, parents' age, fathers' job, family types, and the experience of etiquette education, and there were significant differences in enactments according to sex, religion, having girl/boy friends, growth place, parents' age, and the experience of etiquette education. 3) It was found that main educator of etiquette was most highly influencing factor on consciousness of value, and sex, age were most highly influencing factors on enactments in the etiquette. 4) There were positive strong relationships between value consciousness and enactments in the etiquette.

오수에 따른 식물성 Plankton의 분포조사 (A Study on the phytoplankton distribution in polluted water.)

  • To investigate the phytoplankton distribution effected by polluted water, this research was carried out at eight sampling places in Tae-jun and one sampling place in Kang-kyong during the period from May 10 to July 25, 1977. The results are as follows. 1) The range of water temperature was 21.0~36.0$\circ$C (May 10~July 25), and pH value was in the range of 3.5~11.0. 2) BOD was generally high (140~432mg/l) 3) At the places where BOD was high, dominant species were Aphanocapsa rivularis, Microcystis aeruginosa and Oscillatoria sp. belonging to Cyanophyta, Chlorella sp. belonging to Chlorophyta, Euglena sp. belonging to Euglenophyta, and Navicula exqua and Navicula sp. belonging to Chrysophyta. 4) At the places where the range of pH value was 3.5~3.8 and the range of BOD value was 134~148mg/l, observable species were Scenedesmus ellipsoideus and Pandorina morurn belonging to Chlorophyta, Navicula exqua belonging to Chrysophyta and Euglena sp. belonging to Euglenophyta. 5) At the places where the range of pH value was 9.0~11.0 and the range of BOD value was 214~220mg/l, a few observable species were Scenedesmus carinatus, Scenedesmus ellipsoideus, Scenedesmus bijuga and Scenedesmus obundance belonging to Chlorophyta.
