수치 모델에 따른 압전 구동방식 마이크로 펌프의 유동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flow Characteristics of Piezoelectric Micropumps with Different Numerical Models)

  • A numerical analysis has been conducted for flow characteristics of piezoelectric micropumps. In the present study, FSI (Fluid-Structure Interaction) model and grid deform model have been employed for each of two different geometries of the micropumps with two different frequencies in the piezoelectric diffuser/nozzle based micropumps. The displacement of piezo disk and flow rates have been closely examined at the inlet and outlet. It has been found that the motion of the piezo disk investigated with FSI model is not in accordance with that with grid deform model. The results show that the time averaged flow rate calculated with FSI model is larger than that with grid deform model. This study presents the performance analysis of piezoelectric micropumps with two different numerical models for different types of pumps.

Bimorph 피에조 소자를 이용한 빔 회전 구동기의 개발 (The Development of the Beam Rotating Actuator Based on the Bimorph Piezo Material)

  • The beam rotating actuator, which can be utilized to improve the data transfer rate for the optical disk systems, has been developed. It can employ a newly developed laser beam rotating actuator for putting multi-beam spots on more than one track on the optical disk simultaneously. Therefore, It has to maintain up to .+-.0.01 .deg. resolution and high bandwidth performance. In this these, the Dove prism is used for the beam rotating actuator based on bimorph piezo material. The performance of the beam rotating actuator is verified since the dynamics ferquency performance is measured using the dynamic analyzer and the attached stain gage sensor. the beam rotating angle performance is also examined since the long range beam reflection character is utilized.

  • This paper presents design and analysis of step-down piezoelectric transformer for application to AC-adapters. These transformers are consist of rectangular type and disk type multilayered piezoelectric ceramic plate. This piezoelectric transformer operated in third thickness resonance vibration mode. Finite element methode(FEM) was used for analysing transformer. Vibration mode and electric field of piezoelectric transformer were simulated at resonance frequency. As results, rectangular type transformer's output voltage was higher than the disk type. But disk type transformer's current was lagger than rectangular type. These results are assumed that disk type transformer's mixed vibration mode influence transformer's output characteristics. From these results, we expect that disk type piezoelectric transformer is more adoptable than rectangular plate type piezoelectric transformer for AC adapters.

  • This paper presents design and analysis of multi-layered ring-dot type piezoelectric transformer. These transformers are useful for step up and step down. The transformers consist of disk type multi-layered piezoelectric ceramic plates. The finite element method(FEM) was used for analysis transformer. Vibration mode, electric field and equivalent elastic strain of piezoelectric transformer were simulated by changing frequency. As results, the strain was distributed in isolation part entirely. We can get the operated in step up transformer when the inner side electrode using by input parts. Also we can get the step down transformers using by input Part as outer side electrode. The step up ratio and step down ratio was increased by decreasing inner side electrode. The resonance frequency was increased by increasing inner side electrode when the transformer was operated in step down transformer. But the step up one was decreased. From these results, we can expect to multi-layered ring-dot type piezo transformers as step up and step down transformers.

  • A numerical analysis has been conducted for flow characteristics and performance of a micropump with piezodisk and MHD(Magnetohydrodynamics) fluid. Various micro systems which could not be considered in the past have been recently growing with the development of MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical System) and micro machining technology. Especially, micropumps, essential part of micro fluidic devices, are being lively studies by many researchers. In the present study, the piezo electric micropump with electromagnetic resistance for electrically conducting fluids is considered. The prescribed grid deformation method is used for the displacement of the membrane. The change of the performance of the micropump and flow characteristics of the electrically conducting fluid with the magnitude of the magnetic fields, duct size, the position of the inlet and outlet duct are investigated in the present study.

  • This study has been conducted to investigate pumping characteristics of diffuser/nozzle based piezoelectric micropumps. The micropumps include a piezo disk (an actuator), a chamber and a set of diffuser and nozzle. Flow in the current micropumps is controlled by a set of diffuser and nozzle, not by a nap valve. The diffuser/nozzle based micropumps are more reliable in operation and are easier in manufacturing than the flap valve based micropumps. The flow rates of the piezoelectric micropumps have been closely analyzed with a numerical calculation. It has been found that the positions of the inlet and outlet of the micropump can influence the performance of the diffuser/nozzle based piezoelectric micropumps. This study may provide fundamental understanding for the design and analysis of the piezoelectric micropumps.

