  • A cutting head is an attachment on the front of an excavator that cuts or grinds rocks. Cutting tools, called pick cutters, are arranged on the surface of the cutting head. The exact arrangement and configuration of pick cutters is one of the most important factors in determining grinding efficiency. This study focuses on the problem of automation for pick arrangement design, in order to make the design process more efficient and convenient. Design automation was carried out using RecurDyn/ProcessNet, and it was composed of three parts: 'Drum set', 'Pick load', and 'Pick arrangement' sections. The presented method helps to decrease costs attributed to designing cutting heads and can be used to generate a wide range of attachment mechanisms.

  • The picking process in distribution center is one of the most difficult and time-consuming process. The improvement of picking productivity is a core element which decides efficiency of the distribution center. The time to shipping on vehicles from receiving depends on the arrangement of items or picking methods. The Pick to Light system typically is used to improve the efficiency of order picking. In some cases the layout design of Pick to Light system has been performed rather than scientific analysis by a common experience. Therefore, this study analyzed the impact of picking performance by the zone arrangement method in order picking process of Pick to Light system.

  • The pick cutter, which directly contacts and crushes the rock, is the expendable part of a roadheader. The arrangement and angle of attachment of the pick cutter are important factors that determine excavator performance. It is necessary to numerically calculate the contact between the pick cutter and rock. The rock is defined as a set of particles using the discrete element method. The parallel bond model is used to define the bonds between particles. The properties of granite that are measured by the uniaxial compressive test are applied to the numerical rock model. The pick cutter is defined by the polygon elements. The linear cutting simulation is considered to simulate the contact between the pick cutter and rock. The results of the simulation show the rock breaking due to contact with the pick cutter.

  • This paper deals with the PCB assembly time minimization problem that the PAP (pick-and-placement) machine pickup the K-weighted group of N-components, loading, and place into the PCB placement location. This problem considers the rotational turret velocity according to component weight group and moving velocity of distance in two component placement locations in PCB. This paper suggest heavy-weight component group first pick-and-place strategy that the feeder sequence fit to the placement location Hamiltonean cycle sequence. This algorithm applies the quadratic assignment problem (QAP) that considers feeder sequence and location sequence, and the linear assignment problem (LAP) that considers only feeder sequence. The proposed algorithm shorten the assembly time than iATMA for QAP, and same result as iATMA that shorten the assembly time than ATMA.

  • Objectives : This research is aimed to consider the arranging process of the expertise on acupuncture & moxibustion in the corrective process of "Uibangyuchi" by studying the relationship between "Uibangyuchi" and "Compilation of Chimgutaekil". Methods : This researcher scrutinized the compilation & corrective process of "Uibangyuchi" through royal family records and considered the relationship between "Compilation of Chimgutaekil" and "Uibangyuchi" from the historial viewpoint. Results and Conclusions : 1. In the corrective process of "Uibangyuchi", the specialized knowledge of acupuncture & moxibustion were erased. 2. The contents related to "Chimgutaekil" among the erased contents are included in "Compilation of Chimgutaekil". 3. The method of arranging the knowledge in "Compilation of Chimgutaekil" coincides with that of "Uibangyuchi", which showes this book has a deep association with "Uibangyuchi" in the aspect of the period, organization of authors, and arrangement form. 4. The "Chimgutaekil"(Pick-a-date Method) is of no big consequence in the science of acupuncture & moxibustion but considers the example of medical procedures in the royal family of the Chosun Dynasty : the "Chimgutaekil" was the operation to be done at the very first beginning in time of the medical procedures using acupuncture & moxibustion. 5. Through such historical facts, the conclusion was made that the reason why specialized knowledge of acupuncture & moxibustion of specialty book was deleted in the compilatory process of "Uibangyuchi" is that its writing staff decided to compile these separately, thereby hurriedly publishing "Compilation of Chimgutaekil" as an example.

