저류형 옥상녹화의 우수유출저감에 대한 연구 (Runoff Reduction Effect of Rainwater Retentive Green roof)

  • Purpose: There is a growing interest in rainwater runoff reduction effect of green roof, as flooding caused by increasing impervious surface is becoming more and more frequent in urban areas. This study was conducted to prove runoff reduction and runoff delay effect of the retentive green roof and to investigate its influencing factors to the rainfall events that occurred in the summer of 2013. Method: The experiment intended to monitor the runoff quantity of the retentive green roof($140m^2$) and normal roof($100m^2$) in #35 building in Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea for 75 days in 2013. Result: On analysis of 9 rainfall events, it showed that the retentive green roof has 24.8~100% of runoff reduction ratio, 21.2~100% of peak flow reduction ratio, 0.5~3.75 hours of peak delay, and $1.8{\sim}7.2m^3$ of retaining capacity in an area of $140m^2$. It shows different results depending on rainfall and antecedent dry days. The results show that runoff reduction effect is effective when the rainfall is less than 50 mm and antecedent dry day is longer than five days on average. By installing retentive green roofs on buildings, it can help mitigate urban floods and rehabilitate urban water cycle.

유출저감을 위한 유역내 침투시설의 적용 (An Application of Infiltration Facilities for Reducing the Runoff in the Basin)

  • 유역의 도시화는 유출총량과 첨두유량의 증가와 도달시간이 감소시키며, 홍수피해의 위험성을 더욱 크게 만든다. 침투시설은 도시유역의 유출총량과 첨두유량을 감소시킬 수 있고, 그 종류에는 침투트렌치와 투수성 포장재 등이 있다. 본 연구에서는 침투시설 설치에 따른 우수유출저감효과를 알아보기 위하여 경북 구미시 옥계동의 $0.18km^2$와 공단동의 $0.67km^2$의 면적을 가진 도시유역을 대상으로 하여 각각의 유역특성을 분석하고, 유출총량 및 첨두유량의 저감량을 WinSLAMM 모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 또한, 침투시설 설치에 따른 첨두유량저감효과를 분석하였고, 침투시설 면적비와 유출저감률과의 관계식을 도출하였다.

O-ring 을 이용한 원주의 저항감소에 관한 실험적 연구 (Drag Reduction of a Circular Cylinder With O-rings)

  • The flow around a circular cylinder was controlled by attaching O-rings to reduce drag force acting on the cylinder. Four experimental models were tested in this study; one smooth cylinder of diameter D (D=60mm) and three cylinders fitted with O-rings of diameters d=0.0167D, 0.05D and 0.067D with pitches of PPD=1D, 0.5D and 0.25D. The drag force, mean velocity and turbulent intensity profiles in the near wake behind the cylinders were measured for Reynolds numbers based on the cylinder diameter in the range of $Re_D=7.8{\times}10^3{\sim}1.2{\times}10^5$. At $Re_D=1.2{\times}10^5$, the cylinder fitted with O-rings of d=0.0167D in a pitch interval of 0.25D shows the maximum drag reduction of about 5.4%, compared with the smooth cylinder. The drag reduction effect of O-rings of d=0.067D is not so high. For O-ring circulars, as the Reynolds number increases, the peak location of turbulence intensity shifts downstream and the peak magnitude is decreased. Flow field around the cylinders was visualized using a smoke-wire technique to see the flow structure qualitatively. The size of vortices and vortex formation region formed behind the O-ring cylinders are smaller, compared with the smooth cylinder.

