  • The developments of the solar and the wind power energy are neccessary since the future alternative energies that have no pollution and no limitation are restricted. Currently power generation system of existing problems, combined generation system of photovoltaic(400W) and wind power generation system(400W) was suggested. It combines wind power and solar energy to have the supporting effect from each other. However, weather condition, power compensation device that uses elastic energy of spiral spring to combined generation system was also added for the present study. In an experiment, when output of system gets lower than 12V(charging voltage), power was continuously supplied to load through the inverter by charging energy obtained from generating rotary energy of spiral spring operates in small scale generator.

  • Recently, one of the areas where research is being actively conducted is the Internet of Things (IoT). The field of using the Internet of Things system is increasing, coupled with a remarkable increase of the use of the camera. However, general cameras used in the Internet of Things have limited viewing angles as compared to those available to the human eye. Also, cameras restrict observation of objects and the performance of observation. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a panoramic image stitching method using feature extraction and matching based on an embedded system. After extracting the feature of the image, the speed of image stitching is improved by reducing the amount of computation using the necessary information so that it can be used in the embedded system. Experimental results show that it is possible to improve the speed of feature matching and panoramic image stitching while generating a smooth image.

  • A standalone LED lighting system in using solar energy has been used usually less than 70W of lighting power because of a troublesome installation and maintenance. In this system, as more and more LED lighting power increases, the capacity of photovoltaic panel does proportionally, and to improve the charging efficiency of solar energy, MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) techniques is used frequently, but the solar tracker is not. In this paper, a solar tracker which traces the light of the sun in varying hour to hour is studied to apply to the standalone LED lighting system. This solar tracker consists of twin axis for tracing the azimuth and altitude respectively, and it has a robust structure with safe mode to stand a strong wind. As a result of analysis, generating efficiency of the traced type has improved on the fixed one 28.84% on average.

  • A PV system inverter test module using RTDS was developed and performance test of a commercial PV inverter was carried out. The developed module consists of one RTDS hardware rack, RTDS software models representing PV array and simple distribution system, and two power amplifiers that was specifically designed for generating power corresponding to signals from RTDS. Performance test results verified effectiveness and reliability of the test module. It is expected that the developed test module may help PV inverter manufacturers improve ana test their systems in the developing stage.

  • This paper describes Transformer-less type utility interactive system that is combined with buck/boost chopper applying partial resonant method, which remove Transformer, and high efficient PWM inverter. Therefore, it is possible to make it lightweight, to cut down the cost, and to improve its reliability. What the merits of this system are that we can transmit arbitrary power arbitrary power to load and utility regardless of generating voltage magnitude of solar cell and we can always obtain high factor controlling by equal phase signal with utility.

  • In solar generation, the PV array's azimuth is headed due south and the tilt is generally $33^{\circ}$ in order to acquire maximum generation. However, when installed in a site where there are buildings or other facilities, the azimuth and tilt are adjusted. Yet, when the azimuth and tilt are deviated from due south and $33^{\circ}$, the generation quantity is decreased substantially and currently a method to estimate the decreasing proportion is unavailable. Therefore, in this thesis, an equation on the "change ratio of solar radiation due to the changes in tilt and azimuth" was deduced by utilizing empirical data on the amount of solar radiation received according to the changes of tilt and azimuth and Interpolation. By using this equation, the decreasing proportion of generating quantity due to the installation methods of PV system can be estimated, therefore, it can be usefully utilized when designing and going through feasibility studies for development of solar generation systems.

  • The objective of this study was to increase the generating efficiency of concentrated photovoltaics (CPV) by using hybrid solar tracking. Further, the proposed system was demonstrated to have the ability to extract thermal energy from a concentrated photovoltaic system by using thermal absorbers containing heat pipe, which could then be used for a heating system or hot-water supply. The average electrical efficiency was 16 during the day, and the average thermal efficiency was 62. Therefore, this system demonstrated a total efficiency (electrical thermal) of 78. All the processes, i.e., tracking of the sun, calculation of the sun's position, reinstatement of the heating device toward the east for tracking on the next day, and system shutdown, were programmed using Simulink. A parametric analysis of the heat pipe, concentration ratio, and inlet velocity was also performed in terms of the operating temperature of the CPV and the outlet temperature. The simulation and experimental results for the thermal absorber were found to be in good agreement.

  • Recently, the operation of power distribution systems has become more difficult because the peak demand load is increasing continuously and the daily load factor is getting worse and worse. Also, the consideration of deregulation and global environment in electric power industry is required. In order to overcome these problems, a study on the planning and operation in distribution systems of dispersed generating sources such as fuel cell systems, photovoltaic systems and wind power systems has been performed energetically. This study presents a method for determining an optimal operation strategy of dispersed co-generating sources, especially fuel cell systems, in the case of both only electric power supply and thermal supply as well as electric power supply. In other words, the optimal operation of these sources can be determined easily by the principle of equal incremental fuel cost and the thermal merits is evaluated quantitatively through Kuhn-Tucker's optimal conditions. In order to select the optimal locations of those sources, an priority method using the comparison of total cost at the peak load time interval is also presented. The validity of the proposed algorithms is demonstrated using a model system.

  • The developments of the solar and the wind power energy are necessary since the future alternative, energies that have no pollution and no limitation are restricted. Currently power generation system of MW scale has been developed, but it still has a flew faults with the weather condition. In order to solve these existing problem combined generation system of photovoltaic(400W) and wind power generation system(400W) was suggested. It combines wind power and solar energy to have the supporting effect from each other.