  • In a shipyard, there exist various critical decision making components pertaining to various production hindrances. The most prominent one is best-fit spatial arrangement for the minimal spatial occupancy with better pick-ability for the erection of the ship in the dock. During the present research, a concept have been conceived to evade the gap between the identification oj inter-relationships among a set of blocks to be included on a pre-erection area, and a detailed graphical layout of their positions, is called an Optimal Block Relationship Diagram A research has been performed on generation of optimal (or near Optimal) that is, with minimal scrap area. An effort has been made in the generation of optimal (or near-optimal) Optimal Block Relationship Diagram with the Goldberg's Genetic Algorithms with a representation and a set of operators are 'trained' specifically for this application. The expected result to date predicts very good solutions to test problems involving innumerable different blocks to place. The suggested algorithm could accept input from an erection sequence generator program which assists the user in defining the nature and strength of the relationships among blocks, and could produce input suitable for use in a detailed layout stage.

  • With increasing global concern that intensively synthetic-chemical based farming systems accelerated the decline in environmental quality, the sustainability of modem agriculture became the subject of great concern. It is well known that the movement of Community Supported Agriculture(CSA) has been contributed significantly to the development of organic agriculture in USA and Japan. It was supposed that CSA could be one of the best way to promote the movement of organic agriculture since there is little reliability on the organically grown food by consumer. In this paper it was focussed to study the movement of CSA in USA and Europe in order to provide an idea for establishment and movement of CSA in Korea to support the organic agriculture. In a CSA system, the farmer grows food for a group of shareholders who pledge to buy a portion of the farm's crop that season. This arrangement gives growers up-front cash to finance their operation and higher prices for produce, since the middleman has been eliminated. For most shareholder for CSA saving money is a secondary consideration, but fresh safe products and environmentally sound farming system. People become shareholder of CSA since they expect an organic farming which can ; \circled1protect the environment, minimize pollution, promote health, \circled2replenish and maintain long-term soil fertility by providing optimal conditions for soil biological activity, \circled3maintain diversity within the farming system and its surroundings and protect plant and wildlife habit, \circled4recycle materials and resources to the greatest extent possible within the farm and its surrounding community, \circled5maintain the integrity of organic food and processed products through each step of the process from planting to consumption, \circled6develop and adopt new technologies with consideration for their long range social and ecological impact. In all CSAs, the farmer develops a crop plan and a budget, which details costs for a growing season, including fair wages for the farmers. Experienced Information on increasing shareholder retention, the future of CSA, and getting started such as ideas for ongoing marketing, printed materials that set realistic expectations, working members, production, pick-up and delivery, setting prices, and receiving feedback were also briefly introduced.

  • In this study, we analyzed the situation of the 119 emergency medical service zone of H town, countryside of Y city from January 1st, 2015 to December 31st, 2016 and then, on the basis of this analysis, we investigated the present condition of the patient-transportation service of the 119 emergency medical service to provide the basic data in order for patients to use the emergency medical service more efficiently. We analyzed the data with SPSS 21.0 using frequency analysis and, after positioning the virtual 119 emergency medical service, we analyzed the data of the transportation time and transportation distance by using GIS. The results of this study show that the use of the 119 emergency medical service for people over 65 years old represents approximately 57% of the total number of patients transported, The average distance and time of the real moving reaction are 6.41 km and 11.86 min, respectively. The distance and time from the pick-up location to the hospital are 18.24 km and 21.52 min, respectively. Given the present position of the 119 emergency medical service, the results of this analysis using GPS show that the (average) distance and time from the 119 emergency medical service to Jang * Ri town are 9.12 km and 12 min, and the (average) total distance and time to arrive at the hospital after the emergency medical service picks up the patient are 36.83 km and 62 min, respectively. In the case of the virtual emergency medical service, the total distance and time required to arrive at the hospital after the emergency medical service picks up the patient are 27.71km and 50min, respectively. The results of this study showed that the present position of the 119 emergency service does not provide the optimum distance and time from the patient's location to the hospital. Therefore, we consider that the repositioning of the 119 emergency medical center is necessary, in order to reduce the time required for the emergency medical service to move to the patient's location and then bring the patient to the hospital.