도시유역 저류지 위치에 따른 우수유출저감효과 분석 (Analysis of Rainfall Runoff Reduction Effect Depending upon the Location of Detention Pond in Urban Area)

  • 도시화는 유출량의 증가와 도달시간의 감소에 영향을 미치고 있으며, 이는 하류 지점의 빈번한 범람을 야기시키고 있다. 따라서 유역내에 침투시설과 저류시설 등 유출저감효과를 기대할 수 있는 여러 가지 시설을 이용하여 유출량을 저감시킬 수 있는 각종 규모의 지체저류시설을 활용하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 세가지의 형태(세장형(SF=0.204), 집중형(SF=0.782), 중간형(SF=0.567))로 유역을 가정하여 일반적으로 유역 말단에 설치하던 유수지(저류지)를 유역내의 임의의 위치에 설치하여 단일저류지와 복수 저류지에 대해 각각 유출저감효과를 분석하고, 이들 저류지의 위치관련변수와 수문학적으로 분석하였다. 단일 저류지의 위치에 따른 유출저감효과를 분석하기 위해 유역의 형상에 따라 저류지의 위치는 전체 유역면적에 대한 저류지 상류부 면적의 비(이하 저류지 상류부 면적비, DUAR(Dimensionless Upstream Area Ratio)이라 한다)를 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%로 변동시키면서 모의분석을 수행하였으며, 복수 저류지의 위치에 따른 유출저감효과를 분석하기 위해 단일 저류지 분석시 적용한 유역형상 중 중간형 유역을 대상으로 하여 방류구조와 유역의 제반사항은 단일 저류지의 모의시와 동일하게 가정하였고, 저류지가 분담하는 유역의 면적비를 바탕으로 하여 DUAR 60%, 80%, 100%, 120%, 140%의 경우에 대해 분석하였다. 이 때 저류지 바닥면적(Ab)의 크기는 유역면적에 대해 각각 1%와 0.5%를 취하는 경우의 두 가지로 구분지어 모의분석을 실시하였다. 저류지의 위치에 따른 유출저감효과를 분석한 결과 세장형의 유역이 적은 저류량에 대해 유출저감효과가 우수하였으며, 저류지의 위치 관련변수의 관계도 및 관계식을 제시하였고, 이를 시험유역에 적용시켜 검증하였다. 저류지 위치 관련변수의 관계도 및 관계식을 이용하여 단일 저류지와 복수 저류지의 개략적인 위치선정 기준을 제안하였다.

  • One of the structural measures for the peak flow reduction is infiltration facilities. There are many types in infiltration facilities - infiltration basin, trench, bed, porous pavement, percolated subdrain, dry well. In this study runoff reduction effect of infiltration trench is analyzed by WinSLAMM. Runoff reduction effect is investigated by each design rainfall and temporal pattern of rainfall particularly. The biggest reduction is shown in Yen and Chow's temporal pattern of design rainfall and the smallest reduction is shown in Huff's first quartile pattern. Runoff reduction rate is presented about 6 to 14 percentage, and the larger return period, the smaller runoff reduction rate.

SWMM 모형을 이용한 목감천 유역의 LID 시설 적용 홍수저감효과 분석 (An Analysis of Flood Mitigation Effect Applying to LID in Mokgamcheon Watershed using SWMM Model)

  • PURPOSES: In this study, flood mitigation effect of drainage asphalt concrete pavement were analyzed by a SWMM 5.0 program in order to evaluate the low impact development (LID) based on the drainage asphalt concrete pavements. METHODS: In order to determine the porosity parameters of drainage asphalt concretes, the specimen mixtures were manufactured using the conditions presented in the previous study. The numerical simulation was conducted using the SWMM 5.0 program considering the flood mitigation effect of drainage asphalt concrete pavements. The effect of flood reduction can be observed when drainage asphalt concrete pavements were applied to Mokgamcheon watershed. The flood mitigation effect analysis of Mokgamcheon watershed as well as continuous simulation of subwatershed runoff were performed through this study. RESULTS : The analysis of drainage asphalt concrete pavements was carried out for evaluating the effect on runoff, resulting in: the peak flow decreases up to 1.26~9.53% after drainage asphalt concrete pavements applied in the SWMM 5.0 program furthermore, the discharge decreases up to 0.55~4.11%. CONCLUSIONS: As a result, the reduced peak flow and discharge were found through the SWMM 5.0 program. It can be concluded that the flood is effectively reduced when the drainage asphalt concrete pavements are used.

