Performance Evaluation Index of TRM: A Korean Case for SMEs

  • There is the need for performance evaluation and the identification of key success factors for utilizing technology roadmaps (TRM), but relevant research does not yet exists in this field. In Korea, the Small and Medium Business Administration has implemented the "Support Program for the Individual Company Technology Roadmaps" to promote the establishment of technology development strategies by SMEs. This study developed the framework and indices for performance analysis, designed and implemented survey for TRM performance analysis, and analyzed TRM performance of the companies that have participated in the above program from 2008 to 2011. This study compared the supported 97 companies and 102 companies not supported and analyzed quantitative and qualitative performance and satisfaction levels among the supported companies to compare low-performance companies and high-performance companies. This study aims to examine the KSF of TRM in terms of input and process. Also we suggested significant insights into the performance of TRM in terms of output.

  • This paper is the sequel of a companion paper (I. Performance Evaluation) evaluating the relation between the seismic performance of steel intermediate moment frames (IMFs) and the rotation capacity of connections. The evaluation revealed that the seismic performance of IMFs having the required minimum rotation capacity suggested in the current standards did not meet the seismic performance criteria presented in FEMA 695. Therefore, thepresent study evaluates the causes of the vulnerable seismic performance for steel IMFs and proposes alternatives to satisfy the seismic performance suggested in FEMA 695. To that goal, the results of nonlinear analysis, which are the pushover analysis and the incremental dynamic analysis, are examined and evaluated. As a result, high-rise IMF systems are seen to have the lower collapse margin ratio after connection fracture than row-rise IMF systems and, the actual response isfound to compared tothedesign drift ratio acting on design load design. Finally, the minimum design load values are proposed to meet the seismic performance suggested in FEMA 695 for IMF systems having vulnerable seismic performance.

횡단면분석과 추세분석을 이용한 슈퍼컴퓨팅 성능수요 예측 (Supercomputing Performance Demand Forecasting Using Cross-sectional and Time Series Analysis)

  • 국가차원의 슈퍼컴퓨팅 성능수요 예측은 슈퍼컴퓨터를 활용하는 계산과학분야의 연구자나 연구개발 인프라를 구축 운영하고 있는 전문기관, 과학기술 인프라구축을 주도할 정부기관에 있어서 매우 중요한 정보이다. 본 연구는 그동안 진행되었던 슈퍼컴퓨터 성능관련 예측활동 분석을 통해 과학기술 역량에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 도출하고 이를 슈퍼컴퓨터 기술진보 추세에 적용한 복합 예측모형을 제안하였다. 횡단면분석에서는 슈퍼컴퓨팅 성능에 영향을 미칠 것으로 판단되는 GDP, GERD, 연구원수, SCI논문수를 고려한 다중회귀분석을 수행하였다. 그리고 횡단면분석 결과에 Top500 자료의 성능(Rmax)값을 이용한 시계열분석을 통해 도출된 기간별 기술진보율을 곱하여 슈퍼컴퓨터의 성능을 예측하였다. 제안된 예측모형을 바탕으로 세계 슈퍼컴퓨터 500위의 시계열자료를 이용하여 한국이 2016년에 보유해야 할 슈퍼컴퓨터 성능규모를 예측하였다. 횡단면분석과 기술진보율을 적용하여 2016년 한국의 슈퍼컴퓨팅 성능수요를 예측해본 결과 현재의 추세를 이용할 경우 15~30PF 정도, 목표 국가수준의 추세를 이용할 때 20~40PF 정도의 컴퓨팅 역량이 필요할 것으로 예측되었다. 이 결과는 단순 회귀분석을 적용한 결과인 9.6PF와 횡단면분석을 적용한 결과인 2.5PF와 큰 차이를 나타내었다.

NDARC을 이용한 헬리콥터 개념설계 및 성능해석 검증 연구 (Validation Study on Conceptual Design and Performance Analysis for Helicopter using NDARC)

  • 본 연구에서는 단일로터-꼬리로터 형상의 일반 헬리콥터에 대한 개념설계 및 성능해석 기법을 정립하고자 회전익 항공기 개념설계 및 성능해석 코드인 NDARC을 이용하여 UH-60A 헬리콥터에 대한 개념설계 및 성능해석을 수행하였다. 적절히 가정한 임무 형상을 이용하여 UH-60A 헬리콥터의 개념설계를 수행한 뒤 설계 목표 값과의 비교를 통하여 UH-60A 헬리콥터의 형상 및 중량을 적절히 설계할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 더불어, 본 연구로부터 설계된 UH-60A 헬리콥터 모델을 이용하여 다양한 비행 조건에서의 성능해석을 수행한 뒤, 본 연구의 해석 결과를 UH-60A의 성능 시험 및 선행 연구의 해석 결과와 비교하여 본 연구 결과의 타당성을 검증하였다. 그 결과, 단일로터-꼬리로터 형상의 일반 회전익 항공기의 개념설계 및 성능해석 기법을 적절히 정립하였음을 확인하였다.

  • 공동주택의 비중이 점차 확대되고, 고층화되는 추세에 따라 공동주택 유지관리의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 이러한 필요성에 의해 최근 기존 건축물의 종합성능 평가모델이 개발되었으나, 업무의 분석이 미흡한 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 공동주택 유지관리 성능평가의 기반이 되는 유지관리 업무를 분석하여 성능평가 대상항목 도출을 목적으로 한다 유지관리 성능평가 후보항목은 기존문헌과 업무체계를 분석하여 도출하였고, 학계 전문가 및 주택관리사를 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 성능평가의 용이성, 체계성을 보완하였다. 최종적으로 결정된 성능평가 대상항목은 운영적 유지관리 성능평가 항목 14개와 기술적 유지관리 성능평가 항목 15개 항목이다.

