영구자석을 이용한 콘크리트 궤도상의 쇠가루 포집장치 특성 분석 연구 (Analysis of Iron-filings Trapping Characteristics on Concrete Slab Track using Permanent Magnet)

  • 레일을 궤도회로로 이용하는 신호 설비의 경우, 레일 주변에 쌓이는 쇠가루는 궤도회로 상에 이상 신호유발의 원인이 되기도 한다. 차량의 곡선 주행 구간에서는 레일과 차륜의 마찰이 심하여 차륜의 마모에 의한 쇠가루가 발생하게 되고, 이렇게 발생한 레일 상의 쇠가루로 인해 이상 신호가 종종 발생하기 때문에 지하철 운영사의 쇠가루 제거를 위한 방안 마련이 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 궤도 상 레일 주변의 쇠가루를 포집하기 위한 영구자석 적용 마그넷 포집장치를 소개하였다. 또한 기본 설계 및 수치 해석적 기법을 이용하여 마그넷 포집장치의 다양한 특성 분석을 수행하였으며, 이를 통하여 콘크리트 궤도상의 쇠가루 포집을 위한 마그넷 포집장치의 실제 상용노선 차량에의 적용 가능성을 검토하였다.

  • Magnetic refrigeration is based on the magnetocaloric effect (MCE)-the ability of some materials to heat up when magnetized and cool down when demagnetized. A rotary magnetic refrigeration device using gadolinium (Gd) ribbon and permanent magnets was constructed for experimental study. Gd ribbon attached around a rotating wheel is cyclically magnetized and demagnetized by permanent magnets and exchanges heat with liquid in the surrounding container. Temperature of the liquid in each divided section of the container was measured and the experimental results obtained in this study were discussed.

  • An actuator latch device of a hard disk drive is installed for locking an actuator to hold a magnetic head parked in a parking zone. Applying an external force to the drive, the head can move away from the parking zone and destroy data on the disk. A magnet latching mechanism is used to prevent the actuator from moving when the computer is not in use. A permanent magnet holds the actuator when the head is in the parking zone. When the computer is turned on, the actuator has to overcome the latch magnet in order to move. A stronger latch magnet will hold the actuator adequately, but the actuator will not be released when unlocking is required. A breakthrough solution is needed to improve the reliability of the drive without any deterioration of its performance. In order to obtain the idea for resolving this technical contradiction, we analyse patents for actuator latch device of a hard disk drive. A practical way for solving contradictions in product development using TRIZ is proposed in this paper.

영구자석을 적용한 선박용 곡면 철판 이송용 유압식 마그네틱 클램프 이송장치의 성능평가에 대한 고찰 (Performance Evaluation of Hydraulic and Magnetic Clamp Crane for Transporting Curved Steel Plate for Shipbuilding, with Permanent Magnet Applied)

  • As a new technical approach, a hydraulic and magnetic clamp device was developed to realize a magnetic clamp crane system by simultaneously actuating eight individual hydraulic cylinders. In this approach, an Sr-type of ferritic permanent magnet (SrO· 6Fe2O3), rather than the previous electromagnet, was utilized for the purpose of lifting and transporting the large curved steel plates used for manufacturing ships. This study had the goal of developing and manufacturing a hydraulic, magnetic clamp prototype composed of three main parts, including the base frame, cylinder joint, and magnet joint, in order to safely transport curved steel plates. Furthermore, this research included a performance evaluation of the manufactured prototype and acquired the purposed quantity value in the performance test. The most significant item, the magnetic adhesive force (G), was evaluated in a performance test, which utilized a ferritic permanent magnet (Sr type) with 3700~4000 G of residual induction (Br) and 2640/2770 Oe of coercive force (Hc). In particular, relevant items such as the hoist tension (kN), transportation time (s), and applied load (Kgf) on the hydraulic cylinders were also evaluated in order to determine the optimum values.

  • A research on thermal analysis method is conducted for the characterization of heat generation during operation of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) for Light Railway Transits(LRT) in this paper. Efficient cooling of the heat generated in the IPMSM is important because the excessive heat generated from the winding, core and permanent magnet makes it harder for a long time continuous operation of IPMSM. Therefore, in order to analyze the heat generation characteristics of the 110kW-class IPMSM as advanced research for application the IPMSM to the cooling device, the heat transfer coefficients for each component of the 110 kW-class IPMSM were derived and the thermal equivalent network was configured to perform the thermal analysis in this study. Finally, the 110kW-class IPMSM prototype is made and a comparative verification between the test data and the thermal analysis results through its various performance tests are carried out.

