Deterioration of agricultural hydraulic structures(AHS), which are under harsh environmental conditions, is more sever than other ordinary structures. To investigate the deterioration factors of AHS, various physical and chemical analyses are performed. The porosity of AHS increases more rapidly than ordinary structures because they are subject to frequent water permeation and water-soluble materials are easily emitted to surface area. Thus, AHS are tend to be damaged by freezing and thawing more easily due to the increase of water containment inside concrete.
This study was designed to find answers for the two questions that had been raised in the study of Lee and Fortner(2000): 1) How can the appropriateness of classification of environmental issues by perceived certainty and 2) How are perceived certainty, tangibility, significance of environmental issues and willingness to act to solve those problems related to each other\ulcorner A questionnaire consisted of 40 questions was administered to 144 college students. Results of the study revealed that classification through cluster analysis appeared to be more appropriate and credible than classification by mean scores or medians. Four major factors were found to have high positive correlations to each other as hypothesized. These results imply for environmental educations that people's attitude toward and behavior on environmental problems are likely to be more strongly and meaningfully associated with their perceptions of those problems that are subjective and flexible than physical or chemical characteristics of the problems that are frequently considered as objective.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to review functioning components of studies for measuring functional information using International Classification of Functioning, disability and health (ICF) in Korea. Methods: A literature review was conducted and eligible studies were identified via search of RISS, KISS, DBpia, KoreaMed, PubMed, and ISI databases published from 2001 to 2015. For inclusion in this review, a study should be published in a peer-review journal, must have participation of Korean researchers and/or developed in Korea, and should provide functioning data related ICF. Descriptive studies containing only ICF concepts and review studies were also excluded. Collected functioning data in each study were analyzed using frequency based on ICF domain. Data assessment was performed by two independent reviewers. Results: Eighty publications were included in the analysis. The majority of studies collected data from clinical patients (n=38) and from the disabled (n=28). Fourteen studies assessed functioning data from the elderly and students under special education. The studies reported functioning data using various tools, including ICF itself, ICF checklist, coresets, and conventional measurement tools. Body function domain was most commonly used and the least used domain was the body structure across areas. Interestingly, increasing data related to environmental factors was observed in all studied populations. Conclusion: Functioning data was collected from four domains of ICF across professional areas. The most common collected data was body function and activity and participation for which conventional measurement tools are already available. To understand clients, components of environmental factors that might influence a person's functioning should be considered.

The purpose of this study is to establish better residential environment in APT. complex. In this study, the actual conditions of exterior space, user behavior and degree of satisfaction are investigated and analyzed on the 5 high-rise story APT complex in Taegu city. The results of this study were as follow ; The size and arrangement of organizational elemnnt to exterior space in APT. complex have been regulated by law and regulations as the buildings coverage and floor space index, but housinghold and accessibility to the racility will be simultaneously considered to raise Quality of the residential environoment. The main user behavior to exterior space in APT. complex was practical activity and the user behavior pattern by week and among APT. complex were found similiarly. In the ratio of use to exterior space in APT. Complex, that of high-rise residents were lower than that of lowrise residents. In the degree of satisfaction by property of variables to exterior environment In APT. comples, physical of buildings, social - psychologic, managerial economical, physical property of exterior space were estimated positively, but properly of facility were estimated negatively. The degee of satisfaction to exterior environment in APT. complex was highly Influenced by green space, site size. As a result of ractor analysis, the four factors were drawn out from exterior environment in APT. complex. and the factors that have an effect on the degree of residents' satisfaction by factorscore were found in the order of importance as fallow ; managemental, physical, environmental, organizalional factor. Therefore, devilopment of APT. complex should be considered in a view of environmental psychology according to physical organization for used in the future. It is recommended that this problems should be necessitated to be more deeply studies in the future.
The relationship between bone mineral density and the environmental factors were investigated from the view point of preventing osteoporosis in Korean pubescent girls. The effects of calcium, nutrient intake, physical activity on total bone mineral density, lumbar spine and femoral bone mineral density and total bone mineral content were evaluated 33 healthy pubescent girls aged 14∼16y. A convenient method was used to assess nutritional and energy intake and calcium index was used together. Calcium intake in childhood was estimated by asking whether subjects usually drank milk as children. Eating habits data and history of menstruation were obtained by questionnaire and interview. Average energy expenditure was calculated. Bone mineral density and content were measured by dual energy x-ray absorptiometry using a Lunar DPX+Scanner (Lunar, Madison, WI). The lumbar spine(L2∼L4) and three sites in the proximal femur (femoral neck, trochanteric region, and Ward's triangle)were measured. Height and weight were measured, and the body mass index(BMI) was derived from the formula : BMI=kg/㎡ Statistical analysis was performed by simple correlation using the SAS package. The mean calcium intake (736mg) was below the RDA of 800mg/d. Twelve percent of the total subjects did not drink milk at all because they did not like the taste. Skipping meals, low calcium intake and low energy intake were significantly correlated with the low BMD. Also the data indicate that girls who reported drinking milk with every meal during childhood had significantly higher bone densities than girls who reported drinking milk less frequently. The results suggest that milk consumption in childhood appears to be needed not only for growth and development, but possibly also to assure an optimal peak of bone mass and thus greater latitude for the maintenance or skeletal integrity in the face of bone losses. There was a highly significant correlation between the total BMD and overall level of physical activity. Body weight was a better predictor of total BMD than was and other factor. Simple mechanical loading may explain why body weight, but total BMC was positively relatd to height. Conclusively, increasing calcium intake and physical activity in the pubescent girls could influence BMD.
Objectives: This study explored the community food environmental factors affecting food purchasing using a qualitative research methodology for the elderly as well as the various food environments under their socioeconomic diversity. Methods: For the qualitative data collection, this study interviewed 20 elderly people aged 65 years or more, who participated in a public health program or lunch services operated by the senior welfare center in Seoul. Five dimensions, such as availability, physical accessibility, affordability, acceptability, and accommodation suggested in previous studies, were used to identify the community food environmental factors. Results: The elderly participants showed overall similarities to the concepts derived from existing studies on the five dimensions of food accessibility environment. In addition, other important food accessibility environmental factors that were not present in previous studies, such as acceptability for a product of domestic origin, delivery service to home, and small-packaged food sales, were derived. On the other hand, the concept of some subjects differed depending on the household income and specifically for the physical accessibility concept. This showed that the close distance factor from a grocery store at home might not apply to older adults in low-income households in Korea. Conclusions: This study found that five dimensions of the food environment suggested by previous studies could also be applied to vulnerable older adults in Korea. On the other hand, the socioeconomic characteristics of individuals and households would affect the perspectives of their local food environments differently. The findings of this study could help in the development of tools for evaluating the community food environment.
Based on an ecological monitoring in a Korean stream (Gapyeong), Habitat Suitability Index (HSI) of nine fish species was developed for three physical habitat factors : current velocity, water depth and substrate. The species were chosen based on their abundance and frequency in the fish community of the Gapyeong stream. The Weibull model was used as the probability density function to analyze the distribution and number of each fish species according to the three identified physical factors, which showed good results. This HSI equation has advantages because it statistically expresses habitat preferences of fish species simply and clearly. From that, we can quantitatively deduce the central tendency and variation of environmental factors for fish distribution. The selected fish species showed different preferences for each habitat factor respectively. Although there are some exceptions, the distribution and abundance of individual species of nektonic fish (Zacco koreanus, Zacco platypus, Microphysogobio longidorsalis and Pungtungia herzi) were positively skewed to deep water and fine substrate while riffle-benthic fish (Koreocobitis rotundicaudata and Coreoleuciscus splendidus) were normally distributed at the shallow and coarse substrate zone. It seems that the species showing the positively skewed distribution to the current, Z. koreanus, Z. platypus, M. longidorsalis and P. herzi have adapted themselves to the fast current and have expanded their niche.

