The Development of a Life Coaching Educational Program at the Healthy Family Support Center (건강가정지원센터에서 활용할 수 있는 라이프코칭교육프로그램 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The essence of family health is to make the family stronger, which can be found in the philosophy of coaching that focuses on the individual's own change and development. In this context, this study aims to develop a coaching educational program at the Healthy Family Support Center. The educational program, 'The Happiness Balloon in My Mind' consists of 4 sessions, which are 'Perceiving the Balloon', 'Making the Balloon', 'Blowing up the Balloon', and 'Flying the Balloon'. Through the questionnaires that included open and closed questions, the effectiveness of the program was evaluated. The educators replied that their expectation to the program was met and they were highly satisfied with the program. They reported that the program brought the a change in life, elly, in their own consciousness. Even though the program would need to adjust its level of difficulty and scheduling, the results suggest that coaching educational program showsits own plausibility to the Healthy Family Support Center.

  • The medicine through I Ching(The Book of Changes, 易經) is a field of the medical science, which studies physiology, pathology and Yin-Yang philosophy. From ancient times so many scholars have studied I Ching and they are divided into two different school. one is the school of Image and Number(象數學派), the other is the school of reason(義理學派). Dasan Jung Yak-Yong(茶山 丁若鏞) is a distinguished scholar in the I-Ching study, and he had a unique opinion in the analysis about sentences of I Ching. He has done his best to make 'Image and Number(象數)' harmonize with reason(義理). I Ching is the book about changes, which includes everything like natural phenomena, human body and mind. So we can understand human physiology and pathology through I Ching.

  • The comtemporary architecture has not an discourse on form and representative style, but a new architectural concept of the generative process through the various relationship of the urban context, the continuity of the time and the experience of the people. This architectureal concepts make new and various architectural attempts to have a virtuality. The viruality is a reality to coexist with the present in contemporary philosophy. Daniel libeskind makes various arhcitectural experimentative attempts to reveal his virtuality through his memory as the Jews and his unconscious virtuality. The 'line' has the connotation of architectural reality and virtuality. Every line drawn becomes architectural form for example, walls, windows and makes spaces, and reveal a boundary as a connection. Architecture's visibility understates and structures its invisible aspect, so that the visible and the invisible make the architecture together. Daniel libeskind maks the virtual lines having the invisible of unconsious, time, and place. He no longer divide the form of architecture, its spatiality from all the implications which it adresses beyond its own particular built time and place and public unconsious mind. He demands the 'virtual line' that remembers distress and the past and reveal the virtuality of time and place. The virtual line is the sentimental communication of architecture.

A Study on Han Philosophical Approaching to The Daesoon Thoughts (대순사상에 대한 한철학적 접근 방법론에 관한 시론)

  • This paper is designed to show the relationship between the Daesoon Principle and the recent theories like transpersonal psychology(TP) and predicate logic. According to TP there are 3 categories and 8 elements inside of not only human consciousness but civilization; three are pre-ego, ego, trans-ego, and eight are Uroboros, Typhon, Greater Mother, solarization, and repetition of the previous fours. The former is called, for Ken Wilber, the Average mode and the latter, the Advanced mode. I think that Daesoon thought including general Korean National religions belongs to the Advanced mode. I applied the predicate logic or paradoxical logic to understand of the Harmony of God and Man as well as Correspondence of Yin with Yang. The paradoxical logic has been not acceptable through two thousands years in the western tradition. I call the paradoxical logic the E type logic in this paper. The E type logic is most suitable logic for apprehending the Daesoon philosophy to a large extent. Finally my paper may contribute to the globalization of Daesoon mind system.

The Poetics of Language: Reality, Thought, Language and the World

  • The paper argues for the necessicity of revising many fundamental concepts that we use in everyday situations and in communication such as reality, thought, language, the world and finally the truth. The paper develops the argument that what the word ′truth′ actually signifies cannot be addressed just by explicating what philosophy, science or even religion denote but that it can only be answered fully by the study of language and therefore in a larger context linguistics. Language is the very tool that enriches the communication between one another due to its diverse significations that one may use when expressing one′s views, thereby making life more enjoyable. The paper develops why the above corresponding argument should be justified by developing three outstanding views as follows. The world or reality is indistinguishable from the common worldview that we associate with without the means of language. That the worldview is in essence inseparable from the mental and intellectual representation of it and the only means of expression lies with language. And finally, that the language is a complex signification in itself in every aspect. Language in short is the very essence of what we define as being ′poetic.′ With these arguments in mind, we may once again ponder the signification of Nietzsche′s words when he states that "to see science through the lens of art, and art through the lens of life."

