Analysis on the Cooling Characteristics of a Channel with Pin-Fin Structure (핀-휜 구조물을 이용한 채널의 냉각특성 해석)

  • Recent trends in the electronic equipment indicate that the power consumption and heat generation in a chip increase as the components are miniaturized and the computing speed becomes faster. Suitable heat dissipation is required to ensure the guaranteed performance and reliable operation of the electronic devices. The aim of the present study is to investigate the forced-convective thermal-hydraulic characteristics of a pin-fin heat exchanger as a candidate for cooling system of the electronic devices. The influence of the structure of the pin-fin assembly on heat transfer is investigated by porous medium model. The results are compared with the experimental data or correlations of several researchers for the heat transfer coefficients for the channel flow with pin-fin arrays. Finally, the effects of design parameters such as the pin-fin diameter and the spacing are examined.

  • 대부분의 온라인 전자거래업체는 사용자의 신원을 확인하기 위해 주민등록번호를 요구하고 있다. 그러나 최근 발생하고 있는 대규모 개인정보 유출사고 등으로 주민등록번호가 노출되는 사례가 빈번하며, 주민등록정보를 타인이 도용하여도 효과적으로 확인 및 제어하는 수단이 없다는 문제가 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 주민번호대체수단이 제안되었으나, 최근 공공 i-PIN 과 민간 i-PIN 으로 구분되는 기술들의 연동 문제로 인해 적극적인 도입이 우려되는 상황이다. 따라서 본 논문은 최소한의 수정으로 이들 주민번호대체수단이 연동할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 기존의 민간 i-PIN 연동 프로토콜을 공공 i-PIN 에 적용하며 프로토콜 간의 연동 모듈을 두어 각 프로토콜을 처리한다. 제안된 기술은 공공 i-PIN 에 적용되어 현재 전국적으로 구축 중이다.

Effect of the Pin Radius on the Radiation Characteristics of a Patch Antenna with an Array of Pins Interconnecting the Patch and the Ground (패치와 접지면 사이에 삽입된 핀 배열을 가지는 안테나의 방사특성에 핀 반경이 미치는 효과)

  • Patch antennas with an array of pins interconnecting the patch and the ground (Pin array patch antennas) are fabricated and their characteristics are measured. The radiation characteristics of pin array patch antennas are compared to those of conventional patch antennas. The suppressions of the radiation in horizontal directions in E-plane and H-plane are more than 10 dB and 4 dB, respectively. The forward radiation is increased, while the backward radiation is decreased. The directivity is improved because the half-power beamwidth of radiation patterns in both E-plane and H-plane is reduced. The resonance frequency of a pin array patch antenna increases as the pin radius of a pin amy patch antenna increases. An optimum pin radius of a pin array patch antenna exists for the maximum suppression of the radiation in horizontal directions.

  • The molybdenum cup and molybdenum pin, which are the main materials of the molybdenum electrode used for the LCD BLU CCFL electrode, did not been developed in Japan and all of them are imported and used from Japan, is giving a competitive burden. In this research, to develop the manufacturing technology of molybdenum pin used for CCFL electrode of LCD BLU, development of linear processing technology, development of molybdenum wire surface treatment technology, development of wire cutting technology, production of molybdenum pin, design and fabrication of JIG and Fixture for inspection, molybdenum pin prototyping and analysis, and development of 100% molybdenum pin inspection technology. In this paper, especially, research on design and manufacturing of JIG and Fixture for molybdenum pin manufacturing and inspection is treated.

THE ACCURACY ACCORDING TO THE VARIOUS DOWEL PINS OF WORKING CAST WITH REMOVABLE DIES (가철성 다이를 가진 작업모형에서 다우엘 핀의 종류에 따른 정확도에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, 4 types of dowel pin were used to fabricate removable dies using the Pindex system. The comparison of interabutment distances between before and after sawing were conducted in each type of dowel pin, and the horizontal discrepancies in the interabutment distance according to the abutment location and the type of dowel pin were comparatively analyzed. Abutments LM(left molar), LP(left premolar), A(anterior), RP(right premolar), and RM (right molar) were used for measurement. The interabutment distances were measured between each abutment : LM-LP, LM-A, LM-RP, and LM-RM. The slide scanned image of each model was magnified on the computer screen and the measurements were conducted using the meeting point of the cross on the occlusal surface of each abutment. The results were as follows : 1. In the comparison of interabutment distances between before and after sawing in each type of dowel pin, there was no significant difference in World dowel pin(double), Bi-pin(double), Maxcel dowel pin(single). In the World dowel pin(single) there was no significant difference between LM-LPs, but in the other measurements (LM-As, LM-RPs, and LM-RMs) there was significant difference between before and after sawing(p<0.05). 2. In comparison of horizontal discrepancies of the measurement according to the abutment location, there was significant difference between measurement LM-LP($0.27{\pm}0.19mm$) and the others : LM-A($0.46{\pm}0.20mm$), LM-RP($0.38{\pm}0.25mm$), LM-RM($0.45{\pm}0.22mm$) (p<0.05). 3. In comparison of horizontal discrepancies of the measurement according to the type of dowel, there was no significant difference between each dowel. As a result when fabricating a removable die using the previously mentioned 4 types of dowel pins, it is thought that the horizontal discrepancy increased in proportion to the interabutment span length and does not depend on the type of dowel pin.