특허지표와 기업 성과의 인과관계에 대한 분석 (Analysis of Causal Relationship between Patent Indicators and Firm Performance)

  • As business environment has become more competitive, the R&D strategies of firms have been regarded more important. Patent has information about technology which affects a firm's profit and it is considered as resources which have provided appropriate data for research of innovations and trends in technology. And patent indicators are known as qualitative representation of technology quality in an objective view. Also, they are available for the continuous and systematic analysis. However, most previous studies have focused on developing patent indicators to investigate patent value and characteristics. Furthermore they have limitations that most results is not significant that patent indicators have effect on firm performance-Tobin's q, Intangible assets based on balance sheet, sales and etc. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to propose proper a factor to represent a firm performance and to analyze causal relationship between patent indicators and firm performance. Intangible assets based on market value are employed as one of most significant firm performance indicator. The results indicate that intangible assets are appropriate for analyzing causal relation between patent and a firm performance with 7 significant indicators among 10 patent indicators. Considering firm's exogenous factors, regression analysis of each data for five years is performed. This result is similar to regression analysis of full data for all years.

패밀리레스토랑 조리사의 조직공정성인지가 직무만족 및 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of a Cook's Understanding of Organizational Fairness on Job Satisfaction and Business Performance at Family Restaurants)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of a cook's understanding about organizational fairness on job satisfaction and business performance at family restaurants in Seoul. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and SEM were applied to analyze the data. First, a confirmatory reliability analysis indicated that organizational fairness, job satisfaction, and business performance were sufficient to be used in this investigation. Organizational fairness, job satisfaction and business performance had generally significant relationships by implementing SEM. According to the results, distributive fairness (p< 0.001), procedural fairness (p< 0.05) and interactive fairness (p< 0.05) had positive influence on cook's job satisfaction. Job satisfaction had a positive influence on financial (p< 0.05) and non-financial performance (p< 0.001). Therefore, for the purposes of food-service companies' continuous increases in business performance and competition are generally necessary to suitably manage the fairness of various policies such as job stability, promotions, impartial distribution of salary, bonus and welfare work, and internal marketing.

기존 학교 건축물의 내진성능평가 및 보강방안 제안 (Proposed Seismic Performance Evaluation Enhancement for Existing School Building)

  • Recently large scale earthquake s are occurred around the world following the damage of buildings. So the interest of preparing for earthquake seismic design and seismic performance has becoming high. School buildings are though used for educational purpose; they are also used as emergency shelter for local residents during earthquake disaster. However, the current seismic design ratio of our country (Korea) is 3.7% and if massive earthquake is occurred it follows a serious damage. In order to overcome this situation, seismic performance evaluation is carried out for existing school building and an accurate and appropriate seismic retrofit is required based on performance evaluation to upgrade the existing school buildings. In this paper, nonlinear static analysis on existing school buildings for ATC-40 and FEMA-356 are carried out using the capacity spectrum method to evaluate seismic performance and to determine the need for retrofitting. In addition, after reinforcement to verify the effect of retrofit enhance the seismic performance is applied the seismic performance evaluation is carried out to verify the effect of seismic retrofit time history analysis using nonlinear dynamic analysis is also performed and nonlinear behavior of earthquake load of seismic retrofit of structures was also investigated.

신제품개발 전략유형과 그 성과에 관한 연구 (A study on the new product development strategy patterns and their performance)

  • A new product development is critical to the growth and success of most business firms. Increasingly, the new product development is recognized as an essential component of the corporate plan. But, relatively few research investigations have focused on the elements of a new product development strategy and its performance results. This study aims to identify the patterns of new product development strategy which business firms adopt, and its performance results. To identify these patterns and results, 268 firms in four industries known to be active in new product development were selected as a matter of convenience, and surveyed by the questionnaire and interviews. The questionnaire is composed of 67 strategy variables, 8 performance variables, and other variables. To analyze the data from samples, various statistical methods such as factor analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, sluster analysis, and one-way ANOVA were employed. This analysis brought forth the following major findings: First, three new product development strategy patterns were identified. Each strategy pattern was proved to be different from the others in terms of group of strategy elements that were adopted. Second, the new product development strategy was closely linked to its performance. Third, the difference of performance results among strategy groups in each industries was rather significant, however, the performance difference among industries in each strategy group was less significant.

보정곡선을 이용한 마이크로가스터빈 열병합발전시스템의 성능예측과 활용 (Performance Prediction of a Micro Gas Turbine Cogeneration System Using Correction Curves and its Applications)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a method to predict the performance and economics of a micro gas turbine cogeneration system using performance correction curves. The variables of correction curves are ambient temperature, ambient pressure, relative humidity and load fraction. All of the values of correction factors were expressed as relative values with respect to design values at the ISO conditions. Once the correction curves are obtained, system performance can be predicted relatively easily compared to a detailed performance analysis method through a simple multiplication of the correction factors of various variables at any operating conditions. The predicted results using the correction curve method were compared with those by the detailed and more complex performance analysis in a wide operating range, and its feasibility was confirmed. To illustrate the usability of the correction curve method, the results of an economic analysis of a cogeneration system considering varying operating ambient condition and load was presented.
