The personal health record platform can store and manage medical records, health-monitoring data such as blood pressure and blood sugar, and life logs generated from various wearable devices. It provides services such as international standard-based medical document management, data pattern analysis and an intelligent inference engine, and disease prediction and domain contents. This study aims to construct a foundation for the transmission of international standard-based medical documents by mapping the diagnosis items of a general health examination, special health examination, life logs, health data, and life habits with the international standard terminology systems. The results of mapping with international standard terminology systems show a high mapping rate of 95.6%, with 78.8% for LOINC, 10.3% for SNOMED, and 6.5% when mapped with both LOINC and SNOMED.

As the elderly population increases, real-time personal health monitoring is gaining new ground with advances in wireless communications. Such an approach is particularly beneficial to elderly and physically challenged people, as well as those who live alone and are not be able to seek help in case of medical emergencies. The aim of this study is to implement a wearable band which monitors personal vital signs, such as the body temperature and heart rate, and assists with healthcare decisions using a fuzzy logic based decision support system. Since the vital sign data measured from sensors are imprecise and their normal variation with age is nonlinear and not crisp, a fuzzy system is employed to deal with this imprecise or uncertain information. The proposed wearable band is designed to continuously capture and transmit vital signs and healthcare decisions to suitable apps developed for smartphones. In this way, health alerts can be sent to the guardian or caregiver who is registered in the apps.

As growing up of elderly population, the interesting on healthcare system in normal life using W is increasing. An integrated u-healthcare service architecture with IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.15.4 based sensor network and code divisi(m multiple access(CDMA) public mobile telecommunication networks was designed and developed. Sensor nodes with electrocardiogram(ECG), body core temperature sensors are attached on the patients' body. The healthcare parameters are transferred to web server via CDMA mobile network or through existed LAN network. The existed LAN network is suggested to be used for continuous monitoring of patient's health status in hospital while mobile networks can be used for general purpose at home or outdoor where infra networks unavailable. This system enable healthcare personal to be able to continuously access, review, monitor and transmit the patients information whereever they are, whenever they want. And immediately check their status by using cellular phone and obtain detail information by communication with medical information server through CDMA. By using this developed integrated u-healthcare service architecture, we can monitor patients' health status for 24 hours.

From the point of view of u-healthcare, heart rate is so useful for both illness for taking care of patients and wellness for improving the level of health and wellbeing. It is because heart rate is a significant clinical variable for all kinds of diseases as well as an indicator of the intensity of exercise. Recently, a number of various wearable heart rate monitors have been released to check people's status in the body by monitoring their heart rates. In addition, a number of smartphone applications have been released to conveniently monitor the status of exercise by using heart rate monitors. However, all of these applications are limited to a personal usage. In this paper, we will design a system to simultaneously monitor heart rates coming from multiple users in a real-time, and develop an Android application to apply the system. The application mainly features a simultaneous monitoring of heart rates coming from multiple users, allowing to be effectively applied to fitness centers.

Recent technological advances have increased interest in personal health monitoring. Electrocardiogram(ECG) monitoring is a basic healthcare activity and can provide decisive information regarding cardiovascular system status. In this study, we developed a capacitive ECG measurement system that can be included within a cloth mattress pad. The device permits ECG data to be obtained during sleep by using capacitive electrodes. However, it is difficult to detect R-wave peaks automatically because signals obtained from the system can include a high level of noise from various sources. Because R-peak detection is important in ECG applications, we developed an algorithm that can reduce noise and improve detection accuracy under noisy conditions. Algorithm reliability was evaluated by determining its sensitivity(Se), positive predictivity(+P), and error rate(Er) by using data from the MIT-BIH Polysomnographic Database and from our capacitive ECG system. The results showed that Se = 99.75%, +P = 99.77%, and Er = 0.47% for MIT-BIH Polysomnographic Database while Se = 96.47%, +P = 99.32%, and Er = 4.34% for our capacitive ECG system. Based on those results, we conclude that our R-peak detection method is capable of providing useful ECG information, even under noisy signal conditions.

