순간 노출되는 표적의 식별과 부적 반복효과에 지각부하가 미치는 영향 (The Influence of perceptual load on target identification and negative repetition effect in post-cueing forced choice task)

  • 지각부하 이론(Lavie, 1995)에 따르면 지각부하가 높을수록 방해자극의 영향이 감소한다. 지각부하를 다룬 연구들은 문자열에서 표적 문자의 탐지에 걸린 반응시간을 측정하는 Eriksen과 Eriksen(1974)의 측면자극 과제(flanker task)를 주로 사용하였다. 한편, 순간 노출되고 사라진 문자열 중 보고해야 할 표적이 후단서로 지시되는 후단서 강제선택 과제에서는 부적 반복효과(negative repetition effect; NRE)가 관찰된다. 이 효과는 나란히 제시된 두 문자가 서로 다른 경우보다 동일할 때, 표적의 식별률이 더 떨어지는 것을 말한다. 후단서 강제선택 과제는 정보처리의 초기지각 단계와 관련한 처리 과정을 잘 보여준다. 본 연구는 지각부하가 후단서 강제선택 과제에서 표적의 정확 식별률과 NRE에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 검토하고자 하였다. 지각부하는 후단서에 의한 강제선택 대상인 두 문자(표적 후보) 사이에 삽입되는 제3의 문자의 유사성(실험 1; 'ㄹ', 'ㅅ', '·')과 개수(실험 2; 0개, 2개-왼쪽 대각선 배치와 오른쪽 대각선 배치, 4개, 실험3; 2개, 4개)로 조작했다. 실험 1에서 NRE의 경향성이 관찰되었으나 지각부하의 효과는 관찰되지 않았다. 실험 2에서는 NRE가 유의하였으며, 지각부하는 유의하였으나, NRE와의 상호작용은 관찰되지 않았다. 실험 3은 부하자극의 위치 변동성을 도입하여 강화된 지각부하의 수준에 따라 NRE가 변화할 것인지를 다시 확인하였는데, 지각부하의 효과가 관찰되지 않았다. 본 연구의 결과는 순간 노출된 표적에 대한 분리주의과정으로 인해 지각부하가 지각 정보처리의 초기 단계에 영향을 미치지 못하였을 가능성이 있음을 시사한다.

  • 우리나라의 해외방문객이 증가하고 우리나라 국민들의 해외 방문이 빈번해짐에 따라 국내 소비자들의 이문화에 대한 수용정도와 이문화제품에 대한 인식에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 개인성향인 지각적 호기심을 포괄적 지각 호기심과 세부적 지각호기심으로 구분하여 지각적 호기심이 이문화에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향과 이문화제품에 대한 추천의도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 개념 및 측정항목의 타당성과 데이터의 신뢰성을 검증을 위해 SPSS, LISREL을 이용하였으며, 구조방정식모델을 통해 가설을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 가설1인 포괄적 지각호기심은 이문화에 대한 태도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 가설2인 세부적 지각호기심은 이문화에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향이 유의하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 가설3 이문화에 대한 태도가 이문화 제품에 대한 추천의도에 미치는 영향은 유의한 것으로 나타나 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Analysis of the JND-Suppression Effect in Quantization Perspective for HEVC-based Perceptual Video Coding

  • Transform-domain JND (Just Noticeable Difference)-based for PVC (Perceptual Video Coding) is often performed in quantization processes to effectively remove perceptual redundancy. This study examined the JND-suppression effects on quantized coefficients of transform in HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding). To reveal the JND-suppression effect in quantization, the properties of the floor functions were used for modeling the quantized coefficients, and a JND-adjustment process in an HEVC-compliant PVC scheme was used to tune the JND values by analyzing the JND suppression effect. In the experimental results, the bitrate reduction decreases slightly, but the PSNR and perceptual quality are improved significantly when the proposed JND adjustment process is applied.

  • 눈 운동과 관련된 공간지각 왜곡이 다양하게 보고 되었는데, 대부분의 공간지각 왜곡이 두 눈이 동일한 방향으로 움직이는 눈 운동에 국한되어 연구되었다. 이형철, 감기택, 김은수와 윤장한 (2002)은 두 눈이 각기 반대 방향으로 움직이는 원근방향 추적 눈 운동 동안에 시공간적인 중첩패턴에 의해 정의되는 대상의 경사가 체계적으로 왜곡되어 지각된다는 것을 보고하였다. 본 연구에서는 배경과 대상이 상이한 명도를 갖는 반투명 대상의 경사가 원근방향 추적 눈 운동에 의해 왜곡되어 지각되는지를 검증하였고, 동시에 목표대상의 주위에 존재하는 참조자극이 경사지각 왜곡에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다.

