  • As times goes by, a ton of electric devices have been developing. Nowadays, there are many personal electric goods that are connected each other and have important private information such as identification, account number, passwords, and so on. As many people own at least one electric device, security of the electric devices became significant. To prevent leakage of the information, study of Chaotic TRNG, "Chaotic True Random Number Generator", protecting the information by generating random numbers that are not able to be expected, is essential. In this paper, A chaotic TRNG is introduced is simulated. The proposed Chaotic TRNG is simulated with Virtuoso &, a circuit design program of Cadence that is a software company. For simulating the mentioned Chaotic TRNG, setting values, 0V low and 3V high on Vpulse, 1.2V on V-ref, 3.3V on VDD, and 0V on VSS, are used.

음성인식을 이용한 개인환경의 스마트 미러 (Smart Mirror of Personal Environment using Voice Recognition)

  • 본 논문에서는 개인의 일상생활에 필요한 컨텐츠를 제공하는 스마트 미러를 소개한다. 음성인식으로 지정해놓은 명령어를 입력하면 디스플레이에서 원하는 컨텐츠를 출력하는 스마트 미러를 제작하였다. 현재 제작한 스마트 미러의 컨텐츠는 시간과, 날씨, 지하철정보, 일정, 사진이 있다. 시중의 개인 가정용으로 판매하고 있는 스마트 미러는 비싼 가격으로 인해 보급이 어려운 상태이지만 본 논문에서 제시하는 스마트 미러 제작을 통해 제조 단가를 낮출 수 있으며, 음성인식으로 더 편리하게 이용할 수 있다.

Tongue Image Segmentation via Thresholding and Gray Projection

  • Tongue diagnosis is one of the most important diagnostic methods in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Tongue image segmentation aims to extract the image object (i.e., tongue body), which plays a key role in the process of manufacturing an automated tongue diagnosis system. It is still challenging, because there exists the personal diversity in tongue appearances such as size, shape, and color. This paper proposes an innovative segmentation method that uses image thresholding, gray projection and active contour model (ACM). Specifically, an initial object region is first extracted by performing image thresholding in HSI (i.e., Hue Saturation Intensity) color space, and subsequent morphological operations. Then, a gray projection technique is used to determine the upper bound of the tongue body root for refining the initial object region. Finally, the contour of the refined object region is smoothed by ACM. Experimental results on a dataset composed of 100 color tongue images showed that the proposed method obtained more accurate segmentation results than other available state-of-the-art methods.

Relationship between Business Type on Sales Orders and Major Factors in Domestic Ecommerce Markets

  • Purpose: The goal of this study is to comprehensively grasp the current status of ecommerce and to use as basic data for information-related policies. In this work, we understand recent ecommerce utilization, purchasing business by main factors, and look over the association between business type on sales orders (BTSO) and three variables: region, occupation and group type. Research design, data and methodology: The resource of this research is obtained by Ministry of Science and Technology Information and Communication in 2017, and investigated about 14,000 national business samples. Two statistical methods are used to analyze the association between the three variables: chi-square test and correspondence analysis. Results: The findings show that BTSO is pairwise associated with thee categorical variables, and the association between the categories of the two variables can be visually examined on two dimensional plane. Conclusions: This study suggests 'household & individual consumers' among BTSO are closely connected with 'Chungbuk' and 'Kyungnam' for region, 'others', 'finance & insurance' and 'association, repairing & other personal service' for occupation, and 'national & local government' for group type. Additionally, 'other companies' among BTSO are, particularly, related to 'Chunnam' for region, 'manufacturing industry' for occupation, and 'company corporations' for group type.

Research on the Drinking Culture of the Choseon dynasty's Ruling Class using Semantic Network Analysis

  • In this study, the drinking culture of the Choseon dynasty is examined with the text frequency analysis technique on the entire 『Choseonwangjosilok (朝鮮王朝實錄)』. This study examined a total of 1,968 volumes and 948 books about 27 kings of Choseon , which spans a total of 518 years, through web crawling on the National Institute of Korean History website. Python 3.8 was used to extract sentences related to alcohol, Rhino 1.4.5 was used for morphological analysis to extract nouns, and Gephi 0.9.2 was used for semantic network analysis. According to 『Choseonwangjosilok (朝鮮王朝實錄)』 about alcohol culture, the results of the analysis are as follow: Alcoholic beverages were more often used in court or in ritual ceremonies rather than those based on specific ingredients or manufacturing methods commonly used by the general public. regarding the ruling class through semantic network analysis l in the 『Choseonwangjosilok (朝鮮王朝實錄)』, the Choseon dynasty was found to be highly associated with political issues related to maintaining the power relations within the Korean royal court system. At times, alcohol was used to maintain personal relationships, while at other times it was seen as an essential item in state ceremonies. It was also used as a highly political means to maintain and strengthen national power.

