3차원 형상기반 기계상 측정 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of On Machine Measuring System using 3-Dimensional solid model)

  • In this study on machine measuring system based on solid feature was developed. This system was applied with injection mold using 3 dimensional solid modeler for verification. Developed program include pre-processor, main processor, and post processor. In pre-processor there are functions which check intersection, simulate motion of probe and calculate measuring time. Main processor generates measuring path and output NC code in Unigraphics. In post-processor functions that include evaluation of undercut or overcut and display of measuring procedure are offered. In addition analysis module for quality control of measured data on manufactured product was developed with geometric and dimensional tolerance concept. As the result developed program could get stability of system, precision of product, rapidity and cost down of manufacturing process compared with before measuring process.

비균등 트래픽을 위한 MIN의 설계 및 성능 평가 (Design and Performance Evaluation of MIN for Nonuniform Traffic)

  • 본 논문에서는 클러스터 지향 다단계 상호 연결 망(Cluster Oriented Multistage Interconnection Network)인 COMR을 소개한다. COMR은 통신이 빈번하게 발생되는 프로세서-메모리 클러스터에 보다 짧은 경로를 제공하여 지역화 된 통신 형태를 갖는 병렬 응용 분야에 적합하도록 구성할 수 있다. COMR에 대한 성능 분석은 네트워크에서의 경로 설정 성공 확률(probability of acceptance), 대역폭(bandwidth), 지역 참조성의 변화에 따른 평균 거리(weighted average distance) 및 비용-효율성(cost-effectiveness)에 대해 평가하였다. 성능 평가에 대한 분석 결과에 따르면, COMR은 지역화의 정도가 높은 통신 형태에서 동일한 네트워크 크기를 갖는 MIN보다 높은 성능을 나타내었다. 최악의 경우(worst case)에서의 N×N COMR의 직경(diameter)은 n+1로서 이것은 동일한 네트워크 크기의 MIN과 비교했을 때 단지 1개의 스테이지만을 더 가지고 있는 것이다. 따라서 COMR은 공유 메모리 다중 프로세서 시스템(shared memory multiprocessor system)에서 지역화 된 통신 분포뿐만 아니라 균등 분포 통신를 갖는 병렬 응용 분야에 적합한 MIN으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

GIS를 이용한 복합임도망의 계획 및 평가 (Planning and Evaluation of Synthetic Forest Road Network using GIS)

  • 이 연구는 체계적인 임내도로망의 구축을 위해 고규격 및 저규격의 임도를 포함하는 적정임도밀도를 산정한 후, 이를 토대로 구축한 복합임도망의 배치 효과를 5개의 비교임도망과 비교 평가하였다. 그 결과, 연구대상지의 적정임도밀도는 약 18.4 m/ha로 산정되었으며, 평균집재거리, 집재거리표준편차, 개발지수, 임도 우회계수 등의 지표에서 복합임도망이 가장 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 집재가능재적량과 집재가능면적에서 복합임도망은 간선임도망에 비해 약 4 %p 수준으로 비슷하게 나타났지만, 임도개설비용은 약 20 %p가 낮게 나타나 경제적 측면에서도 양호한 것으로 나타났다.

동적계획법과 적응 비용 변환을 이용한 영상 모자이크의 seam-line 결정 (Seam-line Determination in Image Mosaicking using Adaptive Cost Transform and Dynamic Programming)

  • 영상 모자이크 작업에서 두 영상 간의 경계선이 보이지 않는 최적의 seam-line을 구하기 위해 화소값 차이 변환과 동적계획법 이용 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 영상 간의 경계선은 두 영상의 화소값 차이가 적은 화소를 따라 형성되는 것이 시각적 부담이 적다. 이 화소들을 연결하는 것은 최적 경로를 찾는 알고리즘을 이용할 수 있다. 최적 경로 결정에 효과적인 동적계획법을 seam-line 결정에 직접 적용하변 화소값의 차이뿐만 아니라, seam-line의 길이에 따라 영향을 받는 거리영향문제가 발생한다. 이 논문에서는 적응적 변환함수를 사용하여 비용 변환을 수행하고, 변환된 비용공간 상에서 동적계획법을 적용하여 거리영향이 억제된 최적 seam-line을 구할 수 있는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 또한 결정된 seam-line을 평가하기 위해 일정한 개수의 상위 화소값의 차이를 누적한 값(SFBPD)을 척도로 제시하였다. 제안한 seam-line 결정방법을 다양한 종류의 영상에 대해 적용 실험하였으며, 시각적 및 SBPD 값에 의한 수치적 결과를 제시하였다.

