영광원자력 배관소재의 재료물성치 평가 (1)-정지냉각계통- (Evaluation of Material Properties for Yonggwang Nuclear Piping System(I)-Shutdown Cooling System-)

  • Leak Before Break(LBB) design concept is applied to piping systems of newly-built Yonggwang 3, 4 nuclear generating stations as a design alternative to the provision of pipe whip restraints, in recognition of the questionable benefits of providing such restraints. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the material properties (tensile and fracture toughness) of SA312 TP316 stainless steel and their associated welds manufactured for shutdown cooling system of Yonggwang 3, 4 nuclear generating stations. Effect of various parameters such as specimen orientation, test temperature, welding on material properties were examined.

Crack Opening Behavior of Perpetrated Crack Under Fatigue Load

  • The leak-before-break (LBB) behaviors of a structural component under high and low fatigue loads are an important problem in nuclear power plants, liquid nitrogen gas tankers and chemical plants. This paper is an experimental study to evaluate the crack opening behavior after penetration for plate and pipe specimens. Crack opening displacement after penetration under low fatigue load could be satisfactorily determined at the center of the plate thickness regardless of the specimen size. In the case of high fatigue load, it is shown that the crack opening displacement at the center of a penetrated crack carl be derived using the gross stress, $\sigma$/sug G/, and the front surface crack length, a$\_$s/, together with the back surface crack length, a$\_$b/.

소형주사전자현미경용 전자공학계의 개발 (A Development of Electron Optics System of Mini-Sized SEM)

  • As an electron scanning microscopes has traditionally required a considerably large room equipped with several service and pipe lines due to its inherent size. As an alternative, a small sized SEM, simply called a mini-SEM, is introduced even if the performance in terms of magnification and resolution is a little inferior to a classical thermal SEM. However, the size and fabrication cost is dramatically reduced, dedicating to opening a new market. The optical system in the mini-SEM is redesigned and specimen stage is quitely reduced and vertical axis is excluded. The design tools and calibration techniques to develope the mini-SEM are introduced and its performance is verified through numerical analysis experiments.

  • The objective of this investigation is to develop an efficient method to generate and measure torsional waves in non-ferromagnetic waveguides by using magnetostrictive transducers. In existing methods using a nickel strip that is attached circumferentially to the test specimen, large current input to the magnetostrictive transducer often generates undesired wave modes in addition to the desired torsional wave. However, we propose a new method to generate the torsional waves without being accompanied with other undesirable wane modes regardless of the input current magnitude. The specific transducer configuration is suggested and its performance is also checked through a series of experiments.

  • A hot stamping technology of vehicle door impact beam made of thin sheet steel has been developed, with the aim of ensuring occupant safety in a side collision. This technology has been implemented to increase the strength of vehicle body parts and to reduce not only the weight of door impact beam but also the number of work processes. Mechanical tests were performed to obtain material properties of hot-stamped specimen and those were used as input data in stamping and structural simulation for optimal design of door impact beam. Strength of hot-stamped door impact beam increased to the value 102% higher than that of conventional pipe-shaped door impact beam and structural simulation showed that hot-stamped door impact beam achieved 28% weight reduction.

디스크 시험 및 수소처리 인장시험에 의한 수소배관용 고질소 스테인리스강의 내수소취성 평가 연구 (Investigation on Resistance to Hydrogen Embrittlement of High Nitrogen Austenitic Steels for Hydrogen Pipe by the Disc Pressure Test and the Tensile Test on Hydrogen Pre-charged Specimens)

  • 본 연구에서는 디스크와 인장시험 등을 통해 수소취성에 대한 재료 특성을 평가하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 니켈 당량이 28.5 이상인 합금 조성과, 이와 유사한 상용 합금 조성 2종에 대해 합금을 제조하였고, 각 합금은 진공유도용해로(Vacuum Induction Melting, VIM)에서 개발 합금(이하 #1)과 상용 배관(이하 각각 #2, #3)을 재용해하여 주조재로 제조하였고, 주조 합금은 단조 및 압연하여 판재로 제조하였다. 디스크형태의 시편은 0.1~1000 bar/min의 속도로 수소와 헬륨으로 가압하여 파열압력을 측정하여 수소에 대한 특성을 평가하였고, 전기화학적 방법으로 수소처리한 인장시편과 비교군에 대해 항복강도, 인장강도, 연신률, 단면적 감소율을 확인하였다. 또한 인장시편은 주사전사현미경을 통해 파단면을 확인하였다. 디스크파열시험과 수소처리 한 시편의 인장시험을 통해, 본 연구를 통해 개발된 강종의 경우 상용 강종과 비교하여 유사한 수소취성 특성을 갖고 있음을 확인하였고, 파단면 또한 미세한 두께의 벽개파괴 특성을 보였지만 기계적 강도에 큰 영향을 미치지 않음에 따라 개발된 고질소 스테인리스강은 내수소취성이 우수한 것으로 평가 할 수 있었다.

