  • High-performance concrete is defined as concrete that meets special combinations of performance and uniformity requirements that cannot always be achieved routinely using conventional constituents and normal mixing, placing, and curing practices. Ever since the term high-performance concrete was introduced into the industry, it had widely used in large-scale concrete construction that demands high-strength, high-flowability, and high-durability. To obtain such performances that cannot be obtained from conventional concrete and by the current method, a large number of trial mixes are required to select the desired combination of materials that meets special performance. In this paper, therefore, using genetic algorithm which is a global optimization technique modeled on biological evolutionary process-natural selection and natural genetics-and can be used to find a near optimal solution to a problem that may have many solutions, the new design method for high-performance concrete mixtures is suggested to reduce the number of trial mixtures with desired properties in the field test. Experimental and analytic investigations were carried out to develop the design method for high-performance concrete mixtures and to verify the proposed mix design.

VLBI 상관 서브시스템 본제품의 제작현장 성능시험 (Performance Evaluation of VLBI Correlation Subsystem Main Product)

  • 본 논문에서는 한일공동VLBI상관기(Korea-Japan Joint VLBI Correlator, KJJVC)의 핵심 구성시스템인 VLBI상관서브 시스템(VLBI Correlation Subsystem, VCS) 본제품의 1차 성능시험에 대해 기술한다. VCS 본제품의 1차 성능시험의 주요 목적은 현장에 설치하기 전에 제작사에서 다양한 시험항목을 대상으로 시험을 수행하여 문제점을 확인 후 전체 시스템의 완성도를 높이는 것이다. 이번 성능시험에서는 VCS 시작품에서 발견된 FFT 재양자화의 유효비트 부족으로 인한 오버폴로어 문제점을 포함한 기능적인 시험을 수행하였다. 이번 VCS 본제품의 공장시험을 통하여 2008년 VCS 시작품의 성능시험에서 발견한 FFT 의 재양자화 문제점이 완전히 해결되었으며 VCS 본제품에 지연추적, 지연보상, 주파수 묶음 등의 중요 기능도 추가되었다. 그리고 실제 관측 데이터(광대역/협대역)를 이용한 상관처리 시험에서도 예측되는 상관결과가 출력되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구는 기 개발된 인플래터블 카약(RPO-2)과 새롭게 개발된 인플래터블 카약(RD-FK-11, RD-FK-12)의 유체역학적인 성능평가를 위하여 경사시험과 선회시험은 해양공학수조에서 저항시험은 축소된 모형선을 제작하여 회류수조에서 수행되었다. 결론적으로 각각의 카약에 대한 다양한 성능시험결과 복원성 측면에서는 KONA가 유리하고, 선회력과 무게중심 측면에서는 RD-FK-12가 우수하고, 저항성능 측면에서는 RD-FK-11이 KONA와 RPO-2에 비해 우수하였다.

선미관 밀봉장치의 개발에 관한 연구 (II) -풰이스 시일을 중심으로- (A Study on the Development of Ship's Stern Tube Sealing System(II) -Based on Face Seals-)

  • The lip seals widely used nowadays in stern tube sealing system of ships have radial sealing contact with shafts or liners, on the other hand the face seals of stern tube sealing system have axial sealing contact with seat. Because of axial sealing contact, the face seals have a large number of merits such as durability of life, simplicity of structure, easy fitting and replacement, etc. In this paper, for the purpose of development of face seals, the fundamental properties of axial sealing contact were analyzed and a trial face seal was designed and manufactured using N.B.R. rubber and Thordon which is widely used for bearing materials. The seal proper of trial face seal was made from N.B.R. rubber and the face insert was made from Thordon, thermosetting resins which are three dimensional, cross linked condensation polylmers. The performance test of trial face seal was carried out on the test bench which was specially designed and manufactured. The results were satisfactory enough to be used in practical stern tube sealing system.

  • It is the aim of this study to introduce the application method for the new estimation system of deterioration caused performance decrement of exterior wall by infrared theromography. With this help of this trial test, the defect such as void and honeycomb of esveria wall can be shown easily. Espicially by selecting the weathering condition, it becomes easier to identify defect than with original image. It was confirmed that this trial monitoring system is very useful to identify the defect of exterior wall.