Use of Software Agent Technology in Management Information System: A Literature Review and Classification

  • Technological innovations over the years have accentuated the workings in corporate- connected organizations and different application platforms. Hence, a unified management information system (MIS) that can utilize the Web and propel programming developments is required. Software agents, the latest developments in computer software technology, can be utilized to rapidly and effortlessly build integrated information systems. Consequently, 59 research papers on the use of software agents in MIS were identified from top 40 MIS journals published between 2007 and 2017. Then, we reviewed and classified all the research papers according to two categories: application fields and application categories. The application fields consisted of eight sub-groups: manufacturing, telecommunication systems, traffic and transportation management, information filtering and gathering, electronic commerce, business process management, entertainment, and medical care; whereas the application categories consisted of three sub-groups: multi-agent systems, personal assistants, and multi-agent simulation. The research papers were further divided into journal and year of publication, and journal and application field. The objective of our research was to understand the trend of the use software agent technology in MIS by examining the published research paper beside to add knowledge and content to the information system academic discipline.

발효유류의 HACCP 시스템 적용을 위한 미생물학적 위해 분석 (Microbiological Hazard Analysis for HACCP System Application to fermented milk)

  • 본 연구는 발효유류의 HACCP(Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)시스템 적용을 위한 목적으로 하였다. 발효유류의 주원료, 작업장 시설과 작업자 등에 대하여, 2013년 11월 5일~2014년 4월 13일까지 충청남도 천안시 서북구 소재에 있는 YD 업체에서 제공받았다. 제조공정도는 일반적인 발효유류 제조업체의 제조공정을 참고로 작성하였다. 제조공정도는 원료(원유, 액상과당, 올리고당, 유산균), 부재료, 포장재의 입고, 보관, 투입, 예열, 혼합, 균질, 살균, 예냉, 배양, 냉각, 여과, 내포장, 외포장, 보관 및 출하공정으로 Fig. 1과 같이 작성하였다. 원료의 미생물학적위해요소 분석결과는 Table 1과 같다. 본 연구결과 발효유의 원재료와 살균($90^{\circ}C{\pm}5^{\circ}C$에서 $35{\pm}3$분) 후에는 위해미생물검사 결과는 안전하나 제조환경과 작업자의 미생물검사 결과 체계적인 세척 및 소독을 실시하여 미생물학적 위해를 감소시키고, 작업자 위생교육 등을 통하여 개인위생개념 향상과 작업장 내 공기중의 미생물 관리가 함께 이루어져야 할 것으로 여겨진다.

밀폐공간 종류별 유해가스 발생 농도 평가 (Exposure Assessment of Hazardous gases in Confined Spaces)

  • Confined spaces are inherently dangerous workplace and many fatal and nonfatal accidents have been reported. Even though these accidents occur in various kinds of confined spaces, there has rarely been reported on the health hazard agent, i.e., the types of gases and their concentration ranges. Therefore in this study, we evaluated several toxic and asphyxiating gas concentrations in various confined spaces. We surveyed 57 manholes, 3 sewage treatment plants, 2 yellow radish manufacturing companies and 7 barges to measure the concentrations of oxygen($O_2$), hydrogen sulfide($H_2S$), carbon monoxide(CO), ammonia($NH_3$). Lower Explosion Limits(LEL) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Those four types of confined spaces occupies 56% of accidents during last 9 years in Korea. In 57 manholes, the concentration varied according to the types of manholes; rainfall and sewage, and by location; residential and industrial areas. Sewage manhole in industrial area was evaluated as the most hazardous than other types of manhole like rainfall manholes, residential sewage manholes. The highest $H_2S$ concentration and the lowest $O_2$ concentration at sewage manhole in industrial area were 300 ppm, 8.7% respectively. In 3 sewage treatment plants, $H_2S$ and $NH_3$ concentrations were reached up to the 500 ppm and 200 ppm respectively. Two yellow radish manufacturing companies showed the concentrations of 316 ppm, 505.2 ppm, 90 ppm and 15.7% for $H_2S$, CO, VOCs and $O_2$, respectively. Seven barges showed 15.9%~20.9% oxygen concentration. Gas species and concentration ranges varied by the types and location of confined spaces; CO, $H_2S$, $O_2$ could be hazardous in manhole, especially manhole connected to sewage plants. CO, $H_2S$, LEL, $O_2$, $NH_3$ should be controlled in sludge silo and sluge pumping confined spaces in sewage treatment plant. The activity of lifting out radish from the storage tank was evaluated more hazardous rather than the other activities in yellow radish manufacturing industry. The employers must conduct the survey to identify all possible confined spaces in their local workplace prior to performing the tasks. At the national level to reduce the accidents in the confined spaces, we suggest that systemic approach and active education program including possible hazards, standard operation procedures, ventilation plan, and personal protective equipment in confined spaces should be implemented.

