Wireless Internet has to offer various types of services as much as wired network does in the scope of Internet business. The browser for simple data service using SMS in the early wireless internet cannot serve various multimedia contents. In this paper, We design and implement a Java browser that runs Java program, by adding JVM(Java Virtual Machine) into the web browser for mobile terminals. The Java browser for mobile terminals dynamically loads various Java program you want. This browser makes it possible to be multipurpose mobile terminals for E-Commerce, E-Wallet, Game Device.

The recent push for healthcare reform has caused healthcare organizations to focus on ways to streamlined processes in order to secure high quality care as well as reducing costs. Healthcare enterprises involve complex processes that span diverse groups and organizations. These processes involve clinical and administrative tasks, large quantities of data, and large number of patients and personnel. We propose the mobile-based workflow system of passable communication as an important factor in the B2B healthcare. Based on the above proposal the workflow system of business process was designed and implemented on the basis of Java, UML and XPDL.

Inspection of an Electrical Meter is an action of measuring power usage to charge electricity rates and Electricity AMR(Automatic Meter Reading) is a system to automatize the action. AMR has been highlighted because it can reduce metering cost by substituting an automatic system for personnel and strengthen customer service. In this paper, we proposed and developed a smart card based AMR framework SCEMS as an alternative to other current AMR Models. This proposed SCEMS uses a java card based multi-application smart card and supports customer service such as various meter rates according to electricity consumption pattern data per household and transaction data that are accumulated in a smart card. This research can be a solution to the problems such as diversity, heterogeneity, and complexity that environmental changes will cause soon to the power supply industry.

This paper describes an e-Engineering framework to support collaborative design of automotive suspension systems developed at KIMM(Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials). The e-Engineering framework is proposed and developed on the base of the multi-layered software agents including engineering task agent which is generated from the domain knowledge of experts. The developed framework is aim to widely spread application to the small and medium enterprises by adopting open source technologies such as JADE (Java Agent Development Framework) and by using the independent characteristics related with applicant H/W and 81W system. This framework can provide an integrated design environment to support distributed personnel, design activities and engineering resources during product development process. For the validation of the system's applicability and efficiency, the several practical design processes for automotive suspension systems of RR/FR lower arms and RR cross member are applied and discussed.

Recently, according to the establishment of personal information protection Act, the public and private organizations are taking a step to protect personal information rights and interests by employing the technical methods such as the access control mechanism, cryptography, etc. The result of the personal information leakage causes a serious damage for the organization image and also has to face with the responsibility by law. However, applying access control and cryptographic approach on the personal information item for every connection to large database system causes significant performance degradation in a large database system. In this paper, we designed and implemented the light weight system using JVM (Java Virtual Machine) for the Oracle DBMS environment which the concurrent transaction occurs many, thereby the proposed system provides the minimum impact on the system performance and meets the need of personal information protection. The proposed system was validated on the personal information protection system which sits on a 'A' public organization's portal site and personnel information management system.

This paper introduces the development of an integrated design system using Service-Oriented Architecture. The system is proposed and being developed based on several advanced technologies, such as multi-agents, Internet/web Service, workflow, database and is aiming to provide the successful fulfill our target of integrating personnel, design activities and engineering resources along a predefined engineering design project (workflow) during product development process. By using SOA concept, the system tries to separates the engineering process into the engineering knowledge and the usage of engineering tool. Consequently, the computing resources in organization can be fully utilized and thus the cost can be reduced. The system is being designed and developed on the base of JADE (Java Agent DEvelopment Framework).

A log is for text monitoring and perceiving the issues of a system during the development and operation of a program. Based on the log, system developers and operators can trace the cause of an issue. In the development phase, it is relatively simple for a log to be traced while there are only a small number of personnel uses of a system such as developers and testers. However, it is the difficult to trace a log when many people can use the system in the operation phase. In major cases, because a log cannot be tracked, even tracing is dropped. This study proposed a simplified tracing of a log during the system operation. Thus, the purpose is to create a log on the run time based on an ID/IP, using features provided by the Logback. It saves an ID/IP of the tracking user on a DB, and loads the user's ID/IP onto the memory to trace once WAS starts running. Before the online service operates, an Interceptor is executed to decide whether to load a log file, and then it generates the service requested by a certain user in a separate log file. The load is insignificant since the arithmetic operation occurs in a JVM, although every service must pass through the Interceptor to be executed.

Recently, Internet based Electronic Commerce is recognized as one of the alternatives for strengthening sales power of small and medium companies. However, small and medium manufacturers can't adjust properly to the new environment because they are in short of money, personnel, and technology. To cope with this problem, this paper deals with the development of virtual manufacturing agent to support sales agent. The sales activity of most of parts manufacturing companies is based on orders of buyers. The process of promotion, receipt and selection of orders of the parts manufacturing is closely coupled with the load status of the production lines. On deciding whether to accept an order or not, as well as negotiating with buyers, sales person needs information such as load and schedule of production lines, manufacturability of the order. Therefore, the functions of virtual manufacturing agents manufacturability analysis, process planning, and scheduling are key features in developing an agent of sales activity for the parts manufacturing business. While most of research on virtual manufacturing system so far is focused on the simulation of each product, this paper deals with the development of agent assisting internet-based product sales by supporting production information promptly. The pilot system of virtual manufacturing agent is implemented using KQML-based agent template and Java-based expert system shell for a small molding company.