  • 록볼트는 숏크리트와 함께 지하구조물의 주지보재로써 중요한 역할을 수행한다. 따라서 록볼트에 발생된 공동결함은 지하구조물의 안정성에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 최근 록볼트 건전도 평가를 위한 비파괴 검사 방법들 중 피에조 디스크 엘리먼트와 음향방출센서를 사용하는 유도초음파의 투과법과 반사법이 우수한 결과를 보여 주었다. 하지만 피에조 디스크 엘리먼트에서 발생되는 파는 현장에 적용하기에 부족한 에너지의 크기를 가진다. 또한 투과법의 경우 현장에서 록볼트 시공시 피에조 디스크 엘리먼트를 철근 끝단에 설치하여 시공하여야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 충분한 에너지를 발생시킬 수 있는 유도초음파의 반사법을 개발하고 이를 현장에 시공된 록볼트의 건전도를 경가에 적용하는 것이다. 본 연구는 실내실험과 현장실험으로 수행되었다. 충분한 에너지를 갖는 유도초음파를 록볼트 두부에 자국정을 대고 해머로 타격하여 발생시켰으며, 이를 음향방출센서로 수신하였다. 측정된 신호의 분석을 위해 웨이브렛 변환을 이용하였다. 웨이브렛 변환의 최고점으로부터 에너지 속도를 산정하여 록볼트의 건전도를 평가하였다. 유도초음파의 에너지 속도는 실내에 설치된 록볼트 실험체와 현장에 시공된 록볼트의 결함비율이 증가함에 따라 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 해머 타격방법이 현장에서 록볼트 건전도 평가에 유용한 방법이 될 수 있음을 보여 준다.

다중 광선을 이용한 광 시스템의 광선 회전기 (Beam Rotator of Optical System Based on Multi-Beam)

  • The beam rotating actuator has been developed. It can be utilized to improve the data transfer rate for the optical disk systems, Newly developed laser beam rotating actuator is applied to put multi-beam spots on more than one track on the optical disk simultaneously. The beam rotating actuator is made of piezoelectric ceramic bimorph as the form of cantilever, Piezoelectric actuators with high resolution, high stiffness and fast frequency response are widely assembled in micropositioning applications. Therefore, the actuator has above 50Hz natural frequency. Beam array is rotated using the dove prism in the end of beamrotator. The dynamic equation of beam rotating actuator is derived theoretically. The actuator is designed on the ground of this analysis. The performance of the beam rotating actuator is verified as the dynamics frequency performance is measured using the dynamic analyzer and sensor.

  • 가진력의 영향을 평가하기 위해 이용되는 압전소자와 물체의 변형량을 분석하기 위해 사용되는 광섬유 센서와 변형 게이지는 각종 시험과 실험에 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 케이블 시스템에서 발생한 손상을 검토하기 위해 압전소자와 광섬유센서를 이용하였다. 케이블 시스템은 압축이나 휨이 발생하지 않고 막구조에서 단지 인장력을 분담한다. 그러나 기존의 안전진단법을 이용하여 케이블 시스템의 손상을 판단하는 것은 전체구조의 특이한 구조거동 등으로 검토하기 어렵다. 인장부재에서 케이블의 풀림과 할렬이 발생하면 진동을 유발하기 때문에 압전소자를 케이블의 손상을 검토하기 위해 이용하였으며, 이를 광섬유 센서를 이용한 실험의 결과와 비교하였다. 본 연구는 인장응력 하에 케이블 시스템의 손상을 검토하는 방법을 제안하기 위한 실험적 연구이다.

  • In this paper, vibration suppression of a CD-ROM main base with piezoelectric shunt circuit is studied. Admittance is introduced to predict the performance of piezoelectric shunt damping. Numerical admittance obtained by commercial finite element code, ANSYS, correlates well with experimentally measured one. Multi-mode piezoelectric shunt damping is realized based on the target mode and frequencies obtained by the admittance analysis. Experimental results prove that admittance of the piezoelectric structure is capable of predicting the performance of piezoelectric shunt damping and the vibration of the main base with the piezoelectric patches is reduced effectively.