무철심 영구자석 직류 모터를 이용한 진동자 개발 (Development of Vibration Motor Using Coreless Permanent Magnet DC Motor)

  • With a remarkable expansion of communication industry, a pager or a cellular phone becomes a necessary communication device in modern society. However, a paging signal by a buzzer is often acted as an unpleasant noise in some places, thus necessitating a paging signal by a vibration motor. In this paper, a simpler type of a vibration motor, a coreless permanent magnet(PM) DC motor, is considered to substitute for the conventional vibration motors. Using an analytical method, electromagnetic field and operating torque were calculated for the given inner and outer PM type motors, and the results were confirmed by FEM analysis. As design parameters, number of PM poles, PM radial thickness, coil arc angle and number of winding stacks were chosen for sensitivity analysis. It shows that coil arc angle is the most important design parameter to increase the motor performance, without giving an adverse effect on motor weight, size and manufacturing cost. Based on the analysis of the outer PM type motor, an outer square PM type motor is proposed as the final design. Compared to the outer PM type, outer square type provides more flexibility to attach to the small size cellular phones. With the optimum design of square outer PM DC motor, it can successfully substitute the conventional types with less expensive manufacturing cost. better performance and smaller necessary space.

영구자석-홀 맥진센서를 이용한 양손 동시측정 맥진파형 비교 연구 (Comparison of Simultaneously Measured Pulse Waveforms from Both Hands using Permanent Magnet-Hall Pulsimeter Sensor)

  • 영구자석과 홀소자로 구비된 두 대의 집게형 맥진기 시제품을 이용하여 비가압 상태에서 양손 요골동맥의 맥진파형을 동시측정한 신호들을 비교 분석하였다. 20대 남성 피실험자 22명을 대상으로 측정된 오른손잡이와 왼손잡이의 두 맥진파형들은 위상차를 갖고 뚜렷하게 구별되었다. 서로 다른 빠름과 늦음으로 인해 두 개의 맥진파형들의 위상차 부호는 맥파전달속도가 오른손과 왼손 혈관의 총길이 보다는 자주 사용하는 팔의 근육 특성에 의존한다는 분석이 가능하였다.

  • The single-phase switched reluctance motor(SRM) generates the positive torque in the restricted section. So, it can not started by itself and the torque ripple is heavier than poly-phase. For self-starting and fixing rotating direction, the rotor should be placed at the rising inductance slope when stationary. The parking permanent magnet locates the rotor in the fixed position, which can be started by it-self. It is very simple and cost effective but has some drawbacks. It affects the rotor during the operation, so the characteristics of motor, such as a torque, speed, and ripple are changed to go bad. This paper presents the detent torque of parking magnet starting device through the finite element analysis and experiments. The finite element analysis is performed at incremental rotor positions over one detent torque cycle for any one pole. The prototype, fabricated in the previous research, is used for the experiments. The inductance, instant torque, and detent torque are calculated using the terminal voltage and phase current. Finally, the finite element analysis result and the experiment result are compared for analysis and validity.

  • The propulsion system of next generation electric vehicle is different from the structure and control methods compared with conventional induction motor vehicles by applying an interior permanent magnetic synchronous motor. Permanent magnet motor should be controlled by each individual motor, propulsion device have 1C1M structure by a single inverter to control a single motor.

  • 원자력발전소의 원자로에는 노심 반응 속도를 제어하기 위하여 제어봉구동장치가 사용된다. 한국원자력연구원의 SMART 원자로는 원자로 가동 중 제어봉집합체의 위치를 확인하기 위하여 제어봉구동장치에 영구자석과 리드스위치로 구성되는 위치지시기가 설치된다. 원자로 가동 온도는 최대 $350^{\circ}C$로 고려되어 설계되며, 영구자석은 원자로 내에 설치된다. 반면에 리드스위치와 전기회로는 원자로 외부에 설치된다. Test coil은 리드스위치의 품질 검증을 위한 장비로서, 코일과 철심으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구는 리드스위치에 미치는 Test coil과 영구자석의 자기 특성을 비교하고자 수행되었으며, 유한요소 전자기 시뮬레이션을 활용하였다.