On the Taoist Interpretation of Addiction (중독(中毒) 현상의 도가철학적 해석)

  • Modern medical science tends to categorize addiction as a kind of disease, but a Taoist world-view would not consider addiction to be a disease. Taoists do not have a concept of addiction as an eternal substance. Within the Taoist world-view, human beings are meant to live in harmony with the transformative cycles of nature. Human beings achieve self-realization through balancing themselves with nature. This is what is meant by Self-Realization in Harmony with Nature. There is no disease known as addiction when one's life is in harmony with nature. There are two main principles in the Taoist medical worldview. First, is the theory of correspondences. This theory of correspondences is the foundational to Taoism's value-neutral world-view wherein humans are seen as working together with Heaven and Earth in correlative relationships to create harmonious societies. Second, is the principle of harmony and balance in the Universe. One creature can be in harmony with other creatures and learn to appreciate the interconnectedness of all living beings. Survival of the forest is vital to the survival of natural harmony, balance, morality, and environment. The vitality of the human body depends on the movement of Qi energy. According to the principles of Korean traditional medicine, all human problems stem from the mind. There is no madness, no illness, no tempting fate, and even no death outside of what stems from the mind. Within the human body, there are two principles behind energy systems: harmony and balance. When human beings achieve the state of homeostasis, they obtain Qi flows which are associated with the various organs. In doing so, they can always maintain a healthy state of life in accordance with the cosmic rhythm. Taoist philosophy contains advice that prevents addiction. Empty your mind of all thought. Let your heart be peaceful. Finally, all worries are washed away by the cosmic wave.

  • Lee Je-ma define the Mind as Taigi(太極), the mind(or wisdom) and the body(or action) as Liangyi(兩儀), the affair-mind-body-object as Sasang(四象). Sasang(四象) is the method, obtained through combining two different paradigm, by which we can explain existence and phenomenon. The aim of Lee Je-ma's thought is the Wisdom and Action, in other words, the Adjusting Myself through the Wisdom and Action.

The martial arts perforation character is letting in religion and philosophy thought of the Orient.   • This thesis aims at making clear correlation between the controversy that the nature of people and things is equal or different each other and Sung Confucianism, which is closed and discriminative. For this aim, I am looking closely at philosophy-reason prose that deals with the nature of people and things, from the early days of Chosun when Sung Confucianism became a new trend of thought to the later days when the controversy that the nature of people and things is equal or different had begun in earnest. This philosophy-reason prose has had gradual and important change. There are four different view points toward the nature of people and things. According to the first view point, people are the nucleus of the world. For the second one, things are thought to be important enough to be valued, but people are still the only core of the world. The third view point is that people and things are equally important and they are all the core of the world. Finally, the fourth view point regards people inferior to things and it says that things need to instruct people by scolding their bad behavior. There is a correlation between the view point of the nature of people and things and the attitude of an author. If some scholars think that people are the most important nucleus of the world, they tend to consider Sung Confucianism as the only school. On the contrary, other scholars who think that people and things are equal tend to respect other schools with open mind. In conclusion, the heated debates of the 18th century was an acute pain to destroy the closed and discriminative character of Sung Confucianism. It has contributed to innovate the thought toward the nature of people and things and the reformism of practical science have also done important role in the process of modernism's being groped by itself.

A Study on the Two Big Theories of Music Culture in China's Ancient Times (중국전통시기 양대(兩大) 음악문화 고찰)

  • This study looks into the relationship between Chinese philosophy, with a focus on Confucianism and Taoism, and music. Kong zi's Confucius supported, 'Enjoyment without being licentious and grief without being hurtfully excessive', and 'hatred of the music of Zheng'. These ideas do not emphasize the function of music as an expression of emotions, feelings, or desires, and are instead conclusions based on Confucian ideals such as harmony between classes and the spread of benevolent government. Music must coincide with Justice. The hatred of the music of Zheng was a conclusion founded on the idea of a place for Justice in music. Zhuangzi is the source of the spirit of Chinese art; specifically, Zhuangzi's idea of music in relation to its influence on East Asian history of art is extremely influential. In fact, the concept of yuelun is considered the most original and important concept in the history of the East Asian philosophy of art. The most distinctive features of Zhuangzi's theory of music can be summarized as follows. He attempts to liberate music from the restrictions of form and to let music express authentic human feelings and emotions. He also argues that music should not be subjected to politics, as he thinks that the creative mind of an artist can exist only when music is freed from political influence. Confucianism takes a humanistic perspective, while Taoism takes a more naturalistic one. In sum, Confucianism gives weight to the logical and ethical aspects of music, while Taoism emphasizes the intuitional and naturalistic ones.