This study was performed to investigate the changes in turnover intention according to the level of occupational stress and to find the mediating factor that reducing the turnover intention among fire officer. To compare change of turnover intention according to the degree of occupational stress, statistical analyses were done by using the logistic regression model. In logistic regression analysis, the possibility of high turnover intention in a group with high occupational stress was hjgher by 4.11 times than a group with low occupational stress. The results of analyzing the degree of change in turnover intention after applying the mediating parameters(physical condition, emotional labor, burn out), turnover intention decreased by about 50.6%(from 4.11 times to 2.03 times) at the high level of occupational stress. As a result, it was found that the occupational stress experienced by the fire-officers had a positive effect on the turnover intention. In order to reduce the turnover intention due to the occupational stress of the fire-officers, it is necessary to manage factors such as work environmental factors(emotional labor, burn out) and individual factor(physical condition).

This study examines the existing theories related to detention basin and embodies the calculation process of sediment basin. It investigated the scale of sediment basin by actual measurement at Buju Mountain, Mokpo city which causes the environmental problems like erosion and outflow of sediment due to the excessive development, finds the problems of existing sediment basin by applying and analyzing the physical factors which affect the execution of sediment basin using GIS as the method establishing the scale of sediment basin embodied in this study and then suggests the oteimum scale. Comparing the surface area of the existing sediment basin and of the required one, all of the surface areas of the existing sediment basins were smaller than those of the required one. Therefore, it can be expected that the trap efficient of sediment will be declined. The required one. Therefore, it can be expected that the trap efficient of sediment will be declined. The required minimum depth was fully satisfied, but it is analyzed that the volume of sediment basin will affect the neighboring environment because it can not accomodate the inflow discharge volume except sediment basin C. It is consistent with the actual situation which causes a serious environmental problem due to the overflow of sediment basin during the heavy storm event except sediment basin C and also it verifies the validity of calculation process of establishing optimum sediment basin suggested in this study.
The special characters of traditional architecture has been formed suitably correspond with the purpose of usage and function, which was influenced with various environmental factors such as natural, social, physical, cultural and thoughtful. There was some differences in building placement and space composition according to the regional character such as climate, customs, and a gap of convention (long-established custom) and one's social position system and custom character of family. However, the essential characteristic of traditional architecture are nicely contain the era's architectural character. But these characters are developed or extinct according to the environmental factors. This paper is looking for the elements that formed social cultural element and background architect's thought. And, with the historical background, there are looking for Occupation. A traditional architecture had been formed correspond with the purpose of usage and function, which was influenced with physical nature environment elements such as regional character, climate, customs and social cultural environment elements such as government, economy, society, culture and thoughtful elements.
