Purpose: The aim of this study was to share the experience of clinical performance examinations (CPXs) using standardized patients, which was to test comprehensive clinical competence of fourth-year nursing students for four years. Methods: The assessment strategies for CPXs were developed. It included clinical scenarios, the roles of standardized patients, and appraisal criteria in the areas of fundamental and comprehensive nursing care. The CPXs were implemented to about 60-70 fourth-year nursing students of C University in G-city, South Korea, during every second semester from the year of 2006 to 2009. Results: The effects of CPXs were measured by 10 or 25-item rating checklist. Internal reliability of the checklists was distributed from .511 to .956 and interrater agreement between faculties and standardized patients was moderate (r=.250-.949). Students' satisfaction level was 4.27 out of 5 points for four years. Conclusion: The use of CPXs was an innovative educational strategy to evaluate nursing students' comprehensive performance ability including knowledge, skills and attitude. Further studies are needed to evaluate the levels of critical thinking and problem solving skills of clinical nurses who were taken CPXs as well as employers' satisfaction.

This study examines the influence of individual investors' sentiment on Japanese IPO aftermarket performance (measured by return and trading volume on the first trading day and return on the first trading year). This study proposes that IPOs will be, on average overpriced on the listing day when individual investors' sentiment is highly optimistic. Higher initial return and trading volume are expected in IPOs with higher investors' optimism. Further, the positive initial return will occur in the short term as individual investors usually are uninformed investors who demand shares based on their personal preferences, which will last only in a short period. Following the overvaluation hypothesis, price reversals should be predicted once the effect of individual investors' optimism has disappeared, causing the IPOs to underperform in the long term. Using 520 Japanese IPOs issued from January 2010 to December 2019, this study reveals that individual investors' sentiment is positively and significantly related to returns and trading volume on the first trading day. Return reversals are found on the first trading year despite the insignificant influence of individual investors' sentiment on IPO return on the first trading year.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze & suggest the variation of energy consumption consequent on thermal insulation performance strengthening from early 2000s when modernization of barracks began until the present targeting a large barracks. Method: To carry out this research, this study surveyed the standard of thermal insulation by year, which is being applied to a barracks by conducting literature search, and selected the standard model for a barracks. Also, this study analyzed energy consumption by year & region by performing simulation(ECO2)of the selected standard model. Result: As a result, it was analyzed that in case of a building which was completed in 2015, the energy consumption for air-conditioning & heating, lighting, and hot water supply over the year 2000 reduced by 11% on the average in central district, 10% on the average in southern district, and 17% on the average in Jeju, respectively.
This study investigated the cognitive process of 5-year-old children, with a particular focus on gender, monthly age, and their tendencies towards hyperactivity through the performance of the Cognitive Assessment System (CAS; Das & Naglieri, 1997). The children with tendencies towards hyperactivity were identified based on Conners Teachers' Rating Scale (CTRS). The subjects were 75 five-year-old children in Seoul and surrounding metropolitan areas. Data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics, an independent sample t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, one-way ANOVA, and by K-mean cluster analysis. Our results were as follows : (1) The CAS and CTRS' sub-factors were correlated negatively, except the positive correlation between planning factor and hyperactivity factor. (2) Girls exhibited significantly higher CAS scores in planning & sequential processing than boys. (3) The upper monthly age group (68-71 months) showed significantly higher score in terms of planning than the lower monthly age group (60-63 months). (4) The CAS scores of the children with tendencies towards hyperactivity was lower than that of normal children. (5) The CAS profile of 5-year-old children was divided into 4 groups with distinctive characteristics by means of K-mean cluster analysis.

