고속충격을 받는 표면처리된 알루미늄 합금의 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the fracture behavior of surface hardening treated aluminum alloy under the high velocity impact)

  • In order to investigate the fracture behaviors(penetration modes) and the resistance to penetration during ballistic impact of cold-rolled Al 5052 H34 alloy laminates, anodized Al 5052 H34 alloy laminates, and Al 5052 H34 alloy after cold-rolling, ballistic testing was conducted. In general, superior armor material is brittle materials which have a high hardness. Ballistic resistance of these materials was measured by protection ballistic limit(V50), a statical velocity with 50% probability for incomplete penetration. Fracture behaviors and ballistic tolerance, described by penetration modes, are observed respectfully, resulting from V50 test and Projectile Through Plate(PTP) test at velocities greater than V50. PTP tests were conducted with 0$^{\circ}$obliquity at room temperature using 5.56mm ball projectile. V50 tests with 0$^{\circ}$obliquity at room temperature were also conducted with projectiles that were able to achieve near or complete penetration during PTP tests. Surface Hardness, resistance to penetration, and penetration modes of Al 5052 H34 alloy laminates compared to those of cold-rolled Al 5052 H34 alloy laminates and anodized Al 5052 H34 alloy laminates anodized Al 5052 H34 alloy after cold-rolling.

실트질모래 지반에서 버켓기초의 압입저항력에 대한 원심모형실험 연구 (Jacking Penetration Resistance of Bucket Foundations in Silty Sand Using Centrifuge Modelling)

  • 서남해안 지역의 중간조밀한 실트질모래 지반에서 버켓기초 스커트벽체의 압입저항력을 원심모형실험을 통하여 분석하였다. 압입저항력은 석션을 작용하지 않고 버켓기초를 지반에 관입시킬 때 발생하는 저항력으로서 자중관입 깊이와 직접적으로 관계된다. 스커트벽체의 주면저항력에 의한 지반의 응력증가 효과를 고려하는 방법(Houlsby and Byrne, 2005) 을 기반으로 실험 결과와 유사한 압입저항력을 산정할 수 있었다. 압입저항력 산정에 이용되는 수평토압계수, 스커트 벽체와 지반간의 경계면 마찰각 등의 주요 물성값의 산정 방법에 대하여 기술하였다. 또한, 응력증가 효과의 고려 여부와 물성값의 변화가 압입저항력 산정 결과에 미치는 영향과 실험을 통해 계측된 압입시 지반거동에 대하여 분석하였다.

의료용 전동공기청정호흡기(PAPR)용 항균성 후드 및 필터 개발 (Development of Antibacterial Hood and Filter for Medical Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR))

  • 본 연구는 지카바이러스, 메르스, coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) 등의 감염병 방역 및 의료현장에서 사용할 수 있는 의료용 공기정화호흡기(powered air purifying respirators, PAPR)의 항균성 보호복의 후드와 필터를 개발하였다. PAPR은 전동팬 본체 및 필터, 배터리팩, 후드로 구성되며 보호복의 후드 소재는 뛰어난 흡습성, 풍압, 외부충격을 견딜 수 있는 폴리프로필렌 슐폰레이스(spunlace) 부직포 직물(SFS)을 사용하였다. 사용자의 감염위험을 낮추기 위해 후드의 외피에는 피톤치드계 물질을 사용하여 99.9%의 안티-박테리얼(antibacterial) 효과를 얻었으며 내피에는 친수가공을 하여 흡수성을 25% 향상시켰다. 의료용 보호복 후드에 필요한 인공혈액 침투저항성, 건조미생물 침투저항성, 습식세균 침투저항성, 그리고 박테리오파아지 침투저항성을 평가한 결과 2~6 단계의 합격평가를 받았다. 한편, 항균 처리된 슐폰레이스(spunlace filter, SF) 헤파 필터(high efficiency particulate air, HEPA)의 성능을 평가한 결과 우수한 항균성, 분진제거율, 차압 효과를 확인하였다.

