The Study Regarding Involvement of Fashion Consumers and Clothing Advertising Effect Process (패션상품 소비자의 관여도와 의류광고효과과정에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of 7his study was to understand the characteristic of involvement which affect to consumers of fashion market, and at the viewpoint of complex style, this involvement is consists of clothing involvement, advertising involvement and situation involvement, also by verifying the consumers reaction to clothing advertising effect process. It analyzed at last six hundred eighteen women in the age of twenty to thirty yearn old who live in Seoul. SPSS package were used to analyze the gathered data. Frequency, percentage, fator analysis. ANOVA. duncan test, correlation analysis. The results of this study can be summarized as follows : First, The clothing involvement was the highest Involvement of fashion consumers and it showed high correlation among clothing involvement, advertising involvement, situation involvement. Second, Depends on the nature of involvement, involvement group is divided as the most involvement, high involvement, low Involvement and the most lowest involvement groups. Third, Involvement and advertising effect showed highly difference, and the higher involvement group has high perceptive process and memory progress, friendly attitude process, and purchasing intention is high.

  • The first introduction of reformed Korean traditional cloth in was started in the age of civilization and until liberation from imperialism it was made a reformation in faculty from Korean traditional clothing. And by 1980s western style costume took lead but after Asian Game in 1986 and Seoul Olympic in 1988 Korean traditional beauty was added to costume and there were various attempt to produce truly reformed Korean traditional clothing. The present condition of reformed Korean traditional clothing in 1990s are like this : 1) Most of reformed Korean traditional clothing ships could not fractionalize customers. So it needs to subdivide and specialize customer and investment to improvement of design. 2) A large percentage of reformed Korean traditional clothing is ordinary dresses. So it should develop various sorts and color, design and textile and be in harmony with international trend. 3) Most of shops handled a coordinate goods like a bag and shoes. 4) In the investigation customers they wanted various colors, high quality in design , logical price and a periodical sale. So four pieces of the reformed Korean traditional costumes were designed and produced based on the present condition.

A survey on the clothing consumption activity and the home background (피복의 소비행동과 가정 배경에 관한 실태조사)

  • The purpose of the study is to researdch clothing consumer behavior of men and women over age of 20 years and to find out the reasonable maximum utility on clothing behavior. The factors are eight distinguished parts such as sex, age, monthly income, occupation, floor space, number of room, number of family and place of residence. A common questionaire is introduced to survey the clothing consumption activity and the home background. Sources to measure them are gathered in the whole country including major cities. The questionaire of 915 correspondents of 368 males and 547 females is investigated for this research. Some of the data are analyzed by correlation, frequency, percentage, mean, and S.D. Others are investigated by ANOVA Test, x2-Test, and Multiple Range Test. The results from the survey are as followings: 1. Only four factors such as sex, monthly income, occupation, and floor space have a significance in the clothing consumption activity. 2. This survey reveals that many cloths have been kept in dead storage and concerns of utility have risen high. 3. This survey has shown that the correspondents have deep concerns about using colthing exchange store, clothing lending store, and trunk room to utilize dead storage clothing efficiently.

A Study on Clothing Buying Behavior by Clothing Involvement (의복관여에 따른 의복구매행동에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship of clothing involvement and clothing buying behavior of women. A questionnaire was developed to measure clothing involvement, clothing purchasing motives, clothing purchasing criteria, fashion information sources, store selection criteria, and demographic characteristics. The questionnaire was administered to 430 female adults in Taegu. The data were analyzed using percentage, frequency, factor analysis, and t-test. The results of the study were s follows: 1. Subjects were divided into low clothing involved and high clothing involved groups. 2. Three dimensions of clothing purchasing motives were derived by factor analysis such as Aesthetic dependant, Impulsive, and Practical motive. Clothing purchasing criteria were factor analysed as Aesthetic, Qualitative, External, and Economical criterion. Fashion information sources were factor analysed as Printed & audio-visual oriented media, Marketer intensive search, Store search, Observation & Interpersonal search, and Experience. Store selection criteria were factor analyzed as Merchandise & Store atmosphere, Store convenience, and Brand & fashion. 3. There were significant differences between high involved and low involved consumers in clothing purchasing behavior. The high involved consumers showed more importance than low involved consumers about purchasing criteria expecially in aesthetic dependant. The high involved consumers put more importance to aesthetic, qualitative, and external criterion as clothing purchasing criteria. The high involved information sources. The high involved consumers were more concerned about merchandise & store atmosphere, and brand & fashion than low involved consumers in store selection criteria.

