The Perfectionist Tendencies of Middle and High School Students who Major in Dance Impact on Competitive Anxiety and Dance Immersion (무용전공 중·고등학생의 완벽주의 성향이 경쟁불안 및 무용몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose is to identify the impact of perfectionism among middle and high school students majoring in dance on competition anxiety and dance immersion. 279 people were collected by means of a significant collection and survey tools were used in questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted for t-test, one-way random analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. There was a significant difference between perfectionist tendencies and competitive anxiety. There was a significant difference in perfectionism in dance immersion. There is a causal relationship between perfectionist tendencies and competitive anxiety and dance immersion. In order to increase dance immersion among middle and high school students, it is important to identify factors that can increase dance immersion by exploring various psychological factors.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the perfectionism tendency of university athletes on athletic commitment, and ultimately to provide the importance of psychological factors to foster excellent athletes. A survey was conducted on 170 athletes attending universities in Hanam, China and Suwon, Korea. To achieve the purpose of this study, it was analyzed using SPSS 22.0. As for the analysis method, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, internal uniformity, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed. As a result, in the effect of the perfectionist tendency of Chinese university athletes on exercise commitment, behavioral commitment and cognitive commitment among the perfectionist tendencies of university athletes had a significant effect. Through this study, it is believed that it will be meaningful for university athletes to provide basic data by investigating the relationship between perfectionism tendency and exercise commitment of university athletes.

The relationship between perfectionism and exercise burnout of amateur boxers

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the perfectionism tendency of amateur boxers and exercise exhaustion, to understand the perfectionism tendency of boxers in the sports of speculative sports, and to provide startigic insights for reducing exercise exhaustion. Research design, data, and methodology: In this study, adult boxers registered with the Korean Boxing Association of the Korea Sports Council in 2019 were selected as the research population. 280 boxers participated in the survey and responded the survey items, which were constructed by research variables, perfectionism and burnout. Data were analysed using SPSS version 18.0 for statistics. In details, frequency, correlations, exploratory factor analysis, multiple regressions were conducted to test the proposed relationship. Results: As a result of analysing the relationship between amateur boxers' perfectionism and athletic exhaustion, it was con-firmed that when the self-oriented perfectionism among amateur boxers' perfectionist tendencies was high, it had a significant effect on exercise burnout. Conclusions: In order to reduce the pressure of amateur boxers to win and the pressure to pass through the weight class, which is characteristic of weight control events, if the athlete manages himself well, the athlete's exercise exhaustion will decrease. If professional mental training is combined, it is judged that amateur boxing will be able to develop once again.

Thwarted belongingness: Concept Analysis (좌절된 소속감의 개념분석)

  • The purpose of this study is conceptual analysis study on the thwarted belongingness, and was based on the conceptual analysis method of Walker & Avant to make clear concept. Thwarted belongingness can be defined by the following attributes: distorted beliefs, insufficient need to belong, a sense of alienation, and insufficient interaction and affection needs. The prerequisites for thwarted belongingness were social isolation, experiences of exclusion or conflict in interpersonal relationships, perfectionist tendencies, and sensitivity to rejection. The consequences occurring as a result of thwarted belongingness were suicidal ideation, decreased happiness and life satisfaction, negative emotions such as anxiety about rejection, depression, shame, loneliness, stress or anger, aggression, hostility and self-criticism, despair, suppression of emotional expression, lethargy, self-exclusion from relationships, and identity confusion. This study is valuable to identify the extent of preventable nursing interventions related to individual mental health and suicidal ideation related to interpersonal relationships, and suggests future tool development and field studies of thwarted belongingness.