콘 관입저항치를 이용한 수직배수재 타설심도 결정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Determination of Construction Depth of Vertical Drain by Cone Resistance)

  • 최근 피조콘시험은 과거 일반적으로 사용되었던 표준관입시험과 함께 연약지반의 특성을 평가하기 위해 빈번히 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 하부지반의 지층상태를 파악하고 설계를 위한 연약지반 심도 결정 및 시공시 수직배수재 타설심도 결정시 그 신뢰도를 향상시키기 위해서 표준관입시험결과, 선행압밀하중, 수직배수재 타설시 관입에너지와 피조콘시험을 통한 콘 관입저항치와의 관계를 분석하였다. 대상 지역별로 일정한 표준관입저항치를 기준으로 평균 연약지반심도를 결정하여, 동일한 심도에서 피조콘관입저항치를 값을 분석한 결과 qc=(1.09~1.63)N, 선행압밀하중을 고려한 결과 qc=(1.21~1.98)N의 관계를 나타내었다. 또한 수직배수재 타설시 관입에너지와 피조콘시험을 통한 콘 관입저항치(qc)와의 관계를 분석한 결과 평균적으로 피조콘 관입저항치 $10kgf/cm^2$의 경우 수직배수재 타설 시 관입저항치는 약 $65{\sim}70kgf/cm^2$ 의 값을 나타내었다.

  • Recently, piezocone penetration test is frequently conformed in order to estimate the characteristics of soft ground with standard penetration test, generally used in the past. The soil characteristics, such as cone penetration resistance, friction resistence and excessive pore water pressure, can be evaluated continuously through the piezocone penetration test. In Incheon International Airport 2nd phase site preparation, standard penetration test and piezocone penetration test were used in order to increase the confidence for determination of soft ground depth. And the compressible layer was determined by the comparison between the preconsolidation pressure and the designed increase pressure. As the results, the relation between standard penetration test and piezocone penetration test shows q$_{c}$=(1.09~l.63)N at the soft ground, determined by 5/30 N value. And q$_{c}$=(1.21~l.98)N was shown at the point of compressible layer, evaluated by the preconsolidation pressure. These results were applied to determination for the depth of soft ground and to design the improvement for the soft clay.lay.

Chloride penetration resistance of concrete containing ground fly ash, bottom ash and rice husk ash

  • This research presents the effect of various ground pozzolanic materials in blended cement concrete on the strength and chloride penetration resistance. An experimental investigation dealing with concrete incorporating ground fly ash (GFA), ground bottom ash (GBA) and ground rice husk ash (GRHA). The concretes were mixed by replacing each pozzolan to Ordinary Portland cement at levels of 0%, 10%, 20% and 40% by weight of binder. Three different water to cement ratios (0.35, 0.48 and 0.62) were used and type F superplasticizer was added to keep the required slump. Compressive strength and chloride permeability were determined at the ages of 28, 60, and 90 days. Furthermore, using this experimental database, linear and nonlinear multiple regression techniques were developed to construct a mathematical model of chloride permeability in concretes. Experimental results indicated that the incorporation of GFA, GBA and GRHA as a partial cement replacement significantly improved compressive strength and chloride penetration resistance. The chloride penetration of blended concrete continuously decreases with an increase in pozzolan content up to 40% of cement replacement and yields the highest reduction in the chloride permeability. Compressive strength of concretes incorporating with these pozzolans was obviously higher than those of the control concretes at all ages. In addition, the nonlinear technique gives a higher degree of accuracy than the linear regression based on statistical parameters and provides fairly reasonable absolute fraction of variance ($R^2$) of 0.974 and 0.960 for the charge passed and chloride penetration depth, respectively.

