To collect the data on the perceived importance level on the affecting the foodservice management contract, the questionnaires were developed by the delphi technique and modified by the pilot test. The questionnaires consisted of 4 categories and 19 items on the factors affecting the foodservice management contract and the importance level on the factors were measured by 5-likert scale. From March 12 to April 13 in 2003, the self-administrative questionnaires were mailed to 280 clients. The questionnaires were responded from the 50 clients (respondent rate: 25%). On the factors affecting the present contract and the future contract, among the 4 categories (the appropriateness of foodservice operation plan, the evaluation of the foodservice company, sales ability, the conditions of the cost in the contract), the importance level of the appropriateness of foodservice operation plan was higher than those of the other categories. There were the significant differences between the private contract and competitive bid on the factors affecting the present contract in the 3 items, which were $\ulcorner$renewal plan for interior and environment$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$strategic alliance with the contractor$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$lobby of the foodservice company$\lrcorner$ (p<.05, p<.05, p<.05). And on the factors affecting the future contract, there were significant differences in the 2 items, which were $\ulcorner$renewal plan for interior and environment$\lrcorner$and $\ulcorner$cost per meal$\lrcorner$in comparing the competitive bid and private contract (p<.05, p<.01). The clients perceived the appropriateness of foodservice operation plan was more important than the other categories in the future foodservice management contract. It was proposed that the foodservice management contract company should focus on the foodservice operation to satisfy the customers and clients in order to get more contract in the future.

  • Due to the intense competition and low switching cost, to find out which factors will significantly impact on user's continuance intention is very important for mobile instant messaging (IM) practitioners. In this study, we adopted network externalities and perceived service quality as independent variables based on the definition of mobile IM service. Network externalities also include direct externalities (referent network size) and indirect externalities (perceived complementarity). The result of this study shows that referent network size has a critical influence on perceived usefulness and perceived complementarity has a critical influence on perceived enjoyment; perceived service quality, as we expected, has significantly impact on not only customer's satisfaction but also perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment. Meanwhile, both perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment have directly critical influences on customer's continuance intention.

  • Mobile marketing is a brand new phenomenon. In Malaysia, marketeers do not seem to understand well enough the perceptions of consumers according to mobile marketing, especially to the mobile service users. This study analyses and evaluates any significant relationship between consumer perceptions and intentions with respect to mobile marketing, and seeks to determine the expectations, preferences, pattern and usage of the consumers of Mobile Marketing Product and Service (MMP&S). The data was obtained by convenience sampling in the big cities of Malaysia. A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed and a sample of 112 usable questionnaires was selected. The result of this research applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) point to the fact that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived innovative, social influence have a direct positive relationship with the intention to use mobile marketing. This, in turn, can shed light on the main factors determining consumer intentions to use mobile marketing that may control consumer adoption of mobile marketing.

  • The objective for this study was to clarify the relationships between perceived value, customer satisfaction, switching intention, and loyalty for foodservice. A total of 258 questionnaires were completed. Structural equation model was used to measure the causal effect. Results of the study demonstrated that the confirmatory factor analysis result for the data also indicated good model fit. The unrestricted model yielded a significantly better fit to the data than the restricted model. The influences of perceived value on customer satisfaction, switching intention and loyalty were statistically significant. The influences of customer satisfaction on switching intention and loyalty were statistically significant. Moreover, customer satisfaction played a mediating role in the relationship between perceived value and switching intention. Customer satisfaction also played a mediating role in the relationship between perceived value and loyalty. The obvious implication is the need for further consideration of similar composite models. The possible moderating effects of such individual characteristics as risk aversion, involvement, and experience/expertise, or switching cost might be relevant pursuits in future research. Finally, this research illuminates the need for additional research that considers the effect of perceived value and satisfaction on customers' decision-making and corporate profits.

  • The purposes of this study is to derive the influence factors of Virtual Reality(VR) technologies acceptance based on the study of unified theory of acceptance and use of technology and value-based acceptance model to test the use and acceptance of VR devices. The survey methods were used for this study, and the data from a total of 400 consumers were used for the analysis. And the structural equation model was used to analyze the data. The results of the study are as follows: First, benefit components perceived enjoyment(EN) and sacrifice components personal innovative(PI) of VR devices were positively related to perceived values and use intention of VR devices, although the benefit components performance expectancy(PE) was positively related to perceived values(PV) but was not positively related to the use intention of VR devices. Second, sacrifice components perceived cost(PC) and anxiety(ANX) of VR devices were negatively related to perceived value(PV), but were not negatively related to the use intention of VR devices. Third, perceived values was not obvious related to the use intention(UI) of VR devices. The results of this study contribute to the literature as a new attempt to examining the effect on consumer use intention in VR technology areas.

  • The purpose of this study was to measure consumers' recognition of service quality in Korean restaurants, and to compare the differences in perceived service quality according to consumers' general characteristics. Self-administrated questionnaires were completed by 1,494 subjects and data were analysed by frequency, factor, reliability, and subjected to t-test and one-way ANOVA. The major results of this study can be outlined as follows: Factor analysis on perceived service quality resulted in 4 factors: staff service (5 variables), menu quality (4 variables), price and value (4 variables) and atmosphere and convenience (5 variables). Cronbach's alpha values for the reliability were over 0.8 for all the factors. The mean value in the elicited factors was indicated to be in order of menu quality ($4.73{\pm}1.19$), atmosphere and convenience ($4.57{\pm}1.09$), price and value ($4.55{\pm}1.15$), and staff service ($4.46{\pm}1.12$). Also, a significant difference was shown in service quality, which was perceived according to consumers' general characteristics. A higher mean value in perceived service quality was shown in women than in men, in the older than in the younger, in people with a high frequency of visiting Korean restaurants than those who do so with low frequency, and in people with high cost expenditure when visiting than those with low cost expenditure. In terms of region, the mean value in perceived service quality was significantly lower for consumers in the Gwangju region than in other regions.

  • Over the years, numerous Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been vigorously established across many countries. Even though the Internet of Things (IoT) has enabled companies to anchorage business returns, most Indonesian MSMEs are highly susceptible to failure and one of the main issues is the inability to manage their financials effectively. The literature on accounting points out that the success of MSMEs owing to the usage of cloud-based Accounting Information Systems (AIS) or Cloud Accounting (CA) could reduce the rate of failure by managing multiple accounting information at a low cost. Although many benefits exist, Indonesian MSMEs are not adopting these platforms in their daily business activities. This study investigates the factors that influence Indonesian MSMEs' intention to adopt CA. The study is directed by unstructured in-depth interviews with seven bestseller MSMEs where a thematic analysis technique was employed to identify them. The interview findings and prevailing literature on the influencing factors based on the TOE (technological, organizational, and environmental) framework to adopt CA in Indonesian MSMEs context are perceived benefits outweighing the cost, perceived compatibility, perceived complexity, owner-manager knowledge on accounting, organization size, competitive pressure, and informal network. The conceptual model further includes government intervention as a moderator in the model.
