Recent promising technologies of the manufacturing sector interest, and the interest in 3D printing that is expected to cause a huge ripple effect rapidly, and various types of products advertised in accordance with the falling price of 3D printers is spreading. However, the personal 3D printers that are currently being advertised is used for Injection output of the simple type that does not require a high processing precision in accordance with the limitation of technical performance, and consumer satisfaction is very low. In this paper, we propose a 3D printer, 3D precision to overcome existing limitations in the way the printer's high SLA 3D printer that combines injection method and the LSU (Laser Scanning Unit) in the office laser printer polygon mirror scanning method. 3D printers which are proposed to improve the accuracy and manufacturing speed is expected to replace the existing entry-level 3D printer.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to provide baseline data for the assessment of exposure to indium and to prevent adverse health effects among workers engaged in the electronics and related industries in Republic of Korea. Methods: Total (n = 369) and respirable (n = 384) indium concentrations were monitored using personal air sampling in workers at the following 19 workplaces: six sputtering target manufacturing companies, four manufacturing companies of panel displays, two companies engaged in cleaning of sputtering components, two companies dedicated to the cleaning of sputtering target, and five indium recycling companies. Results: The level of exposure to total indium ranged from 0.9 to 609.3 ㎍/m3 for the sputtering target companies; from 0.2 to 2,782.0 ㎍/m3 for the panel display companies and from 0.5 to 2,089.9 ㎍/m3 for the indium recycling companies. The level of exposure to respirable indium was in the range of 0.02 to 448.6 ㎍/m3 for the sputtering target companies; 0.01 to 419.5 ㎍/m3 for the panel display companies; and 0.5 to 436.3 ㎍/m3 for the indium recycling companies. The indium recycling companies had the most samples exceeding the exposure standard for indium, followed by sputtering target companies and panel display companies. Conclusions: The main finding from this exposure assessment is that many workers who handle indium compounds in the electronics industry are exposed to indium levels that exceed the exposure standards for indium. Hence, it is necessary to continuously monitor the indium exposure of this workforce and take measures to reduce its exposure levels.
In the manufacturing industries using HDI(hexamethylene diisocyanate) product hardeners, exposure to HDI is common to spray painters in terms of inhalation and dermal or ocular contact. Due to a lack of information for spray painters in automobile and furniture industries, a questionnaire survey was conducted for the prevalence of adverse health symptoms(33 spray painters and an unexposed group n = 91) to assess the importance of personal controls. Despite the small sample size, common health symptoms were reported, such as skin symptoms(dry cracked skin-61% and dermatitis/skin irritation-33%) and respiratory symptoms(phlegm-49%, asthma-21%). In addition, other adverse health symptoms were reported, such as skin rash(12%), cough(39%), shortness of breath with wheezing(30%), chest tightness and difficulty in breathing(30%). No significant eye symptoms were reported. It was founded that the adverse health symptoms reported in this study were related to poor personal work practices and inappropriate PPE use. Therefore, appropriate personal controls like PPE use, work practices, regular training and education are suggested to minimize the risk of health symptoms. In addition, medical examination will also be suggested for individual health effects.

The Personal Rapid Transit(PRT) system has been highly interested in future transportation developments due to its on-demand and optimized door-to-door transport capability. However, the major impediments to the commercialization of PRT are the high cost for construction of infrastructures as opposed to the small transport capacity and difficulty in defining the role of PRT in building a balanced transportation system. In this study, the vertical transfer device for the PRT vehicle is developed to provide more flexible and better compatible urban mobility services between means of transportation, which is expected to meet particular demands in a particular environment. This apparatus was initially designed based on the basis of vertical circulating conveyors with steel chains, which is frequently used in logistics. Its advantages are capable of the non-stop loading and reduced head-way time. Most importantly, it was intensified by the additional idea to ensure the stable and reliable transfer of the PRT vehicle fully loaded with passengers. The 1/10-scale prototype was successfully tested to demonstrate a fundamental mechanism of vertical transfer and identify unexpected user requirements prior to a real manufacturing process.
Recently, the traditional paradigm in railroad technology is changing as more efficient and cost-effective electric vehicle (EV) technologies have emerged. The original concept of PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) proposed in the past has come to be regarded as unrealistic, but its feasibility is improving through the utilization of an EV platform. In particular, battery-powered vehicles pose difficult technical challenges in attempts to achieve reliable and efficient operation. However, based on the inductive power transfer (IPT) technology, the fast charging of supercapacitors with high energy density can contribute to overcoming this technical challenge and promote the transition to electric-powered ground transportation by improving the appearance of cities. This study discusses the development process of a power supply system for PRT, including concept design, numerical analysis, and device manufacturing, along with performance predictions and evaluations. In terms of results, the system was found to meet the performance requirements for power supply modules on a test-bed.
This paper describes a research work of developing a computer-aided design and manufacturing of irregular shaped sheet metal product for blanking or piercing and bending operations. An approach to the system is based on the knowledge-based rules. Knowledge for the system is formulated from plasticity theories experimental results and the empirical knowledge of field experts, This system has been written in AutoLISp on the AutoCAD and in customer tool kit on the SmartCAM with a personal computer and is composed of nine modules which are input and shape treatment, flat pattern-layout, pro-processor module. Based on the knowledge-based rules, the system is designed by considering several factors, such as material and thickness of product complexities of blank geometry and punch profile sheet metal to give flat pattern and automatically account for the adjustment of bending allowances to match tooling requirements by checking dimensions and generating NC data automatically according to drawings of die-layout module. Results carried out in each module will provide efficiencies to the designer and the manufacturer of blanking or piercing and bending die in this field.