엔진 내 냉각수 유동형태가 연소실 벽면온도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of Coolant Flow Pattern on Metal Temperature of Combustion Chamber)

  • The effect of coolant flow pattern on the metal temperature of the combustion chamber was studied in 1.5L and 1.8L gasoline engines. One of the main important points in the design of the water jacket is the increase of the coolant flow velocity. In this paper, the water jackets of the cylinder head and the cylinder block were visualized for the purpose of improving the coolant flow pattern. By the use of this technique, the optimal design of the size and th location of the water transfer fole was possible. And, to lower the metal temperatures of the thermally critical parts, the drilled water passages were employed. To investigate of effect of the improved flow pattern and the drilled water passages, the metal temperatures of the combustion chamber were measured. As a result of the temperature measurement, it was found out that both the change of flow pattern and the drilled water passages have significant effect on the reduction of the peak metal temperature.

만성요통환자에서 복부심부근 강화 운동이 노력성 호기 폐기능 검사 동안 최대호기유량 및 1초간노력성호기량과 요통에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Abdominal Drawing-In Maneuver on Peak Expiratory Flow, Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 Second and Pain During Forced Expiratory Pulmonary Function Test in Patients With Chronic Low Back Pain)

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of abdominal drawing-in maneuver (ADIM) on peak exploratory flow (PEF), forced exploratory volume in 1 second ($FEV_1$), and low back pain during forced expiration. Twenty-two subjects (14 subjects in experimental group, 8 subjects in control group) participated in this study. The stabilizer was used for ADIM training for five consecutive days. Vitalograph PEF/$FEV_1$ DIARY and visual analogue scale (VAS) were used to determine forced expiratory pulmonary function and low back pain, respectively. Independent t-test and analysis of covariance were used for statistical analysis with a significance level of .05. The findings of this study were as follows: 1) There were no significant differences of ADIM effect on PEF and $FEV_1$ between experimental group and control group. 2) There was a significant pain reduction in experimental group with ADIM. 3) PEF and $FEV_1$ increased significantly in the fifth day compared with the first day pre-exercise baseline. Therefore, it is concluded that ADIM was effective in improving PEF and $FEV_1$, and reducing VAS during forced expiration in patients with chronic low back pain.

도시지역에 적용된 LID 기법의 강우시 수문특성 및 물순환 평가 (Assessment of Water Circulation and Hydro-characteristics with LID techniques in urbanized areas)

  • 도시지역의 높은 불투수면은 강우시 지표 유출량을 증가시키고 지하침투량을 줄이면서 물순환을 왜곡시킨다. 왜곡된 물순환은 도시침수와 가뭄, 비점오염유출로 인한 수질오염 및 수생태계 훼손 등의 다양한 도시환경 문제 등을 유발시킨다. 기후변화는 도시강우의 계절적 편중현상을 더욱 심화시키고 도시 미기후에 영향을 줌으로써 도시침수와 가뭄의 강도 및 빈도를 증가시킨다. LID(Low Impact Development) 기법은 도시내 자연적 물순환 체계를 회복함으로써 물로 인하여 발생하는 도시환경문제를 줄일 수 있는 기법으로 다양하게 적용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도시지역 내 적용된 다양한 LID 기법의 장기 모니터링 결과를 활용하여 LID 적용 이후 수문특성의 변화와 물순환 회복에 기여도를 평가하기 위하여 수행되었다. LID 시설의 높은 저류량과 침투능력은 강우시 첨두유출 저감과 유출지연에 크게 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. LID 시설에서 강우시 평균 유출저감효과는 60% 이상으로 나타났으며, 유역면적 대비 LID 시설 면적비(Surface area of Catuchment area, SA/CA)와 LID 저류 용량은 첨두유출 저감과 유출지연 효과에 영향을 끼치는 중요한 인자로 평가되었다.