  • The goal of this study is to investigate the consumers'shopping orientation among those who have experience in buying imported clothing and those who have no experience in buying imported foreign clothes, types of clothing they buy (planned purchase, non-planned purchase, impulsive purchasing), purchase behavior, and demographic characteristics. The data were obtained from questionnaires completed by 400 women in the Daegu area whose age was 20 years and older. The SPSS package was used for data analysis which includes a test of reliability, frequency, percentage, factor analysis, t-test, and $\chi$$^2$ test. There were significant differences in clothing shopping orientation, impulsive purchasing, use of information sources, store selection standards between groups who had experience of buying imported clothing and had no experience of it. Also, there were significant differences in education levels, income Levels, marital status between two groups.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the image discrepancy with Korean clothing and Western clothing using semantic differential scales. 19 adjective pairs were used for this study. The survey questionnaire were given to 946 married - women in Seoul. For the statistical analysis frequency, percentage, mean, ANOVA, t-test and Factor analysis were used. T he major findings were as follows: 1. To evaluate the women's clothing, four major factors were obtained and it was found that women evaluated quite differently their dresses with Korean and western styles. 2. The major evaluating factor of Korean dress was aesthetic aspect and on the other hand the main factor of western dress was functional aspect.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare fur clothing preferences of Korean and Russian women, and then to provide a beneficial data to Koran fur manufacturers who is working in Korea and advancing into Russia. 346 subjects were gather in Seoul and Moscow through convenience sampling method, and frequency, percentage, mean, x²-test, t-test were conducted for data analysis. The results were as follows: 1. Korean and Russian women's fur clothing buying motives, information sources, important factors on purchasing, purchasing, influences ere generally examined. 2. Russian women's fur clothing possession rate as well as fur clothing purchasing intention in the future were higher than Korean women's. 3. Fur clothing item, material, color, style, length which Korean and Russian women prefer were compared. 4. In case of shilhouette, Russia women showed high preference on swinger shilhouette, relatively Korean women preferred H-line. 5. In case of collar design, Russian women showed high preference on stand collar, relatively Korean women preferred notch collar or shawl collar. 6. In case of sleeve design, Russian women showed high preference on turn back cuffs sleeve, relatively Korean women preferred push-up sleeve.

  • is designed to study the college women's desirable clothing behavior in campus, and to find out the difference in person perception according to appropriate or inappropriate clothing. Detailed object is to find out the following differences according to appropriate and inappropriate clothing in campus: 1) formation of impression 2) inference of value. Addi\ulcorner tionally the difference in person perception according to major, grade and preference group are studied. For data collection, 460 college women who are attending Ewha Woman's University are included, and convenience sampling method is used. Frequency, percentage, mean, factor analysis, t-test, ANDV A. duncan test, correspondent analysis are used for data analysis. The result are as follows: 1) Wearer's impression is devided into four factors: appearence evaluation, personality evaluation, ability and activity. 2) There are significant differences in impression formation and value inference according to situational appropriateness. 3) There are significant differences in person perception according to major, grade and preference group.

  • The Main objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between lifestyle and clothing buying behavior of college female students in Japan. A questionnaire was developed to measure clothing urchasing motives, fashion information sources, evaluation criteria of clothing, store attribute and lifestyle, The questionnaire was administered to 131 female college students in Tokyo of Japan. the data was analyzed using percentage, frequency, mean, factor analysis, Cluster Analysis and ANOVA, Duncan Multiple Range test. The results of the study were as follows : 1. The female college students were classified into fourth subdivisions by the cluster analysis; rational group, economic group, progressive group, fashion-oriented group. 2. The clothing purchasing motives o consumers were significantly different according to lifestyle subdivision in social, personal. 3. In the case of fshion information sources, significant differences were found according to lifestyle subdivision in mass media information, information by marketer, information by consumer. 4. The evaluation criteria of clothing were significantly different depending on lifestyle subdivision in esthetic, quality and management, external criterion. 5. The store attribute were significantly different depending on lifestyle subdivision in convenience, service and atmosphere of store.

A Comparative Study on Clothing Purchase Behavior of Career Women in Big Cities of China - Focused on $20\~30's$ Women in Benjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Changchun - (중국 대도시 직장여성들의 의복구매행동 비교연구 -북경, 상해, 심천, 장춘의 $20\~30$대를 중심으로-)

  • This study was intended to compare and analyze the clothing purchasing behavior of Chinese career women in Benjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Changchun, and to provide useful information for establishment of marketing strategies for China. The subjects were 662 career women in their 20's or 30's living in Benjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Changchun. Data was collected through the questionnaire based on the theoretical and previous studies from April 9, 2003 to April 31, 2003. A total of 662 questionnaires was analyzed by frequency, percentage, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, and ${\chi}^2-test$. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Demographic variables such as an age, marriage, academic back ground, residential city, monthly income, and monthly expenditure on clothing were significantly different among the career women in Benjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Changchun. 2. Clothing purchasing behavior variables such as clothing purchasing motive, using informants, clothing selection standards, store selection standards, and satisfaction after purchasing clothes were significantly different among the career women in Benjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Changchun.