This paper decribes the development of computer-aided design of a very precise progressice die for lead frame of semiconductor chip. The approach to the system is based on knowledgr-based rules. Knowledge of fie이 experts. This system has been written in AutoLISP using AutoCAD ona personal computer and the I-DEAS drafting programming Language on the I-DEAS mater series drafting with on HP9000/715(64) workstation. Data exchange between AutoCAD and I-DEAS master series drafting is accomplished using DXF(drawing exchange format) and IGES(initial graphics exchange specification) files. This system is composed of six main modules, which are input and shape treatment, production feasibility check, strip layout, data conversion, die layout, and post processing modules. Based on Knowledge-based rules, the system considers several factors, such as V-notches, dimple, pad chamfer, spank, cavity punch, camber, coined area, cross bow, material and thickness of product, complexities of blank geometry and punch profiles, specifications of available presses, and the availability of standard parts. As forming processes and the die design system using 2D geometry recognition are integrated with the technology of process planning, die design, and CAE analysis, the standardization of die part for lead frames requiting a high precision process is possible. The die layout drawing generated by the die layout module s displayed in graphic form. The developed system makes it possible to design and manufacture lead frame of a semiconductor more efficiently.

With the recent progress in flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) in industry, increasing attention has been given to Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems. An AGV is a self-powered unit for transporting materials between stations without needing to be controlled by an operator. Such a system has several sensors to recognize the external state, and it is designed to travel between stations automatically without external assistance. To manage each device automatically in real time it requires a distributed controller with a main computer as the host, as well as a number of micro-controllers. In this study, an AGV system with dual motor drive was constructed. A Pentium 4 personal computer was set up as the main host for the distributed control, and this communicated with other micro-controllers in the management of the motor. The speed of each motor was also controlled by a micro-controller.
A safety helmet is a personal protective equipment to protect the head from falling and flying objects. A safety helmet has the maximum delivered impact force as shock absorption performance, the lower delivered impact force the better performance, which was not a controlled variety during manufacturing safety helmet. Accordingly there were some difficulties in establishing the standard for improved performance as there was not a clear controllable impact force for improved performance. In this study the shock absorption performance was intended to be found as coefficient of restitution related to impulse. As a research method, a coefficient of restitution during the absorption of shock was calculated using the impulse transferred to pharynx utilizing the safety helmet shock absorption performance testing device based on the theory of momentum and impulse. The estimated impulsive force curve was derived assuming that shock was not absorbed using the measured data. The sample was selected as tested goods of ABS material for safety certification available mainly in the market. As a result of study, the maximum delivered impact force of safety helmet made by a domestic safety certified a company was 735 N, and its coefficient of restitution proved to be 0.64. The smaller coefficient of restitution is, the lower maximum delivered impact force and the higher shock absorption performance. The coefficient of restitution can be used as a performance index of safety helmet.
This paper proposes new driving methods for designing a driver independent of the current property of organic light emitting diodes (OLED) displays. The proposed methods are the Look-Up Table (LUT) and the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). The LUT is used to handle the amount of the current for driving the OLED display panel and the PWM is applied to represent the gray scale on the OLED display panel. Segment and common drivers were implemented using delay circuits to prevent short-circuit current and a DC-DC converter was designed to supply the drivers with a power source. In particular, tile proposed methods are used for the manufacturing of 1.8" 128$\times$128 dot passive matrix OLED display panel. The designed circuit was fabricated using 0.6w, 2-poly, 3-metal, CMOS process and applied to the Personal Communication System (PCS) phone successfully.ully.
