라인압력제어 전자화 CVT 차량의 응답 특성 (Response Characteristics of Metal Belt CVT Vehicle with Electronic Controlled Line Pressure)

  • An electronic-hydraulic controlled line pressure system was suggested based on the mechanical controlled CVT base model. As a high level control strategy, a 3-D optimal line pressure map was obtained considering the driver's desire, driving conditions. Also, PID type low level controller was designed. Using the high level control strategy and the dynamic models of the base model CVT with electronic controlled line pressure system, performance simulations were carried out. It is seen from the simulation results that fuel economy of the electronic controlled strategy keeps the line pressure low, which results in the improved efficiency of the hydraulic system.

Development of On-line Performance Diagnostic Program of a Helicopter Turboshaft Engine

  • Gas turbine performance diagnostics is a method for detecting, isolating and quantifying faults in gas turbine gas path components. On-line precise fault diagnosis can promote greatly reliability and availability of gas turbine in real time operation. This work proposes a GUI-type on-line diagnostic program using SIMULINK and Fuzzy-Neuro algorithms for a helicopter turboshaft engine. During development of the diagnostic program, a look-up table type base performance module are used for reducing computer calculating time and a signal generation module for simulating real time performance data. This program is composed of the on-line condition monitoring program to monitor on-line measuring performance condition, the fuzzy inference system to isolate the faults from measuring data and the neural network to quantify the isolated faults. Evaluation of the proposed on-line diagnostic program is performed through application to the helicopter engine health monitoring.

  • Tracking and detecting targets by the millimeter wave seeker is affected by movement of platform. Stabilization equipments use an inertial sensor to compensate for disturbance of stabilizing gimbal or platform. In the direct line of sight stabilization system, an inertial sensor is mounted on inner gimbal to compensate the disturbance directly, so the performance is excellent and the implementation method is simple. However gimbal design requires somewhat larger volume. Since an inertial sensor is mounted on gimbal base in the indirect line of sight stabilization system, additional space of gimbal is not required for the gimbal design. However, this method does not directly compensate for the disturbance of the line of sight stabilization axis, which can degrade performance. In order to perform the tracking performance, two methods are analyzed for line of sight stabilization performance based on direct and indirect of a 2-axis gimbaled servo system for millimeter wave seeker in this study. The simulation and experimental results validate the performance comparison of two methods.

Characterization of PDP Performance Prepared by Vacuum In-line Sealing Technology

  • By using vacuum in-line driving and photoluminescence measuring system, we have examined the electrical and optical characteristics of plasma display panel produced by vacuum in-line sealing technology. In addition, the relationship between luminous efficiency and base vacuum level before filling discharge gas was analyzed. In the case of base vacuum level of $1.33{\times}10^{-1}$ Pa, the firing voltage of a 2-inch diagonal PDP panel was ranged from 312 to 343 V depending on the discharge gas pressure of $2.667{\times}10^4$ to $4{\times}10^4$ Pa at room temperature, Whereas in the case of $1.33{\times}10^{-4}$ Pa, the firing voltage was reduced by 40 V and luminescence was improved slightly.

Development of wind tunnel test model of mid-rise base-isolated building

  • This paper describes a method for developing a multi-degree-of freedom aero-elasto-plastic model of a base-isolated mid-rise building. The horizontal stiffness of isolators is modeled by several tension springs and the vertical support is performed by air pressure from a compressor. A lead damper and a steel damper are modeled by a U-shaped lead line and an aluminum line. With this model, the frequency ratio of torsional vibration to sway vibration, and plastic displacements of isolation materials can be changed easily when needed. The results of isolation material tests and free vibration tests show that this model provides the object performance. The peak displacement factors are about 4.5 regardless of wind speed in wind tunnel tests, but their gust response factor decreases with increment of wind speed.

  • 군 병력의 효율적 운용을 위한 정보공유의 수단으로서 높은 망 유연성을 제공할 수 있는 드론형 기지국이 최적의 플랫폼이 될 것으로 예상된다. 또한 넓은 대역폭을 활용 가능한 밀리미터파 주파수대역은 대용량 데이터를 송수신하는데 적합하지만 shadowing에 취약한 특성을 가지게 되는데, 자유롭게 고도를 조절할 수 있는 드론형 기지국의 특성을 활용하면 LoS를 안정적으로 확보하여 취약점을 상쇄할 것으로 기대된다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 요소가 반영된 드론형 기지국의 성능분석을 위한 모델링을 수행함으로써, 차후 군 통신망으로써 활용가능성이 기대되는 드론형 기지국의 성능평가에 대한 틀을 제공하고자 한다.

Study on Efficient Impulsive Noise Mitigation for Power Line Communication

  • In this paper, we propose the efficient impulsive noise mitigation scheme for power line communication (PLC) systems in smart grid applications. The proposed scheme estimates the channel impulsive noise information of receiver by applying machine learning. Then, the estimated impulsive noise is updated in data base. In the modulator, the impulsive noise which reduces the PLC performance is effectively mitigated through proposed technique. As an impulsive noise model, Middleton Class A interference model was employed. The performance is evaluated in terms of bit error rate (BER). From the simulation results, it is confirmed that the proposed scheme has better BER performance compared to the conventional model. As a result, the proposed noise mitigation improves the signal quality of PLC systems by effectively removing the channel noise. The results of the paper can be applied to PLC systems for smart grid.

PCS 공용 기지국 시스템 개발 (Development of Common PCS Base Station System)

  • 본 연구에서는 PCS 사업자 기지국의 RF부와 안테나를 통합한 하나의 공용 기지국으로 PCS 3사의 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 PCS 공용 기지국 시스템의 구현방안에 대해서 연구하고 제안하였으며, 구현된 시스템에 대한 무선 성능 평가 데이터를 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 PCS 공용 기지국을 구현하기 위해 다중 채널 결합기(multi-channel combiner), 듀플렉서, LNA, 전력 분배기(power divider), 전송라인(feeder line), 공용 안테나 등으로 이루어진 기지국 공용화 모듈을 설계 제작하여 PCS 사업자 기지국에 적용하였다. PCS 공용 기지국에 대한 FER, 호 통계, Ec/Io, 수신전력 등의 주요 무선 성능 파라미터를 대상으로 하는 성능 평가 결과, PCS 3사의 커버리지와 신호 품질이 PCS 사업자 기지국과 동등하다는 것을 확인하였다. PCS 사업자는 공용 기지국의 설치를 통해 설치비 및 운용비를 크게 경감할 수 있을 것으로 생각되고 본 연구의 결과는 효율적이고 경제적인 IMT-2000 서비스망 구축을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 헬리콥터용 터보축엔진의 온라인 상태진단을 위해 퍼지-신경망 알고리즘을 제안하였고 GUI 형태의 SIMULINK프로그램으로 개발하였다. 진단 프로그램 개발을 위해 look-up 테이블 형식 기본 성능 모듈로 계산시간을 줄였고 실시간 성능 데이터를 획득하기위해 신호 생성 모듈을 사용하였다. 이 프로그램은 계측성능상태를 모니터링하기위한 온라인 상태모니터링 프로그램과 계측데이터와 퍼지를 이용한 정성적인 상태진단과 신경 회로망을 이용한 정량적인 상태진단으로 이루어진다. 제안된 온라인 진단 프로그램은 헬리콥터엔진의 상태모니터링에 적용 가능여부를 확인하기 위하여 터보샤프트 엔진을 대상으로 검증하였다.