Optimization of aircraft fuel consumption and reduction of pollutant emissions: Environmental impact assessment

  • Environmental impact of aircraft emissions can be addressed in two ways. Air quality impact occurs during landings and takeoffs while in-flight impact during climbs and cruises influences climate change, ozone and UV-radiation. The aim of this paper is to investigate airports related local emissions and fuel consumption (FC). It gives flight path optimization model linked to a dispersion model as well as numerical methods. Operational factors are considered and the cost function integrates objectives taking into account FC and induced pollutant concentrations. We have compared pollutants emitted and their reduction during LTO cycles, optimized flight path and with analysis by Dopelheuer. Pollutants appearing from incomplete and complete combustion processes have been discussed. Because of calculation difficulties, no assessment has been made for the soot, $H_2O$ and $PM_{2.5}$. In addition, because of the low reliability of models quantifying pollutant emissions of the APU, an empirical evaluation has been done. This is based on Benson's fuel flow method. A new model, giving FC and predicting the in-flight emissions, has been developed. It fits with the Boeing FC model. We confirm that FC can be reduced by 3% for takeoffs and 27% for landings. This contributes to analyze the intelligent fuel gauge computing the in-flight fuel flow. Further research is needed to define the role of $NO_x$ which is emitted during the combustion process derived from the ambient air, not the fuel. Models are needed for analyzing the effects of fleet composition and engine combinations on emission factors and fuel flow assessment.

무선 메쉬 네트워크의 최대 전송 성능을 위한 라우팅과 스케쥴링의 계층 교차적 설계 및 성능 분석 (Cross-layer Design and its Performance Evaluation of Joint Routing and Scheduling for Maximizing Network Capacity of Wireless Mesh Networks)

  • 최근 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경과 광대역 접속 환경을 필요로 하는 멀티미디어 어플리케이션 사용자가 급속히 증가하고 있으며, 이들에게 효율적인 네트워크 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 차세대 무선 네트워킹을 위한 핵심기술로서 무선 메쉬 네트워크가 주목받고 있다. 다수의 네트워크의 플로우들이 동시에 전송되는 경우, 각 플로우들의 경로 설정을 위한 경로 탐색과 각 플로우들의 전송을 위한 링크의 자원 할당은 네트워크의 효율성에 직접적으로 영향을 주는 요소 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 STDMA 기반의 무선 메쉬 네트워크에서 수리적 모델링을 사용하여 경로 탐색과 링크의 자원할당 문제를 동시에 고려하여 주어진 각 플로우들의 전송률을 최대로 수용할 수 있는 계층간 최적화 설계 기법을 이용한 알고리즘을 제안한다. 그리고, 성능 분석을 통하여 제안한 알고리즘이 다중 홉 무선 메쉬 네트워크를 경유하는 플로우들의 수가 늘어날 때 주어진 대역폭 자원을 최대로 활용하여 전송 성능을 향상 시킬 수 있음을 보였다.

