  • Building-integrated photovoltaic(BIPV) perform traditional architectural function of walls and roof while also generating electricity. But most of the absorbed solar energy appears passively as heat, raising the temperature of cells and reducing the efficiency with which the active part is converted into electricity. Therefore this paper presents the comparison of electrical, architectural and thermal performance of roof integrated photovoltaic(PV) modules, which is composed of different hybrid structure layer such as urethane form, waffle stud etc.

  • Along with fusion energy, photovoltaic solar energy conversion has long been considered as one of the few sustainable options for large scale energy supply in the future. In the past, commercial use has been restricted largely to remote area applications where conventional electricity is expensive. However, 1998 marked a year of transition where the major application of the cells changed to become generation of residential electricity in urban areas already supplied by the conventional grid. The current state of the technology is discussed as are major overseas programs to accelerate the urban residential use of photovoltaics, particularly in Japan, Europe and the United States, includng the "million roof" program in the latter. Finally, the planned use of photovoltaics in the Sydney 2000 Olympics is described, where the technology will be used to provide most of the electricity requirements of the 665 residences which will be a legacy of the Olympic Village.

  • The Korean government announced various energy policies, such as the to reduce 37% of the business-as-usual (BAU) greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The policies aim to increase the renewable electricity generation ratio to 20% by 2030. PVT is a hybrid technology, which combines photovoltaic (PV) and solar collectors. It is capable of generating electricity and thermal energy simultaneously. It has a great potential to be used as a renewable and clean solar energy. However, there exists a shortage of space for the installation of PVT systems in Korea. To overcome this, in this paper proposes four types of soundproof wall PVT air channels, which were designed and optimized, based on the CFD (Computation Fluid Dynamic) analysis results. The thermal energy generation for multiple PVT units connected in series and pressure drop sensitivity were analyzed, depending on inlet velocity.

  • In this study, the use of a micro gas turbine system using biogas to supply heating, cooling and electricity loads of a rural building located in rural area around Tehran has been studied. Initially, the amount of energy needed by the farmhouse was calculated and then the number of needed microturbines was determined. Accordingly, the amount of substances entering biogas digester as well as tank volume were determined. The results of this study showed that village house loads including electrical, heating and cooling and hot water loads can be supplied by using a microturbine with a nominal power of 30 kW and $33.5m^3/day$ of biogas. Digester tank and reservoir tank volumes are $67m^3$ and $31.2m^3$, respectively. The cost of electricity produced by this system is 0.446 US$/kWh. For rural area in Iran, this system is not compatible with micro gas turbine and IC engine system use urban natural gas due to low price of natural gas in Iran, but it can be compatible by wind turbine, photovoltaic and hybrid system (wind turbine& photovoltaic) systems.

  • Research and development of energy self-consumption introducing photovoltaic and energy storage system at home is very active. This system can manage the home energy in which it charges the electricity generated during the day and uses it during high electricity bills. However, it not yet made up the residential real-time pricing in Korea but it can reduce electricity usage to a certain target on the progressive. In order to introduce the home photovoltaic, it requires PCS(Power Conditioning System). This converts the direct current into alternating current by the electricity generated and used to perform charging and discharging of the energy storage system. The market for self-consumption smart home system is currently increasing because the interests of the general public about solar power, energy storage systems increased. The result of this study is installed on the room environment and the effect was analyzed on the assumption of real-time pricing.

  • Photovoltaic Power Generation system occupies an important position as an alternative energy source, converting directly sunlight into electricity, using a photovoltaic cell. The Purpose of this research is to present and confirm the effectiveness of concentration and tracking of sun in photovoltaic power generation. Comparative experiments were carried outwith two rating 75 watt solar modules in $25^{\circ}$ under condition of various times concentration, tracking and plain normal measuring generated voltages, currents and temperatures of back sheet of modules by internet monitoring system to find out which is best in economic sense. The experiments show that output power of concentration and tracking photovoltaic power generation is over 180% more then that of plain normal system.

  • Utility interactive photovoltaic systems is one of the most premising applications of photovoltaic systems. These systems are employed in applications where utility service is already available. In this case, there is no need for battery storage because utility power may be used to supplement photovoltaic systems when the load exceeds available PV generation. The load receives electricity from both the photovoltaic array and the utility inter-tied. In this paper, Principle and operating characteristic of Utility Interconnected Photovoltaic System is presented. For the purpose of optimal utility Inter-tied photovoltaic system design and installation. It is that demonstrate throughout the installed 3 PV system respectively, 3kW utility interconnected residential system.

  • Photovoltaic systems are progressively attached importance and their installed capacity increases day by day because of their reliability, decremented installation and operating cost and simple construction structure. Generated power obtained from a photovoltaic system changes depending upon regional distinctness, and It can be estimated approximately by taking into consideration mean global radiation amount, temperature and humidity. However, there may be different regional negative or positive factors like dust, air pollution, desert powder which affect generated power. The best reliable data for a region can be obtained from the existing photovoltaic system in the region. For this purpose, a monitoring system for 1000W monocrystalline photovoltaic system constructed at Kocaeli University Uzunciftlik Nuh Cimento Vocational High Scholl is prepared. The installed monitoring system shows and records real values generated from the photovoltaic system and environmental data. In the study, Instantaneous data obtained from the monitoring system for October 2018 and 7th October 2018 is given within figures. Additionally, daily and monthly total energy productions of the photovoltaic system are given for October 2018 and date interval between July 2018 and March 2018, respectively.

  • The objectives of this study are to investigate input variables of photovoltaic generation programs and to compare their prediction to actual generation of photovoltaic system in the C city hall and the C city sewage treatment plant. We investigated the actual amount of generation, the forecast amount of generation, the amount of solar radiation data, and calculated the relative errors. We simulated the photovoltaic system of C city hall and the C city sewage treatment plant located in Chungju using existing programs, such as SAM, RETSCREEN, HOMER, PV SYST, Solar Pro. The result of this study are as follows : Through examining the relative errors of monthly predicted and actual generation data, monthly generation data showed big errors in winter season?. Except winter season, actual amount of generation and the predicted amount of generation showed no large errors.