Challenges and Opportunities of Small Business Management and Start-Ups in India

  • The core objective of this research article is to investigate different challenges and opportunities in management as well as start-ups of small businesses in India. The prudence behind this research is to examine various problems in front of the small businesses and to offer vital support and cooperation to overcome those with the support of concerned institutions through consultancy and training programs. The researchers have an intention to make available the research results to the governmental agencies, concerned small business institutions and also to the educational institutions which are continually design plans, programs, policies and strategies to upgrade the managerial and technical dexterities of the small business Indian operators. After thorough revision of relevant literature on small businesses and its management, the researchers used a well structured questionnaire and in-depth personal interviews with 586small business operators selected from manufacturing, trading (retailing and wholesaling), finance, servicing/repair businesses which are located in the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh in India. The researchers have used convenience sampling and collected data was analyzed with the support of Microsoft Excel and frequency distribution. Noticeably, majority of the small businessmen in India are facing myriad number of challenges both in management and at the time of establishment of their business operations. In particular, 72.47 percent of small businesses operators' have substantiated their strong opinion towards the challenges they are facing particularly finance, marketing and other problems while managing their businesses. The researchers also attempted to get the opinions on problems of the various categories of small businesses while starting their operations. A staggering 68percent of respondents identified the problems related to preparation of business plan, location selection, marketing and other problems like lack of proper credit facilities, skilled manpower, and other infra related problems while setting up of their businesses. On an average, 64.62 and 63.51 percent of small businesses are facing various kinds of problems both at the time of day-to-day management as well as start-up of their businesses respectively. The present research confined with the opinions of only four categories of small business operators particularly from the manufacturing, finance, trading (retailing and wholesaling), and servicing/repair which are continuing their business operations from the nine coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh in India. The present study emphatically provides concrete information required to the business community for identifying an assortment of challenges faced by different small business operators in managing and at the time of their inception. This research paper is first of its kind from this part of the world by offering extensive and credible information required for prospective entrepreneurs in facing the dynamic challenges in managing their business. Furthermore, this research presents invaluable inputs to the stakeholders like all types of governments, policy makers, practitioners, researchers, and educators' about the various impediments faced by the small business community in India.

한국 서비스산업의 수출경쟁력 강화정책에 관한 연구 (A Study on the policy for export competitiveness enforcement of Korean Service Industry)

  • 한국의 서비스무역 수지는 2012년에 IMF의 BPM5를 기준으로 흑자를 기록하였다. 이는 여행수지적자 감소, 건설 및 운송수지 흑자 확대와 규모는 작지만 개인, 문화, 오락서비스 수지가 꾸준히 개선되어 흑자로 전환된 데에 있다. 그러나 대외적으로는 세계경제 성장세가 둔화되고 원화가치가 강세를 보이고 있는 반면, 한국 서비스산업의 경쟁력은 매우 취약하기에 서비스무역 흑자 기조를 유지하기는 쉽지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 안정성이 미흡한 서비스수지 흑자 항목과 심각한 적자 항목을 중심으로 경쟁력 강화방안을 제시하고 있다. 해외 사례로 한국과 같이 제조업 중심의 발전 국가인 독일과 일본의 정책 및 현황을 분석하였으며 서비스 주요 업종의 현황분석을 통해 서비스 산업 경쟁력 강화 방안을 제시하였다. 해외건설의 안정적 시장확보 방안과 꾸준한 개선을 이루고 있는 개인 문화 오락서비스 분야의 독립적인 산업으로서 성장 및 동반 성장이 가능한 분야와의 연계 방안을 발굴하는 것이 필요하다. 서비스 산업은 고부가가치 산업으로 높은 수준의 지식 기반 서비스가 국제경쟁력이 있기에 집중 육성분야를 선정하여 미래지향적인 R&D 지원을 함으로써 지식재산권을 확보하고 핵심원천기술을 토대로 특허권 등 사용료 수지를 개선해 나가야 한다. 서비스산업은 제조업과는 다른 상품특성, 유통체계, 대금결제방식 등을 가지고 있으므로 업종별 특성을 반영하여 지원제도를 개발하여야 한다. 또한 해외 진출을 지원하기 위한 방안으로 서비스 업종별 시장개척단, 공동물류센터 등의 마케팅적 지원은 물론 현지국의 사회 문화적 특성을 고려하여 외교적 지원까지도 필요하다.