표면처리가 장갑재료의 방호한계에 미치는 영향 (An Effect of surface treatment on a Protection Ballistic Limits in armor material)

  • In order to investigate the effect of surface treatment in Aluminium alloy and Titanium alloy which are used to armor material during ballistic impact, a ballistic testing was conducted. Anodizing was used to achieve higher surface hardness of Aluminium alloy and Iron plating in PVD(Physical Vapor Deposition) method was used to achieve higher surface hardness of Titanium alloy. Surface hardness test were conducted using a Micro victor's hardness tester. Ballistic resistance of these materials was measured by protection ballistic limit(V-50), a statical velocity with 50% probability penetration. Fracture behaviors and ballistic tolerance, described by penetration modes, are respectfully observed from the results of V-50 test and Projectile Through Plates (PTP) test at velocities greater than V-50. PTP tests were conducted with 0$^{\circ}$obliquity at room temperature using 5.56mm ball projectile. V-50 tests were conducted with 0$^{\circ}$obliquity at room temperature with projectiles that were able to achieve near or complete penetration during PTP tests. Surface hardness, resistance to penetration. and penetration modes of surface treated alloy laminates are compared to those of surface non-treated alloy laminates. A high speed photography was used to analyze the dynamic perforation phenomena of the test materials.

Penetration Behavior of Jack-up Leg with Spudcan for Offshore Wind Turbine to Multi-layered Soils Using Centrifuge Tests

  • This study examined the jack-up spudcan penetration for a new type of offshore wind substructure newly proposed using the jack-up concept to reduce construction costs. The jack-up spudcan for offshore wind turbines should be designed to penetrate a stable soil layer capable of supporting operational loads. This study evaluated multi-layered soil conditions using centrifuge tests: loose sand over clay and loose sand-clay-dense sand. The penetration resistance profiles of spudcan recorded at the centrifuge tests were compared with the ISO and InSafeJIP methods. In the tests, a spudcan punch-through effect slightly emerged under the sand-over-clay condition, and a spudcan squeezing effect occurred in the clay-over-sand layer. On the other hand, these two effects were not critically predicted using the ISO method, and the InSafeJIP result predicted only punch-through failure. Nevertheless, ISO and InSafeJIP methods were well-matched under the conditions of the clay layer beneath the sand and the penetration resistance profiles at the clay layer of centrifuge tests. Therefore, the ISO and InSafeJIP methods well predict the punch-through effect at the clay layer but have limitations for penetration resistance predictions at shallow depths and strong stratum soil below a weak layer.

옥상녹화 방수 및 방근 기술로서 동판재의 적합성 및 시공성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Workability and Application of Cooper Plate based on the Waterproofing and Root Penetration Resistance)

  • To build up the green roofs, it must not adverse effect to durability and structural safety. That is conducted by safety system which consist of waterproofing to form basically, root barrier to protect the waterproofing. The reason why root barrier form is to protect the penetration force of root growth and the root could penetrate concrete surface, move inward so far. It may cause shorten the life span on concrete structure. For this problem, government constantly demand the solution to form the root barrier for waterproofing and concrete structure before the building is service. However, the technical action is not fully prepared. Therefore, in this study, we would like to suggest the workability and suitability of the copper plate to solve not only the side of waterproofing but also root barrier for green roof system and exhibit the mechanism for root penetration resistance and corrosion resistance.

  • Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian(ALE) 기법에 의거하여 콘 관입문제를 해석하였다. 완전한 관입을 모의하기 위하여 ABAQUS/Explicit을 이용하여 지반의 상향 유동을 모델링하는 정상상태해석(steady state analysis)을 수행하였다. 단일 지층의 해석에서는 흙 입자의 유동 경로와 변형률이 strain path method와 일관된 결과를 나타내고 있음을 확인하였고 극한저항을 합리적으로 계산할 수 있었다. 상이한 지층에 콘을 관입하는 경우에 대해서도 콘 저항이 전이하는 경향을 해석할 수 있었다. 따라서 ALE 해법의 정상상태해석으로 층상 지층에 대한 완전한 관입을 해석할 수 있었다.
