물속에서의 무게와 압력에 대한 초등 교사의 교수 내용 지식 분석 (The Analysis of Elementary School Teachers' Pedagogical Content Knowledge on the Unit of "Weight and Pressure in Water")

  • The purpose of this study was to elucidate elementary school teachers' pedagogical content knowledge regarding the subject of "weight and pressure in water". 6 elementary teachers in charge of the 6th grade were selected for this study. The 7 hour lessons were observed over $15{\sim}20$ days, and a variety of data including scenarios, questionnaires for teachers, interviews of teachers were analyzed. As a result of this study, teachers who had long career histories thought that the purpose of teaching science was to teach the use of science principles, and teachers who had only taught for a relatively short time thought the purpose was satisfying students' curiosity. Most of the teachers felt that the science content knowledge related to buoyancy was insufficient. They had acquired most of the science content knowledge from teaming experiences in middle and high schools. The pre-service teacher education programs didn't help them to satisfactorily acquire the science content knowledge under analysis here. Most of the teachers taught the science lessons according to the order of sequence as shown in the science textbook. They didn't teach the contents that they thought were needed if they were not already included in the science textbook. Only one teacher who had taken science courses in high school managed the science classes freely according to his own thoughts and opinions. From the results of this research, it could be concluded that most elementary school teachers did not have enough pedagogical content knowledge to teach their students effectively.

Influence of Teaching Option and Teaching Experience on Science Teachers' Pedagogical Content Knowledge of Environmental Education

  • Environmental education is usually taught across the curriculum in most of the countries. This teaching approach has been a challenge for teachers to implement it especially in the Malaysian curriculum context. Thus, science teachers require effectual Pedagogical Content Knowledge of Environmental Education (PCK-EE). The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of teaching option and teaching experience on science teachers' PCK-EE. Five components of PCK-EE were investigated in this study, which were: a) knowledge of curriculum, b) knowledge of content, c) knowledge of student, d) knowledge of teaching strategies, and e) knowledge of evaluation. 347 secondary science teachers from the state of Selangor have participated in this survey study. The questionnaire used had 60 items. The findings revealed teaching option has a significant influence on science teachers' knowledge of content (p=0.000); knowledge of student (p=0.000) and knowledge of teaching strategies (p=0.016). In the case of teaching experience, it was found that there is a low correlation on knowledge of content (r=0.174) and knowledge of evaluation (r=0.170) only. Implication of this study leads to the suggestion in enhancing teachers' service training to improve their PCK-EE and subsequently their ability in teaching environmental education across curriculum.

  • The use of innovative technologies is one of the promising areas of education development, so the article clarifies the content of the terms "innovation" "pedagogical technology". Our goal is to justify the need to use innovative technologies in education. Innovative technologies are divided into four groups, depending on the appropriate form of educational activity for their use. The development of innovative pedagogical technologies at the present stage of education development should be carried out in accordance with the criteria of technological efficiency, which are presented in the article: scientific; systematic; guaranteed; manageable; mass. Based on the analysis of the process of formation of pedagogical education, the main trends in the information support of teachers in the system of pedagogical education were revealed. Its theoretical and methodological foundations were determined, promising directions and main ways of improving the information support of teachers' education as an organic component of continuous pedagogical education in Ukraine were justified. The conducted study of the state of information support for teachers allowed us to establish that the main functions of scientific and pedagogical information - analytical and predictive, integrative, operational and purposeful informing of various categories of specialists - teachers-are not being implemented enough. This is due to the versatility and complexity of the pedagogical process, the low level and limited range of development of systems of operational differentiated scientific and methodological services for various categories of teachers. Ways to improve the information function of teacher education are determined.

  • Artificial Intelligence has stimulated every aspect of today's life. Human thinking quality is trying to be involved through digital tools in all research areas of the modern era. The education industry is also leveraging artificial intelligence magical power. Uses of digital technologies in pedagogical paradigms are being observed from the last century. The widespread involvement of artificial intelligence starts reshaping the educational landscape. Adaptive learning is an emerging pedagogical technique that uses computer-based algorithms, tools, and technologies for the learning process. These intelligent practices help at each learning curve stage, from content development to student's exam evaluation. The quality of information technology students and professionals training has also improved drastically with the involvement of artificial intelligence systems. In this paper, we will investigate adopted digital methods in the education sector so far. We will focus on intelligent techniques adopted for information technology students and professionals. Our literature review works on our proposed framework that entails four categories. These categories are communication between teacher and student, improved content design for computing course, evaluation of student's performance and intelligent agent. Our research will present the role of artificial intelligence in reshaping the educational process.

