This causal quantitative research aims to investigate the influence of factors that determine the performance of employees in Indonesian universities. The factors are crucial for organizations in the achievement of their goals. Based on theoretical studies, three independent variables, namely, training, personality, and work motivation were tested for their influence on employee performance, which was the dependent variable. Primary data were obtained from 94 respondents of a total population of 122 individuals at the Education Quality Assurance Institute (LPMP) in Banten Province, Indonesia. They were tested by the normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov approach to ensure their normally distributed population and the linearity test to measure the significant linear relationship between the two variables. There are five hypotheses in this study. Each hypothesis tested by the F-test to determine the significant effect of all independent variables on the dependent variable, and t-test to analyze the effect. The results of this study answered all hypotheses of the research model. There is a positive direct effect of training and personality on work motivation. Both training and personality also affect positively employee performance. Another finding of this study is that employee performance is positively and directly affected by work motivation.

The purpose of this study was to obtain the basic data for developing more advanced courses on character education by surveying and analyzing the perception and demands of character education of university students and further, to provide useful information for creating institutional protocol on character education. The study was conducted from April 2018 to May 2018 on students attending the departments of non-health science and health science university students. A total of 206 students participated in this study, and all the students in the non-health science and health science departments were found to be highly aware of the need for character education, its importance and the possibility of personality development through learning. Students from all the departments showed high levels on average in terms of self-understanding according to their personality abilities, and especially their high levels of 'consideration' and 'responsibility'. For the differences in perception of self-efficacy, the lowest level of recognition was for 'will' and the average values were not high. In their response to personality level, all students answered that their personality was 'high' (42.1%), and that the personality education courses at the schools they are currently attending were 'not satisfied' with both the non-health science and health science students. As a result, there were higher results overall for the health science students than that for the non-health science students, but there were not many significant differences. To this end, education institutes will have to prepare conditions for university students to cultivate their expertise in character, while at the same time helping them grow into human beings with the qualities demanded by society. In addition, the government should establish curriculums and content by accurately identifying the needs of character education and devising concrete measures for their implementation, and by more faithfully considering quantitative and qualitative context types for the content base of character education.
This study investigated science self-efficacy, sources of science self-efficacy, and creative personality by grade and gender. For this study, 495 $3^{rd}-6^{th}$ elementary students were participated. The findings showed that there was no significant difference by grade and gender in science self-efficacy. In sources of science self-efficacy, there was significant differences by gender, but not by grade. $3^{rd}$ and $4^{th}$ graders' scores about 'vicarious experiences' and 'physiological and affective states' were higher than the those of $5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ graders. Among creative personality, $3^{rd}$ and $4^{th}$ graders' scores about 'motivation' and 'challenge' were higher than those of $5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ graders. Comparing the scores among sources of science self-efficacy, the mean scores of 'social persuasion' were relatively low than other sources. This showed that praises and encouragement of teacher, parents and friends had not been sufficient. In terms of variables' influences on science self-efficacy, multiple regression results showed that 'mastery experiences' in sources of science self-efficacy had the most explanatory power and 'social persuasion' had the second explanatory power. 'Patience' in creative personality showed the third explanatory power. The variables' influences on science self-efficacy showed differences by grade and gender.
The purpose of this study is to identify differences in job-seeking efficacy and personality five factors between participants in the college's job support program and non-participants. The survey was conducted on 382 undergraduate students from D University in North Gyeongsang Province. Also, the difference between participants and non-participants in the job support program was verified. The principal results were as follows. First, the results showed that job-seeking efficacy of participants in job support programs was higher than that of non-participants. Second, difference between participants and non-participants in the job support program. In other words, extroversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness among the five personality traits showed that participants in the job support program were higher than non-participants, while neurology and openness were not significant. The findings of this study indicated that personality traits may affect that participants can influence whether or not they participate in job support programs, indicating the need to come up with measures to encourage non-participating groups in the job support program to participate.