플랫폼 보조서비스 수용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Supplementary Service Adoption of Platform)

  • This study focuses on the network externality effect related to the platform supplementary services. This study designs the network externality of platform and suggests a supplementary service adoption model. Additionally, this study examines the moderating effect of demand forecasting for the platform. Using AMOS program, a structural equation modeling has been used to analyze the research model. The findings can be summarized as follows : First, we find out the structural relationship among the factors (usefulness, perceived value, purchase intention) affecting adoption of the supplementary services. Second, positive perception of platform flow can promote the platform interaction. Third, positive perception of present users based on platform can arouse friendly evaluation in the platform interaction. Fourth, loyalty to the platform brand can improve the perceived usefulness of supplementary services, but cannot lessen the resistance to supplementary service cost. In addition, the moderating effects of demand forecasting for the platform in the path leading from platform factors to supplementary service factors were identified. In conclusion, traditional brand strategy may be effective in platform marketing activities but the extent of performance in the strategy can appear to be quite different. Therefore, taking the relationship with network externality into consideration should be involved in the marketing strategy in platform.

Experimental and analytical evaluation of a low-cost seismic retrofitting method for masonry-infilled non-ductile RC frames

  • This study evaluates the effectiveness of a newly developed retrofitting scheme for masonry-infilled non-ductile RC frames experimentally and by numerical simulation. The technique focuses on modifying the load path and yield mechanism of the infilled frame to enhance the ductility. A vertical gap between the column and the infill panel was strategically introduced so that no shear force is directly transferred to the column. Steel brackets and small vertical steel members were then provided to transfer the interactive forces between the RC frame and the masonry panel. Wire meshes and high-strength mortar were provided in areas with high stress concentration and in the panel to further reduce damage. Cyclic load tests on a large-scale specimen of a single-bay, single-story, masonry-infilled RC frame were carried out. Based on those tests, the retrofitting scheme provided significant improvement, especially in terms of ductility enhancement. All retrofitted specimens clearly exhibited much better performances than those stipulated in building standards for masonry-infilled structures. A macro-scale computer model based on a diagonal-strut concept was also developed for predicting the global behavior of the retrofitted masonry-infilled frames. This proposed model was effectively used to evaluate the global responses of the test specimens with acceptable accuracy, especially in terms of strength, stiffness and damage condition.

3축 가공기를 이용한 곡면 금형의 연마 정밀도 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of Finishing Accuracy Using 3-Axis Machine for Curved Surface Dies)

  • The finishing process for die is an important process because it has influence on final quality of products. Recently s study on development of 5-axis die automated finishing machine has been progressed. But die must be moved from the cutting machine to the die automated finishing machine. So manufacturing cost and time increase and machining error occurs by transfer. So, in this study, a 3-axis machining center was applied to die finishing. Because cutting tool can be changed to finishing tool by ATC, both of cutting and finishing process are possible on the machine. However, this application results in the decrease of finishing for the improvement of form accuracy. So this study focused on the generation of finishing tool path suitable to 3-axis die finishing for the improvement of form accuracy. The form accuracy evaluation is performed by the measurement of removal depth using a stylus profilometer. From the result, it is confirmed that form accuracy was improved less than 2$\mu$m of removal depth error.

Web-based Three-step Project Management Model and Its Software Development

  • Recently the technical advances and complexities have generated much of the difficulties in managing the project resources, for both scheduling and costing to accomplish the project in the most efficient manner. The project manager is frequently required to render judgments concerning the schedule and resource adjustments. This research develops an analytical model for a schedule-cost and risk analysis based on visual PERT/CPM. We used a three-step approach: 1) in the first step, a deterministic PERT/CPM model for the critical path and estimating the project time schedule and related resource planning and we developed a heuristic model for crash and stretch out analysis based upon a time-cost trade-off associated with the crash and stretch out of the project. 2) In second step, we developed web-based risk evaluation model for project analysis. Major technologies used for this step are AHP (analytic hierarchy process, fuzzy-AHP, multi-attribute analysis, stochastic network simulation, and web based decision support system. Also we have developed computer programs and have shown the results of sample runs for an R&D project risk analysis. 3) We developed an optimization model for project resource allocation. We used AHP weighted values and optimization methods. Computer implementation for this model is provided based on GUI-Type objective-oriented programming for the users and provided displays of all the inputs and outputs in the form of GUI-Type. The results of this research will provide the project managers with efficient management tools.