지각적 부담과 범주 별 희석이 시각 탐색에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Perceptual Load and Category-Specific Dilution on Visual Search)

  • 선택적 정보처리에 관한 지각적 부담 가설과 희석 가설을 비교하기 위해 세 개의 실험을 실시하였다. 지각적 부담 가설은 행동 목표에 부합하는 과제의 지각적 부담이 적을수록 불필요한 정보가 더 깊이 처리될 수 있다고 보는 반면, 희석 가설은 지각적 부담에 관계없이 제한된 주의 자원에 대한 경쟁에 의해 정보 선택 여부가 결정된다고 본다. 두 가설을 비교하기 위하여 표적 탐색의 지각적 부담이 방해자극의 반응 간섭에 미치는 영향을 측정하였다. 실험 1과 2에서는 탐색 배열을 구성하는 비표적자극의 개수와 색깔을 각각 조절하여 시각탐색의 지각적 부담을 조작하였다. 그 결과 방해자극의 간섭은 지각적 부담에 상관없이 비표적자극이 많을수록 감소하였다. 실험 3에서는 비표적자극의 역할을 규명하기 위해 비표적자극과 방해자극의 지각적 범주를 같거나 다르게 제시하였다. 그 결과 지각적 범주가 같을 때에만 방해자극의 간섭이 감소하였다. 전반적으로 본 연구의 결과는 지각적 부담 가설보다는 희석 가설과 일치하며, 더 나아가 시각 정보의 선택이 지각적 범주 별로 특화된 주의 자원의 제약을 받는다는 증거를 제공한다.

신부의 웨딩드레스와 화장에 대한 기대선택 속성과 지각만족 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Attribution of Expected Selection and Perceptual Satisfaction Factor in Wedding Dress and Wedding Make-up)

  • The purpose of this study examines difference of cunsumer satisfaction by expected selection attribute of wedding dress and bride make-up. It is looking into influencing variables in consumer satisfaction, and is supplying real information to wedding market. The subjects of this study were 241 women getting married within one year of Daegu. The data were analyzed by using frequency, mean, the standard deviation, ANOVA, duncan test, correlation analysis, cross-analysis. Conclusion obtained from the results and discussions of the research are as follows: 1) In the attribution of expected selection according to occupation, blue-collar women are concerned about cost factor but they are low content with the perceptual satisfaction factor. 2) When selecting places for wedding dresses and wedding make-up, in the attribute of expected selection about the number of visiting the shop for wedding dresses and make-up, people who visit over 7 dress shops are highly interested in the appearance fancy degree, advertisements effect factors. But they are concerned with advertisements effect factor, cost factor in the perceptual satisfaction factor about wedding dress. Besides, the more they get chances to visit many dress shops, they are concerned with advertisements, cost factors, and satisfied with both the effect of advertisements and appearance factor degree in the attribution of expected selection about wedding make-up. 3) In the attribution of expected selection about the cost of wedding dresses and make-up, the lower the cost paid, people are interested in price factor. Furthermore, in the attribution of expected selection about the wedding dress and make-up cost, those who spent over 150 million Won are interested in quality, others influence factor, and the case of less than 120~150 million Won, people are highly interested in the appearance fancy degree, advertisements effect factor, and the women are satisfied with the advertisement effect factor in the perceptual satisfaction factor of wedding make-up.

군 간호원의 지각 향상이 근무효율성에 미치는 영향 (A Study on Effect of Perceptual Orientation to the Army Nurses′Effectiveness Introduction)

  • This study is designed to reveal the relationship of Army Nurses′ effectiveness to their perceptual orientation. Studies on nurses are very few despite of highly professional duties which deal with human lives. Effectiveness of nurses could be seen from both within and without. At present study, however, the researcher tried to work on the point of view of perceptual psychology. The study was designed !o fined the relationship of "Perceptual Orientation Scale"to their ratings training courses and experiences. The subjects are limited to nurses serving in the Army of the Republic of Korea. Many researches on nurses, such as Young Bok Lee(1970), Sook Ja Yoo(1971) Young Sook Hong (1970), Ik Do Choi (1966), are dealt with their attitude, morale, how to see their profession, adjustability and college lives, tut no one ever studied their subjective perceptual orientation. Method "Perceptual Orientation Scale"(Chunghoon Choy, 1971) was administered to 315 Army Nurses during the period of June to November 1971, and the relationship with their ratings by their supervising officers, training courses and their experiences were tested. All the relationship were calculated by the method of Chi-Squares. Result 1) There is no significant relationship between "Perceptual Orientation Scale" and their ratings. 2) There is no significant relationship between "Perceptual Orientation Scale" and their training courses. 3) There is no significant relationship between "Perceptual Orientation Scale" and their experiences. Conclusion As far as calculated result are concerned the research could not fined any Significant relationship. Therefore we can conclude that "Perceptual Orientation Scale"of the nurses has nothing to do with nurses effectiveness. It means the Army Nurses rating method has to be modified at once. Also we have to continue to fined mole significant effectiveness criteria and other researches be encouraged.