In view of personal health and disease management based on cost effective healthcare services, there is a growing need for real-time monitoring services. The electrocardiogram (ECG) signal is one of the most important of health information and real-time monitoring of the ECG can provide an efficient way to cope with emergency situations, as well as assist in everyday health care. In this system, it is essential to continuously collect and transmit large amount of ECG data within a given time and provide maximum user convenience at the same time. When considering limited wireless capacity and unstable channel conditions, appropriate signal processing and transmission techniques such as compression are required. However, ISO/IEEE 11073 standards for interoperability between personal health devices cannot properly support compressed data transmission. Therefore, in the present study, the problems for handling compressed data are specified and new extended agent and manager are proposed to address the problems while maintaining compatibility with existing devices. Extended devices have two PM-stores enabling compression and a novel transmission scheme. A variety of compression techniques can be applied; in this paper, discrete cosine transformation (DCT) is used. And the priority of information after DCT compression enables new transmission techniques for performance improvement. The performance of the compressed signal and the original uncompressed signal transmitted over the noisy channel are compared in terms of percent root mean square difference (PRD) using our simulation results. Our transmission scheme shows a better performance and complies with 11073 standards.
Even though the blood pressure is one of the most widely used index for the healthcare monitoring of hypertensive and normotensive persons, there is no non-intrusive measurement method which is commercialized until now. Pulse Arrival Time (PAT) is known that it has close relation with the systolic blood pressure (SBP) and arterial stiffness. In this study, SBP estimation methods by non-intrusive measurement of PAT are suggested. For the unconstrained measurement of PAT, the first method used the electrically non contact electrocardiogram (ENC-ECG) technique and the reflective type of Photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor on the computer mouse. In the second method, ENC-ECG and the air pressure sensor in the seat cushion on a chair were measured. The third method used ECG electrodes and PPG sensors on the toilet seat cover. The validation and regression analysis of the relationship of PAT and SBP are summarized. These methods have considerable errors to be used for all people. But these can be applied for each subject after the parameter customization within acceptable error. So, it is feasible for suggested methods to be used for monitoring of SBP in daily life in non-intrusive way when there is personal identification system of each subject.
Purpose: This qualitative study aimed to explore the experiences of patients with diabetes provided with medication monitoring using an artificial intelligence-based smartwatch. Methods: Giorgi's descriptive phenomenological methodology was applied to collect and analyze data from November 9 to December 23, 2021. The study samples were recruited by convenience sampling, and even patients with diabetes participated in in-depth interviews via video conference and telephone calls or face-to-face visits. Results: Ten sub-themes and four themes were finally revealed. The four themes were as follows: journey with unfamiliar devices, a less-than-acceptable smartwatch, insufficient functions and content for patients with diabetes to use, and efforts for regular medication behaviors and daily monitoring of patient's health conditions. Conclusion: To effectively manage diabetic conditions using digital healthcare technologies, nursing interventions were needed to identify personal needs and consider technological, psychological, aesthetic, and socioeconomic aspects of wearable devices.
The purpose of the study is to investigate the characteristics of the subjects and analyze and confirm the association between related factors in order to study the factors affecting drinking level after COVID-19 using data from the Korea Labor and Income Panel(2018-2020). The result of the study indicated that male group, 10s and 20s, unemployed status, and groups whose personal income fell before COVID-19 have a high risk of increased drinking levels. n particular, in the group where the frequency of drinking before COVID-19 decreased, the risk of increasing the level of drinking after COVID-19 was found to be higher. Further research is needed on this group of subjects. Based on this, various studies on drinking factors are needed through long-term monitoring studies on drinking levels after COVID-19.
The emergence of new diseases such as the Covid 19 pandemic that occurs in the 21st century and the occurrence of health abnormalities according to the busy daily life of modern people are increasing. Accordingly, the importance of health care management and data-based health management is being highlighted, and in particular, interest in personal health management data based on personal health care data of patients is rapidly increasing. In this study, to solve the difficult problems of personal health management, we developed a personal health care platform incorporating IT for self-diagnosis and solution and developed an application that measures bio-signals generated in the human body and transmits them to the platform. A health management system was established. Through this, not only the health care of modern people, but also the psychological and emotional care support needs through psychological and emotional monitoring of the developmentally disabled and the vulnerable who have difficulty in expressing their opinions are to be addressed. In addition, the overall health and living environment data of the individual was integrated to develop an optimized medical and health management service for the individual.