중등 정보교사의 교수내용지식(PCK) 인식수준에 대한 연구 (The study about perception level of the Pedagogical Content Knowledge(PCK) of informatics teacher in the secondary school)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정보교사의 전문성을 향상시키기 위한 지식기반의 일환으로 현재 중등 정보교사의 교수내용지식(PCK)에 대한 인식수준을 파악하여 연구의 기초자료를 마련하는데 있다. 이를 위해 교수내용지식(PCK)에 대한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 정보교사의 교수내용지식(PCK)의 하위범주를 6개 영역으로 나누고, 전문가 검토를 통해 31개의 문항으로 수정 보완하여 현직 중등 정보교사 34명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 결과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 교수내용지식(PCK) 영역 전체의 평균 점수는 3.87이었다. 또한, 경력에 따른 중등 정보교사들의 교수내용지식(PCK) 인식수준은 교육과정 지식에 대해서 10년 미만인 교사 집단과 10년 이상인 교사 집단이 유의수준 .05에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다.

  • The article highlights the features of professional activity teacher on the basis of tolerance, the content and types of this phenomenon are stated, the value bases of education of tolerance in students are substantiated, psychological, culturological and communicative aspects of pedagogical tolerance of the teacher are considered. Methodical recommendations on self-training of the teacher, tolerant interaction with subjects of educational process are included.

초등교사의 분수 지식 실태 분석 (An Analysis of Elementary Teachers' Knowledge of Fraction)

  • This study investigated elementary teachers' subject matter knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge of fractions. The subject for data collection were 12 in-service elementary teachers and data were collected through written test problems. The finding imply that most elementary teachers understand fraction construct as part-whole, show low level of understanding of operator, ratio, and measurement constructions and word problem posing, using models, and developing the algorithms to divide fractions. The research results indicates that experienced teachers possess poor knowledge of fractions against novice teachers.

Theoretical Consideration of the Components of Preservice Mathematics Teacher Training

  • This research elaborated five components for pre-service mathematics teacher training: 1) Mathematical content knowledge, 2) Pedagogical content knowledge, 3) Pedagogical reasoning, 4) System of training, and 5) Mathematics teachers' beliefs. For the effect teaching, mathematics teacher program should be reformed. The key to improvement should be concerntrated on developing knowledge about effective teaching and translating it into algorithms those teachses can learn and incorporate in their planning prior to teaching. A theory of instruction should specify the most effective sequences in which to present the materials to be learned.

예비교사의 프로그래밍 교수내용지식 향상을 위한 프로그래밍 교육프로그램 설계 (Designing Programming Curriculum for Developing Programming Pedagogical Content Knowledge of Pre-service Informatics Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 프로그래밍 교육을 효과적으로 실시하기 위한 실제적 능력을 향상시키기 위하여 프로그래밍 교육 프로그램을 설계하고 적용하여 예비교사의 프로그래밍 교수내용지식의 변화를 확인한 연구이다. 제작된 교육 프로그램에서는 블록 기반 모바일 프로그래밍 언어인 앱 인벤터를 사용하였고, 문제 기반 학습 방법과 프로젝트 기반 학습 방법을 활용하였다. 개발된 교육프로그램을 예비정보교사에게 교육하고 프로그래밍 교수내용지식을 확인하기 위한 평가문항으로 자기평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과 문제 기반 학습 방법으로 프로그래밍을 학습한 후 프로그래밍 교수내용지식 점수와 교수법영역 지식의 점수가 유의하게 향상되었고, 프로젝트 기반 학습 방법을 적용한 후 내용지식영역, 교수법영역, 교육과정영역의 점수가 유의하게 향상되었다.

한국 사범대학 수학교육과의 교육과정 및 교수방법 분석 (An analysis on the curriculum and teaching methods of Korean mathematics education departments)

  • This study has examined the current status of mathematics education departments by analyzing its curriculum and teaching methods. We analyzed data set of the number of faculty and students, curricula, textbooks and instructional methods among 23 mathematics education department in Korea. The data reveals that the curricula of the universities of education has shown that more content knowledge subjects are taught than pedagogy knowledge subjects. However, it is important to note that there is increasing emphasis on pedagogical content knowledge. In addition, the curricula of mathematics education departments deal with various aspects of pedagogical content knowledge. What matters is whether the system works for developing a sound and deep understanding of fundamental aspects of the subject matter in future mathematics teachers. The results of the study point to the importance of pedagogical content knowledge and to the essential components that can promote further understanding of effective teaching for preparing future teachers in mathematics education departments.
