초음파 절삭기 핸드피스부 제작 및 변위 특성 시뮬레이션 (Fabrication and Simulation of Displacement Properties of Ultrasonic Generator Handpiece)

  • Ultrasonic wave technologies have been widely used in ultrasonic washing machines, ultrasonic surgery, ultrasonic welding machines, ultrasonic sensors, and medical instruments. Ultrasonic surgery can be realized through the cavitation effect of ultrasonic waves. In this study, piezoelectric ceramics were manufactured to achieve the optimum design of a piezoelectric vibrator in a handheld generator for ultrasonic surgery. The best specimen showed the excellent piezoelectric properties of kp=0.624, Qm=1,531, and $d_{33}=356pC/N$. Numerical modeling based on the finite element method was performed to find the resonance frequency, the anti-resonance frequency, and the displacement properties of the handheld ultrasonic generator. Maximum displacement was observed in the six-step piezoelectric vibrator at $6.36{\mu}m$.

  • Multilayer step down piezoelectric transformers were manufactured using PZN-PMN-PZT and PMN-PNN-PZT ceramics respectively. Sintering temperature of the ceramics was $940^{\circ}C$. And then. their electrical properties were investigated according to the variations of frequency and load resistance. The voltage step-up ratio of multilayer piezoelectric transformer showed the maximum values in the vicinity of 69 and 71kHz, respectively. At the load resistance of $100{\Omega}$, the piezoelectric transformers showed the temperature rises of about 21 and $18^{\circ}C$ at the output power of 15W and 18W, respectively. At the transformer with high effective electromechanical coupling factor($k_{eff}$), lower temperature increase was appeared.

  • This paper deals with the development of a contact-type counting device using a piezoelectric polymer film as a sensor. The piezoelectric and vibration characteristics of the film under a bending vibration were investigated theoretically and experimentally. A counting device, which includes filters, an amplifier, an analog-digital converter, and a display, was designed and fabricated. The performance of the piezoelectric polymer sensor was evaluated in the sense of the responses to contact force, contact frequency, and contact speed. The life and the temperature effect were also investigated for the piezoelectric film sensor.

  • The piezoelectric transformers of 2.0x10x48 ㎣ size were fabricated with PSN-PMN-PZT(T10 and PNW-PMN-PZT(T2) composition ceramics. Effects of micro structural and piezoelectric properties on the electrical characteristics of the piezoelectric transformers were investigated. Under the fixed output power of 6 W, temperature rise of T1 transformer at the optimum load was smaller than T2 one because of fine grain size effect. Voltage step-up ratio of T1 transformer showed higher value than T2 one T1 transformer showed an excellent properties with voltage step-up ratio of 12.41, efficiency of 95.23% and temperature rise of 7.2$^{\circ}C$ at 200㏀ load resistance. And also, T2 transformer showed an excellent properties with voltage step up ratio of 9.81, efficiency of 95.51% and temperature rise of 9$^{\circ}C$ at 150㏀ load resistance.

수동/능동적 방법을 혼용한 압전지능패널의 광대역 전달 소음저감성능 (Transmitted Noise Reduction of Piezoelectric Smart Panels using Passive/Active Method in Wide Range frequency)

  • 압전재료를 이용한 지능패널의 전달음 저감성능을 실험적으로 연구하였다. 제안된 압전지능패널은 압전 감지기와 작동기가 부착되어 있는 주구조물에 흡음재가 한 쪽면에 부착된 구조이다. 이는 저주파에서 능동적 방법과 고주파에서 수동적방법을 혼용한 개념이다. 이 개념을 증명하기 위하여 음향실험을 수행하였다. 음향실험을 위하여 음향터널을 설계, 제작하여 음향특성을 실험하였다. 음향 특성실험을 통하여 800 Hz가지 평면파특성을 나타내었다. 단일패널에 흡음재를 부착한 지능패널은 첫번째 공진주파수영역을 제외한 중주파수영역에서 뚜렸한 소음저감성능을 나타내었다. 첫번째 공진주파수에 대하여 반전회로를 이용한 능동제어를 수행하여 약 10 dB소음저감을 이루었다. 또한, 공기층을 갖는 이중지능패널에 대한 실험을 통하여 공진주파수에서 뿐만 아니라 넓은 영역에서 좋은 소음저감성능을 보였다. 수동적 방법과 능동적 방법을 혼용한 압전지능패널은 넓은 주파수 영역에서의 소온저감대책으로 유망한 기술이다.

공기 매질에 의한 압전 세라믹스의 분극효과 (Poling Effect on Piezoeletric Ceramics for Air Medium)

  • A new method for the poling of piezoelectric ceramics with an air insulation medium in stead of silicon oil is described. A similar variation of electromechanical coupling coefficient $K_t$, for an air medium is observed in comparison to that of the material poled by the conventional poling method using a silicon oil medium. Different poling parameters such as dielectric constant $\varepsilon^T$ and frequency deviation ${\Delta}f$ are studied as well as the influence on the aging effect. The required poling factors to achieve the optimal piezoelectric characteristics are electric field, 2 kV/mm, temperature $100^{\circ}C$, and poling time 30 Min. From this result electric field 3 kV/mm atmosphere airs there being will be able to use with the polarization insulation medium about the piezoelectric material, confirmed.

  • This paper reports the fluid flow and heat transfer around a module cooled by forced air flow generated by a piezoelectric(PZT) cooling fan. A flexible PZT fan with distortion in a fluid transport system of comparatively simple structure which was mounted on a PCB in a parallel-plate channel($450{\times}80{\times}700mm^3$) accelerates surrounding fluid locally. Input voltages of 20-100V and a resonance frequency of 23Hz were used to vibrate the cooling fan. Input power to the module was 4W. The cooling effect using a PZT fan was larger than that of free convection. Fluid flow around the module were visualized by using PIV system. The temperature distribution around heated module were visualized by using liquid crystal film(LCF). We found that the flow type was y-shaped and the cooling effect was increased by the wake generated by a piezoelectric cooling fan.

The effect of different functionalities of FGM and FGPM layers on free vibration analysis of the FG circular plates integrated with piezoelectric layers

  • The present paper deals with the free vibration analysis of the functionally graded solid and annular circular plates with two functionally graded piezoelectric layers at top and bottom subjected to an electric field. Classical plate theory (CPT) is used for description of the all deformation components based on a symmetric distribution. All the mechanical and electrical properties except Poisson's ratio can vary continuously along the thickness direction of the plate. The properties of plate core can vary from metal at bottom to ceramic at top. The effect of non homogeneous index of functionally graded and functionally graded piezoelectric sections can be considered on the results of the system. $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ modes of natural frequencies of the system have been evaluated for both solid and annular circular plates, individually.

  • This study presents an investigation of the characteristics of piezoelectric sensors whose main utilization is to measure impact pressure. The piezoelectric sensors were tested from several points of view. Their characteristics were investigated for repeatability, the effect of the diameter, temperature effect, water purity, flush mounting, and AC and DC coupling. Out of these, it was revealed that the temperature effect is very significant. The characteristics of the AC and DC coupling are also very important in understanding the time history of the impact pressure.
