  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the causal relationships among self-efficacy, perceived usefulness, supervisor and peer support, satisfaction, and transfer intentions in the corporate mobile learning. For this study, the web survey was administered to 302 mobile learning learners of the A domestic corporation in South Korea. Structural equation modeling(SEM) analysis was conducted in order to examine the causal relationships among the variables. The results indicated that first, self-efficacy, perceived usefulness, and supervisor and peer support had positive effects on satisfaction. Second, supervisor and peer support and satisfaction had positive effects on transfer intentions. Third, satisfaction mediated the relationship between self-efficacy and perceived usefulness, while it did partially the relationship between supervisor and peer support and transfer intentions. Based on the result of the research, the study proposes organizational environment with cooperative supervisor and peer support should be made in order to improve the level of learners' transfer intentions. In addition, learning strategies that facilitate learners' self-efficacy and mobile information technology acceptance are needed to develop for enhancing the learners' satisfaction.

  • This study was conducted to identify the factors affecting nursing students' adjustment to college life. 364 students from six different nursing colleges were recruited into the study. The data were collected using questionnaires about bullying, peer support, ego-resilience and adjustment to college life and were analyzed using IBM SPSS 19.0 program. Data were collected from March 3rd, 2014 to December 12th, 2015. The results indicated that bullying(r=-.24, p<.001) had a significant negative association with nursing college adaptation. And adjustment to college life was positively correlated with peer support(r=.38, p<.001) and ego-resilience(r=.69, p<.001). The significant predictors of adjustment to college life were ego-resilience (F=334.33, p<.001), peer support(F=60.86, p<.001) and bullying(F=22.03, p<.001), explaining 47% of the variance. Based on the study results, we suggest that it is necessary to develop and apply the educational strategy to improve the peer support and ego-resilience for the adjustment to college life.

  • In this paper, we propose a distributed parent peer selection method to construct an efficient peer-to-peer(P2P) network topology by considering the capacity of a peer and the hop distance from a data source to the peer. To achieve this goal, we propose a method to combine the two performance metrics to calculate the probability that a peer becomes a parent peer. Using the probability, we propose a method to select a parent peer stochastically by making use of the state information of the neighboring peers that each peer maintains. Through simulation studies, we show that the proposed method drives high capacity peers to support more children peers and makes the diameter of the P2P network shorter than the other methods.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the potential of peer coaching for EFL teachers' professional development. For this study, 12 college teachers in Korea participated in a 10-week program. They were 7 males and 5 females, ranging in age from 24 to 37 years. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. Reflective analysis was used to analyze individual interview data. From the findings, two significant categories of peer coaching were identified: positive and negative responses to peer coaching experience. However, the overriding themes that emerged from the data were the benefits of peer coaching. The participants were almost unanimous in their acknowledgement of the advantages of peer coaching, such as reflective support through other's eyes, improved working environments, greater teaching strategies, higher professional self-esteem, and awareness of self-directed learning. Negative responses also appeared, mostly in regard to the working principles of implementation; the major issues of difficulties were time management, complexities of implementation procedure, stress and personal vulnerability, and relative lack of reflection and feedback skills. Demonstrating the participants' experiences towards the peer coaching program, this study provides EFL teachers with useful insights into peer coaching as an effective tool of their professional development.

  • SIn this paper, we introduce our experience for designing and implementing new concept of a global XML-based Peer-to-Peer (P2P) engine to support various P2P applications, and interconnection among PC, Web and mobile computing environments. The proposed P2P engine can support to heterogeneous data exchanges and web interconnection by facilitating with the text-base XML while message exchange are necessary. It is also to provide multi-level security functions as well as to apply different types of security algorithms. The system consist of four modules; a message dispatcher to scheduling and filtering the message, a SecureNet to providing security services and data transmission, a Discovery Manager to constructing peer-to-peer networking, and a Repository Manager to processing data management including XML documents. As a feasibility test, we implement various P2P services such as chatting as a communication service, white-board as an authoring tool set during collaborative working, and a file system as a file sharing service. We also compared the proposed system to a Gnutella in order to measure performance of the systems.

  • A P2P technology in distributed computing fields is presented various methods to share resources between network connected peers. This is very efficient that a degree of resources to good use as compared with peers by using centralized network by a few servers. However peers to compose P2P system is not always online status, therefore it is difficult to support high reliability to user. In our previous work of this paper, it is contributing to reduce the loading rates to select of new resource support peer but a selection method the peers to share works to download resources is very simple that it is just selected about peer to have lowest job. In this paper, we reduced frequency offline peers by estimate based on a average value of success rates for peers.
