Objectives: The purpose of this study is to reveal the phenomenological meaning and experience of alcohol craving experienced by alcoholics through qualitative research. Methods: From November 8, 2020 to October 10, 2022, in-depth interviews were conducted with four recovering alcoholics within two years of a single week who were diagnosed with alcoholism in the past and had been hospitalized for alcoholism problems. The data were analyzed using phenomenological qualitative research methods. Results: The alcohol craving experienced by alcoholics worked in connection with the life of alcoholics. Alcohol intensity was not entirely determined by external factors, but varied by the individual's internal state and circumstances surrounding the individual, and cravings were found to be classified into when control and intervention were possible. Also, the power to neutralize alcohol cravings was a warm 'self-compassion' mind. Conclusion: This study presented a new perspective on alcohol craving, and based on this perspective, the necessity of developing an alcohol addiction prevention program and a recurrence prevention program was presented. In addition, the basis for emphasizing the necessity of complete abstinence in health education services for preventing alcohol and preventing recurrence in the community was presented.

The purpose of this study is to help Counseling & Coaching(C&C) service and marketing by understanding C&C professionals' perception about the fourth industrial age. The qualitative research method of phenomenology was utilized in this study. In-depth personal interviews of 5 C&C Specialist with more than 10 years of experience in the C&C service setting were conducted using the records from May, 2018 to July, 2018. Content analysis was done using the Colaizzi' phenomenological method. The results based on the data analysis, 20 descriptive statements and 5 themes were confirmed. The 5 themes were as followed; 'A growing interest', 'Psychological burden of change' 'New hope through convergence', 'Do not move to action', and 'Think about new strategies'. This study helps to recognize counseling coaching professionals who are preparing for the fourth industrial age. The results can be used as a starting point for identifying the knowledge ecosystem and activating the counseling coaching service in the fourth industrial age.

This study was a phenomenological approach to the substance and meaning of large-group discussion activities in the kindergarten. Results of this study showed phenomena of the management of large-group discussion to be : 1) interchange in the natural fields of knowledge, 2) the fields of shared laughter and humor, 3) the exchange of glances individually between a teacher and children as well as children to children, 4) a bridge to connect one activity to another, 5) the guarantee of freedom in the limited space while keeping order, 6) the making of a way to connect individual children's inner self with the world, 7) conflicts between standardized themes and generated themes.

This study aims to understand time experiences of mothers in child counseling and to investigate the meanings of their experience of time. Phenomenological perspectives and attitudes were adopted as the basic methodology. Participants were five mothers who were interviewed in depth on their time experiences in child counseling. The data were organized by the following contents : (1) Time for compensation, (2) conscious immersion, (3) stagnation, (4) infiniteness and finiteness of time, and (5) facing the past. Based on the results, the researcher interpreted three meanings discovered in the mothers' time experiences; (1) Reconstructed time : Healing, (2) The child becomes a mirror reflecting the mother, and (3) A new beginning.

In this study, the stress and experience of overcoming stress by on-site missionaries who rescue North Korean defectors was investigated in depth through a phenomenological approach. To this end, 7 missionaries with more than 5 years of experience in North Korean missionary mission were selected, and in-depth interviews and written interviews were conducted once. The collected data were analyzed through the phenomenological research methods of Giorgi and Colaizzi. The results were categorized into 'calling and obedience', 'mission and stress', 'anxiety situation and stress', 'stress situation and frustration', 'stress experience and psychological change', 'self insight and overcoming stress', 'resolution and recovery of stress', and 'new determination and rededication'. By researching and analyzing the stress and stress experience of the missionaries who rescue North Korean defectors in the field, this study has significance for helping missionaries continue to help them through managing and overcoming their stress.

This study reported phenomenological analysis of the interviews with 26 adult grandchildren who had(or have) a cohabitation with grandparents. The research question was what adult grandchildren experienced in living with grandparents. Results indicated that "the aged" was described as generous and wise person, so they had positive attitude toward the elderly. Participants perceived level of benefits of the coresidence with grandparents were higher than the costs in instrumental, material, and emotional supports. The relationship between grandparents and parents was generally intimate. It makes adult grandchildren advocate parents living together in the future. But adult grandchildren plan to get along independently when they grow old.

When a fire breaks out, it is difficult to find out the causes of the fire, because combustible things around fire scene are usually burnt away. Among many causes of fires are electronic wires, this thesis deal with the destroyed sheath of electronic wires caused by fire. It was studied with the use of measurement devices focusing on the distinctions of wires and conductors. This study especially emphasized the process of deterioration, burning pattern, and composition of electronic wire conductor. It also has a phenomenological approach to the distinctive cause of fire by some partial force. The fire prevention methods have been suggested through the analysing results of fire patterns. This study is expected to be a useful material for analyzing various electrical fires.

The purpose of this study was to understand the vivid realities of important technical and relational aspects of visual art that were emphasised during training by art therapy supervisors and educators. Max van Manen's hermeneutic phenomenological methodology was incorporated into the study. Summarising their main experiences, art therapy supervisors enabled experiences of reproducibility and immediacy in their supervision, and allowed visual art to be used as a tool to foster inner contact with their supervisees. To enable this experience, art therapy supervisors provided a creative foundation and a receptive environment that promoted creativity for supervisees to use and experience art beyond the role of passive viewers. The results of this research clarified how the participating supervisors interpreted the value of art therapy as a method to nurture the professional growth of trainees. Their contributions suggest experiences and methods that may effectuate future advancements in the field of art therapy supervision.

This study is to review phenomenology as a legitimate research methodology in mathematics education. Phenomenology is considered a perspective which will be able to provide varieties of viewpoints for mathematics education. Phenomenology is a research about phenomena and experience, and phenomenological research is to reveal the meanings from persons who experience something that researcher is interested in. Through such review, this study is to identify if phenomenology has potential possibility to open as a qualitative research methodology in mathematics education. In order to doing this, this study has reviewed the trend of qualitative research methods in mathematics education, major concepts of phenomenology, phenomenological attitudes for phenomenological research, and the methods and procedures for phenomenological research. The major conclusions are as the followings: the focus of lived-experience in mathematics education, the importance of recognizing life world in mathematics education, and the essence of general phenomena and the meanings of experience general in mathematics education.

The design of space, which focuses on human senses and perception, has become more prominent. It can be understood as the space needed for a field of experience. Phenomenological attitude focuses on the relations between human in the context of their environment. The experiences generated were used as a method of design. The method guides a formation of active space through phenomenological experience in interior space as well as architecture. To stimulate a phenomenological sensitive experience, the parameters for certain experiences were connected to the five senses, finally creating a concrete space. Water, light, air, vapor, and earth as architectural media are connected to the five senses and lead to intermediation from abstract to actual. In particular, water is deeply rooted in peoples subconsciousness and stimulates our instincts. Using water by effectively combining its symbols and physical characteristics will be a method to reinforce the experience with a given space. This study will examine the need for space experience and characteristics of water as an essential elements for perception experience and present possible experimental design.
