In this paper, we shows the implementation of Web based performance manager which analyze the traffic of a Web server to support the diagnostics of it. The manager monitors the HTIP traffic by polling and measures and presents is performance on demand. To enhance the adaptability of management interface Web based interfaces with JAVA is used. Recently, the need of traffic management on s Web has grown, because of increasing Web traffic. Therefore, the traffic management of Web service and the effective management of a Web server's performance are needed. We have designed interfaces with which is comprised of Collection-Request, Analysis-Request, Realtime-Monitoring, Comparison-Analysis on a client with Web Browser on a network, and implemented the server system that can analyze these requests. Also we have introduced some perfonnance indicator by referring a Web related MIB. Also, we have designed and developed a message format for communication between the Web client and the server system.
Influence of concentration polarization has been investigated on the vapor permeation of VOCs/$N_2$ mixture. Po]y(dimethylsiloxane)(PD,vIS) membrane which had a good affinit~, toward VOCs was emploj,'c'Cl in this study. The chlorinated hydmcarbons which were part of homologous series of chrolomelhane and chrolocthane were used as organic vapor. The vapor permeation experiments were calTied out at various VOCs feed concentrations. operating temperatures and feed flow rates. With decreasing feed flow rate. the membrane perfonnance, that is. penneation rate and selectivity were reduced in the permeation of VOCs/$N_2$ mixture. Especially the reducing of the membrane performance was founel to be more significant when the condensibility of voe was greater. voe content in the feed mixture was higher or operating temperature was lower. These observations were discussed in terms of the influence of con-centration polarizalion on the permeation of VOCSINl mixture through the PDMS membrane.

High performance induction motor drives are driven by two advanced control methods: vector control and direct torque control (DTC). In order to apply the control methods to the speed/position control systems, the informations on rotor speed and rotor or stator flux are required. The speed is measured by encoder, and the rotor or stator flux is estimated by using the motor parameters and measured currents. The control input generated on the basis of the information that is provided by abnormal sensors should be far from the desired value and deteriorates the overall control perfonnance. In this paper, the effects of sensor faults on the motor variables and the control performance of induction motor drives are analyzed by both theoretical approach and simulation study. The presented analysis results could be utilized for the purpose of developing a fault detection and isolation scheme in induction motor drives.

From the weakly nonlinear mild-slope wave equations introduced by Nadaoka et al.(1994, 1997), a set of weakly nonlinear wave equations for rapidly varying topography are derived by including the bottom curvature and slope-squared tenns ignored in the original equations ofNadaoka et al. To solve the linear version of extended wave equations derived in this study one-dimensional finite difference numerical model is con¬structed. The perfonnance of the model is tested for the case of wave reflection from a plane slope with various inclination. The numerical results are compared with the results calculated using other numerical models reported earlier. The comparison shows that the accuracy of the numerical model is improved significantly in comparison with that of the original equations ofNadaoka et al. by including a complete set of bottom curva1w'e and slope¬squared terms for a rapidly varying topography.

