노인 허약 예방프로그램이 경로당 이용 노인의 주관적 건강상태, 우울, 체력 및 삶의 질에 미치는 효과 (Effects of elderly people's Frail prevention program on subjective health status, depression, physical fitness and quality of life for in Senior Center Participation of the Elderly)

  • 본 연구는 J시 보건소의 노인 허약 예방프로그램이 지역사회 경로당 이용 노인의 주관적 건강상태, 우울, 체력 및 삶의 질 에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위한 비동등성 대조군 전 후 시차 설계를 이용한 유사실험연구이다. 프로그램에 참여한 대상자는 경로당을 이용하는 노인으로 총 43명으로 이 중 실험군 22명, 대조군 21명 이었으며, 연구기간은 2015년 9월 1일부터 10월 16일까지 8주간, 주 2회 허약노인 예방프로그램을 운영하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS/WIN 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 $x^2-test$와 t-test 등으로 분석하였다. 허약노인 예방프로그램 적용 후 주관적 건강상태(t=-0.35, p=.024), 우울(t=2.76, p=.035), 체력 중 오른손의 압력(t=-3.10, p=.004)과 허리 유연성(t=-2.13, p=.039) 그리고 삶의 질(t=4.36, p<.001)이 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 두 군 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 지역사회 경로당을 이용하는 노인들을 위한 허약 예방프로그램이 노인들의 주관적 건강상태, 우울, 체력 및 삶의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 유용한 간호중재 프로그램임을 확인 할 수 있었다.

지적장애인에 대한 10주간 놀이운동처치가 신체구성과 건강관련체력에 미치는 효과 (The effects of the playing exercise program for 10 weeks on body composition and physical fitness in the mentally handicapped)

  • 본 이 연구는 S시 지적장애인센터의 지적장애인 19명(남12명, 여7명)에게 10주 동안 주 1회(120분), 놀이운동프로그램 처치가 기간별(사전·사후검사) 신체구성(체중, 체지방량, 체지방률, 근육량, 세포량)과 건강관련체력[심폐지구력, 근력(악력, 배근력), 유연성(좌전굴)〕요소에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계치를 산출하였고, 놀이운동프로그램 참여에 따른 기간별 신체구성 및 건강관련체력의 변화에 대해 paired t-test를 실시하였다. 가설검증을 위한 유의수준은 ${\alpha}=.05$로 설정하였다. 연구결과 신체구성 변화 중 유일하게 근육량에서 유의한 차이가 나타났고, 건강관련체력은 배근력, 좌악력, 우악력, 좌전굴, 심폐지구력 모두에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 따라서 지적장애인들의 놀이운동프로그램이 신체구성 및 건강관련체력에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 결과는 성인병 예방에도 기여 할 수 있는 에너지 소비적 활동으로 활용가능하다고 본다.

  • 본 연구는 서울·경기 소재 65세 이상 노인 463명을 대상으로 신체활동 참여에 따른 체력요인과 인지기능, 일상생활수행능력, 도구적 일상생활수행능력 및 심리적 변인에 대한 차이를 분석하였다. 수집 된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도 분석, 독립 t-검증과 일원분산분석 그리고 피어슨의 상관관계분석을 실시하였으며 모든 통계적 유의수준은 p<.05로 설정하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 노인의 신체활동 참여유무에 따라 체력, 인지기능, 일상생활수행능력, 도구적일상생활수행능력 및 심리적 변인인 우울과 삶의 질에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 신체활동에 참여하는 노인의 참여빈도에 따라 체력, 인지기능, ADL, IADL, 우울 및 삶의 질에 통계적 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 신체활동에 참여하는 노인의 참여시간에 따라 체력에서 통계적 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 체력과 인지기능, ADL, IADL, 우울 및 삶의 질의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과 대부분의 요인에서 상관관계가 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 노인의 성공적인 노화와 자립적인 노후생활을 위해 신체활동을 포함한 체계적인 중재 전략의 개발이 필요하다.

Relationship between Functional Fitness and Break Response in Elderly Drivers: Comparison with Young Driver

  • Purpose: This study compared the functional fitness and brake response of elderly and young drivers to confirm the correlation between the functional fitness and brake response. Methods: This study was a cross sectional observational design. Older drivers (>65age, n=21) and young adult drivers (20-40aged, n=20) were enrolled as subjects. The functional fitness of the subjects was measured using a senior fitness test consisting of a back scratch (BS), chair sit and reach (CSR), arm curl (AC), chair stand up (CSU), foot up and go (8-FUG), and 2-minute step (2-MS). The brake response used the virtual driving simulator to measure the brake reaction time (BRT) and braking distance (BD) according to the pedestrian protection and traffic signal compliance. Results: The older drivers had a lower BS (p<0.000), CSU (p=0.040), and 8-FUG (p=0.011) than the young adult drivers. BS and 8-FUG showed a significant positive correlation with the BRT and BD of pedestrian protection and traffic signal compliance. CSU showed a significant negative correlation with the BRT of pedestrian protection and traffic signal compliance. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the flexibility of the upper extremity, lower extremity strength, and agility are strongly correlated with the driving performance of elderly drivers.

수중운동 프로그램이 도시주변부 여성의 체력, 체구성과 보행특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of an Aquatic Exercise Program on Physical Fitness, Body Composition, and Gait Characteristics in Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of an aquatic exercise program on physical fitness, body composition, and gait characteristics using trunk and pelvic angle in women living in urban fringe area. Methods: An aquatic exercise program consists of exercise in a swimming pool and self-help group activity with 16 women living in urban fringe (mean age: 63 years) for 8 weeks (twice a week for 2 hours). Physical fitness, body composition, trunk and pelvic angle using 2D video motion analyzer, and a questionnaire including socio-demographic variables were measured from July to August, 2013. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test with the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: At the end of 8 weeks intervention, there were significant decreases on body weight (p=.025), body fat (p=.030) and BMI (p=.011). There were significant increases on muscle strength (p=.001) and flexibility (p=.015). Trunk angle was significantly improved, which means participants less moved their body from side to side when they walked (p=.001). Conclusion: From this results, the aquatic exercise program could be an effective nursing intervention to improve physical fitness, body composition, and gait ability for women living in urban fringe area.

