  • The purpose of this research aimed at performing the easy design. and also the easy on-the-job application or the maintenance interval determination methodology by presenting the determining model or the optimizing maintenance interval in TBM for the preventive maintenance or facility TBM(time-based maintenance) as the preventive maintenance requires the adequate determination or the maintenance interval. The maintenance interval or TBM shall be applied differently for the each interval such as He patrol inspection, maintenance, overhaul inspection. exchange. And it is based on the composition level of equipment. The already informed theories or interval determination methodology for the patrol inspection. repair. and overhaul inspection are difficult for adopting because or the several restriction problems in applying the maintenance schemes as the theory So, the model for determining the optimizing exchange interval or part, maintenance interval of auxiliary machine, unit equipment etc. was presented to apply in the maintenance easily and appropriately.

Auto-Tracking Camera Gimbal for Power Line Inspection Drone and its Field Tests on 154 kV Transmission Lines (송전선로 자동추적 카메라 짐벌 및 154 kV 송전선로 현장시험)

  • In the field of maintenance of power transmission lines, drones have been used for their patrol and inspection by KEPCO since 2017. This drone technology was originally developed by KEPCO Research Institute, and now workers from four regional offices of KEPCO have directly applied this technology to the drone patrol and inspection tasks. In the drone inspection system, a drone with an optical zooming camera and a thermal camera can fly automatically along the transmission lines by the ground control system developed by KEPCO Research Institute, but its camera gimbal has been remotely controlled by a field worker. Especially the drone patrol and inspection has been mainly applied for the transmission lines in the inaccessible areas such as regions with river-crossings, sea-crossings and mountains. There are often communication disruptions between the drone and its remote controller in such extreme fields of mountain areas with many barriers. This problem may cause the camera gimbal be out of control, even though the inspection drone flies along the flight path well. In addition, interference with the reception of real-time transmitted videos makes the field worker unable to operate it. To solve these problems, we have developed the auto-tracking camera gimbal system with deep learning method. The camera gimbal can track the transmission line automatically, even when the transmitted video on a remote controller is intermittently unavailable. To show the effectiveness of our camera gimbal system, its field test results will be presented in this paper.

  • KEPCO Research Institute developed a GIS-based autopilot drone inspection system for electric power facilities and since its pilot application in 2017, it has been successfully used to detect defects in power transmission lines. This paper presents how to operate this system in the field of power line inspection. Power transmission lines are located in a wide variety of environments such as plains, mountains, river crossings, sea crossings, and industrial areas. Among these, some transmission lines are difficult for human workers to access because of their geographies and some should be checked more often due to their severe contamination. Considering these field conditions, we classified drone operation in two categories to increase its effectiveness and efficiency - patrol surveillance and detailed inspection tasks. This paper describes the detailed procedures of the two tasks above and their field application experiences. In addition, this paper newly proposes how to construct public drone roads by using the information of KEPCO's power transmission lines.

  • 765kV Transmission line is retained and operated by KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation), and KPS(Korea Power Plant Service & Engineering) has been taking charge of maintenance service. KPS is doing characteristic maintenance and inspection for 765kV lines for example preventive patrol, routine patrol(every 6-month), and close inspection(every 5-year), This paper presents the optimum maintenance methods and the related standards for 765kV line. This result will use to stabilize of 765kV lines.

  • Based on the problems of untimely Expressway fire rescue and backward traditional fire rescue methods, an emergency fire fighting and inspection robot riding on expressway guardrail is designed. The overall mechanical structure design of emergency fire fighting and inspection robot riding on expressway guardrail is completed by using three-dimensional design software. The target fire detection is realized by using the target detection algorithm of Yolov5; By selecting a variety of sensors and using the control method of multi algorithm fusion, the basic function of robot on duty early warning is realized, and it has the ability of intelligent fire extinguishing. The BMS battery charging and discharging system is used to detect the real-time power of the robot. The design of the expressway emergency fire fighting and inspection robot provides a new technical means for the development of emergency fire fighting equipment, and improves the reliability and efficiency of expressway emergency fire fighting.

  • IMF이후 건설 물량 감소에 대비하여 재해율은 증가 추세에 있고, 오히려 재해 강도율은 높아져 중대사고가 많이 발생하고 있는 추세이며, 건설업체에서는 안전관리에 대한 비용을 더욱 아끼려고 하고 있고, 비용 절감을 위해 재해예방을 위한 안전시설 비용이나 안전활동 비용을 투자하지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 노동부와 한국산업안전공단 및 재해예방 인력을 활용하여 안전 순찰 점검활동을 지원함으로서 각종 증대재해 위험요소를 사전에 제거함으로써 재해로 인한 손실을 최소화하여 국가 경제발전에 기여하고자 한다.

  • IMF이후 건설 물량은 감소하고 있는 경향이나 재해율은 그다지 감소하지 않고 있고 여전히 중대재해는 계속 발생하고 있는 추세이며, 건설업체에서는 안전관리에 대한 비용을 더욱 아끼려 하고 있어 비용절감을 위해 재해예방을 위한 안전시설 비용이나 안전활동 비용을 투자하지 않고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 노동부에서 현재 시행하고 있는 건설현상 페트롤점검의 실태를 조사ㆍ분석하여 문제점을 도출하고 효율적 운영방안을 제시하는 것으로 하였다. 현행 페트롤점검의 실태조사를 위하여 페트롤점검의 관계담당자인 전국의 노동부 지방노동관서 근로감독관, 한국산업안전의 각 지역본부 및 지도원 기술직원, 페트롤점검 대상 건설현장 관계자에게 각각 설문조사지를 배부하여 실태를 조사하고 분석하였으며, 또한 노동부의 최근년도인 1999년, 2000년도의 재해발생통계 및 페트롤점검 실적자료, 대한건설협회의 최근 년도별 건설공사 수주금액, 공사규모별 현황 및 외곽의 건설현장 페트롤점검사례를 수집하고 분석하였다. 이러한 실태조사 등 수집된 자료분석 및 각종 참고문헌 연구를 통하여 4가지 문제점을 도출하였으며 각 도출된 문제점에 대하여 효율적인 개선대책을 제시하였다.

  • The high pressure underground pipelines of industrial states such as Ulsan, Yeosu consist with not only the pipelines for the utility support such as Raw material of petrochemical industry and steam, but also high pressure pipelines of toxic, flammable gas intricately like a web. Therefore, in this study, based on in-depth comparison analysis of industrial estate pipelines, and underground city gas pipelines' safety management status, excavation frequency, excavation depth, patrol period which are pipe damage impact factor by the other construction are analyzed. And, as a result, risk changes and correlations due to risk reduction strategy of the other construction are compared to be presented the safety inspection operation model for the high pressure underground pipelines of industrial estates.

  • AIS and V-PASS, which are used for safe navigation and automatic vessel arrival and departure, are mandatory standard equipment installed on all ships. If an aircraft is equipped with a ship identification system using AIS and V-PASS, and then ship identification information is received by a vessel such as a large fishery inspection boat or a patrol ship or a ground control system, we can quickly perform maritime surveillance and disaster response. This paper describes the development of a ship identification and display system using a ship identification device for aircraft. Flight test results and a future application plan are also included.
