지지지반의 종류별 SDA매입말뚝의 선단지지력 산정 (Estimation of End Bearing Capacity of SDA Augered Piles on Various Hearing Stratums)

  • SDA매입말뚝의 지지성능이 잘 발휘될 수 있는 표준시공법에 대한 매뉴얼을 정리하여 제시하였다. 또한 전국 33개 현장에서 SDA매입공법으로 시공한265개 시험말뚝에 대하여 405회의 동재하시험과 30회의 정재하시험을 시행하였다. 말뚝재하시험 결과 SDA매입말뚝의 선단지지력은 지층의 조건에 따라 차이가 있었으며 여러 설계기준에 제시된 기존의 지지력 산정식으로 산정한 값과 차이가 있었다. 말뚝재하시험 결과에 근거하여 지지지반의 종류별로 SDA매입말뚝의 단위선단지지력을 정량적으로 계산할 수 있는 네 개의 식을 제안하였다. 토사층과 풍화암반에 지지되는 말뚝의 단위선단지지력은 표준관입시험의 N치와의 상관식으로 나타낼 수 있었으며, 기반암 위의 단위선단지지력은 1500 $tf/m^2$ 이상 되는 것으로 나타났다. 이들 제안식을 기존의 표준시방서에 제시되어 매입말뚝설계에 적용되는 기존의 식들과 비교 고찰하였다. 이들 제안식을 사용하기 위해서는 표준관입시험의 정밀도를 높여야하며, 현장에서 시험시공과 재하시험을 시행하는 것이 바람직하다.

슬래그 다짐말뚝의 원심모델링 (Centrifuge Modelling of Slag Compaction Pile)

  • This paper is experimental and numerical research results of performing centrifuge model tests to investigate the geotechnical engineering behavior of slag compaction pile as a substitute of sand compaction pile. In order to find the geotechnical engineering characteristics of the soft clay and the slag used in centrifuge model experiments, basic soil property tests, consolidation test, permeability tests and triaxial compression tests were performed. For centrifuge model tests, slags with changing relative density were used and their bearing capacity, stress concentrations in between pile and soft clay, settlement characteristics, and failure modes were investigated. As a results of centrifuge model tests, it was found that the bearing, capacity of model was increased with increasing density of slag pile and general shear failures were occured. Miniature soil pressure gauges were installed on model pile and soft ground respectively and thus vertical stress acting on them were measured. Stress concentration ratio was found to be in the range of 2.0~3.0. Bearing capacity obtained from the model test with slag was greater than that from the model test with a sand having the identical layout to each other. Thus it was confirmed the slag was an appropriate substitution of pile for sand.

중구경 현장타설말뚝의 지지력 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Bearing Capacity of Drilled Shaft with Mid-size)

  • 본 연구에서는 중구경 현장타설말뚝의 활성화를 위하여, 말뚝재하시험을 이용한 지지력 특성을 평가하였으며, 그 결과를 설계지지력 예측방법과 비교하였다. 정재하시험 결과, 말뚝의 강도가 높은 경우에 낮은 강도에 비하여 약 2.4배 수준의 허용지지력을 나타내는 것으로 평가되었고, 동재하시험 결과에서는 높은 말뚝 강도의 경우가 낮은 경우보다 약 1.4배~1.5배 수준의 허용지지력을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 정재하시험과 동재하시험의 허용지지력에 대한 비교 결과, 동일한 침하량 조건에서는 그 차이가 3%~6% 범위를 나타내었다. 그리고 재하시험 결과와 설계지지력 예측방법을 이용한 지지력 산정결과를 비교한 결과, 선단지지력 및 주면마찰력에 대한 하중분담율에 있어서, FHWA 제안식이 보다 합리적인 예측이 가능한 것으로 확인되었다.

  • In this study, static end loading tests with load transfer measurement were accomplished for large diameter drilled shaft constructed in fault zone. Yield pile capacity (or ultimate pile capacity) from load-settlement curve was determined and axial load transfer behavior was measurd. The end bearing capacity was increased 2 times due to grouting the toe ground under pile base.

