The main objective of this study was to investigate the awareness and perception of young professionals in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam countries on the ASEAN Economic Community (hereafter, AEC). Data from a survey of 575 young professionals, with approximately equal distribution from each country, were collected in June and July 2015. Research findings revealed that the knowledge and understanding of the AEC among the Gen Y professionals were still marginal. Although they lack awareness, young professionals had a good impression and perception of the AEC in connection with important benefits for them individually as well as for their country. Finally, the study revealed that the Gen Y professionals showed some level of optimistic attitude that they could succeed in the AEC as they thought that they were quite well prepared, having sufficient skills to work or to do business in other ASEAN countries.

This study discusses the library professionals' perception of the ICT Applications in engineering college libraries in Tamil Nadu. The relevant data was collected from the library professionals in the self financing engineering colleges situated in Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. 625 questionnaires were distributed, 504 replied with a response rate of 80.64%. It was found that the respondents with experience 'Below 5 years'gave 'Lack of infrastructure' as the first priority. 'Lack of interest on the part of users' and 'No support from administration in training library professionals' were the second and third preferences indicated by the respondents. The least preferences were given for 'Fear of ICT application'. Similarly, respondents with experience '6-10 years' indicated 'No support from administration in training library professionals' as the first priority. The least preference was given for 'Inadequate training in ICT applications' by the above respondents. It can be inferred that the professionals accepted and need the training in ICT applications.

Background: Violence against health professionals is an increasing problem in Turkey. This study aims to determine the societal perception of violence, experience of violence, and the intentions to use violence against health professionals. Methods: This descriptive study sample comprised 484 individuals. Data were collected by using the "Descriptive Information Form" and "Intentions to Use Violence against Health Professionals Scale." Results: Of the participants, 8.3% used violence against health professionals. Most of the participants (81.2%) stated that violence was not a solution, and 65.9% believed that health professionals did not deserve violence. Past behavior of the participants was the most influential factor on the intention to use violence (β = .473, p = 0.000). Conclusions: More than half of the participants believed that health professionals did not deserve violence and violence was not a solution. We found that intention to use violence was affected by past experiences.

The complexity arises in defining the construction quality due to its perception, based on inherent market conditions and their requirements, the diversified stakeholders itself and their desired output. A quantitative survey based approach was adopted in this constructive study. A questionnaire based survey was conducted, for the assessment of construction quality perception and expectations in the context of quality improvement technique. The survey feedback of professionals, from the leading construction organizations/companies of Pakistan were analyzed. The financial capacity, organizational structure, and construction experience of the construction firms formed basis for their selection. After statistical analysis of survey feedback it was found reliable and valid for the inferential purpose to the target population of construction professionals. The quality perception was found to be project scope oriented, considered as an excess cost for a construction project and keeping the rework minimum by qualifying the required quality tests, keeping the defects minimum by ensuring the specifications of supplied material. Any quality improvement technique was expected to address the financial aspects of the construction project for the employer and contractor, by increasing the profitability through reduction in overall cost, reduction in time, reduction in defects and improving the productivity in a construction project. The study is beneficial for the construction professionals to assess the prevailing construction quality perception and the expectations from implementation of any quality improvement technique in construction projects.

연구목적은 불량고객 행동지각이 감정부조화 및 직무열의와 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적 연구 하였다. 표본은 뷰티종사자327명이다. 연구방법은 빈도분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 단순회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 불량고객 행동지각이 감정부조화 및 직무열의가 상실되는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 불량고객 행동지각이 감정부조화에 통계학적 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 불량고객 행동지각이 경영성과에 통계학적 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 감정부조화가 직무열의에 통계학적 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 다섯째, 경영성과가 직무열의에 영향을 미치는 것으로 보아 통계학적 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 불량고객 행동지각은 뷰티종사자의 감정부조화로 인해 직무열의 및 경영성과에 부정적 요인을 주는 것으로 사료된다.

