광 픽업 장치의 $H_{\infty}$ 위치 서보제어 ($H_{\infty}$ Position Servo Control of Optical Pick-Ups)

  • Recently, high speed optical disk drives are increasingly demanded to read or write data fastly enough. To this end, both structure and controller designs of their optical pick-ups should be improved concurrently. In this paper, the pick-up during auto-focusing motion is mathematically modelled retaining all its peculiar features. The model turns out a linear time invariant system suitable for a control design method named H$_{\infty}$ which ensures robust stability in the presence of system uncertainties. Numerical simulation are performed to demonstrate the controller robustness with appropriate performance specifications being satisfied..

초음파유도 난포란 채취를 위한 기본 기술의 개발 II. 소의 마취방법과 채란기구의 개발 (Development of Basic Techniques for Ultrasound-guided Follicular Aspiration II. Anesthesic Methods and Development of a Disposable Simplified Needle Guidance System for Ovum Pick-up)

  • This experiment was carried out to develop the anesthetic methods for ultrasonography and a new simplified disposable needle guidance device for ovum pick-up(OPU) in cows. Three different anesthetic methods were applied as. 1) epidural analgesia only with 2% lidocaine(20~30 ml), 2) epidural analgesia with 2% under general sedation with xylazine, 3) epidural analgesia with 2% lidocaine under general sedation with detomidine. We evaluated the anesthetic effects with items such as relaxation of anal sphincter, tail movement and rectal wall, retractability of both ovaries, additional anesthesia and possibility of OPU. Through this experiment, the above three anesthetic methods were applicable to OPU, but the epidural anlagesia under general sedation with detomldine was most effective for OPU. We developed a new disposable needle guidance device with stainless steel tube. With this, disposable needles can be easily attatchable to any other intravaginal probes. And also, it was found to he practical, economic and effective for OPU with the recovery rate of 51.2%.

단일 허브를 이용한 시간 제약이 존재하는 수거 및 배달 차량 경로 문제 (Pick Up and Delivery Vehicle Routing Problem Under Time Window Using Single Hub)

  • After Dantzig and Rasmer introduced Vehicle Routing Problem in 1959, this field has been studied with numerous approaches so far. Classical Vehicle Routing Problem can be described as a problem of multiple number of homogeneous vehicles sharing a same starting node and having their own routes to meet the needs of demand nodes. After satisfying all the needs, they go back to the starting node. In order to apply the real world problem, this problem had been developed with additional constraints and pick up & delivery model is one of them. To enhance the effectiveness of pick up & delivery, hub became a popular concept, which often helps reducing the overall cost and improving the quality of service. Lots of studies have suggested heuristic methods to realize this problem because it often becomes a NP-hard problem. However, because of this characteristic, there are not many studies solving this problem optimally. If the problem can be solved in polynomial time, optimal solution is the best option. Therefore, this study proposes a new mathematical model to solve this problem optimally, verified by a real world problem. The main improvements of this study compared to real world case are firstly, make drivers visit every nodes once except hub, secondly, make drivers visit every nodes at the right time, and thirdly, make drivers start and end their journey at their own homes.

광 픽업 방식 형광스캐너를 이용한 미소유체 특성 분석 (Characterization of Microfluidic Channels using DVD Pick-up Fluorescent Scanner)

  • Microfluidics deals with the behavior, precise control and manipulation of fluids at a micro scale. It has become increasingly prevalent in various applications such as biomedical applications (diagnostics, therapeutics, and cell/tissue engineering), inkjet head, and fuel cells etc. The issue of inspection and characterization of microfluidics has emerged as a major consideration in design, fabrication, and detection of microfluidic devices. In this paper, we characterize a diffusion based mixing in Y-microchannel using a fluorescent optical scanner based on a DVD pick-up module, which is widely used in optical storages. Using fluorescent dye, we measure the fluorescent intensity that represents the mixing patterns in Y-microchannel. We also compare these experimental results with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation ones. It is shown that the proposed optical scanner can be used as an alternative measurement system with high performance and cost-effectiveness, compared to conventional optical tools such as epifluorescent microscopes using high resolution CCD camera and confocal microscopes with photomultiplier (PMT) detectors.