프랜차이즈 가맹본부와 가맹점 간 이해관계불일치가 관계몰입과 관계성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Composite Incompatibility on Relationship Commitment and Performances in Franchiser-Franchisee Relationship)

  • Purpose - Domestic franchise market has been grown steadily, reaching 50 trillion won in sales and 3,360 franchise headquarters in 2014. A franchise system is an effective business system for the franchisees to lower the failure rate due to the fact that the inexperienced entrepreneurs are supported by their headquarters through the franchisee contract. However, there are also conflicts between franchiser and franchisee behind the quantitative growth of domestic franchise industry. Therefore, it is very important to structure the causes of conflicts and to examine the effect of factors on the relationship commitment and performances. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, the author divides the composite incompatibility between the franchise and the franchisee into goal incongruity, domain dissensus, and perceptual differences, and examines each dimension to the relationship with commitment and performances. To verify the proposed research model and test hypotheses, the author selected 200 franchise responses in food and beverage industry. The data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS structural equation modeling program. Results - The empirical findings provide goal incongruity and perceptual differences have a negative effect on the affective commitment, but not the calculative commitment. In addition, affective commitment and calculative commitment are found to have a positive effect on re-contractual intention and extended brand shop running intention, respectively. Affective commitment have a stronger effect on re-contractual intention than calculative commitment. Conclusions - First of all, the fact that goal incongruity and perceptual differences negatively affect the affective commitment, but it does not affect the calculative commitment. It means the relationship commitment in distribution channel are multi-dimensional concept that may be attributed to emotional or affective dimensions but may exist in terms of necessity or power-dependence. Second, the level of relationship commitment such as affective and calculative commitment to franchise headquarters positively affects the re-contractual intention and franchiser's extend brand shop running intention suggest that franchiser should encourage and support existing franchisee's commitment. Third, the fact that affective commitment has a greater effect on relationship performance than calculative commitment means to induce franchisee's affective commitment and to prevent the inconsistency between goals and perceptual differences.

한·중 청자의 음높이 변화에 대한 지각 연구 (Cross-linguistic Study of Perceptual Cues to F0 Variations)

  • This study aimed to identify the differences in pitch perception between tonal and non-tonal language listeners. A total of 60 Korean and Chinese listeners participated in the perception test. A two-syllable nonsense word /paba/ was manipulated in five steps. The pitch height or contour on the second syllable was raised or lowered. Both groups were asked to select which of the two syllables had the higher pitch. The findings showed that the majority of Korean listeners (GK) perceived decreased pitch as each peak of the syllable was lowered and perceived increased pitch as it was raised, which means the pitch height is a primary perceptual cue for GK. However, Chinese listeners (GC) perceived sensitive pitch movements as the pitch contour changed. GC's perception may presumably be affected by the L1's tone sandhi. We found it reasonable to assume that language experience has a significant effect on the cross-linguistic perceptual differences between tone and non-tonal language listeners.

Vowel epenthesis and stress-focus interaction in L2 speech perception

  • The goal of the current study is to investigate whether L2 learners' perceptual ability regarding epenthetic vowels is interconnected with other aspects of speech recognition, such as lexical stress, sentence focus, and vowel recognition. Twenty-five Korean L2 learners of English participated in perception experiments assessing vowel epenthesis oddity, lexical stress oddity, sentence focus oddity, and vowel identification. Results indicate that accuracy on the vowel epenthesis oddity test is influenced by both lexical stress and sentence focus, suggesting that perceptual ability regarding epenthetic vowels is influenced by the acquisition of L2 rhythmic structure at both word and sentence levels. Additionally, this study identifies a proficiency effect on vowel epenthesis recognition, implying that the influence of L1 phonotactics diminishes as L2 proficiency increases. Taken together, this study illustrates the interaction between perceptual abilities in vowel epenthesis and prosodic stress in the field of L2 speech perception.