This study aims to verify the effects of the sewing practice class, developed for the cultivation of creativity and personality, the two qualities that the Korean Department of Education tried to emphasize in 2009 national curriculum. We conducted a single-group pretest-posttest experiment with the developed sewing practice class as a treatment. Results are as follows. First, the comparison results of before and after the developed sewing practice class showed that there were meaningful differences in creativity and its subfactors such as divergent thinking skill, problem solving ability, open-mindedness and patience. This is because in-class activities such as coming up with ideas by group discussion, creative activities and problem-solving experiences make the students be aware that they are the hosts of the class. It also affected their abilities of producing creative ideas and solving problems proactively. Second, the developed sewing practice class had an impact on students' personality and its subfactors like responsibility, diligence, consideration, communication skill, and collaborative ability. This practice class is based on personal activities which lead to the completion of the group assignment. This has not only emphasized individual responsibilities, but also highlighted the completion of group work and encouraged the flow of communication and cooperation among students. As a result, we concluded that this practice class helped nourish the participating students' personality.
This study was conducted to present implications for mathematics education by identifying the structural relationship among personality, negative emotion, motivation, and career maturity that affects elementary school student's mathematical academic achievement. The participants conveniently sampled 179 students, from 4th to 6th graders enrolled in the same elementary school, and data on their psychological variables were collected in the form of secondary data. The hypothetical structural equation model established based on prior studies was verified with a two-stage approach based on the collected data. It was confirmed that construct validity and construct reliability were secured through assessing the measurement model. In addition, as a result of analyzing the path coefficient of the final structural equation model, five paths were found to be significant: 'personality→motivation', 'personality→career maturity', 'negative emotion→motivation', and 'negative motivation→mathematical academic achievement'. In particular, the path of 'negative emotion→negative motivation→mathematics academic achievement' that can be confirmed through the results needs to moderate negative emotions to improve mathematical academic achievement, and at this time, negative motivation should be considered together.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the perception and expectation made by parents, regarding the goal, methods and management of kindergarten education. The study is designed to identify social needs for the early childhood education and to produce some important information necessary for the development of education programs for kindergarteners and for the management of a kindergarten. As subjects of the study, 623 mothers of kindergartens were sampled from kindergartens. The researcher constructed a questionnaire of multiple-choice type for surveying opinions of the subjects, based on the analysis of curriculum materials published by Korean Ministry of Education. In data analysis, frequency of response on each item of the questionnaire was tabulated, and chi-square test was applied for testing the difference between independent samples. The results of the study are summarized as followings: First, parents feel kindergarten education necessary because 'interaction with peers' itself must be an important condition for socialization of younger children. For an 'ideal personality' to be pursued in kindergarten education, parents place 'moral personality' in the first priority.' And for educational objective of kindergarten they select 'development of cooperative attitude' as the most important one. Second, 'play method' is emphasized by parents as the most desirable educational method for kindergartener. Third, they think it is necessary for parents to participate in the management of kindergarten. And they also feel that parents of kindergartener should be educated on the early childhood education. Fourth, parents emphasize that the early childhood education should be integrated into a public educational system in order to provide equal educational opportunity for all preschoolers.

As defined by the experts, safety education is the basic method through which people can protect themselves from the dangers in workplace. Therefore, safety education is an important safety measure that can be effectively utilized in disaster prevention without any certain limit. The current practice of safety education in construction sites, however, is all formal and has no substance. Safety education became a mere boring time to workers since the material is not related to them, and does not reflect the individual personalities, which cannot induce voluntary participation of workers. Thus, it is vital to develop various safety education models suitable for individual personalities of construction workers. This study aims to provide the basic data necessary to establish safety education models according to individual personalities of construction workers. Based on the analysis of the preliminary stuff and interviews, the typical individual personalities of construction workers and safety education factors were examined, and the frameworks for each were established. Based on results of applying them to actual cases, directions to improve safety education in construction sites are presented.

The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationships among the Big Five personality traits, self-esteem, job satisfaction, and life satisfaction of employees and to investigate how these relationships vary depend on gender. Using data from 1183 employees from the 18th and 19th Korean Labor and Income Panel Study (KLIPS) in 2015 and 2016, we investigate the structural relationships among variables including multi-group path analysis by gender. This study found that openness to experience(${\beta}=.07$), conscientiousness(${\beta}=.19$), and extraversion(${\beta}=.09$) were positively associated with employees' self-esteem while neuroticism was negatively associated(${\beta}=-.09$). Second, only neuroticism among the Big Five personality traits was significantly related to job satisfaction(${\beta}=.08$). Third, conscientiousness(${\beta}=.08$) and agreeableness(${\beta}=.09$) were significantly related to life satisfaction. Fourth, self-esteem positively affected career satisfaction(${\beta}=.31$) and life satisfaction(${\beta}=.29$). Fifth, self-esteem mediated the links between all Big Five personality traits, except agreeableness, as well as job and life satisfaction. Sixth, the effect of extraversion on life satisfaction had differences between male and female. These results imply that self-esteem enhancement program based on the Big Five personality traits should be implemented in order to improve employee's job and life satisfaction.

This study designed and developed a model of ill-structured problem solving and ill-structured problems for the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. In addition, two sets of ill-structured problems has been explored to 23 4th graders, 33 5th graders, and 23 6th graders in elementary schools in order to investigate their problem solving, creative personality, and mathematical reasoning. The model of ill-structured problem solving was suggested ABCDE (Analyze-Browse-Create-DecisionMaking-Evaluate) model and analyzed participants' problem solving procedure. As results, participants showed improvement between pretest and posttest in problem solving and the high graders showed the greater creative personality.
