  • Purpose: The high-end and variety of recently released items are driving the growth of the distribution industry, which is the purpose of private brand (PB) products. Because PB shortens the distribution process and lowers marketing expenses, such as those associated with various commercials, more people will buy PB while paying lower retail prices. The goal of this study is to make the case that PB can be positioned successfully by determining the influence and direction of each individual constituent concept on how product and store attributes (perceived price, image of retail store) affect the perceived value of PB and the legitimacy of retailers. Research design, data and methodology: The gathered data were examined using PLS-SEM using Smart PLS 3.0 in order to analyze the research model of this study. Internal consistency was verified to demonstrate the measurement model's dependability, and extensive validity analysis, discriminant validity, and analysis were performed to verify the validity. Conclusion: This researcher attempted to gather diverse understandings and viewpoints on PB trends in addition to understanding the existing state of PB products. It is meant to be a unique and successful plan in the PB Brands' marketing strategy. By understanding the brand's value proposition aspects, it is hoped to determine how PB influences brand attitudes based on the findings of this study.

  • The Pb-Ag-Bi-S system minerals such as galena-matildite solid solutions, cosalite and heyrovskyite occur in the Nakdong As-Bi deposits. Galena-matildite solid solutions commonly coexisting with native bismuth fill in microfractures of pyrite grains and form irregular shapes. Cosalite forms composite grains including native bismuth, heyrovskyite and Bi-Te-S system minerals in the matrix of quartz vein. Matildite from the Nakdong deposits has an end member composition, $Ag_{1.07-1.11}Bi_{1.12-1.20}S_2$, and an excess concentration of $0.3{\sim}2.4$ mole % $Bi_2S_3$ compared to the stoichiomeoic value. PbS concentrations in $PbS-AgBiS_2$ solid solutions do not exceed 54 mole %. The average chemical composition of cosalite in the study area is $Pb_{1.79}Bi_{2.29}Ag_{0.12}S_5$. Pb is slightly depleted compared to the ideal composition, but the concentrations of Ag and Cu reach as much as 1.47 wt.% and 0.27 wt.%, respectively. Heyrovskyite has the chemical formula of $Pb_{5.01}Ag_{0.26}Bi_{2.70}S_9$ suggesting that there occurs the coupled substitution of $2Bi^{3+}$ for $3Pb^{2+}$ as well as that of $Ag^++Bi^{3+}$ for $2Pb^{2+}$. The genetic condition of Pb-Ag-Bi-S system minerals can be confined to the temperature of $220{\sim}270^{\circ}C$ and the pressure below 200 bars.

  • The effect of various supplies of lead singly and in combination with aluminium on growth and chlorophyll biosynthesis was investigated in 7-day-old Vigna anguluris seedlings. Expose to 50 $\mu$N Pb or more drastically reduced root elongation rate. Significant depressions in root growth was observed within 1 day and no recovery of growth was seen over the duration of treatment period. Root elongation decreased depending on the Pb concentrations. Root growth inhibition was stronger than shoot growth inhibition. The initiation of lateral roots appeared to be more sensitive to Pb than the growth of main roots. Inhibition of root and shoot elongation by Pb was lessened by combined exposure of Pb and Al, suggesting that the presence of AA reverse the inhibitory effect of Pb alone. With the histochemical sodium rhodizonate method the rate of Pb uptake was dependent on the Pb concentration and exposure time of the roots to Pb salts. Pb was first deposited on the root surface and then translocated radially in the root cap cells. During a longer Pb administration (up to 72 h) Pb penetration was nonuniform, with accumulation within the cortex or endodermis. There was drastic reduction in chlorophyll content by Pb. The Pb inhibition of chlorophyll synthesis was concentration dependent. 5-Aminolevulinic acid dehydratase (ALAD) activity exhibited distinct inhibition from control. Reduction in chlorophyll content was accompanied by proportional changes in ALAD activity. Chlorophyll content and ALAD activity were less affected by combined exposure of Pb and Al, suggesting that Al has a protective effect against the inhibiting action of Pb on photosynthetic activity.

  • The equilibrium distribution of bismuth and lead between molten PbO-$SiO_2$ slag and bismuth phase was studied in the temperature range of $775^{\circ}C$ to $850^{\circ}C$ in a MgO crucible. The oxygen partial pressure of atmosphere was controlled by $P_{CO2}/P_{CO}$ ratio. The value of $(%PbO)_{slag}/[%Pb]_{metal}$ increased with increasing $SiO_2$ content of slag, and the value of $(%Bi_2O_3)_{slag}/[%Bi]_{metal}$ decreased with increasing $SiO_2$ content of slag. The concentration of Pb in metal increased with increasing temperature. These experimental results agreed well with the thermodynamic prediction.