  • In this paper, the analytic design technique for a planar PIN diode limiter is presented rather than the conventional design heavily relying on the experiments. The novel analysis fur the PIN diode limiter shows the leakage is composed of two kinds of leakages and the relationship between the leakages and the PIN diode parameters. The designed limiter consists of 3 stages; the front two stages with two PM diodes and the final stage with Schottky diode pair. The fabricated limiter shows the insertion loss of 0.8 dB for the small input power, spike leakage of 12 Bm, flat leakage of 12 dBm for the 20 W RF power.

Study of the Damage Property of a Contacted Indent by Finite Element Method (유한요소해석에 의한 압입 접촉손상 특성 연구)

  • Lightweight parts with very uniform precision are manufactured by an indent method and the press technique has been improved. Upon assembly with an indent method, a deformation force due to the compressive force occurs between the pin and hole and the contact surface is affected by damage. Therefore, a 3 dimensional model was made using the CATIA program and the damage on the surface contacted with indent was estimated through the ANSYS program in this study. In the analysis result, the maximum load applied at the PCB plate was 21.3 N when the pin goes through the PCB plate. When PCB plate came out of the pin, the maximum load was 19.24 N. As the structural analysis result, the maximum equivalent stress of Pin 1 was 192.96MPa because the maximum stress occurs at Pin 1 among all parts of this study model. By examining the damage property of the contacted indent and applying this study result to the design of real indentation, the damage can be prevented and the durability can be estimated.

  • This paper shows mechanical Properties and behaviors of macrostructures for specimens welded by F.S.W according to welding conditions and tool dimensions with $6.35mm_t$ aluminum 7075-T651 alloy plate. It apparently results in defect-free weld zone in case transition speed was changed to 15mm/min 61mm/min and 124mm/min under conditions of tool rotation speed such as 800rpm. 1250rpm and 1600rpm respectively with tool's Pin diameter 40mm and 60mm. The optimum mechanical property, ultimate stress,${\sigma}_Y=470Mpa$ is obtained at the condition of 124mm/min of travel speed with 800rpm of tool rotation speed using full screw type pin. shoulder dia. $20{\phi}mm$ pin dia. $6{\phi}mm$ and pin length 6mm. The full-screw type and the half-screw type pin shows the similar behaviors of weldability. It is found that the size of nugget is depended on tool transition speed and tool dimension by macrostructures of the cross section of weld zone.

Failure Analysis and Weibull Statistical Analysis according to Impact Test of the Angular Pin for Injection Molding Machines (사출금형기계용 앵귤러핀의 충격시험에 따른 파손분석과 와이블 통계 해석)

  • In this study, failure analysis of the angular pin for molding machines to aluminum component molding was carried out. SM45C steel was used for the angular pin, it was surface hardened by the induction surface hardening heat treatment. The cross section of damaged angular pin was observed, and micro Vickers hardness value from the fractured part was measured. Brittle fracture was occurred from the fracture surface of angular pin, therefore, impact toughness value was evaluated by V-notch Charpy impact test. It was confirmed that the impact absorption energy was high when was tempered at a high temperature for a long time, and the toughness was slightly increased. Also, 2-parameter Weibull statistical analysis was investigated in order to evaluate the reliability of the measured micro Vickers hardness values and absorbed energy. The micro Vickers hardness and absorbed energy well followed a two-parameter Weibull probability distribution, respectively. The reverse design against angular pin was proposed as possible by using test results.

  • Because of the development of IPTV, user is provided service of multimedia data regardless the location. But the number of users who try to get service of IPTV game illegally is also increasing. In this paper, user authentication protocol in IPTV housing using PIN code not to access easily for teenagers not to access to prohibited games. The proposed protocol combines authority data in IPTV household and creates a disposable password using PIN code to prevent teenagers from accessing illegally to the prohibited games and saves the data in certification server and set-top box to prevent forced accessing.