  • The existing methods for installation of long steel pipe pile have some uneconomical problems such as increase of installation cost and period due to the welding of two piles and removal of soil plug, and decrease of driving efficiency due to the increase of driving resistance by time effect during the welding of piles and removal of soil plug, etc. Thus, in this study, new installation method for long steel pipe pile is suggested to work out the existing problems, and calibration chamber tests are peformed to investigate both driving and economical efficiency for the suggested method. The test results showed that the new installation method has increase bearing capacity as well as reduce installation cost and period for long steel pipe piles as compared with existing methods.

모래다짐말뚝의 원심모델링 (Centrifugal Modeling of Sand Compaction Pile)

  • This paper is results of extensive centrifuge model experiments about design factors influencing the bearing capacity and the settlement behaviors of SCP (Sand Compaction Pile). Centrifuge model tests were carried out changing design factors for SCP method such as replacement area ratio (as= 20, 40, 70%), improvement ratio to footing width (W/B = 1, 2, 3), and amount of fines in sand pile (#200 = 5, 10, 15). Therefore, the effects of these design factors on the bearing capacity and the settlement behavior of SCP were investigated and changes of stress concentratio rato due to such an design factors were also investigated. Centrifuge model testing technique for preparing and installing centrifuge model of sand compaction pile, using freezing them, was also developed. As results of centrifuge model tests, more fines in sand compaction pile increases the bearing capacity of SCP. Optimum improvement ratio to footing width was found to be 2. Values of stress concentration ratio was in the ranges of 1.5 - 3.5. The depth of bulging in sand piles was found in the range of 2.0 - 2.5 times of pile diameter.

매입말뚝의 선단지지력 증대를 위한 강관 부착 PHC파일 개발 (Development of Steel Pipe Attached PHC Piles for Increasing Base Load Capacity of Bored Pre-cast Piles)

  • PHC파일을 사용한 매입말뚝은 시공 중에 발생하는 소음과 진동을 최소화할 수 있다는 장점 때문에 많은 경우 도심지에 건설되는 건축구조물의 기초로 사용된다. 그러나 매입말뚝의 시공을 위해 굴착공을 천공하는 과정에서 굴착공 저면에 슬라임이 형성되고 그 하부의 지반은 응력이완으로 인해 조밀도가 느슨해져서 매입말뚝은 원지반의 강도에 비해 선단지지력이 작게 발휘된다는 단점을 갖고 있다. 본 연구에서는 매입말뚝의 선단지지력을 증대시키기 위해 PHC파일의 선단에 길이가 짧고 PHC파일과 직경이 동일한 강관을 부착한 새로운 형태의 PHC파일을 개발하였다. 새로운 PHC파일을 사용한 매입말뚝의 선단지지력 증대 효과를 검증하기 위해 현장 말뚝재하시험을 수행한 결과 새로운 PHC파일은 경타에 의해 파일 선단이 굴착공 저면의 슬라임과 그 하부의 이완된 지지층 영역을 관통해서 강도가 큰 원지반에 관입됨으로써 기존 PHC파일보다 매입말뚝의 선단지지력을 상당히 증대시키는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Despite of the increasing number of the application of the drilled shaft pile in construction site, most of the study of pile capacity has been centered side shear resistance. But it is common that the drilled shaft is socketed on the rock so as to use the bearing resistance, so prediction of the toe's movement and characteristic of the bearing capacity is important as the side shear resistance. Therefore the model tests were performed in order to study the characteristic of bearing capacity on rock mass. The material of the test blocks were the mortar which was mixed with sand, cement and water, and test block size was $240{\times}240{\times}240mm$. Load was pressed by the 45mm of diameter of miniaturized pile and plate jack and steal plate were used to the confined stress for representing the underground condition. The relation of load-displacement was measured in many different conditions of rock mass such as direction of discontinuities, spacing and strength, and q-w curves of the toe of the pile were verified in each condition.

But it is common that the drilled shaft is socketed on the rock so as to use its bearing resistance. The prediction of the end movement and characteristics of the bearing capacity of the pile is great important as well. Therefore, a series of scaled model tests were carried out in order to study the characteristics of the bearing capacity on rock mass. The material of the test block was cement mortar which was mixed with sand, cement and water, and the size of a test block size was $240{\times}240{\times}240mm$. The axial load was applied by a miniaturized pile of 45mm in diameter and flat jacks and steel plate were used for confinement to simulate the real underground loading conditions. The relation of load-displacement was measured in various different conditions of rock mass such as strength, discontinuity of the rock mass and in-situ stress, so q-w curves of the end of the pile were presented for each condition.