  • This study was performed to investigate nutritional effect of various dietary fibers on lead absorption, and protein and lipid metabolisms in growing rats. Sixty male rats of Sprague-Dawley strain weighing 140$\pm$1.1g were blocked into 10 groups according to body weight and fed 10 kinds of diet different with fiber sources [non-fiber, cellulose, pectin, guar gum or carboxymethylcellulose(CMC)] and lead levels (0 or 1%) for 4 weeks. Results were summerized as follows : 1) Food intake, weight gain, FER and PER were remarkably decreased in lead(Pb)-added groups. Weight gain, FER and PER in Pb-added pectin group were significantly lower than those in Pb-added non-fiber group. 2) Liver and kidney weights, femur weight and length, hematocrit and hemoglobin content were decreased in Pb-added groups. Especially femur and liver weights in pectin groups were the lowest among groups. 3) Total protein content in serum was significantly decreased in Pb-added groups but was not different with dietary fiber sources. Total lipid content in serum was not different with dietary Pb levels and fiber sources, but cholesterol content in serum of guar gum group was significantly decreased by Pb addition. 4) Nitrogen, lipid and cholesteol contents in liver were significantly decreased in Pb-added groups, and lipid content in liver of pectin and CMC groups was lower than other groups. 5) Daily urinary and fecal excretions of nitrogen, kipid and cholesterol were decreased in Pb-added groups, and fecal nitrogen was significantly increased in Pb-added groups, and fecal nitrogen of cellulose and guar gum groups was significantly higher than other groups. Fecal excretions of lipid and cholesterol were increased by dietary fibers, and especially fecal lipid was remarkably increased in pectin and guar hum group. 6) Pb contents in liver and femur were decreased by dietary fibers. Especially Pb contents in liver, kidney and femur were significantly decreased in guar gum group. 7) Daily urinary and fecal excretions of Pb were significantly increased in cellulose and guar gum groups, and fecla excretion of Pb in guar gum group was twice of non-fiber group. Pb absorption ratio was significantly decreased in guar gum group. In conclusion, dietary fibers have effect on protein and lipid metabolisms, and decreased intestinal absorption of Pb by increasing fecal excretion. But the degree of effect was different with dietary fiber sources.

  • Lead (Pb) is a metal that is generally considered to be toxic to the cardiovascular system. Pb-exposed animals display the evidence of increased oxidative stress and hypertension. The current study was designed to examine whether Korean red ginseng (KRG) has protective effects against Pb-induced hypertension and oxidative stress in Pb-exposed rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to Pb exposure or control groups. KRG was administered in drinking water at a concentration of 100 mg/kg/day; the control group received plain drinking water. Animals in the Pb-exposed groups were provided with drinking water containing 100 ppm Pb acetate for 12 weeks. Blood pressure, plasma glutathione, blood Pb concentration, and hematologic data, such as red blood cell quantity, were determined. Pb poisoning was assessed by measuring the blood Pb concentration. Pb exposure (100 ppm) for 12 weeks resulted in a marked rise in systolic blood pressure and blood Pb concentration, as well as a significant reduction in plasma glutathione levels and red blood cell quantity. Other measurements, such as heart rate, body weight, and white blood cell quantity, were unchanged. Treatment with KRG significantly lowered blood pressure, raised plasma glutathione and increased red blood cell numbers in Pb-exposed animals; it also had no effect on heart rate, body weight, or white blood cell quantity. However, the elevated blood Pb concentration was not reduced by treatment with KRG (100 mg/kg). Taken together, these data indicate that treatment with KRG in Pb-exposed animals can reduce oxidative stress and lower blood pressure, suggesting that KRG might be protective against Pb-exposed hypertension and oxidative stress.

  • This study was performed to investigate nutritional effect of various dietary fibers on lead absorption and metabolism of protein and lipid in growing rats. Forty eight male rats of Sprague-Dawley strain weighing 75.7$\pm$0.7g were blocked into six groups according to body weight and fed six kinds of diet different with fiber source(non-fiber, cellulose, pectin) and lead level(0%, 1% ) for 4 weeks. Especially fecal excretions of nitrogen, lipid and cholesterol in Pb-free groups were significantly increased by dietary cellulose and pectin. 6) Pb content in blood was significantly increased in Pb-added pectin group. There was no significant decrease in Pb contents of liver, kidney and tibia, and increase in excretion of Pb by feeding dietary fibers. In conculsion, dietary fibers had no effect on the absorption of Pb, and dietary pectin seemed to increase Pb poisoning by decreasing bioavailibility of protein, lipid and other nutrients in the diet.

  • PbSe thin films were grown using PLD method on the p-Si(100) substrate. To determine what crystalline structure of PbSe thin films have according to the growth temperature, the films were prepared under a substrate temperature changing between a room temperature and $400^{\circ}C$. As a result of analyzing XRD patterns of PbSe thin films prepared at various substrate temperatures and FWHM of PbSe(200) rocking curve, it was found that PbSe thin film obtained at the growth temperature of $200^{\circ}C$ was best crystallized. In addition, the surface morphology of PbSe thin film observed using AFM found itself having the most regularly arranged particles in case of growing the film at $200^{\circ}C$. The measurement of Hall effect indicated that PbSe thin films were n-type semiconductors and that current-voltage characteristic curve exhibit the typical p-n junction phenomenon. In addition, electric conductivity of PbSe thin films was found somewhat higher than that of general semiconductors.
