A Study on Job Characteristics of Foodcoordinator (푸드 코디네이터의 직무에 관한 기초 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the job characteristics of foodcoordinator. 34.56% of subjects have the part of food as a speciality in college or University. 50.67% of subjects don't have any licence which is related with food. 30.67% of subjects have 1-3year or under career in the food part. Upon investigation the educational period by the period of career in food part, Subjects who had 5 year over career in the food part have 60.34month educational period. Upon investigation the speciality in college or University by the period of career in food part, 58.33% of 5 year over career in the food part respondents have food speciality in college or University. As the period of career in food was increased, the importance of cooking was increased.

  • Purpose : This study was intended to investigate the structural relationship among empowerment, self-efficacy, job motivation, autonomy, critical thinking, job-satisfaction, burnout, and self-achievement. In addition, we tested the moderating effect of the career period on the influence of empowerment. Methodology : The structural equation model was used to test the causal relationship between factors, and t-test, ANOVA, descriptive statistics are applied to analyze the research data. Findings : The result of this study shows that the structural model that is the empowerment encourages the self-efficacy, job motivation, autonomy, and critical thinking, also these factors affect the self-achievement through both the job-satisfaction and burnout is acceptable according to the goodness of fitness indices. In addition, we show that the career period moderates the influence of empowerment on the self-efficacy, job-motivation, and autonomy, but not critical thinking. Usually, the shorter the career period is the higher the influence of empowerment is. This moderating effect means that to give proper empowerment to lower position nurses encourage them, and prevent from burnout. Therefore, they feel job-satisfaction and finally self-achievement. Practical Implications : The empowerment helps the nurse to activate self-efficacy, job motivation, autonomy, critical thinking. Hence, these factors decrease burn-out but increase job satisfaction. Finally a sense of self-perfection increase.

  • This study attempts to reveal the causal relationship between certain variables, with the objective being to investigate the influence of career disability on self-efficacy and career preparation behavior of Chinese college students. In terms of data collection, online surveys were conducted during the period spanning September 1 to September 20, 2022 targeting fourth-year university students living in Liaoning, China. A total of 536 completed surveys were used for the final analysis, and the SPSS 25.0 program was employed in this regard. The results of the study confirmed that the career barriers of Chinese college students had both positive and negative effects on career decision-making self-efficacy and career preparation behavior, signaling a partial causal relationship. This indicates that career barriers are not only negative factors in career decision-making or career preparation. The current study is meaningful in that the results can serve as the basis for future studies, as the work itself investigated the influence of career barriers on career decision self-efficacy and career preparation behavior; additionally, the results were quantified. It is anticipated that there will be further studies on such influences considering the diverse variables of career barriers, career decision self-efficacy, and career preparation behavior. The results of this study are expected to provide useful information on career preparation to Chinese college students - information which can be used as empirical data.

A Study on the Refresher Training of Physical Therapist in Gwangju and Jeonnam

  • Purpose: The current study seeks to examine the continuing education of physical therapist in Gwangju, Jeonnam. Methods: A survey was conducted during the continuing education of physical therapist held in Gwangju in 2015 with 297 participants. The survey questionnaire consisted of 13 questions on characteristics of physical therapist, 7 questions on the level of satisfaction with continuing education, 11 questions regarding the need for continuing education, and 8 questions concerning how to improve continuing education. Results: As for the level of satisfaction with the content of continuing education, the survey results indicated that there were significant differences across respondents' age and career period. Regarding the level of satisfaction with the environment in which continuing education was provided; significant differences were observed across respondents' age, education, marital status, monthly pay, career period, and service period. Regarding the level of satisfaction with the expense in which continuing education was provided; significant differences were observed across respondents' sex, age, education, marital status, dependent family, monthly pay, career period, and position. In terms of the level of satisfaction with the operation method in which continuing education was carried out, there were significant differences across respondents' age, education, and career period. Conclusion: The survey found the level of satisfaction with continuing education to be average among physical therapist in Gwangju and Jeonnam. In addition, as for ways to take continuing education courses for those who have never taken it, online education was mentioned the most. Therefore, there is a need for advertising online continuing education.

  • Purpose: The work of Dental technician which is part of national dental health, is more specialized recently. This research provides fundamental data from analyzing student's career consciousness according to needs of a career education. Here is the conclusion of the analysis about student's career consciousness, that is for a right choice of career. Methods: This study did questionnaire to a dental Laboratory Technology student who locate in Taegu. Question response student number was 570 people. Response contents analyzed to 506 people except imperfect questionnaire. Data used windows sas 8.0 program and did descriptive statistical analysis. Results: There is a meaningful difference in what they want to know about an occupation according to ages. (${\rho}$ < 0.01) All ages are similar to their occupational thinking, however they who are under twenties consider working environment. Most motives of an entrance are similar, there is a meaningful difference. (${\rho}$ < 0.05) According to a grade of college, there is a meaningful difference how to obtain informations of a career. (${\rho}$ < 0.05) Sophomores and juniors obtain information from seniors or family, however freshmen obtain from the internet because of an accessibility. There is a meaningful difference of a job meaning between men and women. (${\rho}$ < 0.01) Men are working for a means of living. But women give weight to a self-development. The older they grow, the more they know about their aptitude. Selecting subjects are different choosing time & motive. According to ages and where they are from, there is a meaningful difference how much know about their aptitude. (${\rho}$ < 0.05) Older Students know more than young students. Selecting subjects are different choosing time & motive. In accordance with a grade, ages, and where they are from, there are different degrees about how much know their interests. There is a meaningful difference of a choosing major period and choosing informations. (${\rho}$ < 0.01) And also there is a meaningful difference where they are from and why they enter to College. (${\rho}$ < 0.001) Conclusion: Although we know that a career education is very important, however lots of students select a career without their aptitude & interest & character. We need to teach a career education systematically; considering students career consciousness, with a proper career guidance, cultivating career consciousness.

