This study simplifies the phenomenological theory of viscosity previously proposed by the present authors. This simplified theory has only two thermodynamic properties and one parameter, as opposed to its predecessor, which has many, allowing for easy calculation of the liquid viscosities. The viscosity of liquid metals, an excellent test for checking the validity of the liquid theory, can be calculated using the equation based on the simplified theory. The calculated results by the current theory turn out to be good for the liquid metals, including sodium, potassium, rubbidium, cesium, lead and mercury.

The purpose of this study is to contribute to a understanding the philosophical foundation of Parse's and Watson's theory of nursing. Parse's human becoming Research Methodology, Principle and main concepts are based on existential phenomenology. And Watson's theory of human care indicate that the optimal method for studying and inquiring theory of trans-personal caring is phenomenological-existential methodology. The chief theme of this study ist to illuminate how ideas and concepts of existential phenomenology are applied to Parse's and watson's theory of nursing. Content of this Study are summarized as follow; 1. Principles, concepts, theoretical structure of Man-Living-Health theory were investigated in Parse's theory of nursing as Human science. 2. Essential assumptions, chief concepts and methodology of human science and human care were investigated in Watson's theory of trans- personal caring. 3. Phenomenological analysis of "Human being" und poetic thinking of truth were described in the context of the Heidegger's fundamental ontology und existential phenomenology. 4. Meaning of existential subjectivity, freedom and choice war interpreted according to Sartre's existential philosophy 5. Phenomenological analysis of perception und function of body were investigated in the context of Merleauponty's existential phenomenology. 6. Ultimately this study provided how ideas and concepts of existential phenomenology war applied to Parse's und Watson's nursing theory und methodology.

In this study linear and nonlinear formula were deduced clearly in cases of the free rotational dipole theory and the phenomenological response theory and practical usefullness of formula by these two theories was discussed.

The aim of this study is to review phenomenological characteristics in Steven Holl's architecture through his design of St. Ignatius Chapel at Seattle University. To obtain this purpose, an analytical frame based on Holl's theory of phenomenological architecture is suggested to have a systematic study for St. Ignatius chapel. This chapel can be a good example of phenomenological architecture in that it is based on the concept of 'A Gathering of Different Lights' related to phenomenology and considered perception including multi sensory (as well as vision) as primary factors from site and program interpretation to spatial configuration. Unprecedented exterior of St. Ignatius chapel reflected on characteristics and function of rooms to magnify user's spatial experiences through inducing natural light and spatial effect. Holl used various openings and screen for natural light with colors to invoke religious inspiration. He also try to give spatial depth and multi foci for experiencing space through various ceiling forms. These phenomenological features originated in client's strong will as well as appropriateness of the function of facility's religious experiences through building to the purpose of phenomenological architecture.

The purpose of this study is to apply to the phenomenological self-evaluation method in the social welfare agency. It means that the phenomenological self-evaluation method accepts "the reality" which occurs in the social welfare setting, and functions for the social worker to play dual role of practitioner-evaluator. This paper examines two dimensions of social work evaluation theory and practice. Firstly, this study is to investigate a trend of evaluation in social work setting, and seeks theoretical aspect of phenomenological self-evaluation method, with emphasis on the strength and limit of the positivism evaluation methods. Although qualitative evaluation was suggested to make an alternative to the positivism by qualitative researchers, they did not suggest the specific methods and roles of the practitioner-evaluator. In this study, two directions of the phenomenological self-evaluation method are suggested to overcome the limitations. which are "environment-relation self-evaluation" and "program-oriented self-evaluation". Secondly, the result of phenomenological self-evaluation studies for the social welfare community center program and organization in kangnam district from June, 1994 (Program-oriented self-evaluation) to march, 2000 (Environment-relation self-evaluation) are presented. the phenomenological self-evaluation study showed the expected outcome such as; reflective self-training, making a practice knowledge, enhancing service quality, and reinforcing the identity of social welfare profession.

The aim of this study is to review phenomenological characteristics in Alvaro Siza's works through his design intention, methods and results. As a Portuguese architect, his personal and local background as well as pursuing the essence of architecture made phenomenological characteristics of his works. The emphasis of the placeness of site and the existence of architecture has close relationship with Heidegger's concept of dwelling and the role of architecture. Although Siza has maintained white plat plane of interior space which is one of features of modern architecture, he provides dramatic and dynamic experiences of space using curved and acute angle of plane in his latter part of works. Another his phenomenological nature of buildings is a striking display of space and light which is remarkable especially in his museum designs. He made this character in adopting various shapes of double ceilings, openings and their combination with natural light which he always emphasizes. As a result, Alvaro Siza's phenomenological characteristics comes not from clear architectural or philosophical theory but from continuous practice based on pursuing the essence of architecture.

The coexistence of the superconductivity and magnetism in the Ho1-xDyxNi2B2C is studied by using Ginzburg-Landau theory. This material violates the standard do Gennes scaling showing the coexistence and complex interplay of superconducting and magnetic order yielding an anomalous phase diagram. We propose a phenomenological model which includes two magnetic and two superconducting order parameters accounting for the multi-band structure of this material. We describe the magnetic fluctuations and order and demonstrate that they lead to anomalous behavior of the upper critical field. The doping dependence of Tc in Ho1-xDyxNi2B2C showing a reentrance behavior are analyzed yielding a very good agreement with experimental data.

전형적인 정성적 퍼지형태의 입력데이타를 가진, 주어진 사고진행사건수목의 일부분에 대하여 퍼지집합이론(fuzzy set theory)의 응용 예를 먼저 보여주고, 이 예를 통해서 퍼지집합이론을 사고 진행사건수목에 적용하기 위해 적절한 계산알고리즘을 찾아내고 또 예를 들어 설명하였다. 그리고, 간단한 예제에 사용한 계산절차를 많은 현상학적 불확실성 인자를 포함한 아주 복잡한 사고진행사건수목 즉, 최근 Zion 발전소 위험도평가(PRA)에 사용된 전형적인 발전소 손상군의 하나인‘SEC’에 응용해서 적용하였다. 퍼지집합이론으로 평가한 계산값들의 퍼지평균치들은 최근 통계적 PRA 평가 방법론으로 얻는 값들의 평균치와 거의 같은 결과를 보여주고 있다. 본 논문의 주요목적은 부정확하고 또 정성적인 분기점확률이나 또는 많은 현상학적 불확실성 인자들을 가진 사고진행사건수목들에 이 퍼지집합이론을 적용하기 위한 공식적 계산절차를 제공하는데 있다.

By using Pak's theory of liquid, a phenomenological theory of viscosity proposed by the authors is applied to liquids under high pressures. The calculated viscosities for various simple substances are in good agreements with those of the observed values over wide pressure ranges.

The aim of this study is to find phenomenological characteristics in the background and contents of Kenneth Frampton's architectural theories and their contribution to architectural phenomenology. His theories reflect on the interpretations of Modern architecture synchronically and diachronically. This difference makes Frampton have more concrete direction for architectural phenomenology. Hanna Arendt, who contribute to form Frampton's architectural theory, introduced various concepts of Heidegger's phenomenology to Frampton. And criticism of image centered late capitalism also act as a background for Frampton to relate to phenomenology. Frampton emphasized the importance of 'critical regionalism' and 'tectonic' as a poetics of construction as the resistance of globalization. All of these have relations to 'place' and 'perception' that are main themes of phenomenology. Frampton explains his theory with phenomenological terms and above all things, he assimilates concerns of architectural phenomenology with critical thinking. In these aspects, his theories can be recognized as playing an important role to the development of architectural phenomenology.