정보보호 분야에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 정보보호 인력 양성에 대한 연구가 다각도로 진행되어 왔다. 현재 정보보호는 그 적용 분야가 광범위해짐에 따라 정보보호 인력이 수행하는 업무 범위도 증가하고 있어 보다 효율적인 인력의 양성 및 관리를 위한 노력이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 정보보호 전문인력이 직무수행시 필요로 하는 전문 지식 및 기술을 분석하여 교육 프로그램 개발 및 운영에 반영해야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 문헌고찰 및 델파이 방법을 통해 정보보호 분야의 58개 지식 및 기술을 도출하고 산업체와 교육기관에 종사중인 정보보호 전문인력을 대상으로 각 자식 및 기술에 대한 필요정도 및 숙련정도를 조사하였다. 이와 함께 두 분야 전문인력의 정보보호 지식 및 기술에 대한 인식의 차이를 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 정보보호 신규인력을 배출하는 교육기관과 신규인력에 대한 수요처인 산업체 간 인식의 격차를 최소화하고 상대적으로 산엽 현장에서 요구하는 지식 및 기술을 중심으로 한 교육 프로그램의 개발과 운영을 위해 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in perception of the New Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG)-based payment system, make overall evaluation after participation, and examine opinions on further policy improvement among employees of a public hospital participating in the pilot project in Korea. Methods: We investigated changes in perception of the New DRG-based payment system before and after participation in the pilot project using a qualitative research method. We conducted individual in-depth interviews with the management and healthcare professionals and Focus Group Interviews (FGIs) with the staff in the nursing and administrative departments. Results: Before implementing the pilot project of the New DRG-based payment system, the management was in favor of participating in the pilot project, whereas the healthcare professionals were strongly opposed to participation in the pilot project, and the staff in the nursing and administrative departments were slightly opposed to participation. After implementing the pilot project, there were remarkable changes in the perception of the New DRG-based payment system among healthcare professionals and the administrative staff. Healthcare professionals' perception was altered in a positive way, while the administrative staff's perception of the system became negative. Conclusion: There were no restrictions on clinical practice or deterioration of quality of care observed in association with the participation in the New DRG-based payment system. However, certain unintended consequences of the New DRG-based payment system may arise as well. Therefore, the government needs to examine the problems identified in this study to reflect on and improve the New DRG-based payment system for stable expansion.

This study was intended to examine the change in the perception of the professionals for the environment-friendly apartments. After result of implementing the question survey against the professionals two times, the degree of importance in the environment-friendly design elements didn't show any significant change. However, it showed the degree of maturity on the concept of environment-friendly development is widely spreaded in terms of social, economic and environmental aspects. Based on the description of such results, the conclusion can be deduced as follow; 1) Presumably it would require 5 years for the diffusion of the concept of environment-friendly apartments and 10 years for the construction of developing its materialization and settlement respectively, 2) The proper density would be designed in $150{\sim}200%$ in view of the environmental and economic aspects. 3) It is necessary to change the existing system into the District Unit oriented planning & design method in order to apply the environmental design elements in smooth manner.

The purpose of this study was to identify the opinions on 'Dagagu' Housing Purchase and Public Rental Program by public officials and professionals in the area of social or housing welfare to suggest ideas for improvement of this program. Data were collected from 146 public officials and 108 professionals in the area of social or housing welfare. Respondents showed that the perception on this program was not high, especially respondents working in Seoul showed lower perception than respondents in other localities in spite of experience of pilot program executed in Seoul. Respondents also thought that this program will take an realistic role to improve housing welfare for urban poor. Other opinions to practice this program were also suggested.

Perceptions of Library and Information (LI) professionals in Nigeria and the impact of COVID-19 on libraries, librarians and library services, were studied. The significance of demographic factors on LI professionals' perception of COVID-19 and its impact on libraries was tested. Descriptive survey design and Purpose sampling technique were adopted. LIS professionals in Nigeria constituted the population, and an online questionnaire designed by the researchers through Microsoft Forms was used. Descriptive analysis of respondents' demographic data and their covid-19 perception were presented in frequencies and percentages using tables while multivariate regression technique was used to test the significance of relationship between variables at P < 0.05. Findings revealed that many (61.4%) of the respondents agreed that COVID-19 is real but have personal reservations. However, 47.5% indicated that COVID-19 is a scientific invention. On the impacts of COVID-19 on libraries, the study found that COVID-19 is a game changer that will enhance the creation of new services by libraries, cause the reconfiguration of library space for safe operations in post-COVID, establishment of new rules and regulations, and more reliance on e-resources. On the test of association, educational qualification of respondents had a significant impact on respondents' perceptions that COVID-19 will reduce the use of library print resources (P-value = 0.005, B: 0.38, [95% CI: 0.115 - 0.646]) and that library will create new services to address the changes caused by COVID-19. Also, educational qualification of respondents significantly influenced respondents' perception that COVID-19 is real. The study recommends that libraries should take advantage of the season to innovate, and that public health institutions should continually educate people on corona virus to disabuse people's mind of conspiracy theories.