스위스 볼(Swiss ball)을 이용한 6주간 등척성 운동이 허리 유연성, 근력 및 허리, 대퇴 둘레에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Isometric Exercise using Swiss Ball on the Flexibility, the Strength and the Waist and Hip Circumferences)

  • In order to study the effect of the isometric exercises on the flexibility. the strength and the waist and hip circumferences, 10 female university students who aged 22.10 ${\pm}$ 1.10 years were measured by sit-up for strength, and trunk flexion test and trunk lifting for flexibility, and also measured by waist and hip circumferences before and during, and after the Swiss ball exercise program. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS/PC WIN 7.0 version. and one-way repeated ANOVA Test, The results of the test were as shown; We found that the number of performing sit-up was increased. and the trunk flexion test and trunk lifting was increased, and the waist and hip circumferences were increased after the 6 weeks Swiss ball exercise program. These findings indicate that Isometric exercise using Swiss ball could be beneficial to the low back pain patients due to the effect of increasing strength and flexibility of the patients.

수중운동이 골관절염 환자의 체력, 통증 및 생리적 기능에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Aquatic Exercise Program on Physical Fitness, Pain and Physiological Function in Patients with Osteoarthritis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of aquatic exercise program on physical fitness, pain and physiological function in patients with osteoarthritis. Method: The subjects of the study were thirty women(age: forty-seventy five) who have an osteoarthritis. Aquatic exercise program consist of approximately two hours of exercise in water, two days per week, for six weeks. Data were gathered from April 19 2005 to May 27 using a questionnaire and measuring physical fitness and physiological index. Data were analyzed with the SPSS Win 12.0 using frequency and paired t-test for difference between pre-exercise and post-exercise. Results: The results of this study were as follows: There were significantly increased on left shoulder (t=3.848, p=.001) and waist flexibility(t=-5.622, p=.001) scores. There were significantly decreased on pain score(t=5.288. p=.000), body weight(t=5.072, p=.001), systolic B.P(t=18.362, p=.001), diastolic B.P(t=32.558, p=.001), blood sugar(t=1.805, p=.041), total cholesterol(t=2.032, p=.026) scores. Conclusion: From these results, it is concluded that the aquatic exercise program can be effective in increasing physical fitness, physiological function and decreasing pain in patients with osteoarthritis.

파킨슨병 맞춤운동프로그램의 개발 및 신체기능에 대한 효과 (The Development and Effect of a Tailored Exercise Program on Physical Fitness in Patients with Parkinson's Disease)

  • Purpose: To develop & to examine the effect of a Tailored Exercise Program (TEP) on physical fitness in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). Method: In a two-group pre-and post-test design, from a total 41 participants. 21 were assigned th the experimental group find the remainder to the control group. The experimental group participated in a 4-day a week, 8 week program in which one session a week was by direct instruction with the self-help group and two sessions a week were by videotaped instruction at home by themselves. The control group did not receive any intervention. Results: The eight week TEP in patients with PD was found to be significantly effective in enhancing muscle strength, ankle flexibility, and balance. However instrumental activities of daily living was not changed by the intervention. Conclusion: These results suggest that TEP can have an effect on physical fitness in patients with PD. Further research with a larger sample and for a longer follow up period is needed to expand our understanding of the effects of TEP for patients with PD.

전화코칭을 동반한 저강도 운동 프로그램이 방문건강관리 노인의 체력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Low Intensity Exercise Program with Telephone Coaching on Physical Fitness)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of low intensity exercise program with telephone coaching on the physical fitness of elderly people who are receiving home visiting nursing care. Method: This study was conducted using a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 61 elders. Elders (34) in the experimental group performed low intensity exercise and of these 16 received telephone coaching. The low intensity exercise program consisted of stretching, muscle strengthening with an elastic band, massage, and ball exercise, five days a week, for sixteen weeks. Data were collected from July 2007 to December 2007. $x^2$-test, ANCOVA with SPSS WIN 11.0 program were used to analyse the data. Results: There were statistical differences in the right grasping power in the right hand (p=0.021), Raising behind of right arm (p=0.006), Raising behind of left arm (p=0.007). Conclusion: These results indicate, that a low intensity exercise program with telephone coaching can help improve physical fitness in elders receiving served home visiting nursing care.

  • Purpoes: The study was done to investigate the effects of an exercise program on body composition, cardiopulmonary function and physical fitness in obese children. Methods: Thirty nine children in grades 4, 5, and 6 in elementary school were employed: experimental group(20) and control group(19). The subjects in the experimental group participated in an exercise program for 8weeks, thirty five minutes per session, four times per week. This data was analyzed by ANCOVA and paired t-test. Result: The Height(F=2.615, p=0.027) of the experimental group was significantly different from the control group. Also, in the experimental group, there were significant differences of height(t=4 79, p=0.000), cardiac rate(t=-6.461, p=0.000), body mass index(t=-2.13 p=0.046), muscle strength(t=3.48, p=0.003), and muscle endurance(t=3.20, p=0.005). Otherwise, in the control group, there were significant differences of weight(t=2.27, p=0.036), waist-hip ratio(t=3.16, p=0.005), and muscle endurance(t=-2.38, p=0.030). Conclusion: Jumping rope improved the body composition, cardiopulmonary function, and physical fitness for obese children.
