사진을 통한 백령도 점박이물범의 개체식별 가능성 파악 (Validity of Photo-identification Method for Spotted Seals on Baekryongdo, Korea)

  • Identification of individuals is a standard tool used to study animal behavior and ecology. Numerous studies based on photographic identifications of various marine mammal populations have been successfully conducted. The objective of this study was to validate a photo-identification method for spotted seals. We tested the method using 4,939 photographs gathered in 30 field surveys from 2006 to 2008 on Baekryongdo, Korea. In 2006, 20 individuals were identified and cataloged using unique spot patterns on their left chick pelages as a natural marker. In 2007 and 2008, three and nine individuals, respectively, were recaptured, with six individuals continually recaptured during the entire survey period. We confirmed that the spot patterns of spotted seal pelages were constant in shape and location throughout time. These characteristics offered an opportunity to consistently identify individuals within a population over the long survey period. The use of photo-identification has great potential for mark-recapture studies.

  • 한국의 스마트폰 보유율은 약 95%로 세계 최고이며, 사용 시간이 가장 긴 애플리케이션의 대부분이 SNS이다. 코로나19로 여행객이 늘면서 사람들은 SNS를 통해 국내외 여행 사진을 게시 및 자랑한다. 그러나 기존 SNS에서는 지역별 사진을 찾기 어렵고 정확한 위치 표시가 부족하다. 이에 따라 원하는 사진과 위치를 확인하고 내비게이션 기능을 이용하여 목적지까지 갈 수 있는 앱을 개발하게 되었다. 국내 지도상의 주요 포토 스팟과 해당 지역의 사진을 확인할 수 있는 애플리케이션을 개발하여 사용자가 직접 참여하고 공유할 수 있도록 한다.

  • Mask manufacturing is a high COC and COO process in developing of semiconductor devices, because of the mass production tool with high resolution. Direct writing has been thought to be one of the patterning method to cope with development or small-lot production of the device. This study focused on the development of the direct, mastless patterning process using stereolithography tool for the easy and convenient application to micro and miso scale products. Experiments are utilized by three dimensional CAD/CAM as a mask and photo-curable resin as a photo-resist in a conventional stereo-lithography apparatus. Results show that the resolution of the pattern was achieved about 300 micron because of complexity of SLA apparatus settings, inspite of 100 micro of inherent resolution. This paper concludes that photo resist and laser spot diameter should be adjusted to get finer patterns and the proposed method is significantly feasible to mastless and low cost patterning with micro and miso scale.

  • The sheet metal shearing process is normally used in the precision elements such as semi-conductor components. In precision elements, burrs usually reduce the quality of machined parts and cause interference, jamming and misalignment during assembly procedures and because of their sharpness, they can be safety hazard to personnel. Furthermore, not only burrs are hard to predict and avoid, but also deburring, the process of removing burrs, is time-consuming and costly. In order to get the burr-free parts, therefore, we developed the precise burr measuring system using the laser. The laser burr measuring system consists of the laser probe, the photo detector, the achromatic doublet lens, and the rotary & the X-Y table. In previous reports, we used simple vertical measuring method. But, as we used relatively bigger laser spot diameter and had the limited reflection angle, it was difficult to obtain the precise measuring results. So called, the spot size effect makes the profile of burr measured distorted and the burr height measured smaller. By introducing the novel laser measuring method which employing the achromatic lens system and the tilting mechanism, we could make the spot size smaller and get the appropriate beam direction angle. Through the experiments, the accuracy of the developed system is proved. The burr height measured during the punching process can be used for automatic deburring and in-situ aligning.

  • A number of dust particles are intruded into ODD(Optical disk drive) due to the flow caused by disk rotation and are adhered to a lens or disk surface. The space between the disk and the lens is being reduced. Someone indicates the problems of this drive that are relatively small data storing capacity and slow access time. In recent, the problems of this optical disk drive mentioned above are being solved by adding the speed of the disk's revolution, making the actuator high-speed or light, and making the beam spot size smaller than making the space narrow between disk and lens. These particle contamination affects seriously RF Signal, readout signal in an ODD. Especially, the affected parts by a particle contamination in an ODD's readout signal are objective lens and media.