The performances of three different types of photovoltaic (PV) module technologies namely, copper-indium-diselenide (CIGS), mono-crystalline silicon (mo-Si) and amorphous silicon (a-Si) have been comparatively studied in the grid-connected system for more than a year under the tropical monsoon climate of Thailand. The yields, performance ratios and system efficiencies for the respective PV module technologies have been calculated and a comparison is presented here. The performance ratios of the initial operation year for CIGS showed highest among the compared technologies under Thailand climate conditions by marking 97.0% while 89.6% for a-Si and 81.5% for mo-Si. Although mo-Si has shown highest efficiencies all over the period, under the testing conditions, the operating efficiency of mo-Si was down-graded from its reference value mainly due to high operating temperature and the efficiency of the tested CIGS module was also found as high as that of mo-Si in the study. Accordingly, outdoor assessment shows that CIGS modules have demonstrated high performance in terms of yields and performance ratios in Thailand climate conditions.
The IS project is getting more and more complicated and large-scaled. Many researchers and practitioners are interested in the IS development methodologies, automated tools and techniques, TQM to decrease project failure, and to increase IS performance. But, in spite of such various efforts, the latest Standish Group's research indicates that the project scale is bulkier than $1{\sim}2$ year ago and IS development project's batting average falls from 34% to 28% at the same time, proceeded project is increased, and project discharged arrives to $15%{\sim}18%$. According to a research, success possibility increased by 37% after a year of PMO introduction, and increased sharply by 62% after 2 years and by 65% after S years. This research has a goal to survey how the PMO function and operation type affect the IS project performance in the financial industry. I determine nine independent variables and three dependent variables from previous researches. The results of this study are that the four core functions of PMO have relationship with project performance. But, technical support function does not relate with organization performance. Among the four core PMO operation types, three types have an effect on the IS project performance except the perfectionist type.
The most crucial point of reducing building energy is application of high performance envelope. The amount of heat exchange through window is highest in comparison of other envelopes so that heat exchange through window influence directly with building energy consumption. The window energy performance can be define with thermal, leakage and optical performance. In previous study we can confirmed that not only thermal performance but also optical performance are considered, 11% to 15% of building energy consumption can be reduced. Smart window system has potential of energy saving so that many industry field use smart window system including architectural area and these aspect causes smart window market continuous growth year by year. In this study, building energy consumption has been analyzed which consist of smart window that dynamically control optical states. The consideration of standard commercial building model for research, the reference medium size commercial building model of DOE (Department Of Energy, USA) has been used. The building energy simulation result of 4 axis in 8 regions in Korea shows 8% to 22% reduction of building energy consumption by application of smart window system.
We investigated the effect of seedling age and planting density on early growth performance of Zelkova serrata trees. Containerized Z. serrata seedlings, 1-year-old and 2-year-old, were planted according to two different planting densities (3,000 and 5,000 trees ha-1) at the end of March, 2017. Three plots were established for each treatment (2 seedling ages × 2 planting densities). We calculated the survival rate (%) of out-planted seedlings as well as the stem volume based on the root collar diameter (RCD) and height (H) in September of each year, from 2017 to 2019. Seedling age and planting density did not affect survival rate of the out-planted trees. Planting density did not affect height of the trees, whereas the treatment significantly affected RCD and the H/D ratio for 2-year-old seedlings in 2019. The stem volume per tree was highest in the plot of 2-year-old seedlings at 5,000 trees ha-1 and lowest in the 1-year-old seedlings at 3,000 trees ha-1. In addition, the tree height in both 1-year-old and 2-year-old Z. serrata trees was greater in the 5,000 trees ha-1 plot than in the 3,000 trees ha-1 plot. There was no interactive effect between seedling age and planting density on stem volume; however, as seedling age and planting density increased, stem volume of Z. serrata trees increased. The values for stem volume per hectare are 85%, 68%, and 300% higher in 1-year-old 5,000 trees ha-1, 2-year-old 3,000 trees ha-1, and 2-year-old 5,000 trees ha-1 plots, respectively, compared to the values in 1-year-old 3,000 trees ha-1. This result shows that high planting density (close planting) affects tree growth differently based on seedling age, and suggests that the planting density of 5,000 trees ha-1 is suitable for 2-year-old seedlings to improve early growth field performance.
Yearling replacement heifers were used in a two-year study at the Fort Stanton Experimental Ranch near Capitan, New Mexico, USA to compare frequency (once versus three times weekly) of feeding a cottonseed cake supplement. The study involved periods of 130 days (January 4 through May 14) in 1985, and 146 days (December 4 through April 29) in 1986. In each year, supplemental periods were just before the breeding season (natural breeding in multiple-sire groups) that lasted for 75 days during first year and 60 days during second year. During the first year, all (83) heifers (Angus $\times$ Hereford) were supplemented at a level equivalent to 45 kg/head daily and during second year, all (69) heifers (Angus $\times$ Hereford, Hereford) were fed at a level equivalent to .68 kg/head daily. In the first year, heifers were sorted by initial weight into two replications, i.e., those weighing under 223 kg were placed in replicate 1 and those weighing over 223 kg were placed in replicate 2. During the second year, heifers were sorted by breed into two replications, i.e., Angus $\times$ Hereford heifers were placed in replicate 1 and Hereford heifers in replicate 2. Each year, half of the heifers in each replication were supplemented once weekly and the other half three time weekly. Weight gains of heifers were similar for the two treatments over both years of study. During the first year, weight gains for heifers supplemented once or thrice weekly (.23 vs .21 kg daily, respectively) did not differ (p>.05) and the same trend for the second year (.15 vs .16 kg daily, respectively) was observed. Similarly, breeding performance was consistent with weight gains and no difference (p>.05) between treatments was observed either year. Lower conception rates during the second tear of study (92 vs 72% for years 1 and 2, respectively) were due mainly to involvement of Hereford heifers that had an average weight of 232 kg at the start of breeding season and conception rate of 54% (averaged across both supplemental treatments). Based on the combined results of both trials, frequency of supplementation did not affect growth rate of yearling heifers nor did it influence their subsequent conception rate.

The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze factors which influence social and economic performance of social enterprises, and to examine the correlation of factors affecting social and economic performance. This study was conducted following the hypothesis that the organizational characteristics(organizational type, certification type, certification year, social service supply type, and external grants) of social enterprises affect social and economic performance, and that significant correlation exists between social and economic performance. This study collected the disclosure materials of 219 social enterprises certified between 2007- 2014 from the directory of the Korean Social Enterprise Promotion Agency. The study results are as follows: First, organizational characteristics affect social performance(i.e. jobs for the vulnerable classes). In addition, certification year and external grants had a positive effect on social performance. Second, the organizational characteristics affect the economic performance(i.e. sales), and certification year and external grants had a positive effect on economic performance. However, organizational type had a negative effect on the economic performance(i.e. sales). Third, analysis found a positive correlation of factors affecting social and economic performance. This study suggests the need to diversify support policies according to the number of authentication years in order to promote self-reliance and sustainability by maximizing the social and economic performance of social enterprises.