A Genetic Algorithm Based Approach to the Profitable Tour Problem with Pick-up and Delivery

  • As express courier market expands rapidly, companies are exposed to fierce competition. To cope with struggle for their survival, they are continuously making efforts to improve their service system. Even if most of service centers are directly linked to a consolidation terminal in courier service network, some of them with regional disadvantages are operated in milk run type from/to the consolidation terminal, which is a traditional PDP (Pick-up and Delivery Problem). This study suggests an approach to solve the PDP with the objective of maximizing the incremental profit, which belongs to PTP (Profitable Tour Problem) class. After the PTP is converted to TSP (Traveling Salesman Problem) with the same objective, a heuristic algorithm based on GA (Genetic Algorithm) is developed and examined through an example problem in practice of a courier service company in Korea.

  • 철도-공로 복합화물운송은 최초출발지에서 최종목적지까지 화물을 수송함에 있어 철도와 화물자동차를 연계하는 운송시스템이다. 철도-공로 복합화물운송에서 공로(화물자동차)의 역할은 집배송 기능으로 전체 운송과정의 경쟁력에 중요한 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 철도-공로 복합화물운송의 대표적 화물인 컨테이너를 대상으로 집배송 부분의 효율성을 제고시키기 위한 운송전략을 개발하고 평가하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 컨테이너트럭의 운송거리 최소화를 지향하는 전략과 고객에서의 대기시간 최소화를 주목적으로 하는 전략 등 2개의 집배송 개선전략이 개발되었다. 개발된 전략들은 파리수도권의 실제 집배송망에 적용되어 그 효율성이 비교, 평가되었다. 기존 집배송방식과의 시뮬레이션 비교결과 제안된 전략들이 다양한 성과지표에서 상당히 효율적임이 입증되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 선박용 비상 디젤 엔진 발전기 제어 및 모니터링을 위해 제안된 디지털 기반의 입/출력 인터페이스 회로를 소개한다. 선박용 비상 발전기의 동작 상태를 모니터링 하고 제어하기 위해 제어 및 감시 회로는 5개의 아날로그 입력 채널과 2개의 픽업(Pick-up) 코일 계측 회로, 브로컨 와이어(Broken Wire) 감지 기능을 가지는 10개의 디지털 입력 채널 및 7개의 릴레이 제어 신호 출력 채널이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 아날로그 입력 단에 간단한 필터 회로와 포토커플러, 비교기 회로를 이용하여 입력신호에 대한 신호처리를 수행하였으며, 중요한 릴레이 출력 신호들은 이중으로 단속될 수 있도록 설계하여 오동작을 철저히 방지하였다. 그리고 픽업코일 신호를 디지털 처리하는 회로를 적용하여 속도 신호 입력의 정확성을 향상 시켰다.

  • The effect of thermal deformation of optical pick-up due to laser diode(LD) and LD driving integrated circuit on the optical performance of digital versatile disk(DVD) optical system was analyzed using the finite element analysis with initial surface residual stress conditions, and results were compared with the measured results with holographic interferometry. Ray tracing was performed using the deformed configuration of optical system.

후판 압연공정에서의 판 선단부 형상제어 연구 (Ski-end shape control based on the model in heavy plate mill)

  • Studies on ski-end shape control at the top end of rolling plate in heavy thick plate mill by using FEM analysis and measuring system have been performed. Plate shape behaviour at the top-end on rolling by the two different methods in finishing rolling process has been observed. One is to minimize the height of ski-end by using pass line based on the relational model between shape factor and pick-up and the other one is to prevent turn down problem caused by the impact between table roller and down bended plate on rolling by using roll speed difference. To minimize the height of ski-end, the prediction models based on the FEM analysis and measuring data was developed. The control method of ski - end shape on finishing rolling process was applied in actual mill and the height of ski-end was reduced by about 50% compared with conventional operation.