개질 폴리에틸렌 코팅 강관의 부착 및 체결부 성능 평가 연구 (Experimental Study on the Adhesion and Performance Evaluation of Joints for Modified Polyethylene Coated Steel Pipes)

  • 본 연구에서는 강관의 효율적 유지관리를 위한 모니터링 시스템 개발 연구의 일환으로 개질 폴리에틸렌 코팅 처리된 강관의 성능 평가를 위한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 기존 방식인 기계적 전처리 코팅의 경우 확관시 폴리에틸렌 부착이 저하되는 현상이 발생하여 이를 해결하고자 칼슘 혼입 인산 아연 피막을 활용한 화학적 전처리 공정이 적용되었다. SEM 및 EDX 분석결과, Zn/Ca 비 1.0에서 가장 치밀한 구조가 확인되었다. 또한, 확관 시의 코팅 이탈 방지를 위한 그라프트 처리 무수말레산을 기반으로 엘라스토머, 금속산화물, 블로킹방지제, 슬립제를 각기 다른 조합으로 혼입하여 개질된 폴리에틸렌 코팅 강관에 대한 부착 및 연신율 평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 모든 개질 재료를 혼입한 시험체(S4)에서 금속산화물만 혼입한 시험체(S2)대비 25% 이상 향상된 성능을 확인하였다. 마지막으로, 공정이 완료된 코팅 파이프에 대하여 표면부 코팅 손상 방지를 위한 파이프 고정 부속 일부인 쐐기형 소켓링과 이탈 방지 압륜을 개발하고 성능평가를 수행하였다.

동해 석회암과 SIG 고결체의 강도특성 (The Characteristic of Strength for a Lime Stone in Donghae Area and Harden Cement Milk of Super Injection Grouting)

  • Limestone zone in korea have been distributed to diagonal line so that it is wide from the Gangwondo to the Jeonlanamdo. The limestone cavity and fractured zone were formed by chemical weathering. Limestone cavity and fractured zone was reinforced with cemented milk(w/c=60%)by high pressure jet grouting by tripple -pipe to establish bridge foundation on the ground condition like limestone cavity. To analyze property of limestone and solid of cement milk(w/c=65%), mixed solid of cement, core NX size in the limestone cavity and fractured zone and compressive strength. Seismic tomograpy exploration was pcrforn1cd to analyze deformation modulus of limestone. The analysis suggests that deformation modulus of limestone has effect on uniaxial compressive strength, seismic velocity, seismic elasticity modulus. Average static elasticity modulus of limestone is $5.08{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2$, cement and coal mixed solid is $0.25{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2$, $0.095{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2$. Average seismic velocity of limestone is 5.240m/sec, cement and coal mixed solid is 2,211.3m/sec, 1,447.5m/sec. Average uniaxial compressive strength of limestone was $1,221.3kgf/cm^2$ and limestone specimen mixed with cement milk and solid of cement milk mixed with coal were $125.22kgf/cm^2$, $35kgf/cm^2$ each other. Average friction angle of limestone was $49.14^{\circ}$ and limestone specimen mixed with cement milk and solid of cement milk mixed with coal were $38.39^{\circ}, 25.83^{\circ}$ each other. Average cohesion of limestone was $137.7kgf/cm^2$ and limestone specimen mixed with cement milk and solid of cement milk mixed with coal were $23.5kgf/cm^2$, $15.5kgf/cm^2$ each other. Average deformation modulus of limestone was $2.84{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2$ and limestone specimen mixed with cement milk and solid of cement milk mixed with coal were $0.4{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2, 0.12{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2$ each other. It was analyzed that the elasticity and uniaxial compressive strength, seismic velocity of solid of cement milk mixed limestone pieces and coal had an highly interrelation regardless of existence of limestones pieces and coal but it had shown that limestones had an lower interrelation. In case of field seismic velocity and deformation of limestone, SIC solid of cement milk mixed with coal and limestone pieces had an highly interrelation.

구리의 내식성에 미치는 어닐링 열처리의 영향 (Effect of Annealing Heat Treatment to Corrosion Resistance of a Copper)

  • Copper is a well known alloying element that is used to improve the resistance to general corrosion of stainless steel And also Cu cation have the anti-fouling effect to inhibit adhesion of the marine algae and shellfish to the surface of heat exchanger cooling pipe or outside wall of the ship, Therefore there are some anti-fouling methods such as anti-fouling Paint mixed with copper oxide or MGPS(Marine Growth Preventing System) by using Cu cation dissolved to the sea wather solution. Cu cation can be dissolved spontaneously by galvanic current due to Potential difference between Cu and cooling pipe of heat exchanger with Ti material, which may be one of the anti-fouling designs. In this study the effect of annealing heat treatment to galvanic current and Polarization behavior was investigated with a electrochemical points of view such as measurement of corrosion Potential, anodic polarization curve. cyclic voltammetric curve, galvanic current etc The grain size of the surface in annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ was the smallest than that of other annealing temperatures. and also the corrosion Potential showed more positive potential than other annealing temperatures. The galvanic current between Ti and Cu with annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ was the largest value in the case of static condition. However its value in the case of flow condition was the smallest than the other temperatures. Therefore in order to increase anti-fouling effect by Cu cation, the optimum annealing temperature in static condition of sea water is $700^{\circ}C$, however non- heat treated specimen in the case of flow condition may be desirable.