  • We propose a taper-underlaid spot-size converter (TU-SSC) with an offset which consists of two vertically stacked taper layers. The designed TU-SSC reduces coupling loss of a high index-contrast waveguide with $1.5%{\Delta}$ to a single mode fiber from 1.5 dB to 0.27 dB. We also considered the effects of mask misalignment in the fabrication process of TU-SSC, and optimized the design of TU-SSC so that the additional loss of TU-SSC for the mask misalignment of $3{\mu}m$ in the photo-lithography process was as low as 0.13 dB.

  • The strains of fungus which belong to Coniothyrium genus were isolated from leaf spoot of Yucca. The isolated strain can grow easily and forms characteristic colonies on Saido's soy agar. There are definite differences, according to other authors, (By Miyake et Hara 1911) Pycnidio-spore are usually formed ellipsoidal, dark brown, 4$\times$2. 5-4. $O\mu$ in size, whereas isolated strains are globose, yellowish brown, 2.8-4.2$\mu$ in diameter. The positive inoculation test can be attained by burned petridish method, preserving it in incubator at 28$^{\circ}C$, and the pycnidio-spore can be reisolated from the inoculated portion. (Photo.7) Up to the present day there is no report for leaf spot of Yucca caused by Coniothyrium sp.. Comparing the writer's isolate with those fungi described(leaf spot of alloe, rose canker and elm canker etc.) hitherto, there are no accordance in the symptom and especially in morphological charactgers and Pathogenicitys.

A novel route restoring method upon geo-tagged photos

  • Sharing geo-tagged photos has been a hot social activity in the daily life because these photos not only contain geo information but also indicate people's hobbies, intention and mobility patterns. However, the present raw geo-tagged photo routes cannot provide information as enough as complete GPS trajectories due to the defects hidden in them. This paper mainly aims at analyzing the large amounts of geo-tagged photos and proposing a novel travel route restoring method. In our approach we first propose an Interest Measure Ratio to rank the hot spots based on density-based spatial clustering arithmetic. Then we apply the Hidden Semi-Markov model and Mean Value method to demonstrate migration discipline in the hot spots and restore the significant region sequence into complete GPS trajectory. At the end of the paper, a novel experiment method is designed to demonstrate that the approach is feasible in restoring route, and there is a good performance.

  • 대부분의 태양광 발전시설물은 평지에 설치가 되는 것이 일반적이지만 소형 발전시설의 경우는 경사진 임야 등에 설치되는 경우도 많다. 그 외에는 드물게 건물의 옥상이나 콘크리트 위에 설치되는 경우가 있으나 이는 대부분 25 kW 미만의 소규모 설치이다. 일반 평지나 임야 등에 설치가 될 경우 관리를 지속적으로 하지 않으면 잡초가 자라고 일정 높이 이상 자라게 된 잡초는 태양광 모듈에 그림자의 영향을 줄 수 있게 된다. 그러나 잡초가 조금 자란 것이 영향을 주는지 주지 않는지 판단하기 힘들고 지속적인 관리를 위해서는 관리 비용이 발생하기 때문에 잡초가 태양광 발전에 영향을 주는 시점에서 정확하게 관리를 해준다면 가장 최소한의 관리비용으로 최대한의 태양광 발전량을 가져 올 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 잡초가 의한 태양광 모듈의 발전에 영향을 미치는 형태를 모니터링을 통한 발전량 데이터를 분석하여 그 유형을 파악을 하고 모듈에서 잡초의 그림자 영향이 출력의 감소에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 실험을 통해 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 잡초의 영향을 모니터링 데이터 상의 수치로 기준을 정하였다. 또한 잡초의 영향을 장기적으로 방치를 하였을 경우 나타나게 되는 현상인 핫스팟(Hot spot) 발생의 기준을 수치적으로 표준화 하였다.

CdS단결정의 열랄격전류에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Thermally Stimulated Current in CdS Single Crystal)

  • 本實驗에 파이퍼-폴리시(piper-polish)法으로 만든 單結晶에 Sb와 In을 이온衝激시킨 스포트에 대하여 熱剌激電流를 測定하였다. Sb와 In을 각각 衝激시켜 熱剌激電流를 測定한 결과 중첩된 피이크가 觀察되었는데 이를 서멀 클리닝(thermal cleaning)法으로 分離하여 147K에서 0.25eV와 0.31eV의 活性에너지를 얻었다. 스포트를 冷却시키면서 光勵起시키면 0.25eV의 트랩(trap)이 사라지고 0.85eV의 트랩이 새로 나타났다. 光電導가 양호한 結晶에서 T.S.C.가 잘 測定되었다.
