위상차-주파수 다중 파라미터 조절에 의한 초음파 모터 속도 특성 (A Speed Characteristics of the Ultrasonic Motor by the Multi-Parameters adjustment with Phase difference-Frequency)

  • In this study, we designed and made Ultrasonic motor-digital multi controller(USM-DMC) using FPGA chip, A54SX72A made in Actel Corporation. By the minute, USM-DMC can adjust the frequency, duty ratio, and phase difference parameters of USM by digital input to be each 11bit from PC. Therefore, when we use this controller, it is possible to apply typical three parameters individually as well as multi-parameters simultaneously to control the speed and the torque. What is more, the strongest point is that it can trace frequency based on optimized frequency as compared with the phase difference because we can input optimized resonant frequency while in motoring. And we test the speed of USM with the adjustment of multi-parameters, the phase difference-frequency. As the result of the test, in the case of the multi-parameters of the phase difference and frequency, the speed characteristic is more linear and stable, and wider in the range of control than the single-parameter of the phase difference or the frequency.

보정된 Scatterometer의 측정데이터를 사용한 SAR 데이터 교정 (SAR Data Correction Based on Calibrated-Scatterometer Measurements)

  • 본 논문에서는 calibration된 scatterometer를 이용하여 SAR 데이터를 보정하는 연구 결과를 선보인다. 도체구를 이용하여 안테나 주빔에서의 polarimetric한 안테나 패턴(크기와 위상)을 측정하고, 이 데이터를 이용하여 차량 탑재형 네트워크 분석기형 scatterometer 시스템을 polarimetric하게 정확하게 보정하였다. 이 scatterometer를 이용하면 잔디밭, 논, 맨땅 등의 지표면에 대한 정확한 Mueller 행렬을 얻을 수 있으므로, 레이더 산란계수뿐만 아니라 위상변수들도 정확하게 측정하게 된다. 또한, 대부분의 SAR 시스템에는 위상변수 측정에 에러가 있게되고, polarimetric하게 보정된 scatterometer로 SAR가 측정하는 지역을 동시에 측정하여 SAR 데이터를 교정할 수 있다. 이러한 polarimetric한 보정 방법을 이용하면, 산란계수의 보정효과는 크지 않으나, hh-편파와 vv-편파간의 위상변수인 degree of correlation $\alpha$의 보정효과는 매우 큼을 알 수 있었다.

  • The ultrasonic motor(USM) has good characteristics such as compact size, silent motion, low speed, high torque and high speed response. The USM is driven by 2-phase AC electricity. The control parameters of USM are voltage, phase difference, frequency of input power, etc. In this paper, we propose voltage difference control. And we designed USM controller to adjust voltage and phase using pLSI(programmable Large Scale Integration). Voltage difference control has many advantages that are lower current, lower power than phase difference control. Especially there is nearly zero ampere at the zero point of speed and torque. we can apply this voltage difference control to the compliance control of DD manipulator.

  • This paper presents a digital control solution which can extract the reactor parameters in atmosphere plasma power supply. The critical issue of the atmosphere plasma power supply is a impedance matching. For the impedance matching, the reactor parameters should be known, but the parameters depend on the reactors. Therefore, the reactor parameters have to measure for the impedance matching. The proposed method is performed by detection of phase difference between inverter voltage and current, and extraction of impedance through active, reactive power.

이축성과 위상차의 영향을 고려한 이축 하중하에서 구멍 주위에서의 피로 균열 발생 방향 예측 (Prediction of Fatigue Crack Initiation Direction around a Hole under Biaxial Loads Considering Phase Difference and Biaxiality)

  • To predict the direction of the fatigue crack initiated from a hole under various types of biaxial fatigue loads with different phase difference and biaxiality, fatigue parameters were investigated. Axial and torsional biaxial fatigue loads were selected with the respective combination of five different phase differences of 0, 45, 90, 145 and 180 degrees and five biaxialities of 0, $1/{\sqrt{3}}$, 1, ${\sqrt{3}}$, ${\infty}$. Directions of the fatigue crack initiation around the hole were found to approach to the circumferential direction of the specimen with increment of the phase difference for fatigue tests with phase differences less than $90^{\circ}$. Whereas directions for tests with phase differences greater than $90^{\circ}$ went away from the circumferential direction and those were symmetric to the directions for tests with phase difference less than $90^{\circ}$. With increase of biaxilities, the fatigue crack initiated more apart from the circumferential direction of the specimen. These crack initiation direction were predicted using maximum tangential stress range and maximum shear stress range obtained at far-field and around the hole. Comparing these two stress parameters, The crack initiation direction can be successfully explained by using the direction of the maximum tangential stress range obtained around the hole and at far-field.