지역임상시험센터 임상연구간호사의 역할 구명 (The Role of Clinical Research Nurses at Regional Clinical Trials Centers)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the performance of Clinical Research Nurses (CRNs) and the importance of their roles at the Regional Clinical Trial Centers (RCTCs). Method: A questionnaire focused on the role of CRNs was crafted by a researcher and the content validity was verified by a panel of experts on clinical research. The subjects of this study were 91 CRNs and Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs), who were Korean registered nurses working at nine RCTCs. 77 subjects yielded valid data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, the Mann-Whitney U test, Spearman's rank order correlation coefficient, and Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: The performance of CRNs and the recognition in the importance of their roles were statistically significant different in age, education, CRN careers, positions, employment status and the phase of clinical trial. The role of direct caregiver was performed most often by CRNs. The role of coordinator of care and research (pre-study) was considered the most important role but performed the least frequent. Conclusions: The role of CRNs can easily be differentiated from CRCs who are not registered nurses. The domains of CRNs should be clearly identified and established. Moreover, research should be carried out on CRN training programs to cultivate competence in CRNs.

공기윤활시스템 적용 선박의 시운전 속도성능에 대한 불확실성 해석 (Uncertainty Analysis of Improved Speed Performance of a Ship with an Air-Lubrication System in a Sea Trial)

  • 선박의 해상 시운전 중 속도성능시험은 선박의 속도를 입증하기 위한 중요한 시험항목 중 하나이다. 국제표준화기구에서는 2015년 시운전 속도성능시험에 관한 표준 가이드라인을 제정한 바 있다. 일반적인 해상상태에서는 바람과 파도등 환경적 외란의 영향이 언제나 존재하므로, 정확한 전달동력을 추정하기란 불가능 하다. 또한 외란의 영향으로 최근 개발되고 있는 에너지 절감장치의 개선효과를 정확히 평가하는 것도 쉽지 않다. 본 연구에서는 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 공기윤활시스템을 장착한 선박의 동력 절감량에 관한 불확실성 해석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 공기윤활시스템 가동으로 3.2%의 동력이 절감되었으며, 절감된 동력의 확장불확도는 95% 신뢰수준 (k = 2)에서 약 ± 2.7 % 범위를 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

수중함 소나 수신성능 향상을 위한 음향창 접착제 배합비 개선 (A Study on the Improvement of Adhesive Mixing Ratio about Acoustic Window for Enhancing SONAR Performance of Submarine)

  • This study suggest the improvement of the CFRP adhesive mixing ratio about acoustic window to enhance SONAR performance. The CFRP of submarine is produced by allocation an acoustic window zone by the beam width of SONAR sensors. During the sea trial, SONAR system's bearing and range accuracy data is not in tolerance due to debonding phenomenon on CFRP. The inappropriate mixing ratio of adhesives caused that peeling phenomenon occurred in the acoustic window part, which is the reason for the deterioration of SONAR sensors performance. The report includes explanation of test procedure of SONAR, root cause analysis, CFRP manufacturing procedure, laboratory tests results, and proof of the performance at the sea trial.

  • The speed trial of a ship is one of the important elements guaranteeing its performance under the contract between the ship owner and shipbuilding company. A speed trial at sea, where the tidal current and waves are suppressed to the maximum, can prevent measurement errors due to external force conditions. On the other hand, it is difficult to maintain a calm sea state in most sea areas determined by the influence of the tidal current, wave, wind, etc. Therefore, this study evaluated a method of simulating a tidal current, which is one of the external force conditions, at the speed test operation of a ship, and applied the simulation result to the plan of a speed trial.

쇄빙연구선 "Araon"호를 활용한 빙해역 속력 시운전에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Speed Sea Trial on the Ice Field for Ice Breaking Research Vessel "Araon")

  • To know the speed performance of "ARAON" in Arctic ice field, the measurement of ice properties which is ice thickness & strength, snow depth and free board were performed on July 2010. The measuring method of nautical signals such as heading angle, power of engine, wind & current information etc. was described in this paper. The speed sea trials in ice were performed on the four different positions with different ice properties and engine powers because the uniform level ice is not detected in the Chukchi Sea. The test field was partially constrained ice floe with hummocks and it was superposed with small broken ice pieces each other. All of the measured ice properties were compared and evaluated according to the results of sea trial. The relations between speed, ice thickness, strength and power were summarized. Consequently according to the sea trial results, the speed of ARAON is 2.78knots at the 2.49m ice thickness with 6.55MW engine power.