In the wireless mobile networks, it IS important to provide the quality-of-service (QoS) guarantees as they are increasingly expected to support the multimedia applications Although the QoS provisioning problem arises in the wire-line networks as well, the mobility of hosts and the scarcity of bandwidth make QoS provisioning a challenging task in wireless mobile networks. The resource allocation to multimedia applications of varying QoS reqUlrement 15 a complex issue. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive resource allocation scheme based on the concept of the resource reservation and the renegotiation in order to guarantee the QoS of the real-tune traffic. The proposed scheme is aimed at improving the perfonnance in terms of the new call blocking rate, the bandoff dropping rate, and the bandwIdth utilization.
Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) allows light transmission and the application of various colors that make it especially suitable for building-integrated PV (BIPV) application. In order to apply DSC module into windows, it has to be panelized: DSC module should be protected with reinforced glass to the entire surface. Up to date, it seems to be common to make double glazing with DSC modules with air gaps between the glasses and the DSC modules. Few research has been conducted on the characteristics of various glazing types with DSC modules. This study aims to analyze the electrical performance of DSC modules according to panelizing method for glazing unit with DSC modules. The prototype of the DSC glazing that applied silicone filler between DSC modules and glasses was developed. The electrical performances of this type of DSC glazing with the filler and rather conventional double glazing with DSC modules were compared. Their performances were measured using a solar simulator that is suitable for DSC performance testing. The results indicated that the electrical performance of the filler type DSC glazing improved by 7% compared to that of the conventional DSC double glazing type.
Lovastatin (LOVA), a fungal metabolite isolated from cultures of Aspergillus terreus, is a competitive HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor used for the treatment of primary hyper cholesterolemia, and has also been shown to suppress growth in a variety of non-glioma tumor cell lines. A sensitive reversed-phase high-perfonnance liquid chromatographic method with ultraviolet (UV) absorbance detection has been developed to quantitate LOVA in human plasma and urine samples using liquid-liquid extraction procedure. Baseline separation of LOVA and internal standard, simvastatin was achieved on a Novapak $C_{18}$ analytical column with a mobile phase containing 0.025M $NaH_2PO_4$: CAN (35:65, v/v%), adjusted pH to 4.5. The flow rate was set at 1.5ml/min, and the column effluent was monitored by a UV detection at 238nm. The limit of quantification was determined to be 0.5${\mu}$g/ml while extraction efficiency of LOVA ranged from 73.4-82.9% at LOVA concentrations of 0.5 to 10${\mu}$g/ml. Good linearity with correlation coefficients greater than 0.999 was obtained in the range of LOVA concentrations from 0.5 to 10${\mu}$g/ml. The accuracy and the precision were proven excellent with relative standard deviation (RSD, %) and relative error (RE, %) of less than 4.2 and 4.0, respectively. Intraday precision, evaluated at five LOVA concentrations (0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10${\mu}$g/ml) and expressed as RSD ranged from 0-1.82% while the interday precision at the same concentrations ranged from 0.7-10.5%. The analytical method described was then successfully employed for the determination of LOVA concentrations in plasma samples obtained during a phase II clinical trial using high doses of LOVA (30-40mg/kg/day). This method could be further utilized for the ongoing pharmacolkinetic studies and therapeutic drug monitoring of the high-dose LOVA therapy in adenocarcinoma patients.

In this study, we evaluated the heat release performance of two extruded-type and two swaged-type heat sinks used in an inverter for solar power generation. The number of fins and heat transfer areas of the two swaged-type heat sinks, namely S-62 and S-98, are 62 and 98 and $2.8m^2$ and $5.3m^2$, respectively. Those for the two extruded-type heat sinks, namely, E-38 and E-47, are 38 and 47 and $1.8m^2$ and $1.9m^2$, respectively. The heat release fractions of S-62 and S-98 were measured as 82.7 % and 86.3 %, respectively. Those of E-38 and E47 were measured to be 79.6 % and 81.6 %, respectively. In this experiment, despite the mass flow rates of air entering the heat sinks being almost the same, the heat release fractions increased with heat transfer area. Furthermore, despite S-62's heat transfer area being 47.4 % higher than that of E-47, its heat release fraction was higher by only 1.3 %. We believe that this indicates the better heat transfer property of the extruded-type heat sink. S-98's heat release is only 4.4 % higher than that of S-62, but its heat transfer area is 89.3 % higher; this suggests that its heat transfer area need to be optimized.
Objectives: The main purpose of this study was to investigate the possible differences in sleepiness, performance, and body temperature during the night between morning(M) and evening(E) type subjects. Methods: After a survey study, to verify the validity and reliability of the Korean translation of the Home' and $\ddot{O}stberg's$ Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire(1976), 8 extreme M-type subjects(3males, 5 females) and 8 extreme E-type subjects(3 males, 5 females) were selected from the university student population who had participated in the survey study. All subjects underwent sleep latency test and a battery of performance tests at intervals of 2 hours through the night, from 23:00 to 07:00. Oral temperature of each subject was taken every hour from 21 : 00 to 8 : 00. Between the testing times, the experimenters ensured that subjects remained awake. Results: More profound sleepiness was found in the M-type compared to the E-type throughout the night, with significant differences in sleepiness occuring at 23:00 and 01:00 hours. Overall performance efficiency tended to be lower through, the night in the M-type than in the E-type on all tests. A difference in time of temperature minimum between the two types was not noteworthy. Rather, there appeared to be a substantial difference in temperature level during the declining phase, with the temperature of the M-type being lower than that of the E-type. Conclusions: These results indicate the existance of a temporal relationship between sleepiness, perfonnance and body temperature during night work. Since the M-type exhibited greater sleepiness and lower performance efficiency overnight than the E-type, it may be assumed that the E-type is more suitable for and tolerable to night work. There was some discussion of the limitations in generalizing these results together with some suggestions for future studies.