  • A low temperature difference model Stirling engine is a small Stirling engine running with several degree of temperature difference without power output. In this study, the design parameters to give maximum power are discussed. As results, the phase angle is about 100 degree, and compression ratio is 1.5% of the ratio of heat source temperatures at maximum power condition.

  • 초음파 모터(ultrasonic motor : USM)는 압전 세라믹소자(piezoelectric ceramics)의 초음파 진동을 이용한 마찰 구동형 모터이다. 기존의 전자식 모터와는 달리 자기화로 즉 철심과 코일이 없는 단순 구조를 갖는 특수 소형 모터로서 저속 고토오크의 특성을 지니고 있으므로 다이랙트 드라이브 방식의 액츄에이터로 활용이 가능하다. 그리고 자장이 강한 특수 환경에서도 외란의 영향을 받지 않아도 산업계 전바에 걸쳐 제어용 모터로서 높이 평가받고 있다. 따라서 실용화를 위한 여러 가지 파라미터에 대한 특성 실험과 그에 따른 제어법 개발이 시급하다. 본 논문에서는 2상 입력 전원의 전압차 제어(voltags)를 제안한다. 먼저 전압차 제어에 의하여 이론적으로 고찰하고 초음파 모터의 구동원이 되는 고정자의 한 질점에서 발생하는 타원 궤적을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 알아봄으로써 초음파 모터의 속도와 토오크 특성을 예측하였다. 그리고 입력 전압워 전압차를 조절하여 초음파 모터의 속도와 토오트 특성을 실험하였다. 그 결과를 토대로 전압차 제어가 초음파 모터의 새로운 구동 방식이 될 수 있음을 밝혔다.

헤테로다인 광 위상 고정 루프 연구 (A Study on the Heterodyned Optical Phase Locked Loop)

  • 본 논문에서는 OPLL의 기술적 구성 요소인 주파수 및 위상 차이 검출기, 루프 여파기, VCO 반도체 레이저의 위상 잡음 설계에 대하여 이론적으로 검토하였으며, 설계 파라미터들을 도출하였다. 계산된 파라미터들로 구현한 설계 및 실험 결과, 주파수 및 위상 검출기는 헤테로다인된 차이 주파수와 1.5 GHz 기준 주파수 사이의 에러 성분을 이론식에 맞게 추출하였으며, 주파수 및 위상 고정 범위는 ${\pm}150MHz$이었다. 본 논문은 헤테로다인 위상 고정 루프 구현에 대한 설계 및 실험 결과를 기술하였다.

Measurement of electron density of atmospheric pressure Ar plasma jet by using Michelson interferometer

  • Currently, as Plasma application is expanded to the industrial and medical industrial, low temperature plasma applications became important. Especially in medical and biology, many researchers have studied about generated radical species in atmospheric pressure low temperature plasma directly adapted to human body. Therefore, so measurement their plasma parameter is very important work and is widely studied all around world. One of the plasma parameters is electron density and it is closely relative to radical production through the plasma source. some kinds of method to measuring the electron density are Thomson scattering spectroscopy and Millimeter-wave transmission measurement. But most methods have very expensive cost and complex configuration to composed of experiment system. We selected Michelson interferometer system which is very cheap and simple to setting up, so we tried to measuring electron density by laser interferometer with laser beam chopping module for measurement of temporal phase difference in plasma jet. To measuring electron density at atmospheric pressure Ar plasma jet, we obtained the temporal phase shift signal of interferometer. Phase difference of interferometer can occur because of change by refractive index of electron density in plasma jet. The electron density was able to estimate with this phase difference values by using physical formula about refractive index change of external electromagnetic wave in plasma. Our guiding laser used Helium-Neon laser of the centered wavelength of 632 nm. We installed chopper module which can make a 4kHz pulse laser signal at the laser front side. In this experiment, we obtained more exact synchronized phase difference between with and without plasma jet than reported data at last year. Especially, we found the phase difference between time range of discharge current. Electron density is changed from Townsend discharge's electron bombardment, so we observed the phase difference phenomenon and calculated the temporal electron density by using phase shift. In our result, we suggest that the electron density have approximately range between 1014~ 1015 cm-3 in atmospheric pressure Ar plasma jet.

A Semi-empirical Model for Polarimetric Radar Backscattering from Bare Soil Surfaces

  • A semi-empirical polarimetric backscattering model for bare soil surfaces is presented. Based on measurements by using polarimetric scatterometers and the JPL AirSAR, as well as the theoretical models, the backscattering coefficints $\sigma$$^0_w$, $\sigma$$^0_{hh}$ and $\sigma$$^0_{vh}$, and the parameters of the copolarized phase-difference probability density function, namely the degree of correlation $\alpha$ and the copolarized-phase-difference $\zeta$, are modeled empirically in terms of the volumetric soil moisture content m$_v$ and the surface roughness parameters $k_s$ and $k_l$, where k=2$\pi$f/c, s is the rms height and l is the correlation length.