A Study on the Effect of Career Shock Experienced in the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Level of Subjective Career Success Perception. (코로나19 팬데믹 상황에서 경험한 커리어쇼크가 주관적 경력 성공 인식 수준에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to identify the factors of shocking events in the career aspect experienced by Korean workers in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, and to find out whether these career shocks affect individual perceptions of the importance of subjective career success. Design/methodology/approach - In the survey of 146 respondents, the career shock events experienced in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic were largely divided into three categories; 'work change', 'employment anxiety', and 'life anxiety'. For the subjective career success, seven dimensions - 'financial security', 'financial achievement', 'entrepreneurship', 'positive relationship', 'positive impact', 'learning and development', 'work-life balance' - were used. Findings - As a result, there was no difference in the perception of subjective career success due to the experience of 'work change' during the Covid-19 period. However, the respondents who experienced 'employment anxiety' came to recognize that 'financial security' and 'financial achievement' were more increasing in terms of the degree of difference of importance. And respondents who experienced 'lifetime anxiety' perceived that the degree of difference of importance was increasing in the six dimensions except for 'social influence'. Particularly, the increase in the importance of 'work-life balance' and 'positive relationship' was found to be the greatest among the career success dimensions. Research implications or Originality - Finally, it was concluded that changes in the external environment such as Covid-19 pandemic influence as a career shock and affect the level of importance in subjective career success perception. Based on the results, the theoretical implication on current career study and some practical implications for organizational career management were suggested.

  • This study examines a systematic and effective approach to career guidance in medical education, with a particular focus on the 6-year integrated career guidance education framework implemented at the College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea. Based on the "New SLICE" educational development principles, this framework comprehensively addresses the needs of medical students in career planning and development. It is structured into three phases: understanding yourself, exploring options, and choosing a specialty. The first phase, understanding yourself, helps students to recognize their strengths, weaknesses, aptitudes, and potentials, thereby setting the direction for future career choices. This phase includes various psychological tests and Self-Development and Portfolio courses. The second phase, exploring options, enables students to engage in related activities such as research and practical training, providing direct and indirect experiences across various fields. This phase offers courses including Medical Field Experience, Career Guidance through the Learning Community & Advisory Professors, and Student Participation in Professor Research Projects. The final phase, choosing a specialty, involves students making decisions based on in-depth self-assessment and exploration of majors, with a capstone project being a significant component. Maximizing the efficiency of career decision-making requires integration between the basic medical curriculum and postgraduate education. Including the period up to residency entrance in the framework is necessary for effective career guidance education.

The Effects of Satisfaction in their Departments of Health College Students and the Types for Career Decision on Career Preparatory Behavior (보건계열 대학생의 학과만족도, 진로의사결정유형이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to understand the difference in department satisfaction, career decision types and career preparatory behavior of health college students, and the relationship between variables and their effects on career preparatory behavior, and presents basic data for development of career guidance programs. The subjects of this study were 450 college students studying emergency rescue, physical therapy, public health administration and dental hygiene at three-year colleges located in B and G cities. They were selected through convenience sampling. The period of the study was from November 12 to 15, 2013. of 450 copies of the questionnaire distributed, a total of 418 copies were used in the final analysis. For data analysis, SPSS 14.0 for Windows was used. As a result, there were correlations between variables, the largest effect department satisfaction had on career preparatory behavior was found in aptitude learning followed by personal relationships and career job. The reasonable type of career decision types had a positive effect on career preparatory behavior while dependent and instinctive types had a negative effect on career preparatory behavior.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the differences between major satisfaction, university life adjustment, self-esteem, career identity according to the time of department selection of students in the department of occupational therapy. Frequencies, descriptive statistics, chi-square test, ANOVA was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 22. The major satisfaction and career identity have statistically significant difference according to the time of department selection. As the time of department selection was earlier(in high school), major satisfaction and career identity turned out to be higher than other times(before application period or application period). Thus, in order to effective life guidance and career guidance for the students in the department of occupational therapy after admission, the carrer programs that convergent the characteristics of the department of occupational therapy are needed.

  • The purpose of study is to examine the effects of the reading discussion-oriented career exploration program for elementary school students on career development and achievement motivation. To achieve this purpose, three fifth grade classes were assigned to an experimental group, comparative group A and comparative group B. Reading discussion-oriented exploration program for the experimental group was conducted for five weeks in ten sessions, the same period of time for comparative group A was given for conducting a career education program and subject studying was conducted on comparative group B. The results of this study, the experimental group applied to the reading discussion-oriented career exploration programs showed a significant increase in their career development compared with the subject studying group. But they did not show a significant increase compared with the career education group. Second, experimental group applied to the reading discussion-oriented career exploration programs showed significant increase their achievement motivation compared with the subject studying group and career education group.
